Maryborough Day 5We are now camped at the RV Homebase, catching up with our geocaching friends.Today we headed south towards Tiaro finding many different type of caches Quite a variety of hides & DTs found. We were surprised at the number of fishing pole caches we did, not easy in the wind today. Thanks firesafe for hiding this cache.
Konie and I headed to Maryborough to find a few caches. We were unable to locate this one today, despite an extensive search. A CO check may be in order.
After a little search then went fishing. Soon log signed and placed where found. TFTC
We are staying in the show grounds for a few days geoing. It's nice and sunny today, so we went fishing . Found the fun cache. Signed and replaced cache as found. A.F.P. from us. Tftc
I had an audience while retrieving this one!Luckily, they all had 4 legs!TFTC!
Visiting beautiful Queensland with karen rinora, and of course we have a great list of caches to find. We headed to the Maryborough area today to work on the Big Aussie Day Bash series. I really enjoyed the puzzles, and finding the caches. We had a few did not attempt along the way, but we scored a nice haul, and headed home with smiles on our faces. Thanks for adding to our adventures!
We headed up the little dirt road to GZ where the great container was soon spotted. Retrieval and replacement went to plan and the log was signed. All good here. Thanks for the cache firesafe. Fav from us.
Another one found on my visit to Maryborough for a 12 noon lunch time event. Left home at 0415 and in Maryborough by 0545. Completed all I had on my hunt list by about 0915. This one was a quick find and retrieval. An easy pole fishing cache compared to some I have completed.TFTC Firesafe
Hi there firesafe, we found your cache L & B Visitors #44 - Firesafe today in the company of MsSammi. Finally, we found a tree Fisher today.Weve finally borrowed a fishing pole and it has opened up a whole lot of caches in our local area that we havent been able to get before. Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking. Cache Condition: Good. Regards Ian & Penny (Found and logged using Cachly).
Out with Ian and Penny today to do some caching around Maryborough. Pennys sister Liz (who might one day start a geocaching account) also joined us. I supervised while Ian did all the hard work . TFTC
A nice easy find on our way into Maryborough, it was easier for us to use a ladder. Signed and returned as found - loved the container. TFTC firesafe
*STF* Second to Find joint with [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) at 09:08 hr.We had planned with taking the southern approach as the track/road was indicated on our map, but that clearly didn't match the current environment. Subsequently, we approached from the north, and it wasn't long before the cache was found. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [firesafe](https://coord.info/PR99A6) for the cache placement, and [Liz and Bruce](https://coord.info/PR68BB) for its ongoing maintenance.----------During this trip, I travelled with [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) (who was visiting from Adelaide, SA) and we visited Maryborough for an extended weekend.Friday was the drive north, which involved the full day with stops in Nambour, Eumundi, Pomona, Gympie, Tiaro, and Maryborough, and highlights included the *Evil* series and the *Big Aussie Day Bash* series. The weekend's two days prioritised the *Jolly Brolly Folly* (JBF) series and *Geocaching 101* series, with a Sunday afternoon trip to Utopia Falls. Finally, Monday's itinerary included a few last geocaches that were in town, and we then returned home via Beaver Rock, Maaroom, and Tin Can Bay.A fun and rewarding trip with great company and friends, and we were rewarded with good weather throughout our trip.Today, it was our final day for our Maryborough trip, and [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) and I had final ambitions for a few remaining *Big Aussie Day Bash* series geocaches that we had yet to visit, and then circling back through town for one last time. We enjoyed seeing Queen's Park and had a late morning tea, and it was on to the Beaver Rock series. A few interestingly themed geocaches using our TOTTs, and then we returned home via the eastern ocean route before going through Gympie. There were a few interesting seaside towns visited, such as Maaroom, Boonooroo, Tin Can Bay, and Cooloola Cove.
Back in town and looking for caches. Friends everywhere. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them.Freddo traveled north from deep south to catch up with friendly Liz and Bruce and the RV Home base crew. David Wazza provided a sturdy vehicle and we traveled in style. We had good weather. Not to hot. Not to rainy. Lovely one day and perfect the next. The caches were found in a blur of Which Is Next and Where Are We Going Now. Some caches were harder to find than others. Some caches we could see from the car. Regardless all caches were found in the last place we looked.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos ktkst. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.
