Doesn't look like the cache owner is interested in maintaining this cache.

10-Dec-13
Given the state of GZ, I would advocate Archive, but CO should have the opportunity to check for themselves and decide on replace, relocate, or archive.

10-Dec-13
Dr Owl and I are on a caching afternoon before an event in the evening, and we come across this one, where to park ... this looks good.

Traffic is fairly slow and those coming up are spotted well before they get to us, still take care if you have to cross the road.

We come across what is effectively a dumping site, we have a look but came up with no cache. This is not to say it isn't here, just we are unable to find it.

09-Sep-13
Sad Didn't Find it!
Hadn't read the logs, but after giving up,
We thought it be of benefit for the cache owner to know we are all interested in finding this one...
But, someone has thrown a lot of waste in this area,
Where the GPS'r took us, we found no cache,
But to venture into the deep soursobs and rubbish,
we would advise against this. TFT hunt...

Many thanks to HardUnits,

Had a good scrounge around but no luck today.
Better lucknext time, Maybe!

23-Feb-13
I was out for some caching with Tigersden for the day Cool

I attempted to find 11 caches today and I found 10 and had 1 DNF Sad

We had some laughs and enjoyed a great day together Big Grin

This was our only DNF for the day, even after reading the last few logs Sad

28-Nov-12
Considering previous logs was not sure how I'd go here but had the time so made the effort.
Had no luck in the obvious easier spots, did see a good place which would have rated 4 star difficulty but without the right equipment could not check it.
Was about to leave when an orange Tic Tac container was spotted on the ground. Inside was what was probably a log in a previous life and a magnet that had at on stage been taped inside, not sure what the magnet was for as had not noticed anything metallic in the vicinity.
Removed old log and magnet, left a replacement log and placed cache in hopefully a suitably spot but would only rate difficulty as 1.5.
Thanks for the cache HardUnits.

20-Sep-12
Mr & Mrs M-SEZ went for a quick drive around the hills today and grabbed a few caches on the way. Not this one, though. It was hard! Unfortunately we had places we had to be, so we had to move on. We'll come back sometime with more time up our sleeves.

14-Sep-11
DNF at 10.05am. No luck for us today. We had a pretty good GPS lock indicating a perfect hiding spot, but couldn't see anything.
Will keep a watch on this one HardUnits.

while out checking the road book for the coming rally took time out for a quick cache

I didn't realise this cache needed maintenance until I read the logs. The original logbook was damp but a previous finder had placed a piece of paper in the cache so signed that. Not sure if the container I found is appropriate for the place it was located as it isn't really waterproof. Thanks for the cache HardUnits

16-Jun-11
GPSr took me to a point that where a cache was. Lucky I guess. TFTC.

29-Apr-11
Claiming a find.. we found a bundle of paper ...soggy thing with some logs on it.... was all that was left of the cache.. couldn't find any signs of container or mysterious 2nd cache???.. but managed to get our name on a log...

Definitely needs replacing. (sadly we didn't have any spare on us)

** mrs scoobster had a real dejevu moment when she realised the adjoining "white house' property was owned by a relative and she'd spent many a time as a youngster playing here! Smile

19-Feb-11
confusing cache, is there 1 or 2?

23-Jan-11
Lot's of Hard Rights and Hard Left on this road. But the owner had better do some maintenance real soon as there really isn't anything worth finding or signing anymore.

19-Nov-10
Found on a weeknight hunt. It wasn't very hard... soggy in fact.

04-Nov-10
Log Very Wet , Cache is not waterproof.

04-Nov-10
Found tonight at 11pm on a drive with Sparkydude.
We have heard there maybe be 2 caches for this one tonight we found a orange tic-tac container
with a very wet log inside. We took some pictures to show the find and to I.D the cache for future reference.

There was a small bird there tonight that would not leave the area, upon finding the cache we looked for the so called second cache only to find the little birds home and unhatched eggs. After seeing this we left the area as quickly as possible.
We suggest fellow geocachers be very careful not to disturb the unborn/young birds home.

