These jigsaws were done before we headed from home with goingplaces2. Had some fun today finding the caches. All was good with the logs. TFTC.
Out to do some more exploring around the Longreach area with ilook4geo using the geocaching method.Found a variety of containers and some different hides. All had logs that were signed and replaced as they were found. Animals spotted today included cattle, kangaroos, emus and 4 pigs with 1 piglet. Thanks for this series go to hatzofff.
Found this cache with Crank1, Deafcat, DeafPhantom, DeafVW, and Everlasting (Deaf PVCCEP) during QOGM 2023. Thanks for placing this cache and providing us with a great time!
Ocw the Bebes as we visit Longreach. We missed the QOGM but glad so many caches are around to collect. Enjoyed our time on this trail. Tftc
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa In Longreach for a few days and whilst we didnt make the QOGM I had thought that we might and had put the work in to solve the puzzles ready. Such a great selection.Well tackle as many as we can today and save the rest for our next visit. A fun day on the tracks. Loving this outback fishing. After signing the log we got out the picnic lunch.TFTC
TFTC smile 17089 out and about on a lovely day Signed as part of the QOGM placement team Thank you hatzofff for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Found during QOGM 2023 in our current hometown of Longreach.Out caching either as 3 of us with La Kedi or sometimes Mr Project and Ms Kedi.On occasion we were able to join with others so that we could grab the tree climbs and the tree fishes. Thanks for the event, we had a great time.
Quick deployment of the appropriate tool, feel like I am making more progress with the wider spaced caches, thanks again.
During QOGM 2023 Longreach, TBU went on a round trip with Spikey Mikey and Trekking Trev to do the Jigidi-series from No . 1 to 48. Mainly we signed the logs with STUBS. It was a nice variety of hides and we bumped into couple of cachers.Tftc hatzofff
Townsvilles contingent, burgo78 and myself went to locate as many caches as possible while out in Longreach for QOGM 2023. Paper logs have been signed either individually or as TSV#1s or similar Day 3 which involves a Flash mob and a Thompson River CiTO and then a free for all day in which we are going to chase after the Jigidis that we had solved and started on while rescuing Chamad and the misfits with a battery issue I didnt mind actually doing these jigidis. I know some jump on the facebook solver page, but these were easy enough to be therapeutic rating than annoying. The puzzles at the end was something to look forward to on some and could be challenging. Thanks hatzofff for placing this Mystery for our geocaching enjoyment
QOGM 2023 Longreach Day 22. Longreach Day 5. Long Jigriddle puzzle day and Sunset train ride. Fitzy_1965 and Albida33 are on our trip in early spring to Longreach. With the whole team in town, we settled into two cars to make the trip around to Camoola and back doing the first 48 Jigriddle puzzles that were solved with time and patience before the journey. We stayed in town for the Kazoo event and CITO before heading off. The team today was Cosmonaut97, Firebatman, Silverfox, Contesta, Gliss!, NibletRiceCakes, Fitzy_1965 and albida33, signing as CC3 for Canberra Cachers plus 3. We also managed the climb to Starlight's Jumpup for the Earth cache. The afternoon train ride was a highlight of the whole trip to Longreach and I am so glad it was put on for us. I hope I get a chance to do another train trip on a future Longreach visit. Thanks for the cache hatzofff44410.25 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 5000 Finds Achievement A#201**Albida**

