Visiting the Adelaide region for a week from Port Macquarie. Today was a mixed day, this morning we drove into the city to visit the South Australian Museum and the candy store in Rundle Mall, with just a couple of caching stops on the way in. Our afternoon was dedicated entirely to caching, initially focusing on specific caches in the eastern and southern suburbs of Adelaide, as well as grabbing a few bonus finds with whatever time we had left. We then wrapped up the day with a fantastic Thai dinner. Managed to grab a park across the road and take a quick snap, a nice artwork. Thanks for the cache
#24878. Found as we worked out way towards out accommodation near Glenelg. Troodles' log contains our photo. TFTC.
After spending time in the Barossa Valley, StreetWalkerNZ and I drove back to Adelaide this morning as we fly to Sydney tomorrow. With the rental car, we are more flexible than we were on our initial visit when we mainly relied on public transit and walking.Spotted this virtual nearby so after lunch and a pole fishing cache, we swung by the angel portal. Scored a park right by it, did the obligatory photo shoot (just our names, we're too shy to be in the shot) and headed on our way. TFTC.
I stopped by tonight on the way to Goodlooks event. Thanks for the cool virtual Ismartis.
Saturday afternoon and the street was pumping but still we found time for a cache or twoMany thanx to Ismartis for the Virtual
14:05Our fifth full day in Adelaide with Suscoe, gave us the perfect weather and time for seeing a variety of construction methods as we explored the south eastern suburbs, What a portal for photos and fun! FP for a great spot. Our thanks to 'Ismartis' for adding this interesting cache to the gameboard.37824*This log composed and published using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK).*
We were passing by with our good friends Phetlern and we realised that there was a virtual cache nearby. We stopped and took the required image. Thanks to Ismartis for this virtual.
Nice little virtual.Had to wait for some muggles. I gave them artistic direction for their photo, they were grateful and offered to take mine.We had been to the. April for a fundraiser and squeezed this virtual in before our next appointment. Thanks for bringing us down this road.
Double photo with Classic Cache. As a cool ore-teen she doesnt like photos much with her Dad these days so we treasure a virtual ha ha snagged a coffee over the road too!
Visited this virtual during a caching trip to South Australia chasing specific challenge targets with some other easy types to boost the numbers. Initially felt quite exposed taking photos here but didnt seem to raise an eyebrow with the coffee loving crowd immediately across the road. Maybe this portal has its own secret stealth shield for peculiar behaviour.
I did indeed have fun with this virtual cache! Im surprised it took me this long to do it, considering I frequent the area. TFTC!
Today is blue switch day. In order to get the souvenir I needed a find.Luckily I had a meeting close to this GZ plus it was a fun thing to do.Since I was on my own I couldnt do anything create but I trust this angelic photo is sufficient evidence.Tftvc Ismartis
Adelaide day nr 3...Used public transport only.Last one for today! After taking a necessary picture I enjoyed my dinner in a Vietnamese restaurant nearby.I'm logging this hide as my 10575 find. Many thanks Ismartis for a placement.
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Ismartis [^]
Back in Adelaide, yeah!Going for lunch across the road, I remembered the angel wings. Time for a photo. Lovely place. Thank you for the Virtual.Greetings - pilot03V # 76 of 4496 caches
After over seven weeks on the road, I'm back home and finally catching up on all my logging.Caching in South Australia was fantastic, so many good hides to find, and we found ourselves zigzagging all over the place doing lots of geoart but of course ran out of time to get everything done on our to-do list. The majority of caches we found were in great condition and well maintained, which is a credit to all the CO's who placed them, so thank you.Our logs were mostly signed as 5 for QLD to save room on the log sheets, and no doubt, we'll be back again in the future ??
Out and about in Adelaide collecting some finds as we travelled.Came upon this virtual as we were in the area.TFTCache Ismartis
Took a late afternoon swig at this one. Now I know I am an Angel!! But I couldn't pass through the Portal. Hmmmm. Maybe not an Angel yet?
Over from Perth for few days to attend the Leap Day Mega. This was a bonus day thanks to the Qantas pilots going on strike - I was supposed to fly back today, but got rescheduled to tomorrow. So hmmm... what to do with an extra full day? Well I managed to get the hire car extended by a day as well so I guess there's nothing for it but to tee up a few more select geocaches and an extra LGA or two! This was one of today's extras which was well worth the short diversion to visit. The portal was clearly on the blink as this angel went nowhere! TFTC
Discovered the angel portal but must admit I am no angel. Thank you for this cache.
I'm in SA for the leap day Mega, some caching and a restful 5 day holiday. Let's see how that rest goes in the middle of so much new caching grounds!!! Today is day 5 and my Yorke Peninsula day to Aselaide day. Lovely weather, great caching and a relaxing pace has made for a great trip! This was a fun virtual location!
Adelaide day four: Teamed up with RoamingHowie, Papi4506 & Geoturtle37 to find some caches of interest. A quick stop here to take the obligatory photos - see attached. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this virtual cache, Ismartis ??~????????~
Geoturtle37, OzHockeyChick, RoamingHowie and myself are out picking up some selected caches before we all have to go our separate ways.We seem to have a small album of places we have visited that have angel wings for people to take photos at. Pleased to add this one. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.
Day #12 Leaping Forward AdventuresOne last day of local adventures with OzHockeyChick, GeoTurtle37 and Papi4506. 6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.During our stay we will log PestiHoot for Pestinette and Blackhoot.During our 5 days in Adlade, we visited the centre and around while following the caches and labs. We resolved some mysteries before our trip. We made some great discoveries and great experiences. Thanks to the caches we visited many sites evoking Australian culture and history. Thanks for the cache and the discovery of beautiful or original spots
