In St Arnaud for a couple of days, out this morning for some caches on the travel to Eucy drive and others along the way. TFTC
I made my way out to St Arnaud from Melbourne earlier this afternoon to do a few hours of geocaching around this area. It was a mostly sunny day and, although it did get a bit hot at certain times, the temperatures were generally quite comfortable. I had a fairly pleasant experience overall while caching during my time out here, but the flies were certainly bothersome at some points! As I still have many, many more caches to find around St Arnaud, I will certainly be sure to return here at some stage in the future. My caching day began by parking my vehicle near the letterbox cache at the beginning of the Eucy drive series. I then got out and made my way on foot, walking along the dirt roads and picking the caches right up until number 16. After finding number 16, I then began returning to my car before the long drive back home. This was my final cache find of the day. After a few hours of walking along the dirt roads in this area, I had finally made it to this one. It was a quick and easy find, and all was in good condition with it. I signed the log then placed it back before beginning my return journey to my car. Many thanks to the CO for placing these caching trails out here. I only found a few of them today and I know I have many more to find, so I will definitely be returning in the future to try and finish some of them off!TFTC
Having just landed back from my trip to the Dunedin Mega, it was straight into the car and away camping for the Melbourne Cup long weekend. Heading to Teddington Reservoir just south of St Arnaud, I had lots of unfinished business, having had to bail on a previous trip planned for this area to celebrate a certain posums birthday. This was another series that had arisen since my last visit so I was determined to make a dint in it. It was a warm afternoon so I only tackled the first section. All caches were found in good order, some taking longer than others, but all found.A big thanks goes to TeamStArnaud for taking the time to add Eucy drive 16 to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Wow! The fun just never stops.Join us as we announce the winners in the 2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards in addition to celebrating Geocaching Victoria's 10th Anniversary.**When:** Saturday, 16 November 2024 from 5pm**Where:** Yarraville-Footscray Bowling Club, YarravilleLog your will attend at [**GCAWDFX: 2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards & Birthday**](https://coord.info/GCAWDFX).Also have you logged your will attend for Victoria's first ever Block Party? On our last full day in St Arnaud the roads have dried out a bit after the rain a couple of days ago so out into the bush we go to try to clean up some more of this trail. We found 30 and missed one, the rest will have to wait until the next time we're in the area. We really enjoy caching the bush so thank you for all the work that's gone into setting up and maintaining these caches
On the trail of chasing Eucy caches we started at #1 in a familiar bush land to work our way through the series until it was time to head home.We spread out too far for this one not realising it was right at our feet. Thanks TeamStArnaud for the placement.
Out for a drive on a cool spring morning chasing the "Eucy" caches and the "Bush Cruse" Adlab, most were quickly found while a few took several minutes to find. great to see the wildflowers are starting to bloom.TFTC
Another nice cache in good condition and a quick find. My phone coverage got pretty patchy here so i waited till i got to the end of the series to log this one, Im sorry for the generic log. I have had a terrific morning finding the whole Eucy Drive series with no DNFs. I walked some sections and drove others so the geopooch and i are both satisfied with our morning workout. Often i cache midweek and it is a little unusual for me to cache for a whole weekend so I decided to head off this weekend for two days of caching fun. As it turned out i was able to get away latish on Friday afternoon so it will be more like two and a half days, yippee! I have been itching to get back over to St Arnaud and to do more of the fantastic series laid out around town and in the surrounding areas. Friday saw me pick up a couple of newish caches near Kooyoora, (Melville Caves), then get started on some cache series to the north east of town. After setting up camp and logging my finds i was early to bed and had a terrific sleep. This morning i set off early to finish the Eucy Drive series and now i am enjoying lunch and logging my mornings work. Eucy drive 16 is find number 3,897 for me. A fun small sized traditional cache I enjoyed finding as one of my caching adventures in Northern Grampians Shire. I am logging this one on Saturday 7 Sept 2024 at 1:13 pm and the weather is Clear Sky 16C 45% 5 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy TeamStArnaud.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Another Quick find for us and Tamzy, while walking back to the car Tamzy let out a scream she had a very large spider on her arm, I flicked it away and we continued to the car to continue our hunting TFTC
We weren't aware that there were so many caches in the area that we hadn't yet visited. Mrs Papi was pleased for the invite to attempt to find as many as the ladies could whilst they were in the area. Thanks for placing this new series for all to enjoy.
Time to get away for the weekend, so a weekend trip to Bendigo (& St Arnaud) was organised with Geoturtle37.The main target for today was to find as many of the Eucy Drive as possible. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, TeamStArnaud ~~
Out for the day in the PeuGEOt with littlecogs to find some more of the myriad of Geocaches in and around the pretty town of St Arnaud.Success, all sixteen completed in the day.TFTC
Last full day in St Arnaud. Finishing off some of the trails. Enjoyed it here. There was another cacher staying at the camp.
Today we took a very leisurely drive with ilook4geo to find the rest of the Eucy drive series of caches. All were located and there were no problems with any logs or containers. Thanks go to TeamStArnaud for this whole series.