Mr&Mrs Fluffy

26-Sep-10
Took a few minutes to find due to my first "look" not being very thorough. Back the second time and all revealed. Logbook is saturated and needs replacing as it is all stuck together and falling apart. Did manage to dry a small section with a rag to roughly sign the log. Definately in urgent need of a replacement. TFTC

26-Jun-10
Found easily with family. The cache and log are wet, so we were unable to write a log. thanks, yoink!

22-May-10
Inclement weather made things difficult, so we scrambled around the mud for a while before giving up.

27-Apr-10
Found with O'Cholio. The cache definately needs to be moved to a harder spot to coincide with the terrain rating....or change it to 1.5 star terrain. TFTC

27-Apr-10
It took a lot of searching to get this one, and that searching was done in 4 star terrain, in a lot of places that would've made really good hiding spots. Only by reading through the logs did we spot something and then check a place that we wouldn't have dreamed of previously. And that place is nothing like 4 star terrain - more like 1.5 Twisted. Surely this isn't the original spot [?], although the magnet in the original container says otherwise. TFTC, it's a good spot for a cache.

05-Apr-10
After struggling with lots of branches and trees, and at times on hands and knees, looking in all the places I thought it may have been, I gave this one up as not found and returned to the car where my daughter was listening to the radio. As we were leaving, Cachebug and DaboDabo, who we had met earlier in the day but on the other side of the river, turned up so I pulled back in to have a chat. Daughter was sitting in the car when she suddenly got out, went to the bushes nearby and said "Here It Is"!! Im guessing, and previous logs confirm this, that this cache is not where it should be. A soft find !!
Thanks for the hunt anyway, would be interesting to know if I was anywhere close had it been in its correct spot ?

05-Apr-10
we too were disappointed with this one. we expected a hard find and my daughter found it in about 5 seconds - we then found another one in a more difficult place while we were filling in the log of the first one. the 2nd one we found was in a more difficult hiding place and was sopping wet so re assume that is the original one, and the one we found first is the replacement in the wrong place. we signed log and put them both back in the harder hiding place. will email the owner to check that they are in the right place. Sad

05-Apr-10
we didn't exactly find it but more of a "hand me down" find. MrRobert's daughter found it while waiting for us having a chat. Definitely not in where it should be seeing terrain is 4 star. Hope the owner will check. Anyway it was a good revisit to a road I used to love driving on with my sports car. Thanks.

05-Apr-10
did this one with 12drawer. while we were logging one, my son William found another! probably the original one. see previous logs. [?]

03-Apr-10
After another extensive search (our third), Mrs DISK turned this one up in an unexpected place Surprised.
We don't think it's supposed to be here [?] - which we confirmed later in the day with a previous finder.
TNLNSL.
Thanks HardUnits. I think this needs to be relocated back to its proper spot Wink.

02-Apr-10
Spent about 20 mins looking for this one with my daughter, and after receiving numerous abrasions and scratches from the fauna, finally located it in the leaf litter, about 6m from GZ. On opening it, all I found was half a soggy scroll, a pencil, and a magnet. Tore off a bit of paper from my notes, logged my find on it, and put the container back where it might have come from. Will send a photo of it to the owner for him to view and correct.

07-Mar-10
Stopped off after zigging right and zagging left, but all I managed to find was a tip. Poked around the obvious places without luck.

06-Mar-09
Hmmm Sad. Looks like we need to read further back in the logs, cause we couldn't find either of them.
We'll be back Razz.

the co-ordinates are completely off and so is the terrain and difficulty has the potential for a good cache but was not happy.

23-Feb-09
Enjoyed this one. Found with "Drunken Monkey Chief". Final Cache for the night. Good find at 0100hrs.

TNLNSL

22-Nov-08
Finally after three attempts the monkey is off my back. An easy find this morning - I am sure I have looked there before..... TFTC

02-Nov-08
Thought I'd try this one quickly on a detoured way home from Woodhouse (Activities@Evo'08) but no luck, though think I had the right area. Cheers P of 'scargoes

26-Oct-08
Couldn't believe that the GPS was spot on here today. Well mine wasn't, but the trusty yellow Garmin 60 was!

