#22373 @1033Visiting Bathurst for the weekend from Canberra. A convoy of Canberra caches 'raced' around the track collecting all the caches. Cache easily found. Signed as CBI24. TFTC.
Tankengine, Youban and I left Canberra just after lunchtime on Friday and drove straight to Bathurst. We had solved many of the puzzles or at least started the solves before coming. We were looking forward to finding many smilies this weekend and hanging out with our friends. We met up with our friends and signed caches as CBI24 (Canberra Bathurst Invasion 2024). The group included Fitzy_1965, Minniek, Kittykatch, Joolay, FurfacesLL, GLISS!, Tankengine, Youban, Contesta, Domsky, TikvaNZ, Isopeada, Barb2e, and SmittenGranny. We had an awesome dinner at the Kelso Hotel Bistro Friday night. And attended the ever changing event on Saturday night at The Reckless Brewery Co. Breakfast was at a couple of cafes that were all good and lunches wherever we could find it. Our little cabin at the NRMA Paramount caravan park, where there was just enough space for all three of us (just). We slept ok, but the leaky taps needed attention. We had an awesome time and would love another chance to visit Bathurst again another day. This cache: Why not pick up this one too so we have a nice patch of smilies. Tftc!!!
A group of sixteen from Canberra decided to do the race track on the weekend so found them all. Signed asCBI24; Kutgw

Day 5 of our Bathurst trip with Team Crackers, Geoturtle37 & Papi4506.Today spent the day caching around Bathurst. All puzzles were solved before the trip. This is one of the caches we stopped at. A quick search and the cache was located, signed and replaced. We stamped the log as 'The Mob' to save time and space. Many thanks for placing this cache, Joshwa27, for us and others to find.
We are in Bathurst with The Drovers, Geoturtle37 & Papi4506 for a few days caching and were all looking forward to doing another lap around the track. We had already previously found a lot of caches around here many years ago and we were extremely happy when version 2 had arrived and we had heaps more to find.Knowing that we were coming this way we made an effort between the teams to make sure that we had solved as many puzzles as we could and this was one of them and today we were hoping to add another smiley to the board.Happily with this many eyes looking it turned out to be a nice quick find and our The Mob stamp has been added to the log book and everything returned as it was. Thanks once more for the cache.
*In the area with woolwood9. Bathurst and the caches around / near Mt. Panorama were one of the main areas of our trip - nice to be back here after 5 years.* We soon managed to get the container found here! It was time for the traditional post Christmas road trip. The stockings were emptied of presents, feasts were devoured and great times were had with family and friends. Now to get away!Day 5: After some rain last night (in the middle of summer!), the sun is shining today and it was time to cut some laps of Mt Panorama. I dont think the geomobile will be breaking any lap records, but we might find a few more geocaches than Lowndes or Brock. After dropping in to town for a spot of lunch, we returned to the mountain for more caching. Thanks Joshwa27 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Headed over to Bathurst today to grab a cache or two, and this one looked like a nice simple drive by cache. Almost parked on top of GZ, and once out of the car, the cache was spotted.

#22712. A quick find, but the log was too mushy to sign. Troodles included a photo of the log sheet in her log. TFTC.
An appropriate puzzle after completing the Mt Panorama circuit. Cache was a quick find, but it was pretty wet inside so we took a photo instead of signing the log book. TFTC.
This one could use a new log, it’s super mushy and there was a fair bit of water in the cache. TFTC.
Travelling and caching with RoddyC to Canberra & Bathurst before returning home.

We've come out to Bathurst for the weekend for a mini geo-holiday, with the focus mainly on collecting a bunch of pre-solved puzzle caches. After running parkrun in -2 degrees, GGCoconut and I met up with Team Canary and Its_Dozzie for a yummy breakfast before systematically making our way around Bathurst, Mt Panorama and beyond to grab said caches. Truth be told, I have never really been into 'The Great Race'. We were very firmly a Holden family though, and I do recall that I liked Brocky as a kid, because my big brother did. But I will say that these puzzles have kindled a bit of an interest and appreciation for the skill involved and some of the famous incidents that have taken place over the years. Managed to spot this one nice and quick. TFTC!

On our travels from Brisbane to Tasmania I'd planned a detour via Bathurst so we could drive the SS Ute around the track.
Before leaving we solved a few of the nearby puzzle caches and found them today.
All good finding this one.

#14880 - 1:08:00 PM; Day two of a caching mission around the Mid West Region with Sol de lune. The major focus of our mission was to collect "History of...." and other solved puzzles around Carcoar, Blayney, Millthorpe, Orange and Bathurst and many other little towns and villages along our route. After a frosty start, we finished the day with one DNF along with 50+ cache and adventure lab finds around Bathurst with a final stop in Cowra to wrap things up as we headed for home. Logs were signed or stamped to record our visit. Many logs were damp, with a couple very soggy due to the recent extended period of wet weather. Apologies for the generic logs. TFTC Joshwa27
Day two of a road trip from Canberra with LuckyL10n to the Orange and Bathurst regions to grab a few of the Joshwa27 puzzles. We headed up through Cowra, Carcoar, Blayney and Lucknow picking off the puzzles, as well as a few other multis and trads that time allowed. The weather was kind to us and it was great out and about for a while.
After a great night at the Kelso pub we were out on the road by 7.45am and like yesterday, the caches were found without issue and our names were soon in the log book.
Thanks Joshwa27 for the caches, appreciated the time that has gone in the research and the setting up of the caches.

A chance to get away for a Canberra Long weekend was taken and so fitzy_1965 and I made plans to head to Bathurst. It was our first try at camping in the back of the GeoMover. Whilst it was chilly, it was much better than having to set up a tent in the freezing cold. Snow is definitely on the way!
It has been a while since we headed up this way as evident by the explosion of unfound caches up this way. Always good to find a Joshwa27 cache or two but turned out to be a lot more this weekend.
All caches were found quickly and easily. Many thanks to all the CO’s.

28,165. Found with minniek during a (mostly) long weekend trip up to the Oberon/Bathurst region hunting "Joshwa27" caches.
With a huge number of new Joshwa27 puzzles being published (and solved by us), and a Canberra only long weekend, we decided to head up to the Oberon/Bathurst region for a trial run of our new Camping Van configuration. Lots of J27 caches and many other ones were the result. So much fun was had this weekend despite the nasty weather coming in on Monday. We were now doing the circuit of Mount Panorama hoping to clean out the area again. Quick find at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks Joshwa27 !!
