An afternoon of clearing up caches in our local area...Found with sir_spectre.Thanks
First find of the day/afternoon. Quick find. Quick park and grab. Found with Mogni. Today it was a afternoon of caching with the virtual at Cape Jervis being the target. More km's walked than expected, those fire tracks aren't straight or flat. Not many caches found today but those caches you never detour to or stop for were the ones we aiming for on route to Cape Jervis.
Found today after hiking past it a few weeks ago, forgeting to open the phone, then refusing to walk down (and so up) the hill. A lovely spot, thanks so much for the cache today.
Made great use of the public holiday. A lovely getaway with gridge98 for a few days, camping in Deep Creek. TFTC!
A detour off the main road out to this oldie, a nice stop here, cache was found and is all good
Today Courtneyrose_ and I headed to Victor harbour for the CITO and to complete some of the heysen trail with Michells&Hound. A lovely day with many steps taken.
Thanks for cache

TFTC Barry and Beryl. We’ve completed over half the Heysen Trail now, but found this on a catch-up walk
Mr Tardis was out on a southern Fleurieu explorer adventure motorbike ride. I stopped here to find this one, and found it in the first place I looked - don't you just love it when that happens?
Some lovely views out this way, and some great riding on these back roads. A beautiful hideaway indeed.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Barry & Hurtle.

Had walked from the top of Balquihidder half way down to the beach and back up with the girls who were continuing on to Parsons Beach. Decided to take the road back past here as the fog had set in, and the road from Waitpinga was quite narrow.
Parked at the top of the hill and enjoyed the short walk to GZ. Lovely little brook, and a lovely little setting for a cache.

This weekend 2 muggle friends and I walked the first 4 sections of the Heysen trail (60km with 2,200 elevation!). Along the way, where there was phone coverage we stopped a handful of times to pick up some caches dotted along the trail some of which have been here for 20 years!
Finally some phone reception again and this old cache came up on the radar. A short search and a quick find. 43km completed, 16 to go!
And, surprisingly, a new cache for the Jasmer Grid.

Four and a half years after our previous DNF and we're finally back to log a find. Great area to visit as always. Geocache in good condition.
Thanks to both Barry and Beryl, and Hurtle.
Thanks to both Barry and Beryl, and Hurtle.
Out for a drive with my son too get his hours up. Some sealed and some unsealed both wet and dry was good experience for him. This was one of our stops along the way. A nice spot to stop with water in the creek today. TFTC Barry and Beryl
The last cache of the day with CPwanderer & we didn't think we would ever get there.
What with Nuvi's confusing instructions & the fog rolling in.
We were glad to find the cache & then call it a day.
Thanks for the adventure Barry and Beryl

Quite a drive to this with clare007!! Pretty awful conditions meant the drive here on the road that went UP ……. and …… Down ……. and …...Side ….to ….. Side was less than fun! It rained …. the fog rolled in …. but we got there and made a quick find!! Cache in excellent condition!!!
A nice easy park and grab in a pretty part of the world.
Cache and contents all in excellent condition.
Thanks for the cache Barry and Beryl.

This one was so close to where we were parking the car at the end point of our three day hike. I pondered whether to get tinnier it when we returned on Tuesday. No idea if I’m going to make it out alive so the cache was found and logged. Now onto Cape Jervis whee the fun will begin. I hope the car is still there when we get back. TFTC
Out for a drive and a bit of caching. Took some back roads today and what a great spot to be, nice views over the ocean. Saw 1 emu and found a cache. Thanks for bringing me here today.

The drive to this cache was spectacular, and were certainly glad we visited this location.
Unfortunately we could not locate a cache here. We spent some time searching the area thoroughly, lifting the yakka "skirts" with sticks and prodding the leaf litter to no avail. Even after expanding our seach area, we sadly moved on without a find.