Attending the final QOGM with BenM70 this week and looking to turn solved puzzles and anything else we pass by into smilies. After this mornings events were picking up the jigidi riddles. Nice variation on the dreaded jigsaws. I enjoyed solving these. Most logs signed TSV 1 or B78 and BM70Thanks hatzofff for organising this and bringing a large group to the region. Well done to all over the past 5 years.
Find # 9013In Longreach for QOGM2023! Finally made it So much planning and work goes into organising this fabulous event and it is definitely worthwhile coming to the central west for the incredible caching adventure. In the trails with some of the usual suspects and it never ceases to amaze me the generosity of the caching community. A huge thanks for all the fun and shenanigans along the way. Great adventures were had in spite of the challenges, not all geocaching ones either, and we all enjoyed a good tale or two. This was a quick and easy find and here at For the Love of Trees 2 - QOGM 2023 Jigsaws 021 GZ today. Signed as CC2: GLISS!, Cosmonaut97, SilverFox1970, FireBatman88, albida33, Fitzy_1965, and Nibletricecakes. Out and about with Fitzy_1965, Nibletricecakes, Contesta, Albida33 and Cosmonaut97, SilverFox70 and Firebatman. Signed as CC+4. Great to be out finding QOGM23 caches.
Today we decided to finish off the puzzle loop that we started a few days ago. All the co ords were excellent and we loved the variety of caches. Thanks Hatzoff for the puzzles and the QOGM 2023 Placement Team for all the work youve done so that we could have such an awesome experience on this our last QOGM.
We are heading up to Longreach for the last QOGM with The Drovers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506 naturally stopping to grab any caches that come on the map aiming to get as many LGA's as we can.Not being able to attend the Muster yesterday we entertained ourselves by doing a few more local caches and then today we chose this series as it was taking us up to Muttaburra as we all wanted to revisit there. As Diane enjoys jigsaw puzzles we had all the co-ords required before we left home so all we had to do was go and locate the caches. We enjoyed the different hiding methods and the different sized containers and we were very happy when we got to the end with no dnf'sMany thanks once more for all the time, effort and money that goes into placing these series .
In Longreach for the last QOGM with Team Crackers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506.Out and about picking up a few caches, signed the log as PDGC.(Papi Drovers Geoturtle Crackers) or The Drovers. Thanks to all the Co's for making this trip, more enjoyable. Signed and replaced as found.
We woke to another great day and lots of caches to find.Team Crackers, The Drovers, Geoturtle37 and myself have a bit of a plan for the day but they usually don't last too long, lolThis is one of many that we managed to find today. We have added our acronym to save space. We are logging generically due to having completed so many caches and not taking great notes. This is so much to look at and take photos of.Please note that this is not a reflection of our gratitude to all the CO's that have made this possible as well as the QOGM team that have brought us all together. We are aware of the time, effort and financial input needed to make this all happen and appreciate it, not forgetting the maintenance to keep this all in good order.Thank you.
Many hands make light work, such is the case here with other teams helping us to locate the caches.
We left Victoria on the 6th September and are making our way to Queensland to attend the final QOGM Event along with brisal5. We are stopping at caches that we have missed on our travels through this area other trips. We are currently in Barcaldine collecting caches that have been published since we were last here. The caches, as usual, have been a joy to do and have added to the experience when planning the trip of outback Queensland. The puzzles have helped us to learn a lot more about the area we are visiting. All caches that we have found have had good co-ords and are in good condition. Today there certainly was a lot more cachers out on the road.SL TFTC

Something special or unusual goes here:Found it. The Generic Bit:QOGM adventure - I was able to catch a ride with Muff1 who were heading to the QOGM event and team up for 3 weeks of caching adventures. 3 weeks in a swag - will my back hold out[?]Day 14 :We had thought about doing this puzzle loop yesterday but had heard it might take longer than we had. So we left it for today so we could give it the time it deserved. A lot of time had gone into solving the puzzles that had some unusual little twists to them. [^] And this was the day that I managed to pick up a tick much to the delight of the Muffs who were so happy that I got the FULL Queensland experience. [B)] I really could have done without it! **SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks hatzofff for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
Attending QOGM2023 with Imbunda, today we decided to tackle the loop of Puzzle caches to Starllight EC and return to Longreach. These were solved prior to our arrival.Along the way we met up with the MeanDe, HansandLinda, maccamob and dickbev and formed a convoy of 4 vehicles. Was a fun run even if we were tail-end-charlie and ate a lot of dust. All caches were found in good condition. Everyone got out of their car to sign the logs. Many thanks for placing these caches.TFTC hatzofff
Found on a trip with e.gregory1 traveling through western New South Wales and central Queensland to attend the QOGM at Longreach. Well my trip up to QOGM has officially started and Im taking the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there. So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so after heading west and making it to Longreach time for a break from the travelling. So after a big day out to Stonehenge, Isisford and Ilfracombe the other day and a more lad back day yesterday, The Tritonz, and Roaming Howie have arrived so it was time to hit the puzzle trail and enjoy quite a few laughs along the way.The Cramsie Muttaburra Rd and now the Starlight Lookout Rd puzzle trail is done and dusted so that only leaves the Longreach Muttaburra Rd run home set of puzzles to do.Thanks hatzofff TFTC.

