It was time for another drive in the country and the hills with Doctor Owl searching for never ending caches. We had targeted a few of the Jigidis along with others that we both hadn't found. I was really feeling my age at times along with my wonky foot and knee, but I made it to most of the caches even if very slowly (my balance is not too good in bush settings). Another fun day with a lovely meal at the Eden Valley pub along with a return visit for coffee on the way home. We encountered flies and ants, rabbits and a sleepy lizard, but thankfully no snakes. A nice quick find here. Thanks for the cache Mattycat.

One of three caches found along Keyneton Road today - presumably not here the last time I passed this way.

I know I’ve been to this church before - how could you forget that bell tower? There seems to be a lot of Keynes close to GZ. A quick find here, cache is something a bit different which is always welcome.

Thanks to Dazzle072 and Mattycat.

Found by Mary and David at 14:10. You could have left M here all day. She loves exploring cemeteries to see the carved designs and read the epitaphs on the headstones. A FP, and we are happy to see that the early pioneers are now back home in the area where they lived. Our thanks to Dazzle072.

Caching my way around the Barossa on this pleasant spring day with 3 friends.
We found the cache quickly, signed and placed back as found.
We then took some time to look at the other graves in the cemetery. Lots of interesting, old and sad headstones.

Visited here today as my great great grandfather was minster of the independent chapel along the road from 1890 to 1902. Whilst there, one of his sons was accidentally drowned in a local dam, and is buried here. Thought I should log this cache to mark my visit. Quick easy find. TNLNSL TFTC.

Just two Befuddled Puzzlers heading out to get newly published caches and anything else that we hadn't got whilst passing. Razz Today's was just me and S.A. Sewer Rat. Cool Today we headed towards the Barossa so I could do some maintenance and get a new stamp. As usual there were Dad Jokes and frivolity on the drives between caches.. Big Grin

This was a surprisingly quick find after waiting for some muggles to leave. Smile A lot of history here indeed.Razz

***Thanks Dazzle072 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Woo hoo time for a Wednesday wander, for duo of geo-animals.
The Starfish picked up the Rat from the Rat's den.
The duo braved the elements, and headed to the Barossa.
We had to wait for a few local muggles to leave.
The Starfish soon had the prize in his hand.
We stamped the log then replaced the price in it's hiding place.
A day full of stories, laughter and caches. Tftc

Seems to have been a bit of confusion here. I found the cache at good co-ords, nice work on the cammo.

Day 1 of my 5 day Geocaching long weekend away. This would be Find Number 32 of 38 for the day.

Not sure if it was the stormy skies or me not looking at the GPS but ended up way off but soon zeroed in on the location Great bit of camo.

A Friday afternoon drive with she who has no interest but with the promise of a pizza lunch at the Greenock hotel she was happy to tag along.
There were a few targets for the afternoon but the noggin head Adder forgot to load the required TOTT in the car so that was the end of that idea when arriving at the first of the GZ's Sad

All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.

Keyneton Oval or Cemetery History, This one was confusing.

Searching at GZ the only thing that stood out were a few of what the hint suggested securing the flower holder. When that proved fruitless a read of the description and that the co ords were incorrect had us scratching our head.

Were they wrong and it was at the Oval or had they been updated and now correct?

Reading the Cat's log we thought we would search for a little longer and only just stumbled on the hide. Maybe the CO might need to clarify?

In any case a 2nd to find silver claimed.

Thank you for the cache Dazzle072 Find Number 9909 on 29/07/2022

No luck here.
Coordinates take us to a cemetery, some interesting old Keyne history.
But nothing cachey to be seen at D1 T1.5 level??? Is it really good camo? More than D1?

Had a look at description, all about oval further up the road. A brisk walk around the boundary through the longer grass revealed nothing there either, although a long shot really

Have to return to Keyneton another day.

Thanks anyway!

The moated coordinates did not match the description. Maybe those that lie here used to play spot at the oval. Coordinates may need checking or I need to look harder.

23-Jul-22
The cache may be in grave trouble. Dead set sure it's lost!

23-Jul-22
{FTF} @ 1055

Trust the GPSr !!!

Despite the glowing description of the local sporting facility, the regular size given, and the D1 rating... leading at least a couple of cachers up the creek so to speak...
There was a cache log to sign at gz !
So sign i did Smile

The details may need a little adjustment in the description, but sure the CO can tweak that, and as H4z3l said, the folk here probably did like to play some cricket once in a while.

All in all a neat little cache. Slightly damp, but beats all those mint tins for looks Wink

Looking forward to the next cache in the area which I'm sure is in the planning stage right now Smile

Thanks for the cache Dazzle072

Keep safe, stay covid free and cache rich!
