We are in Horsham for a long weekend away. Having never cached in this area, it is going to help us with a number of challenges. The hardest being GCA0HZW, where you need 20 geocaches in each Victorian LGA. We should get that in Horsham, probably not in the West Wimmera, Hindmarsh, and Yarriambiack LGAs that we will all be also visiting. After getting my 7000th geocache during this morning adventure, we had lunch. Then, it was time to head north into the Hindmarsh LGA. The primary targets are the Pink Lake, Dimboola, and the challenges on the edge of the Little Desert. After a nice lunch at Cafe Oma's Cafe, we went for a stroll around town collecting a few geocaches. On the way back to the car, the owners of the National Bank of Australasia invited us in and showed us around. Including the gift shop, the bank vault, and all the work they have done in the AirBnb rooms. Definitely might be staying here next visit. We had the GPS coordinates out by about 8 meters, but we found it quickly with the hint. Thanks for the cache, Tassie Expat.Hunter

Cache was found after a long search. Thanks for the fun. Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumulated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Sol's day the twentieth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. B is for Battle! Im out on a solo geocaching day today and this was about the 5th find for the day. And what a battle it was. There was someone doing yoga in the park nearby, so I had to employ a fair bit of stealth. Finally managed to find it in the end. Thanks for another one of your challenging caches tassieexpat.

Came back to avenge this dnf and found it within 30 seconds of looking. How I missed it the first time is beyond me, maybe it was my big head that stopped me from seeing it. Cache in great condition.

Had a real good look for this one, but no joy. Even looked back over previous logs and read the clue. Spent about as much time looking for this as it would of taken me to cook lunch on the free BBQ.

Only took a wee while looking for a wee cache! On a multi mission with weirdobiker after the Lameroo Ludicrous Leg Warmers events in SA and now heading back east via a through different LGA's. I'm thoroughly enarmoured with Dimboola, its public art and tributes to its history. Its been great exploring the country out west with plenty of highlights to remember. TFTC and the lure.

22-Apr-24
Found at 2:39 PM GAFF3.This cache took us a while to locate principally because there were two muggles in their vehicles outside doing some repairs to them. So we had to furtively look and of course we couldn't decide on the right compass direction and looked in the wrong spot for a while. Thanks to tassieexpat

13-Apr-24
Awesome awesome awesome hide! We were so happy finding this one after spending ~20min searching, that when we took a selfie for proof (and proof of life to the mother!), it might have been a bottle more of a clue, so apologies for the spoiler. TFTC

I was heading up to Dimboola for a CITO today and did not realise it had been cancelled Friday evening until I was checking what time it was planning on starting. It was cancelled due to the heat and the total fire ban as well.It was going to be hot picking up rubbish so it was for the best.I was in Stawell at the time and as I was in no hurry to get there now I decided to do a couple around there first before heading to Dimboola to do the newish trads up there and any others on this side of the road.Arrived at Dimboola and then opened the Geocruisers door and the heat hit me.They even had a market on in the Main Street as well.I met the CO last weekend and mentioned that I will be back but I didnt think that it would be this soon. Now lets see how many I can find. Now this one took three attempts to get even near GZ.First attempt people having lunch.Second attempt just as I was nearing GZ jpkids turned up,and sat down.Third attempt the coast was clear and I happened to be sitting close my to this one. Thanks tassieexpat TFTC.

We waited for a gentleman to finish filling up his water bottles and leaving before starting the search. The male Triton had an idea where to look first up and his hunch proved correct. We found the nicely constructed cache and signed the logbook. Thanks tassieexpat for the placement.

Find # 13079Off on a full days solo Caching adventure around the Western Vic area.I've had a half baked plan around the area and it was time to go for it. Horsham, Dimboola, Jeparit, Rainbow and then follow a Silos Art Ad Lab heading home.A great (top of) 20deg day, to be out n about. With a bit of wind to kick the dust n sand up. Dimboola, in my plan, was going to be a 1 or 2 grab, then head off.... well, one thing is, my plans don't always go the way intended when flying solo. Yep, I managed to go for all here and had fun doing so.Area to myself, so it was the perfect lunch stop. coffee, cake cache n pie. TFTC tassieexpat

*FTF* - jointly with TheKellyGang
We searched in a couple of likely places with no luck, fortunately Mrs Kelly had a brilliant idea and it panned out and the cache revealed itself to us. Another great container. The heavens opened so we chose to stay and chat until the rain stopped.
