It was extremely busy around the area with all the additional muggles in town this week. I followed the GPS and realised that I could not access the immediate area required to obtain the information I needed. Being a resourceful type of guy, I looked for access to the "zone" and summoned some help from a member of the team. I suggested I was on a raleigh and needed some information from the plaque that is "over there" and asked if it would be possible a photo to be taken for me... Sure came the answer and within a minute I was armed with everything I needed...
Email sent with the answer to the question.
Cheers iwcotton.

It may need maintenance as at the moment there is a heck of a lot of construction work right out the front. Roads half closed, areas fenced off and construction materials stacked right on where my GPSr was telling me GZ was.
So I would love to log this cache but spent a good thirty minutes trying to find the plaque not even the staff in the nearby establishment could help me

Found this one while battling the crowds along the wharves. Find the site easily enough and was able to extract the information with ease. Gotta love virtuals in high muggle areas.

We were very happy to wander along in the sunshine and discover this plaque and the answer to the required question which we have sent to the owner. Thanks for organizing this virtual that added to our enjoyment of this area today. Greetings from Australia.
I spent a bit of time looking in the wrong direction, but soon figured it out. Logged with permission.
Thanks iwcotton - Interesting place and greetings from Australia.

Off and running!!!!
Today marks both the 311th day of 2009 and the 311th consecutive day of successful caching. (and a new personal record of consecutive days finding a cache). Only 54
more days to go to complete my new year's resolution to cache every day of the year.
We are in town as part of the Centenniary Celebration of the Boy Scouts of America. We are travelling as the Century of Values Team #13 - one of 14 teams taking part in a 40,000 mile, year long journey visiting every single Boy Scout Council in the United States! This was our first day in town and it left precious little time for caching. We (Quail Finder and I) snagged this virtual after dinner at Neptune's on Pier 39.

We found this cache at 3:35pm. After having the mandatory clam chowder and a crab sandwhich from one of the local stalls, we were walking away before we realised that we had not gotten the info for the two virtual caches nearby. Great local area. Thanks for the cache from D,H,H & A B-A.
While wandering around the wharf area and having clam chowder for breakfast, grabbed this one on the way through. TFTC.
Found it today while at the pier. I noticed the are a few of these around town.

A quick find this morning, not far from the hotel. A bit foggy so couldn't see much from here. Answer emailed. Cheers Gav from New Zealand [1307]

Found by Mary & David from Melbourne, Australia, at 1515. Our second cache in California while on a coach tour. Just enough time to grab the details and get back to our coach. We'd seen a couple more like this earlier in the afternoon, but hadn't studied them. Enjoyed our time exploring the area. Our thanks to IWCOTTON.
Found after enjoying our first meal in the US of our wedding trip. I chose this area for our first meal as my husband to be would recognise things from movies and such and really feel like he was in San Francisco! Thanks you so much for the cache!! I saw several more of these plaques around the area and they were quite interesting.