26-Oct-08
Told you, my GPS is better than yours! Good old yellow Garmin. 1m. Brilliant. Clever hide too. TFTC

01-Sep-08
Visited this cache for a check-up and it has gone walk-about. I have replaced the cache and it is probably now not as hard to find as before.

04-Aug-08
12 month on - I thought I would give it another go - it beat me again - maybe in another 12 months.....

07-Jan-08
Found at first attempt! Long time since last find it seems. Going by recent logs, looks like the average numer of finds is once every 6 months! Thanks for the cache HardUnits.
PS. I removed the old log from the cache container as it was starting to resemble paper mache. Will attempt to unfold it and dry it out.

27-Aug-07
Searched everywhere but no luck

30-Jun-07
Found on second visit after a bit of a search. Log sheet was unusable as it was very wet. Left a few sheets of paper in a plastic bag so there is something for the next person to sign.
Thanks for the challenge. Smile

28-Mar-07
Looked right, looked left looked hard and then left Sad

27-Jan-07
Driving past this one today, we thought we would check to see if it's still there and how often it had been found. When we were looking for it in 2004, it took us ages and an number of visits to unearth it. We found it exactly where we had left it, with Zytheran's log of 23 Jan 05 the last one recorded.
However I see by the on-line logs that it has been found many times since and it would seem that when Parrothead replaced it, he put it in a different position? So apparently there are now TWO caches to find here.

30-Dec-06
Found by Team GeoCoopers.
Thanks Hard Units.

06-Nov-06
Nailed this one quite quickly, I think it all has to do where you pull the chariot up at! GPS actually said 15m away, but that thing was lying to me all morning!!
TNLNSL
Cheers

14-Oct-06
Had this on in a matter of seconds.

17-Aug-06
While looking for the cache I was quizzed by resident muggle wanting to know what I was doing. I said i was looking for something, she was not really impressed and said I was on private property. Will have to wait awhile before I will attempt this one again.

02-Jul-06
Found but not before spending at least an hour run around in circles (IN THE DARK) determined to get it, so went back to car went through the logs again. I was all over it and could not find it then suddenly the A Ha. made sense.
TFTC Very trickie...

02-Jul-06
Cool find.
After being dragged over a rock pile close by for an hour and a half staright off the plane from Melbourne I stayed with Ms Sassi as they went for their night time cache for FtF. I found GPSr lock no problem and the cache was only about 6 metres out . Reading the logs could have helped a lot if we had done it earlier. TFTC

24-Jun-06
A-Ha!!! Miss J had a hunch it would be there. Previous logs seemed out of place with where I was searching the other night. Visited during the day and had the cache within a minute. Much less harder than the description makes it out to be. Log scroll is damp, but loggable. Thanks HardUnits for the frolic through the shrubbery.

18-Jun-06
Thought we'd be able to claim a late night find with this cache, but it wasn't to be. After going over all the previous logs, I thought I had a fair idea what to expect. After slipping and sliding on the very wet ground we eventually gave up and had a long tiring drive home.

09-Jun-06
have previously stopped here before when it was missing

returned today on our way to kapunda, and made a really quick find, before moving on closer to camp GZ

Found by JackHenry 1/6/06
Tricky little hide, NOT where the GPS points to. Previous logs did help a lot. TNLN SL

21-May-06
A fairly easy find in easy terrain. Contents were very wet so I took it back to the car, cranked up the heater & dried it out in about 5 minutes before replacing.

25-Apr-06
Well, the GPS was pointing about 8m into some very pointy shrubbery. So FerretGirl (in a fit of pique that FerretBoy had found the majority of the caches that day) decided that she would take the lead, and waded about 3m in, while FerretBoy scouted the outside and found it [:(!][:(!][:(!]

Having read some of the logs was certainly useful.

TNLN. TFTC.