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.Looked I have grown wings I am visiting Adelaide this week to attend The Great Leap Forward mega. Found during my mega adventures while having mega fun with deanside TeamAstro Found & logged using Cachly for iOS
Now the 2024 LEAP Year Mega in S. A. is over, cleaning as many caches in the area as possible!I hope this will be the closest Ill be to becoming an angel for a long timeThanks Ismartis for your fantastic efforts and for contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy
The Booos are in Adelaide for The Great Leap Forward.we stopped by here for the findThanks Ismartis for placing this cache.
Cache # 11044 on 1 Mar 2024Mega time! This is my first mega in South Australia so am very excited to have made it here from the ACT. Arrived Wednesday by plane and leaving Adelaide on Saturday for a road trip back to the ACT. Travelling mostly with Fox in Jox, TikvaNZ and ZQX, but also with others intermittently. Looking forward to grabbing a wide variety of caches while here! Today we headed to the Barossa Valley to pick up a selection of the Barossa power trail caches which we had solved prior to the trip. Then a slow trip back to Adelaide via a number of caches that ZQX had prepared with a few others thrown in for good measure. Around 40 all up for the day! This was one I really had to get, given my caching name! Photo attached. TBH, I think Fox made a better Angel than me! Thank you Ismartis for the cache and the fun!
In SA for the Great Leap Forward with AngelG, TikvaNZ and ZQX. Today is the Barossa region and other caches east of Adelaide.Grumpy Angel. Sick of flying around - I just need a good beer and a sit down. But TFTC Ismartis
Decided to get down to Adelaide for a few days as part of the Great Leap Forward Mega event. The general target was EarthCaches, Virtuals and Adventure Labs with plenty of other finds along the way.Busy little strip of a Friday night!TFTC!
After a big leap day of caching, Teen Tardis and Mr Tardis finished it off with a virtual. A good spot for a virtual cache.
We were heading towards the Mega picking up a few cache types that we wanted and this was one of them.GZ was nice and easy to find so I placed my angel in front of the wings and snapped a picture before she got taken by the portal. Many thanks Ismartis, a great idea for a Virtual, a favourite point from us.
**Today**Leap Day has arrived! Today myself, DSD, Muppet95 and pantspeople teamed up for a whole day of fun! With the mega event opening up at 10am, we decided to spend the morning cleaning out the city as much as we could. 8-12pm was on foot walking around the city, successfully finding two webcams, more virtuals + ECs than we could count and whatever physical caches we could grab on the way! Afterwards, we spent some time at the mega venue doing all the labs + getting goodies & refreshments to get out of the sun for a while! The afternoon was spent driving from street to street picking up as many epic caches on our list as we could, caching until we were exhausted! Thanks to all the COs -**This Cache**I thought if I followed in Harry Potters footsteps and ran full speed at the portal I would be able to get through. I wish I had remembered beforehand that he was a wizard & not an angel. So now I just have a sore head, which made me go a bit loopy TFTC
Found during a somewhat spontaneous and impromptu trip to Adelaide for 'The Great Leap Forward' Mega Event. Made the most of the unique opportunity and had a very memorable experience! Teamed up with Loci612, DARKSIDEDAN and pantspeople. Thanks to all Cache Owners for their contribution to the game.Stopped in at this Virtual. An interesting spot here. TFTV
Found in our group of six Queenslanders unsupervised in Radelaide mega'ing. It's Leap Day which is a lot more exciting than Christmas! And we are finding a whole variety of caches today. All logs signed or stamped as SQUIRM. Thanks for the cache Ismartis
Happy Leap Day 2024??The SQUIRM team has travelled from Brisbane for the MEGA. We are here for a week and a bit of Fun, Fringe and caching.I got to have a sleep-in today instead of getting up at the usual 5.15amn????.Now we are all back in Stacey's Mum and ready for a day of caching. We were heading to this cache when we saw the ice cream parlour on the corner and couldnt resist stopping in for an ice cream after taking the photo for this virtual
Things finally aligned and I was able to get myself to Adelaide for the Mega. Even better my buddy Spiffy- had made the trip too so we teamed up for some adventures. This cache was near our lunch stop and how could we resist an angel pic! Thanks to Ismartis for the fun and the adventure.
Recording AngelThis is the angelic entity whose job it is to referee the Last Battle, at which the Five Horsemen of the Apocralypse do battle with the Auditors. In the older Books of Omnianism, there is an Angel clothd all in white and bearing an iron book, who presides over the event. Such an angel has come into existence, and has been waiting for this event for centuries. However, by the time the event occurred, he was dismissed as an allegory for something that had already happened.
# 9228 Day 5 of the trip and it is finally Leap Day: Feb 29, 2024. I had an easy start to the day after yesterday's early rising. The mega didn't start until 10am. The mega gz was very busy, as always. It was fairly tight in the relatively small venue.Did the usual stuff, picked up an attendee bag, coins, pathtags etc. Then it was on to the gadgets. There were only 10 of these, but it was very crowded around this area.I managed to get out and grab a few caches too. I tried to get one of every type.An finally a virtual! Thanks for bringing me to charming Unley. I spent a quite a bit of time here this arvo .Thanks Ismartis for the Virtual Cache
Here from Melbourne with Fleabag for the Leap Day Mega and after some fun at the main event and after getting the Web cam caches we randomly looked for some others and this was one of them before Fleabag had to head to the airport. After a nice lunch and also a visit to the local ice cream shop we stopped by here for a quick photo. Thanks Ismartis for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
Visited the portal with some scary looking angels (Loci612, DARKSIDEDAN and Muppet95). Photo attached. Cheers for the virtual Unique one which was good to see. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their long lasting, and ongoing connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to Traditional Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
I couldnt resist this cache as I wend my way towards (hopefully) 11 cache types on this Leap Day. Thanks for this Virtual cache, Ismartis. Greetings from Christchurch, NZ.
Came by to get some awesome Chinese eggplant for lunch and saw there was a virtual nearby that I couldnt resist!TFTC

