Out with Firesafe today. A quick calculation to the GZ. Then came the find. Pole was short so took the initiative to use a second tott. Soon was able to retrieve and sign. Did find evidence if the previous cache too. Putting back we were able to get it on the 3rd go. A nice dt rating on this one. Tftc
Out with NurseJulie on our post race meeting catching day. TFTC Ladder and pole for this one
A local muggle found the cache on the ground. You are a legend Steve, and I thank you for your efforts in tracking me down. Tonight I happily received the container back, and placed it back in the tree with a little weight added to keep it from flying away. While there, I took a record of the names in the log book. Sorry, but if your name is not in the book, your log has been deleted.Cachers still to log are contesta, NibbletRiceCakes, Papi4506 ath GT37
Once we had found what we needed, the cache was soon in hand. Thank you for giving us a reason to stop and stretch our legs with the placing of this cache. It was found with no problems.
A new day and Geoturtle37 and I are slowly, very slowly, making our way back to Melbourne after having attended the Feb 29th Mega is South Australia. Sorry it has taken us so long to get around to catching up on our logging. We had no problems collecting what was needed nor location the cache. Thank you for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
Find # 123701/3/2024 Very delayed log and my thanks to the CO and a fellow cacher for bringing this to my attention. Better late than never. I know it was an awesome cache as it was so much fun being out and about caching with albida, isopeda, KittyKatch, Joolay, and barb2e.Thanks OZGrumpy for Game Set and Match #97 Reynella RSR
Adelaide Leap Day trip. Day 7. After yesterdays fun and games, there was a new plan for today and it involved a sweep to the south of the city to visit some ld caches and caches with D/Ts that are scarce. We started with the morning event at Walkerville before loading the team into two cars. A slightly different team made up of kitty katch, Joolay, isopeda, contesta, LaFavorite cacher, NibletRiceCakes, Gliss! andAlbida33. Logs were signed SALI-24 today. After the event it was to Unley for the Canberra gun cache and up into Howthornedene. Lunch was at Happy Valley and then we went to Reynella to visit some Quarries, before tracking back into town via some counties and a few ladder caches, not to mention a Texas cache. A long day with a few solid walks. Time for dinner and then home so we can do it all again tomorrow. These simple multis area a great way to get some of the extra types. Cache seen and retrieved safely. Thanks for the cache Brad&Janet4521.15 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2010 10 Years of Caching A#173Albida
When I first saw the CO's name I thought it was someone who lived near me and moved to Australia, OzGuff. However, I'm not sure where he moved - maybe it's New Zealand? Regardless, it made me like this multi before we even tried it!* * * * * * * * * * *The day:Day 3 of caching in lovely Adelaide was just as amazing as the first two! The group of South Australia Leap Invasion 24 (SALI24) folks included Nibletricecakes, Joolay, Isopeda, Albida33, Kittykatch, and GLISS! today. We met first thing in the morning and spent the entire day driving in the mountains and to the beach and inside the city to pick up a ton of great geoaches. The weather was sunny and hot, so the long hikes we took today were sweaty but successful. We didn't have any DNFs which is always a plus. Many thanks to my teammates today for the perfect caching day to complete my time in Adelaide. Look out, New Zealand! I'm coming for you.
Awesome to get this today. Getting hot but standing here there is a nice cool breeze.Signing as SALI-24 South Australia Leap Invasion made up of Kittykatch, isopeda, Lafavoritecacher, Nibletricecakes, GLISS! and Albida.Down for the Great Leap Forward. Looks like a lot of people are. Day 3 adventures. Thanks for getting me out and about OZGrumpy
Found with Nibletricecakes, Joolay, isopeda, albida33, kittykatch, and LAfavouritecacher on a busy day finding selected caches around Adelaide. Signed as SALI (South Australia Leap Invasion). Great retrieval by kittykatch. TFTC.
Day 7 of my Great Leap Forward 2024 trip. Snaking my way around the countryside. Today I joined half the Canberran Caching Community to start the urban caching proper. This was on our list due to the odd D/T and we stopped for this one on the way South. This was the first trip to the mainland for this group of Tasmanians in a while, we flew over on the 24th and left early on the 3rd. With 4 days in Goolwa followed by 4 in Glenelg we managed to get some caching done in different areas and pull in a select list of caches we all almost all needed, old caches were on the list as normal but also some different D/Ts with some high fav pointed cache making up the remainder. The trip didn't start well with Qantus losing a bag which made us rearrange a couple of days but we got some 4WDing in and a even some driving on the beach to get a couple of different caches, boat trip to Adventure Island was a great start on the day of the Mega too.All caches were stamped "Team Tassie" which consisted of myself, gooseandegg, Budgietas and Tassie TrekkersFound on 24th Feb thanks to the CO for placing this cache for me to find. The best caches I have found so far are:-Sentimental [Moorgreen P3:1, Penny Pincher](http://coord.info/GC32Z5B) By [Sven&Cup](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=6596795)Traditional [Hanging Around in Toorak](http://coord.info/GC62KAP) By [bobthebuilder_123](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=586681)Multi [Gawler Fort Knox](https://coord.info/GC5T0W1) By [**JEM**](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=11449141)Unknown [Men In Black Holes](http://coord.info/GC1DVB0) By [SG-3](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=918045) Letterbox [Rolf's Letterbox](http://coord.info/GC5NCYM) By [membsec](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=5318842)Earthcache [Totem Pole](https://coord.info/GC862H8) By [The Hancock Clan](http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?A=263428)Visit the [Geocaching Tasmania Facebook group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/318455407771/)
I've enjoyed solving a many of this series and enjoyed making the find here. We targeted this for the interesting D/T combination. Thanks OZGrumpyThe usual trio of myself, stainless steel rat and Budgietas was joined by Tassie Trekkers for The Great Leap Forward trip. We decided to cache down south around Goolwa, Victor Harbour and extended reaches for a few days, before basing ourselves in Glenelg for the second half of the trip where we cached around the city, the hills and the Barossa Valley with a highlight being a couple of hours on Adventure Island. Many thanks to the Mega Committee, all the helpers and many local COs who kept up busy and entertained. Most logs were stamped with Team Tassie.
Another of the caches we found today that were targeted for the D/TTFTCToday was a the start of our mega trip to South Australia for leap day 2024. The team Tassie included stainless steel rat, gooseandegg, Tassie trekkers and myself.A leisurely start to the day and direction flight fron Hobart to Adelaide meant we were meant to be in the car at 2pm, but due to an airline muck up the day started closer to 3pm.Our first target was Goolwa and we cached on the drive down to goolwa. We arrived at goolwa at 8.30, just in time to do some shopping and grab some tea before heading to the accommodation.TFTC we found as part of this day
Today, day 1 being a big day I left home at 6:00 am and met up with Gooseandegg , Stainless-Steel-Rat, Budgietas and headed off to the airport in Budgietass taxi. We left Tassie and flew into Adelaide for the mega being for the leap day 2024, collected our hire car and headed off to Goolwa picking up a few caches along the way chasing D & T types and filling our fizzy grid and this was one of them. We signed the log as Team Tassie. We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty.Enjoyed caching in this area, cache and contents were in good condition. Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.
Out and about with sir_spectre grabbing another in this series, that just seems to keep growing. Thanks
found with Mogni. Solved a while ago but didn't have the right TOTT with us. Passing today and thought to stop and make the find. That is high up. Just could lower it on full stretch of my arms and i am tall. Stamp log and raise it back to lofty heights. Lucky it wasn't windy today. I reckon i have found a letterbos cache in this park before about 2 trees away, alot lower than this cache.
with the right tool and not to much wind this ones a very easy one. thanks for this one OZGrumpy. TFTC
Solved this multi some weeks ago but didn't have the TOTT on me at the time to retrieve it. I did sight it however and decided to come back another day to collect it. I live a 5 min drive away. Fast forward to today and I got up at dawn to go and get it. Walked around for ages with my head stuck up in the air but could not locate it anywhere. Decided to give it a miss and went off to another cache. After finding that one, I returned to this one to have another look in bit better light. Still nothing. Came back later in the day to search with the sun at yet another angle and still no luck. Either I have cache blindness on this one or it's gone missing. I did notice a few weeks back that these trees where getting a bit of a trim. Maybe it went then. I'll keep an eye out to see if anyone else finds it and call in now and then for another look.
My son retrieved this one for his first pole cache.
Nice and bight container made spotting it easy.