So sad to call this one a dnf in the end . We were doing a 3 day hike from Tapanappa to Rosetta head along the Heysen trail and this was close to the end of day 1. We were pretty stuffed by now and looking forward to setting up camp and resting our weary legs. We poked and prodded and poked and prodded but despite an extensive search, we just couldn't locate this one . Would have been nice to get the extra smiley but 'twas not to be.
Last cache for the morning. Long winding road to this one. Took a while again Lots of Blackboys with spikes so had to be careful. GPS playing up a bit but found it carefully hidden. Unfortunately the lid on the cache was brittle and cracked leaving a hole in the lid. We put it into another zip bag and then in the original bag to keep dry until owner can fix the problem. TFTC
Found while hiking the Heyson. Beautiful little spot. Spent more time than necessary getting spiked by black boys before widening the search area and finding it.
The cache itself was in very good condition (especially as it will be celebrating its 10th birthday next month) but the zip lock plastic bag around the cache had was badly perished so I replaced it with a new one. Thanks Barryd.

An interesting drive from tennis at waits. One of the many contacts with Heysen Trail today. Thanks Barryd SA.
Had an amazing drive over from 'Tennis At Waits' and it was a great little gully you've bought us to .
Spent awhile looking around before we made the find .
Took badge. Left keyring. SL.
Thanks for another one Barry & Beryl.

Found It!
Took me longer to find this than it should have...
Not sure what all the noise from the shed across the road was about - sounded like they had a steam engine in there!

Camped here with a great gal, had an awesome fire with very cold weather.
Great spot next to the running stream.
Cache was nearby and found easily.

Thanks Barryd SA!
A quick P&G for geoD, the campfire across the road was still smoking, had they still been here it would have made the find a bit "difficult". Driving further down the track we located the likely campers.

Found it this time! The GPS was more accurate and then when we started to look around we found it slightly uncovered because we had disturbed the hiding place last time but missed it because it was dark and we didn't have a torch! Nice little spot around here! The pump in the shed nearby was running today. The water in the creek was flowing really well, but not sure if it was all from a spring or whether recent rains had boosted the flow. TFTC
Just got here on dusk and searched into the dark but couldnt find it around the whole area where the GPS was saying it was. Bit hard to get a proper fix, but the spot that the GPS seemed to like the most had no real way of hiding the cache! Might have to come back here in the daytime and have a look at the spring etc too!
Bit annoying because its the last one in this area for me too do..

We were returning to Port Elliot after a day’s caching and were lured off the Range Road by this 1/1 that we just couldn’t resist – and were so glad we succumbed! The cache took to us to a delightful area that we had never visited before, and, there was a stream with running water; a rarity these days.
An easy find and, at the end of the day, the stone to sit on while filling in the log was appreciated.
We returned to the Range Road via the Mount Scrub Road – again new territory for us.
T: A beetle eraser
L: Cake of Jo’s Handmade Soap
Thanks once again Barry & Beryl.

Lovely spot although strangely familiar in a deju-vu way. Was there a temporary cache here during the Normanville caching weekend? TNLN, and TFTC.

Perhaps we should have had the prodder with us, having seen a snake at the last cache, but it wasn't necessary. Short search, watched by a bull across the road.

Found 13:15. Day 3 of our Fleurieu Caching Holiday, 6th of 10 FFTD. What a perfect day for caching (Like everyday !), despite the 100mm of rain. Nice little drive-by, due to the rain didn't stick around. TNLNSL. TFTC.
10th for the day out and about with Team Ermalesh. On our way back to Deep creek. A fantastic spot to stop, we wenjoyed the drive in. Did as dusk was falling so kangaroos a plenty. Took TB Kiwi. TFTC
Day two of the trek to Cape Jervis, Da Frizz and Tarmar stopped in to get some water from the creek (just flowing) and gather the Heysen Hideaway. Nice place to stop and re-fuel. Left Kiwi Paints the World travel bug took nothing.
Out on the Motorbikes today. Grabbed this one on the way down the coast. Great country side. TFTC.
Why does the rain have to start as soon as you pull up to find the cache.
Had a great dive out to this location on the dry weather roads.

After dodging roos and lizards on the road finally got to GZ. We used our prodder and located the cache without too much trouble. Another good-sized B&B cache. Left a fridge magnet ladle and a klem bear and took a pooh bear. TFTC B&B

Enjoyed my trip along 299, this was a fun find and good history, had two finds and one bumed out on this trip.
Jeez, This was a long stretch on foot for this cache.....those mammoth hills between Tapanappa and here are quite a struggle. Camped at this little roadside spot......didn't relise GZ would be quite as close, but thankfully it was [xx(] Thanks. TNLN
Found @ 10:40
What a lovely isolated spot.
We removed some lollies to keep the ants/animals from prying, and left a tube of fabric paint.