Finishing off this series with goingplaces2 with some more easy finds. Cache found, log signed, all replaced. Job done! TFTC.
Found with LittleBoss2 and Geo the puppy on a day trip to St Arnaud. Quick find for us today, thanks Team St Arnaud
Our last day in St Arnaud so we headed out to do a few more trails and collect any extras in between. This trail is basically on the 'back doorstep' of the place we are staying at so we had to see if we could collect it all. tftc#9580
We stayed overnight in St Arnaud and made an early morning drive for couple of caches in this series.Tftc TeamStArnaud
Now we are on the way to Canberra and pick up some more caches .Found the cache with TBU1BIKESU Tftc
St. Arnaud Day 2Today was the day we decided to complete the Eucy drive.Completed half in the morning, then returned after lunch to complete the seriesSome were easy to find & others took a littlw longer. Avoided the bees. This was a great way to visit the area. Thanks TeamStArnaud for hiding this cache.
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. This is the first time we have been back to St Arnaud since June 2015. Lots of new caches since we were last here. Today the plan was to tackle the Eucy series but with a late start we were pushing to get it all done. Success! Only 4 beestings and a handful of DNF Happy to complete it today before the 37degrees of tomorrow. Such a fun series, loved the drive!TFTC TeamStArnaud [^]
Spending a few days in St Arnaud after caches on my way to the Adelaide Mega on 29th today was the day I allocated to make a start on the Eucy Drive Trail. A pleasant muggle free drive and all caches attempted found except one which will be mentioned. Thank you TeamStArnaud for placing and maintaining these caches which have led to such an enjoyable day.
TFTC TeamStArnaud your cache Eucy drive 16 that we found today as we made our way south for Christmas. Running a little early to arrive in Point Cook, we decided to stop over for a few nights in St Arnaud. Lots of new caches here since our last visit. Thanks to team St Arnaud for adding to our entertainment.Find Count: 17331 .
When we returned home from our 2022 yearly trip away we saw that that the number of caches available to be found in the St Arnaud area had grown substantially. We had planned to come to town many times through the year but there was always something that had us changing our minds. This trip was another of those change of plans trip, if it had gone according to our original plan we would have been in Bendigo. We had the area to ourselves except for one lone South Australian geocacher, it was interesting to see Connor bound out of the bushes 50 odd meters in front of us. The weather was spot on for us, not to hot and not to cold, all the caches are in good condition with co-ords that have done the CO proud. The variety and styles of cache hide was many and kept us guessing where the next one would be. SL TFTC
This series was in of my main targets for this trip to Victoria, a lovely morning in St arnaud with the smell of fresh eucy in the air, I managed to find all the caches 2&7 are quite damp and the rest are fine. Great works on all the effort that has gone into this. I also managed to run into Muff1 who were out on course today as well This week I decided to head to Victoria for a few days to target finishing off the Ballarat Geotour and also find the new series in St Arnaud, anything else was a bonus. I ended up finding a little over 300 caches plus a tonne of ad labs along the way. Thanks for the series
After knocking off a heap of challenge caches headed over to the Eucy Drive series of caches. TFTC.
**04/11/2023, 15:56:00****Find #5506****Traditional Find #3254**I headed out this morning to head to St Arnaud for two and a half days of caching with SteMicMitSar. We had no trouble finding any members of this series although two containers had been dislodged from their holders. One was a good six metres away and another about a metre. Containers and logs were in good shape.**Thank-you to TeamStArnaud for placing this geocache**
*Found on the 4 Nov 2023 @ 3:56pm.**Cache find # 15241.*Out and about with biggles1024 for the weekend in St Arnaud touring along the Eucy drive. This cache was found without any trouble, we then moved onto the next one.**Thanks to TeamStArnaud for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**
TFTC! 30 September 2023 12:33:44 pm 6058 A weekend of caching in St Arnaud. A trip back to the camp site, and decided to tackle Eucy drive today, with all found today. Not another car insight or seen all day, no any other people. Enjoyed the cache hides, managed to complete the whole track. This will be a generic log with added notes at the end where appropriate. Out with sorceysal to complete this series in St Arnaud. This was our main aim here. We spent two fukll days having fun driving through the all terrain ucalyptus forests.Really pleased that my car managed all those rocky wash-aways without mishap and that the mosquitoes were not busy or interested in us.We managed to find all of these hides. Some did take a little search but once we knew what to look for it was quickerAll good and thank you for your effort out here TeamStArnaud
On our way to St Arnaud for a couple of days with 6hinemoa2. This was our main reason for coming to St Arnaud and to get a few other smileys as well. Sorry for the generic log but there is way too many for my to do individual. Thanks TeamStArnaud for all your efforts in placing and maintaining these caches for us to turn into smileys.
I enjoyed this series, finding all but one of them.
Thanks to TeamStArnaud for the cache.
Thanks to TeamStArnaud for the cache.
Suscoe and Phetlern had arrived St Arnaud early today for a couple of days of caching.
The weather was fine and we enjoyed wandering the area caching and in particular the Eucy Drive.
We were amazed at the rock fill repairs on the washed out sections of the track.
Lots of interesting hides.
Lots of Eucy plants as we travelled about.
Thanks to TeamStArnaud for placing this trail for us to enjoy.
All good at this cache today.