I met up with Wal & Ol for some caches around the southern area, ones requiring a pole.
I had been advised that this cache had crept southward and into a different tree... somehow. We had a photo of the original cache position and spent a while searching and finally spotted the branch in the photo.
Up it went and all is back to normal.
Another cache in this cool series.
Thanks OZGrumpy for this multi cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3132 on the 15th of May 2023.
CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it!
Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!

My cycling fitness has dropped right off because I’ve been doing more caching than riding my bike
So instead of caching first thing this morning I was out on my bike with a mate to chalk up a 70km ride in the hills, and what a stunning morning it was
Now, now I’m out collecting some caches as part of my ride recovery
I collected the number, did the sums to come up with a final and away I went.
A quick find, stamp and return here today……note, the cache was only about 4m up, I couldn’t find a spot any higher to replace it to, so simply put it back where I found it
Another GSM and Tree Fishing cache bites the dust

4th time here...
1.. Calcs done... insufficient TOTT on board...
2.. Came back with a few TOTTs to do the deed, alas it was gone!
3.. Came again, after replacing, with TOTTs but too windy to attempt.
Then today, spotted the cache way LOWER than previous two sighted visits! Cache creep downwards!
Replaced where I found, as could not remember exactly where or how high it should be, and sent pic to CO to scrutinze...

