Reperio 16:33With the weekend free, I grabbed the family and headed over to Cowra for a couple of hours caching. As we took a drive on a loop out of town, we stopped by here where the cache was quickly found. Cache lid has become disconnected with the container, but cache contents all good.Gratias southy1As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV

Very quick find. Cache was uncovered, but still safe. We put some camo over it to help disguise it from curious muggles. Nice large cache, so I was able to leave a TB.Signed the log LHoTL.tftc!

It was time for the traditional post Christmas road trip. The stockings were emptied of presents, feasts were devoured and great times were had with family and friends. Now to get away!Day 4: After an epic sunrise on top of the hill this morning it was time to leave Young and head for Bathurst.As I reached for the container (the lid is not secure) I spotted the large resident who had taken up home inside. It took a while to evict them so that we could sign the log. I highly recommend changing the container as it is no longer able to be sealed and it could ignite a fire on a hot day.Thanks southy1 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! The second day of our geo adventure holiday, after camping down by the river at Darby Falls, we set off to explore the Cowra region as it is somewhere we have never ventured and with lots of history to explore

Cowra trip Winter 2023 Day 2. I have been watching the growing number of caches in and around Cowra so I felt it was time to head out there and see how I could go trying to find them. The Canberra weather was pretty dreary, but it got nicer the further west I went. The caching was a bit up and down, I was happy to find some really difficult caches, but then failed to find others. The second day was a time to visit the War cemetery and the POW camp. I have not been as far into either as much before. I managed to find all but one of the caches I tried today. I had an uneventful drive home and it got wetter as I went. I wonder where I will go next ?

This was a short drive out of town, but was a nice simple find, although the lid's wire is gone and there is no log book that I could find. Image available.

First find for the cache day , now hidden away better

We decided that it was time to go on a day trip to Cowra to look for some of the new caches that had popped up in the area since we were last there. Texted Rapidlywild to see if she was interested in joining us on for the journey. It was a pretty cold day with the winds but thankfully no rain which was a bonus. No DNF's for us today which was a great and all caches were found pretty quickly and we managed to get all of the caches we targeted with a couple of labs thrown in for good measure.

We were running out of light fast but managed a quick find here. Signed and off to the last one on our caching journey today.

The FFLL ladies had decided they wanted to go on a little tiki tour around Cowra and reached out with an invite, yes please It was a cold day however the rain held off and we were able to achieve our target area and managed to clean up again for a while. We completed 2 labs and a heap of trads and assorted caches which included an unexpected FTF.

A nice easy find here, signed and replaced as found. This one needs some CO attention as the cache lid cannot be attached anymore, so it is at high risk of being filled with water.

Fitzy_1965 and I decided to head to Cowra for the weekend. We had a late sleep in then hit the road.

As it has been a few years since we were last here, there has been a nice number of new caches in the area. Fitzy had kept himself busy by doing all the puzzling before headed out. Always good to find a Joshwa27 cache or two along with caches by others along the way.

We had a fun couple of days and found a nice camp spot for our second night in using the van instead of our tent. Definitely warmer than Bathurst last weekend.

All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. Many thanks to the CO’s.

28,219. Found with minniek during a fun weekend run up to Cowra.

Over many years of caching runs around and through Cowra I have come to really enjoy this town with some amazing history. We had previously - after many visits - finally 'cleaned out' Cowra, so it was fantastic to see many new caches by Joshwa27 and tandm86 (plus some others) appearing everywhere. So much so that we decided on a last minute run up this way this weekend. A post lunchtime departure from Goulburn led to a mid afternoon arrival in Cowra where we knocked off about 16 caches. This was the next one. Took a while to locate, then had to empty some water out as the lid keeps falling off. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed to the next one on our list.

No luck for me today. Spotted a lizard though, and the bee hive in the log is impressive. DNF!

While staying in Cowra for a bit longer, along with ilook4geo, we continued the hunt for more caches where the puzzles had been solved, as well as some traditionals. We had a good pick up and each log found was decorated with two more names. Thanks go to southy1 for placing this cache.

Did some cache hunting around Cowra with goingplaces2. Enjoyed the day and the caches found. Log was signed and all was replaced. TFTC.