Eucy drive! Is it a term in golf or cricket? No a little research told us that most of the 800 described species of eucalypt plants ranging from shrubs to tall trees are native only to Australia. Today, together with Suscoe we had the most amazing drive among the eucalypts. Unless stated otherwise, we found ALL the caches, hidden securely in neatly made containers & in good condition.
Thanks to TeamStArnaud for creating this fabulous series.

I had been meaning to come back to St Arnaud to ride the Bush Cruse AdLab, and when Suscoe listed an event here is seemed a good opportunity. Having a few extra caches along the way made a day of it.
I had ridden parts of the Eucy drive before, just not all these trails.
An excellent collection of caches, good containers and hides.
A few I walked in circles for, I would like to think ever decreasing circles, but more like random.
Found them all in the end.
A great bike ride on a mild day.
Thanks for the series, Robmc.

Out for a walk and drive along Eucy Drive for some caching enjoyment. A nice simple find for each and every one of these rather well maintained caches along the route.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.

We arrived in St Arnaud early this afternoon (as we headed from Adelaide towards home). After checking into our motel, we went to make a start on the Eucy series. In the time we had available, we visited 21 locations finding 20 caches and we will log a DNF on one. Unless stated otherwise, the caches we found were located quite quickly due to accurate coordinates. All the caches we found were in good condition.
Thanks TeamStArnaud for the series in an interesting area. We hope to return tomorrow to find more caches in the Eucy series.

Spending several days in the area doing some caching each day and enjoying the bush surrounds The wattle is spectacular at the moment and lots of small flowers for me to observe. TFTC TeamStArnaud
There is a lot to like about this series of 81 caches.
I know the roads around St Arnaud better than the streets of Ballarat.
A cool morning with a few showers which dampened the road but not my spirits.
Lots of interesting ways to display these caches and in most cases there will never be any cache creep.
I hear sounds of eucy production in the distance but I see no vehicles.
All caches sought are found.
Many thanks Team St Arnaud