Naughtybunny and I went out to grab a few caches while looking at some shops nearby. This was the last one out of 11 for the day. and one we had wanted to do for ages. Somehow we must have been affected by the angel warp as it changed us in ways we didn't think. Cheers for a bit of fun!
This was fun! It's been on my bucket list for ages and today was finally the day.TFTC

Cold and blustery Christmas Day coldest I remember since 2006 when we went out to buy firewood. Shonkys angel wings fully visible here at the portal. Thanks for the virtual ismartis
Daughter over from Melbourne to attend a wedding. Just so happens Adelaide has been hit by a rain bomb. She needs to buy more appropriate shoes to suit the weather conditions & her fav shoe shop happens to be in King Wm Rd. We happened to park a few metres from gz hence the photo. Tftc
Day 4 of my trip to Adelaide with barb2e. Our main targets were LGAs, so we weren't after high D/T's. This way, I was also building towards a Challenge Cache back home that I surprisingly don't qualify for. All caches were found to be in good condition unless noted. They have been signed and returned to their hidey holes. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining these caches
Day 4 of my escape to Adelaide with Smittengranny and collecting a few targeted caches and LGAs. Love the picture. Tftc
My sister had a doctors appointment, so while she was chatting medical stuff, I walked around the area. No problems here, and my photo will be loaded immediately. TFTC!
I do love the Ghost icons on the map, so as I made my way to the airport for my flight back home to Brisbane today, I detoured via here to pick this cache up. Busy across the road, so I was a little shy when taking the obligatory selfie at GZ. I tucked myself beside the nice leafy tree and snapped the pic from the side. The latte sippers over the road could enjoy their morning without me posing as something I really am not... A nice spot that I did not know existed, even though up to 18 months ago, I visited another work office not too far away from here. There you go. Cheers Ismartis.
Our only cache for the day! Great concept
Based in the Adelaide Hills for a month, so what a great way to see the sights than with geocaching.
Ismartis, I found Angel Portal Discovered... today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Stopped on the way to the Pirates of the PA ribbean Project MAKING #4 event. I think the co is right, this location is a mystical portal. While i was taking my photo a " Glameow " ( see uploaded picture ) came through the portal. It seems the portal connected to the world of Pokemon.
Turns out that the only event that was on a day that is convenient for me was the Pirates of the PA ribbean Project MAKING #4,only a 100 kms one way. This meant i was going to get at least one puzzle, traditional, lab stage (s ), letterbox, multi, virtual, earth cache and a event. Things we do for a souvenir challenge. Only one DNF and i think that cache was missing.