17-Apr-06
This was yet another cache that remained elusive today as the sat lock and the persistent rain had the ferretters wishing they were toasting marshmallows on an open fire, or at least thawing their toes infront of a gas heater! Will have to come back.

08-Apr-06
I swear it wasn't there last time I looked. Turns out, perhaps it wasn't! Exceedingly quick find this time, TNLNSL.

02-Apr-06
Nothing at all hard about this one if you read the logs. Once you've done that there are only two possible locations and I found the cache at the first in about 30 seconds.

So if you want to test your mettle, DON'T READ THE LOGS.

05-Dec-05
Well I replaced it with a container that should be ok for a while.
Since Posspet boys confirmed it gone I salvaged the magnet they mentioned and used it with my microcontainer.
(Thanks to zytheran's Tic-Tac cache Smile)
I located it near were I found the magnet but at a point were it was more concealed.
There isnt a pencil in the container so you will need one if you want to log.

After a short hunt decided to check the notes for clues, only to discover that it was possible missing! Good thing parrothead had a spare.
TNLN Ni!

04-Aug-05
Search unsucessfully for this one, with posspet watching from the car. After a few mins he confirmed that it had gone, and i had been searching for something that wasnt there

04-Aug-05
Out with Setsujoke the nephew. Last time I found this it was laying on the ground. This time I did notice a magnet but there was nothing else to find. I should have really let him go through everything I did to find this one but couldn't let him do that to himself.
May need to be checked out.

20-Jun-05
We passed by today - it's still there!

07-Feb-05
Went to check on this one today as somebody thinks it has gone walkabout. Well - I can report that it is still there. Cleaned up the container and placed it back in it's little home...

23-Jan-05
Found on first visit with no help by MiniZyth2.Big Grin Hard to get a good lock as the agro mozzies kept on stealing the GPS. Left nothing apart from a few pints of blood for the local bugs. Someone has left a small pencil in the cache to help out.

09-Dec-04
Considering stars, I was expecting to spend longer on this. You have to be lucky some times I suppose! TNLNSL

29-Oct-04
Found after a return visit.
You certainly have to have a broad imagination to find this location. About as broad as the accuracy of the GPS in the area.
TNLNSL

20-Jul-04
Passing this way to 51 Sundays and Pauls Sixth Posspet Boys thought to look into this for ourselves but unsuccesfully. Partner Pet was still pleased with himself for beating me to the first waypoint for Pauls Sixth but was soon just as frustrated as I.
The area is certainly getting a bit more flattened and we did our best to follow the clues.
After about an hour of tramsing here and trampsing there we left to complete 51 Sundays.
We will return even if I have to turn the whole area upside down but past experience has taught me that I should use my eyes and mind instead.
Will review the clues and return another day.

17-Jul-04
At last!! I was ready to give this one the big flick. Four fruitless attempts had really frustrated me. A hint provided by R4R recently was the only reason I was going all that way for one last time. Thanks guys. [^] A lousy two-lines in the log is a bit of an anti-climax and I was tempted to hoick the container over my shoulder, Wink but satisfied myself with returning it to its original location, safe in the knowledge that there are bound to be others pulling their hair out over this one Big Grin Thanks (I think?) HardUnits. I can always rely on your caches not to be boring Smile

11-Jul-04
FINALLY!!! Smile. This is my first log, but have found a number of caches with my partner. On this occasion, flew solo, but knew the area well, having visited here a few times before with partner only to leave empty-handed. Rummaging around in the rain when R4R turned up, I was in the right area THANKS Smile

6.12m NNW; 3.94m N; 1.12m SW; 4.45m NNE; 1.78m NW; 3.01m E! With a GPS spewing out erratic readings like a muddled auctioneer we thought we’d have no chance of finding this cache on our THIRD VISIT!!!.

Light was fading fast and we were down to our last few minutes at this site. With Sparky chanting the mantra “What would Mary (Maccamob) have done! What would Mary have done.†it became apparent and the cache was revealed!

