After the construction of the pier this cache is no longer able to be found, unfortunately that means pier hunting must come to an end
This probably needs to be disabled until the construction in the area has ceased. All fenced off at the moment.
Construction has it all fenced off.. no idea what this mini beach everyone is speaking of..
We were lucky today, my muggle partner and l as there is construction going on probably through the week. We came down on a Sunday and walked along the little mini beach as suggested by a previous finder and after a little bit of a search found the prize.Love the little mini adventure.TFTC.
It looks like there’s construction going on at the pier but you can still locate the cache if you walk along the mini beach to get under
Couldn’t attempt this find today with construction happening at the pier. Too many workers around
Couldn’t fight the urge to come back later in the day. The tide was getting high but I managed to still sneak under the pier without getting wet. Easy find once I was down there. TFTC
For some reason their was two containers when I went to go check up on it Maybe it was the old one that went missing… but anyways I took one away and moved the items into the new container.
Lucky day for us!We had tried before and didn’t find it. Thanks for the hide - great location
We went pier hunting on this very blustery day which works well when you are geocaching in normally busy locations. The fit Triton climbed down and went under the pier as luck would have it the tide was out. He took some photos of the relics underneath then went to work searching for the cache. It wasn’t long before the container was in hand.
Thanks Em1croc for the placement in an unusual location.

Been down to Melbourne I’ve done a few cases along the Murray long river in town. Yeah we’ve come around towards Williamstown noticed this one went for a bit of a walk and we’re in luck due to the tide being out so we manage to give this one. thanks for a great hide.
Out with Weirdobiker, and we both approached this from very different ways. They went along the beach, I went over the railing and we both searched. I was lucky to get the find and didn't mind putting my hand in where I couldn't see. So glad the tide was low! A great hide, thanks.
Luckily the tide was low and I went a different route to get to this cache than Connie&Rick did. After a short search we came up with the goods.
Went to go check on it a thought i would replace the container, i upgraded it to a regular sized

I had nothing better to do this evening, so parked at a railway station near home and caught the first train after 6 for a caching adventure. The only question was where?
Why not Willy?
Picking off some terminated termini, I walked from North Williamstown Station to the beach, and discovered that I'd won the tidal lottery. As well as the guessing game of where the cache hid.
Thanks, Em1croc, for a beaut little challenge by torchlight.

We were surprised to see a number of muggles hovering near the Pier area this afternoon, but fortunately they all wandered off in different directions by the time we arrived near GZ. The time of day was right to find this one and whilst there a new log sheet was put in and signed at 1.51pm #9972 TFTC Emilia - now it is time to continue our pursuit of the History of Williamstown with Robmc.
Found much quicker than expected. Won with the time of day - that wasn’t planned!
I was in between LAX games around the area.
Still needed to put a smiley on this one.
Good day for it.
The boots came in handy.
The tide was on my side.
I looked in all the wrong spots.
Then found the right one.

FUF009 is visiting so we are having a caching day around Willy, Altona and Newport. That was a difficult find. We had to message a friend for a hint. Tftc
Find # 12544
Found with sharkiefan.
Another weekend down in the big smoke with my buddy
Focusing on Labs a couple of challenges and the odd physical cache that pops up on the map.
Managed to keep my feet dry. Found after a long search and PAF.

Found got wet feet though. This was fourth time looking put glad I pursissed. Forgot pen or pencil so will write my name next time.
After a busy 4 days at the F1, it was time for caching with Firesafe. A good wander and drive around the KCT trail nearby and then down to here at the coastline. Some interesting finds, views and info along the way. TFTC
Spent a recovery day after a busy 4 days at the Australian Grand Prix, caching with NurseyJulie.
No particular plan but we just followed the GPS grabbing caches and labs along the way.
Thanks to all the cache owners for maintaining the caches.
Even achieved 16000 steps today.

This could have been much harder but I came with a previous finder and we timed the tide perfectly.
Thanks Emilia
Thanks Emilia
It took 2 of us under here.
It is quite uncomfortable down here.
We were lucky and fluked the low tide… no issues.
Once Mrs Riddell joined in the search, it was a quick find.

Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. Today we had unfinished business back in Williamstown and Altona.
This is one of the caches found today. We were glad it was low tide, thankfully I came up with the goods in no time at all.
Thanks Em1croc for the cache.

With a unexpected change in plans for today, I contacted Rebel Acts to see if he was available for some short notice caching enjoyment.
The day was long but certainly filled with much laughter and caching stories.
Cheers for the cache

The hint really helped here, and thankfully it was low tide! A bit of cache logic and mad the find quickly. A great spot and adventure, thanks for placing.

We always enjoy a day by the water and today was no different. Well not sure about enjoying this one! Peering here, peering there - somewhat challenging for folks of our age! We were very greatful for some guidance from the CO. A little more peering and feeling and the cache was in hand.
Thanks to Em1croc for adding this cache to the gameboard.