Today is going to be a long day with a lot of driving and with plenty to see. Our team the Misfits consisting of Gcoven, Nathan and alyce, jacs team and myself had some plans and some fun lined up together. It saw us driving into town to a meet up grabbing a list of new caches. We then headed off doing the letterboxes and the question mark, plus grabbing a few loose ones as we passed. We made it back to the showgrounds in time for the Talk like a pirate day event. After the event, we set off and did a lot of the jigsaw trail and listed puzzle caches. It was a good day and I enjoyed the caching and the places it took me. I really enjoyed the earth cache. The variety of caches was fun, the lack of hints or mistaken helps just added to the fun for the day for me, thanks. We signed the logs as Misfits and replaced all as found, thanks for the fun today. sorry for the generic log but there are tooo many to remember each one.
This was an extremely long day with plans to do all the QOGM geoart and letterbox caches along with random ones we hadn't previously found.I joined forces with Bluewattle and Davidwazza, and we worked efficiently and effectively as a team in finding all the caches on our to-do list. Recorded no DNF's, and only one PAF was required, and we started off with writing our full names in logs but quickly changed to initals to speed up the process and save room in log sheets. Also, apologies for these generic logs.Thank you to all the cache owners for placing such a large volume of traditional, puzzle, and letterbox caches for our benefit and enjoyment ??
Another day means another day on the road collecting caches. We teamed up with JACS Team, Gcoven and Chamad and called ourselves The Misfits. We had a fantastic day on the road. Good times, great experiences and the occasional Chamad joke thrown in to keep us amused. Our goal for the day was the new letterbox trail, the question mark, the loop and any other cache we encountered along the way. Thanks for bringing us here and for showcasing this wonderful part of the world.#3916 - TFTC

JACS and I had hatched a plan a while back to book leave for a road trip out west and to attend the last QOGM. Today was the the start of our Longreach adventures. third big day Quilpie to Longreach. Fun pirate event and collection of the puzzles !
We are off on a trip to the Birdsville Races and then across to Queensland - the plan is for about 6 weeks of travel - all going well.Week 1 we have travelled from Portland to Farrell's Flat near Clare.Week 2 was Clare to Port Augusta.Week 3 Port Augusta to Birdsville.Week 4 Birdsville to AramacDay 37 and we are in Longreach for QOGM. Today is the first day and we headed out to start some of the trails. All caches along the trail were found - some too quite a bit of looking though,Thanks for contributing to our holiday hatzofff
Popped into town to register and then we headed off to do the Letterbox trail and question mark. Chatted with various cachers we met on the way. Arrived back in time for the pirate event, we then proceeded to head to the bakery and shops for a few supplies before making a run on the jigsaw trail. These were a priority for me having spent hours on jigsaws. Which saw us complete 75% of them until we had a prior appointment that we needed good reception for. We had booked into Trivia at the Wellshot and our team came a very respectable 4th - despite doing us dirty over a LOTR question. Almost ready to turn in for the night we notice a new Lab some 240m from our front door- so off we went again. Caching with Gcoven, Chamad, Nathan & Alyce as The Misfits!
Woohoo, we are in Longreach. Today we are attempting the many puzzles we solved before coming. Rutherglen Mega was the first time we started trying to solve puzzle caches so this time we are prepared for the many caches the organisers have worked so hard at. Thanks for the handy hints after doing the puzzles!
It’s a beautiful day to be driving in the country on wide roads.

We have been looking forward to completing this series as we love doing jigsaws and finding caches. All were found within a few moments, some took a little longer to retrieve and required a bit of ingenuity on our part as we don't own any fancy totts but we made it happen. Duct tape, a shovel and a forked tree branch was quite effective. The work that has gone into this series is immense and we really appreciate the effort which has allowed us to.have hours of fun. Tftc
