Nice place to stop for geocaching, gifts and lunch. We have signed the truck, because right now there is no cache container. After a little chat with Fran - the owner of the Sunflower Station - we got to know that the cache has been blown away and is under refurbishment right now. This is one of our favorites. A blue ribbon for the location and Fran.

First Texas cache. Marked as found but cache container not there. The hide away spot was in for repairs. Store was open so did get to meet Fran (the store owner) and her trusty sidekick Brody (a Golden Lab). Fran said she was the inspiration for Flo on the "Cars" movie. Did not get to sign truck because I did not have a marker or paint pen. I did get many pictures though. Thanks for the cache hide.
Found it, only wish the store had been open. Took nothing.... Left a magnet above the drivers side window, and left our sticker on the window.

On a very long weekend tour of western Texas and northeastern Nevada with Medic302. The trip included three states, 42 caches (including 7 of the oldest 100 in US), 9 college campuses, 2138 miles and a nearly uncountable number of laughs spread out over 4 days. Thanks to ALL the cache owners for giving us a reason to stop and visit these fine caches.
What a great place! Thanks for bringing us here to this step back in time. Signed the bumper and just enjoyed the quiet.
please dont archive, I am doing the route in June and this cache is so important to the past and the new. hopefully somebody will resurect it before I get there.
As previous logs note....it appears that the well is gone and so is the cache ! A very cool place even if it was a DNF for us
The well is gone the new cache the new cache put here the 18th is gone too, boo hoo!

This cache needs maintenance not needs archived. Will contact last searcher and ask him where he looked for the cache we just put there.
I, too, found it but didn't see access to it. Gate was wired shut and didn't feel like jumping it. Cool spot.
Travelling from LA along this part of Route 66 to get to Portland, Maine for the 1st International Earthcache event. We stopped and saw where the cache was, umm'd and arr'd for a while then noticed a gate so a quick entry, sign log, replace and out of there without damaging the lawn area. TFTC Rt66Roadies.
Wandering back to CA and picking up some caches along the way.
Found the cache BUT did not sign the log because it was behind a fence and the gate was wired closed.
The store was close and there was no one around to get permission to enter the yard!
I have pictures of the hide area and of the cache will be more than happy to send them.

We are on a driving trip down Route 66 from Australia and found this at the halfway point. Good to have something to remind me of that. TFTC

Heading back to Michigan with rootee2t and annaLasagna after spending the holiday in SoCal. We stopped along the way to break up the monotony of the drive with a cache or two. We made a quick find here at 5:58 PM. Nice hide.

West bound on Route 66 heading down to Albuquerque tonight before getting into LA in 8 days or so. TFTC
US11. Absolutely nothing left active here. It seems like it should be more of an iconic spot. Thanks for showing it to me.