Went home happy after that this find! A very relieved Rav 4 Raiders

08-Jul-04
After reading the logs I was more than a little apprehensive about our chances. The GPS took us all over the place, but we keep coming back to the same spot, and eventually success!!

08-Jul-04
Needed to do a small "upgrade" job on Paul's Sixth Mission and so as this is close by and armed with a reread of logs that shed some light on the subject we found the little bugger.
How did I miss this the first time?

03-Jul-04
With a useful hint we returned to the scene of our recent defeat. Just there. De dum. Two frogs left their mark. Exit stage left and right, and left again, and then some more right.

Fun spot for a cache and a drive.

27-Jun-04
Took the whole team for a look this time. No cigar again. Damn. How many stars.

The scrub is getting pretty beaten in a couple of area. You would think it would make it easier.

Never got a decent lock though. Maybe I should throw away the instrument and search with both hands.

But what a road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

23-Jun-04
Success on this occasion. TNLN. Thanks Hard Units.

22-Jun-04
Found by Mary & David at 1236 along the way to 51 Sundays. Given some of the previous logs, we set ourselves a 30 minute time limit. Mary made the breakthrough after 20 minutes and was naturally very pleased with herself! Think the area needs a CITO event though - yuk! Thanks for the challenge, HardUnits.

20-Jun-04
Found at 17:45 after spending the afternoon with Gunnell and Pandaabear. Found the cache using the car headlights fairly quickly. A tricky one, thanks Hard Units.

06-Jun-04
We looked and looked - we tried to think devious and nasty. We looked for holes bored into trunks, we looked for pieces of wire hanging out of bushes and trees but to no avail.Red Face

09-May-04
Lala found it just after I had a man's look. Haven't been on this road for ages. Thanks Hardunits.

Tried this before, but with a clue from someone, we got it this time. Thanks Hardunits.

01-May-04
A few no finds and I wasn't confident. Pulled up near the site and started looking, then someone else pulls up in the same spot. Strange spot for a muggle, but it turned out to be HardUnits checking if it was still there. That made the find a bit easier Red Face Deviously hidden is all I can say, and for those worried you don't need to cross the private property gate. Thanks HU.

01-May-04
Well well well... It's definately there guys. Caught up with Richary while checking up on this cache. Waited till the GPS settled and reviewed the co-ords. I was only .001 out - quite pleased at that! No clues as this is a 'nasty' cache. Enjoy the hunt.

26-Apr-04
Oh dear. Another no find on this cache. Do we think it might be because of the tree cover and it valley-esque location or the fact that the site seems to be a bit of a local dumping ground? We looked for about 30 minutes in what we thought were ALL the possible locations. Twisted

18-Apr-04
Spent half an hour looking today. Sometimes GZ pointed just near the chain gate, other times in the middle of the bush. In the words of Freddo, "I shall return".

17-Apr-04
I too had trouble with the satellites. At one stage they were only giving me 30m accuracy. Finally settled down to 6m which established MY GZ about 5m on the ‘good’ side of the private property fence. Despite searching for at least an hour in ever increasing circles, I eventually had to admit defeat. Found tons of kitty litter Twisted and plenty of places that I would have hidden the cache, but still came up empty-handed. Still, enjoyed the views on the way back to the main road and got some great photos Smile

10-Apr-04
Trampled undergrowth suggests more than three previous visitors to GZ. Came in from a number of angles but no prize! [B)] HU - Perhaps a hint or clue? Cheers R4R

09-Apr-04
First no find of the day. We had lots to do and as we kept coming back to a location on the wrong side of the private property. 5m!! We gave up and decided to come back another day when the sats and gods are a little more kind.

I love this spot though fantastic location. Thinking back on it there was one spot i didnt try.

04-Apr-04
Damn - beaten to the post Twisted I had this spot marked on my map as a future cache location.

04-Apr-04

Found this around when the sun was crossing the yard arm. Keep your eyes on the road, as plenty of cars cut corners around here. Left the log as instructed. Thanx Hard Units!
Clear skies from Thomas and Emily and John.