TFTC Emilia! What a clever little spot to go mudlarking when not many around. Just the right time of day

Fortunately the tide was out and it was a matter of checking the logical places. TFTC.
With a day off today, I went right from one end of the green line to the other with a caching trip in Williamstown I'd been thinking about for a long time but never actually acted upon until today.
The weather was downright miserable the entire time and I seemed determined to wreck my already pretty beaten shoes with all the walking through surfaces of varying consistencies!
Still, the intermittent rain did a good job of scaring away the muggles and I managed to get some caches I suspect would've been significantly more difficult on a nice day.
Well whose idea was it to buy a hot chocolate right before attempting this cache?
Whoops, that'd be me.
I didn't want to leave it unattended or drink it all at once, so I decided to take it with me and rockhop my way to gz with only one hand.
I was very lucky that the tide was out which made the process a bit easier and I was in and under the pier before long.
It was a bit easier to move around in there given it didn't have the weird squishy muddy sand concoction that I quickly realised my shoes would not be able to cope with.
I checked some of the likely spots, then branched out a bit, until the reliable phone camera trick ended up revealing the container a bit further in than where I'd been basing the majority of my search.
I greatly enjoyed the novelty of this cache and always appreciate an opportunity to go wandering over rockpools and under piers, so it was very nice to experience both (even better with a hot chocolate in hand!)

Took the geo-pup and geo-mum on a big walk around Williamstown to collect some new caches that have popped up in the area. We walked about 8km today and picked up this one on our travels. TFTC:)
Oh my gosh this has taken me so many try to find this!!! Finally So, so happy . Thx so much!!
Great little Cache, took three goes to find it. I messaged the owner for an extra hint and found it straight away. I can’t believe I never thought to look there!

Was near by and decided to have a check up, the container was getting old so I replaced it with a small stamina container, happy hunting
A few wanderers around so took a previous finders advice and came in from the other side. A bit of crabbing around soon found the cache. T4TC

Not an easy geocache to find. We came at the right time as the tide was way out, but of course the rocks are very slippey and covered in seaweed, Fortunately there were no accidents and we spotted the cache in just the right way for a quick find.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today. This was right at the edge of our comfort zone so it was good to find and make our mark.

Suscoe headed to Melbourne today.
It was a pleasant late Autumn day with early sun and later on some clouds and a few spits of rain that hit the windscreen.
We enjoyed our day catching up with family and had the chance to pick up a few caches in between.
Thanks to Emilia for this hide, just made the tail end of low tide.
We were lucky to start at the right spot and a few looks later we had the cache in hand.
Thanks to the other cachers for removing the cobwebs.

Found by Mary and David at 16:35. Certainly haven't been here before. M didn't dare risk her dodgy knees, so D ventured below while M sat on a nearby seat and watched the ships depart. Took him ages and, like others have said, could have used a bike helmet to help with some head bumps. Eventually hit the correct spot and logged our visit. D emerged covered in dust and cobwebs, but at least the ground there was dry. Gets a FP. Our thanks to Emilia_rossiiiii.
Coordinates are good and I chanced on a low tide so access not a problem. Fresh water meets salt water, (see photo) on a calm morning. TFTC
Not really a good spot under here dangerous slippery and wear a helmet ..I m pretty sure theirs asbestos under here .so how bunjil ever let this one out their is beyond me..
Another DNF after our last failed attempt at the garden bed over the road. I was up and down, in and out, over and under, couldn't find anything - must be too good for me.

This was quite difficult to find. So many options. I was lucky to attempt this cache at the right time of day, and I searched for a while with no result. I was beginning to doubt that I would find this one, when I touched something. Voila, the cache.
Coordinates changed from:
S 37° 52.149 E 144° 53.695
Coordinates changed to:
S 37° 52.152 E 144° 53.695
Distance from original: 18.3 feet or 5.6 meters.
I went and checked on this cache and I realized the coordinates were off by 5 meters! I just updated and they should be on the dot now.

I found this cache today on my Wednesday Walk Around Williamstown. As I arrived at GZ, I quickly ascertained where the cache was. Directly under two watercolour painters that were set up for the long haul. I looked all the way around and after a while thought that the only private access point would be from the east, albeit, a long way in. I crept down and made as little noise as possible to not signal to those above of my presence. Luckily, they were having a good old chat which drowned out any sounds that I was making. The cache was soon in hand and after 3 head bumps for the trip, I was out again, Surprisingly light in there. Our 222nd 4TF. Thanks from D B-A
Checked my tide tables for a good time to do this cache as I had fair idea where it would probably be.
Rode down there today, and although it was school holidays, there weren't many muggles to be seen.
Walked past this spot many a time, but I have never seen it from this angle.
Thanks, Robmc.

Congratulations on your first hide well done to you.
Another brilliant Melbourne afternoon so it is a good time to be out finding a few caches after work.
I was down this way to find a few caches down Altona way and noticed a green dot that was not on my map the other day.
After finishing at Altona I made my way to Willy to a place that I have been to before.
Luckily for me the tide was out enough to be able to look for this one.
On my first attempt I was getting asked if I was OK and what am I doing down there so I gave up for now.
Waited a while for people to move on, then explain Geocaching and show them the map.
Back looking and I soon had the cache in hand
A great spot to bring us all down to.
Thanks Rossi_emilia TFTC.

Congratulations on your first hide!
I had made the late night trek into the city to claim FTF on the new Shane Warne Virtual. Realising I had forgotten a pen to log a nearby cache, I returned to the car, and spotted this FTF still up for grabs on my way. Hmmmm…. Time for a change of plans.
With some quick research I felt like the time could be right, so I headed to GZ to take a look. Sure enough my research was accurate and despite not having my traditional caching footwear on, I made my way to the likely cache hiding spot.
Let’s just say being tall isn’t always helpful when finding caches. I maneuvered around and eventually spotted what I had been looking for.
Upon opening the cache I thought I had missed out on FTF, only to realise the names were the CO’s, and dated on the day placement was made. Winning!
Fortunately I was able to remain dry, although I certainly returned to the car dirtier and covered in more webs than when I started! This was a cool fun hide.
Thanks Rossi_emilia for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.