Took geodog to this location hoping something magical would happen, like the sun coming out for a change. However the rain continued while geodog posed for photo while wearing 500 geocaching bandana. Tftc A favourite point from us.
9:30pm was the perfect time for this - a bit of activity on King William Road, but no one around here in Opey Avenue and just enough light for the photo. A fun Virtual on the way home, thanks for bringing me here Ismartis.

We are in Adelaide for a week's holiday and have been catching up with reles. Our niece left to travel back to Melbourne today but we have one more day and more caches to find! We were picking up some gorgeous artwork and printed goodies by a favourite artist of mine at Hyde Park Post Office and so we looked for what caches were nearby and this one popped up. There was a car parked right at GZ so the photo had to be taklen from an angle. JMelb was the Angel

At some stage or other Owl was in the area. Then she couldn't get the photo off her phone. Then she forgot about it. Was this a strange anti-caching virtex eminating from the mural? You be the judge!
On a mission to collect some virtual caches in town so driving around today getting requirements. This was one of our finds today. TFTC
Time for a Wednesday wander for a Rat, a Starfish and Ttrogg.
We met at Ikea and started or Wednesday Wander.

Today I was joined by S.A. Sewer Rats and Ttrogg for a Wednesday Wander. Normally it would be a Tuesday Trek but we wanted to attend an event in the City around lunch time.
Plan A: Cache around the City, attend the event and then cache around Western Suburbs. [^] That lasted until Tuesday when the event was postponed.
Plan B: Cache the Western Suburbs first and then make our way to the City. [^]
Well that lasted until new caches got published down South and Ttrogg's FTF started twitching and so Plan C became head South for two FTFs and then ---whatever
Everyone already knows I am an angel and here is the proof.

Traveled north to pick up the Rat from her nest then went south to met the Starfish at the Swedish flat pack place for a Wednesday Wander. There were a few newly published, and solved, puzzles that we all wanted but only a few caches had been found when some new caches were published further south. After pointing out that there were some newly solved puzzles in that direction the others decided to alter the day's plans to cater to my cravings. Two FTFs later it was back to whatever the plan now was. The enjoyable day out allowed me to increase my smilie count by 15, two multis, two virtuals, four trads and seven puzzles.
Thanks Ismartis for finding a great use for this nice artwork.

I’m visiting South Oz from Townsville for about a week. I’ve a few targets on my list and this more than likely was one of them.
This run sees me picking up one or two of the On ya Bike Series, SFE challenges, virtuals, multies and whatever else I can grab. Probably bitten off more than I can chew but will see how I go.
Now that’s done I’m likely going after some challenges and whatever else takes my fancy
Nice virtual.
Thanks Ismartis for placing this Virtual for my fun and games

After being in at uni for most of the day, I decided to try and find a few caches on my way home. When there was only one day left for the most recent round of virtual rewards to be submitted, it did not surprise me to see a group of Virtuals published all at once. A group that included my own, I might add. After already doing a couple of caches on my way home, I decided to stop by this one for one final find. Thankfully I was able to find a park reasonably close. I took the appropriate qualifying photo in front of this interesting piece of art work before heading back to my car; hopefully I did not look too out of place to the woman parked right in front of ground zero. An enjoyable cache; I would not have been aware of this mural if it were not for the Virtual.