Thanks

Got really stiff necks looking up for this one [B)]. Lots of places this could be, but couldn't spot it while we were here today, even after expanding our search area .Looks like we'll have to come back and try again sometime .Thanks anyway OZGrumpy.
Yay, time for a Tuesday trekking tour.
The starfish picked up the Rat from the Rat's den.
Then there was time for a quick couple of caches.
On to the snakes place to pick up a Snake.
We cached our way down south to met up with the Starman at the planetarium.
The awesome foursome then cached their way further south.
We parked the geomobile close by and walked to GZ,
Then the search began.
The elevation TOTT deployed. The cache retrieved .
Logbook stamped and replaced, on to the next one.Tftc

I used Brisal5's pole to get this one. For some reason the Rat did not want to touch his pole. Go figure!
An afternoon tour with the Rat, brisal5 and a Snake saw us finding while trying not to sweat There was talk of render, rocks and really hot pizza ovens, among other things. Now who doesn't like pizza cooked really well.....
Thanks to OZGrumpy and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]

One of ten found on a caching afternoon south of the city with the main aim being to attend the Community Celebration Event in Morphett Vale.
Last on the list for today and despite it being quite dark by now and it possibly being a harder retrieval was determined to have a look. Quickly spotted what I wanted so it was out with the TOTT and a mouth torch. Managed to get it down quite quickly so of course I was going to get it back up. It did take 4 tries but eventually it was back in place and I could go home satisfied.
Think I've only got ten of this nice series left to find.
Thanks to OZGrumpy for placing this cache for me to find.

Another Tuesday Trekking for some members of the Befuddled Puzzle Solving Group. [^] AnyMules was on Holidays and so plan was hatched for a trip south to attack some high terrain caches. Only myself and AnyMules were available but off we set. There were a few falls, some cuts, bruises and of course some blood. Just you typical days high terrain caching I guess. [:o)]
One final cache for the day. I had remembered to put the required TOTT into AnyMules's Cruiser and as he had already been to GZ without the correct TOTT I let him do the honours. cache quickly down, signed and replaced. he uses it better than I do!
***Thanks OZGrumpy for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Thankfully I have friends who have long ToTTs. So it was just a matter of waiting until a day one was nearby. Today was the day, so we made a quick stop here. Didn’t take long to retrieve or put back again.

Found with Team Waldron with a bit of improvisation after attending the South West Breakfast 110 event. Thanks for the cache OZGrumpy!
I've been to gz before but my pole wasn't long enough.
Today with Featherwaite we concocted a longer pole and retrieved the cache.
Replacement was tricky but we got it back.

I came past GZ today to find this one, I made a PAF and had no luck so called the CO who sent some photos and confirmed that the cache had gone missing, so back to the car to get a new cache to replace it to keep this one alive.
Today I headed south to attended an event in flagstaff hill so decided to leave a bit earlier and do some other caches around the area.

My dad and I take my sister to volleyball here (it is a painful 26km), but I guess my next investment will be some TOTTs
Stopped by at GZ today, on way home from Breakfast Event.
Scoped out the cache, went to car, only to realise I did not have my extension to the extension that's affixed to my pole... bugger... next time...

Now that all the podiums have been claimed I can now log this as a Beta tester. Placed by OzGrumpy whilst we were out on a cold wet Sunday afternoon in the southern suburbs.
This afternoon I met up with allister w after he finished work before being joined by Michells&hound to find a few higher terrain caches. [^]
A close to home cache that I had no hope of getting on my own so Allister kindly brought M&h and I here so we could get our names in the log. M&h arrived a very long time before us as we got caught in a huge traffic jam on the Expressway and by the time we arrived it had started to rain. We had all the required TOTTs and Allister headed up and soon had the cache down for us to sign the log. Getting it back was another matter entirely with the wind and rain and after a couple of failed attempts it was finally back where it belonged. Hurried back to the warmth of the cars and on home after a fun night.
Thanks for the cache OZGrumpy.

Well this one was epic. I managed to arrive an entire hour before JJ52 and Allisterw due to someone rolling their caravan on the expressway.
Allisterw had already found this one, the retrieval tonight even with the full moon was tricky with the darkness the wind and the rain. But hero Allisterw managed it again with his 3 TOTTs.

Data collection was straightforward and we soon had the coordinates for GZ. Once in the area, the cache was located without too much of a delay. We were not confident that we would be able to reach the cache with the equipment available but Mrs y'stassie was able to retrieve the cache by holding the 7m pole above his head with his arms at full stretch. The cache and contents were in good condition. Then the fun started - returning the cache to its hide location was much more difficult. On a couple of occasions the loop got caught on the jagged edge of the branch and attempts to put the cache into the right position only resulted in the cache falling to the ground. Finally, with a few well chosen (but not repeatable) words of encouragement, the loop slipped right over the branch and the cache was back where we found it. Thanks OZGrumpy for another challenging cache and for the series.
I quickly worked out the final GZ. I needed 2 TOTTs to get the cache back into its hiding spot. TFTC OZGrumpy
Bugger! I’m only a skip from here and then I did the right thing and read the whole cache page only to see I need a pole. Oh well! Next time
Lured by the glamour of a high terrain FTF, we wolfed down our dinner and set out into the darkness with torch, stepladder and pole! Many thanks for the cache!