Nice tree. Wonder if I could have it relocated to my front yard? Anyway found the cache after thorough search everywhere but. Managed to put hole in my new official GC T-shirt . Took braclet , left snake, Thanks Barry & Beryl.
Lordy but this is in the middle of nowhere!
Quick find as there is really only one obvious place for the cache assuming that sat lock is OK.
Took compass/caribiner and LED key light, left USB fan, compass whistle and small pocket knife.

Came to this interesting area full of confidence but left disapointed. We searched for about 35 minutes and found nothing but water bottles and staminade, presumbably left for walkers. We hope that they did not discover the cache whilst hiding their provisions but just us having a bad moment. Enjoyed the area anyway, will keeo an eye on this cache for interest sake
I have camped here a couple of times when bushwalking. It is not a very good campsite (slopey and very close to the road), but it does have a relatively reliable water supply (ie the spring) and is conveniently located a good days walk along the Heysen from Tapanappa. Today I was simply picking up some walkers who were coming from that direction and arrived early enough to find the cache. Took nothing. Left a few lollies I had in my pocket. Thanks,
Samark.
Samark.
Zytheran had given up this one as a no find after about 30 minutes looking but MiniZyth2 came to the rescue with a last minute find. I'm sure I looked there, it was so obvious. NOT. Took Boomerang keyring and left Eyeor and Pooh stamps.
Just down from the obvious car park (/slopey camp site) , have a look at the creek. On the down side, the flow was high. On the up side, no flow at all. Why[?] On closer examination, there is a bubbling spring – quite a high flow rate. I did not taste it today.
The cache was found in good dry order – I left a boomerang key ring and took a love heart key ring.
Thanks Barry and Berryl (again!).
Clear skies, Astro.
They must have been really struggling to find flat areas for campsites around here? Nice little hide. Took a pteradactyl, left a little froggy bucket and a keyring. Cheers
Last one for the day. 19 in all.
Nice little nook.

After pulling up and heading towards the cache had a couple of locals in a red ute pull up and asked if I was OK. Maybe they aren't used to people stopping at this point?
Found after a short search, not in the camo I was expecting from B&B though Took a wizard and left a pterodactyl. Cheers [^]

Search as I might I couldn't locate this one! Desperately needed an extra set of eyes in the form of ‘snake averse Sparky’ and ‘anti spider B1’. Will have to return another time with the reinforcements.
Found after a bit of a scratch around. Lovely peaceful area, perfect for an after lunch siesta but I have a feeling that is not going to happen. More caching on the agenda. Took keyring and left car. Thans Barry and Beryl.
Found at 11:30, with Brodie too.
I had just started to rain. The dog enjoyed the smells, and really wanted to get through the fence to the sheep.
Took a spider (to scare Natasha, apparently), left a golf ball.

An easy find in another stunning location, stopped and made coffee, whilst we enjoyed the site and tranquility of it. Thanks B&B. Took nothing left pen.
Found by Mary & David at 1510. A lovely sunny afternoon, just right for caching before we head back to Melbourne tomorrow. Very prickly grevilleas here. Creek sounds nearby added to the bush flavour of this cache. Quite a lot of water has flowed through here recently. Took cards, left wizard, Harry Potter foldup and thankyou clip. Thanks to Barry & Beryl - another lovely spot to visit.
Dear Barry and Beryl,
Thanks for leading us to this lovely location. The creek was tinkling away in the sunshine this morning. Just beautiful.
The cache evaded us for a little while until we searched that obvious spot one more time.
Morning tea followed an exchange of items. Then some skipping stones in the brook.
Regards
Freddo and friends.

With Team Jeckyl at 1610. A virgin cache and a travelling Gnome called Norm. Norm is going travelling soon with Pooh Bear. Left Oscar the dog to watch the cache. Big sorry to Gwen on this one, you were just in the wrong spot.
Don't worry Mark, I'll throw a spanner in the works when you aren't watching Had iChick travel bug on board and was going to leave her here, but she spotted Norm and they decided to travel together for a short time. Lovely views and environment and worth the trip down the road. Thanks B&B.