**Found whilst in St Arnaud for the day** Out and about with The Crew (The Empire, Rebel Acts and Omegaman). The thing I love about caching is the interesting stories, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the history, the interests of the individual COs, *the fantastic photo opportunities* and sometimes finding places that even some locals dont know about. I, like most cachers, look for more that a mint tin or a container under a bush. I appreciate the time that most COs take to construct a cache and write up a comprehensive listing and to create an interesting cache. **I love traveling this big land of ours.** I love taking the roads less traveled. I love the diversity of the land, the different scenes in the different seasons, the fresh air, the open plains, the lofty vistas and the magnificent waters. I even enjoy the longer scenic walks although I'm not as young and as fit as I used to be. I love the different coffee shops I find. I enjoy the times I cache with others but I usually cache on my own. Thank you TeamStArnaud for highlighting this area and for adding this cache to my real-life treasure hunt. Appreciate your efforts. Look forward to coming back to the area for the Easter Mega @ Rutherglen in a few weeks.- P*Took*: Nothing*Left*: Nothing**Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Cache on! **#18542**

Teaming up with members of our group on Saturday morning, in St Arnaud - a familiar locale, we were in search of the Eucy Series today... and my 18,000th find... As each cache was discovered and logged, my heart beat with anticipation, eagerly inching closer to the monumental number that lay ahead. The hides in this series were cleverly placed, demanding both keen observation and a touch of ingenuity to uncover their hidden treasures.
Amidst the dust kicked up by our vehicles, we maneuvered through winding trails, traversing the tamed terrain. The scent of eucalyptus permeated the air, while the symphony of wildlife embraced us as if to guide our way. Each cache discovered on this remarkable series added to the tapestry of memories we were weaving together.
And then, amidst the awe-inspiring landscape, it happened—a true geocaching milestone! I unearthed my 18,000th find. A mixture of elation and gratitude flooded my soul, and I couldn't help but share the joy with my geocaching comrades. Their cheers and applause echoed through the bush, marking this special moment in our shared geocaching journey.
The Eucy series had gifted us with a sense of wonder, a reminder of the boundless beauty that awaits us in the Australian bush. The spirit of exploration shall guide us to countless more caches, weaving stories that will continue to ignite our passion for adventure. Thanks for the cache, and the series TeamStArnaud.

Today, the crew embarked on an exciting geocaching adventure in the beautiful town of St. Arnaud. Despite the slightly chilling weather, our spirits were high, and we were eager to explore and find hidden caches.
The journey began with a quick team meeting at a local café, where we gathered our GPS devices, notepads, and a healthy dose of enthusiasm. Armed with our geocaching skills and a hint of competitive spirit, we set off to uncover the caches scattered throughout the town.
As we continued our quest, we encountered a variety of caches hidden in creative and unexpected locations. Some were tucked away in trees, while others required a bit of a scramble to reach. The diverse terrain of St. Arnaud added an extra layer of adventure to the search.
Throughout the day, laughter echoed through the streets as we navigated the twists and turns of the town, supporting and teasing each other along the way. We shared stories, jokes, and even some friendly banter about who had the sharpest eyes or the quickest reflexes when it came to finding caches. It was truly a joyous experience, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
As the day drew to a close, we gathered at the town's pub for a Parma and sticky date pudding, washed down with a few drinks.
Reflecting on our time in St. Arnaud, we realized that geocaching was more than just finding hidden caches. It was about coming together as a crew, sharing laughter, and creating lasting bonds. We were grateful for the opportunity to explore this charming town and immerse ourselves in the thrill of the hunt.
With tired but content smiles, we marked our names in the logbook, packed up our gear, and bid farewell to St. Arnaud, promising to return for more geocaching adventures in the future. As we drove away, memories of the day's laughter and camaraderie warmed our hearts, reminding us that the real treasure lies not in the physical caches but in the experiences we shared.

What better way than to head out n make a start on the Eucy Drive.
I've driven, rode ( push bike and motorbike) I have even started walking the tracks and roads out here.
Sadly tonight, I'm a bit under the weather, so a quick drive and a quick find on this one.

Find No. 4292. Found at 4.38pm.
Tonight we chose the Eucy again as it is close and handy to home. So after work off we drove in the ute with Geodog Penny on board to find a cache for the day.
After we found the cache Penny had a good walk around the bush area before we headed back home.

We noticed the first of these new Eucy Drive caches had been published two days ago, but were unable to even think about them until today. Sadly Chunk had to work, so Chook put the call out to Wozzle68 to see if he would like to join her for a road trip to St Arnaud. With stunning autumn weather, FTFs still up for grabs and the second ten caches released last night, it made for a great day full of finds, fun and laughter as we travelled through the lovely eucy bushland of this town. Thank you TeamStArnaud for placing these caches for our enjoyment.
