Logs
Looks like this one has now gone. It was one of the first ones we put in, and the location was always a bit dicey. There are others in the town, so I dont propose to replace it.
Too many DNF's, so it looks like this one has gone. Will try and get up there in the next few weeks to replace it.
Spent some time there searching then checked others' log and realised that it is perhaps not there now.
I thought I wouldn't find it and I didn't. Although I didn't look as hard as I could have. I figured it was washed away in the recent floods. I followed the trail that it might have been swept down...came to a under the road pipe. I suspect it is in there as I saw a box shape but didn't want to go in and get dirty.
This cache stuffed up a 100% find rate for the day, guess 1 DNF for the day isn't to bad,
Had a couple of searches both in the dark & daylight without luck. Given the number of DNFs lately I suspect the cache is no longer there?
A check from the cache owner might be helpful?

Spent a bit of time trying to find this one. Noticed on line that this cashe has not been found for a while.
DNF on this one

Had a while looking for this without any luck then just as we were about to leave up drives a car, and the driver wound the window down to tell us they couldnt find it either. We decided to ramble off to the cider place. Cheers. MODU.
[Struggled with this one. Had a look in twilight and couldn't get a lock here. Returned in morning for another crack after reading previous logs but still couldn't find. Heavy recent rains have shifted a lot of gravel and leaf litter so maybe buried?] Looked inside out outside wall, in and around big log and under plum bushes along wall opposite cottages but to no avail? [Been a while since anyone logged a visit so will keep an eye to see if I'm loosing my touch]
Second DNF today - but 10 finds already! We all searched quite for a while, in front and behind the wall. I even climbed it to search for holes and hides. There is a drain pipe outside, and recent rain must have been here, heavily, so I wouldn't be astonished if it was gone.
Interesting part of Burra. I have never realized these cottages, although we had frequent stops in the city. Thanks for bringing us out here, a little bit of sight seeing! Curious, if the cache pops up again and I''ll come again!

after The Arkaroo, RockSandra and I visited with Blue Desert Drive two burra-mine-caches, we want look for this one - an old wall nice ..but we don't know really, if it inside or outside, in the south oer west ...in bush or the wall.
the really gps-data ain't show me the place ..no cache
the really gps-data ain't show me the place ..no cache
we searched some time ...but did not find ...so we gave it up and go
but as visitors there were Nicolavs Copernicvs,
the Pirat-Party Jack the Pirate Bear & Travel Pirate and the Jeep 4x4 #0061
I'd had a DNF on this one previously, and to mixed reaction, McPhan found it fairly quickly. And given the age and condition of the wall, I think it fair to advise that the cache is not on or in the wall! Thanks miray.
3638. [font=Comic Sans Ms][green]Mr Winglen thinks that he had a previous DNF on this one. There is such a tempting pile there that that is easy to understand. I wandered away with my head down and made the find outside.

Rated: for Overall Experience
Looked for at least 15 minutes for this one - we must have been on the wrong side of the wall! We were very conscious of the school kids playing sport. The renovated cottages turned into accommodation are a good tourist gimmick. Sorry we could not find your hidden treasure, but we enjoyed the sights of Burra and reading about its' history.

A quick find at 10:25am as we did a lap of Burra before moving on. We stayed in the Ivy Cottage not far away and were very comfortable.

Struggled with this one as GPS readings were all over the place. After reading logs realise where it will be and will visit again with the expectation we'll find it on the second try.
The last time we found a Miray cache was back in 2006, so we were looking forward to logging this one!
It nearly didn't happen though, as we spent far too long searching all the wrong spots. Sat lock wasn't good here, but even when I headed out from under cover, it seemed to be pointing elsewhere.
Mrs J spotted it as we were returning to the car to read previous logs. I bet it was easier to access back when this cache was hidden!
Thanks miray.

Thankfully we had a small kid to retrieve this for us so we didnt get scratched or hurt lol. Thankyou, he is so happy he found the cache (his first)
TFTC. A few muggles around so had to be careful. Great location. Took dice left hat.
This was 8 metres out for us on a really wet & overcast day .
Eventually located.

Found like many other cachers, had a look on the "wrong side" and then found it on the "right side"....
Had to put the beagle back in the car. Too many interesting smells around here. Easy find then. TFTC SL
Found with the Reluctant Companion on our trip to Albany for the Ulysses AGM Event. Once again the RC came to the fore and saved the day. Thanks for a great cache in a wonderful little town.
YAY! Glad we waited for a cooler day! for some reason our GPS too us at least 15mtrs away but as this was the seccond attempt there was no way were going go without logging this one! It was a bit wet so we gave some TLC and went on our way!
Found whilst relaxing in Burra for a few days.

Thanks for the cache!
Thought of snakes kept us and our young family from looking too hard. Will go back on a cooler day
Had trouble with co-ordinates. Led us a little astray. had a good look with reference comments from others. Were careful of the grass with snake concern on this warm day. Happy to go back
When all the rooms at all the motels around Clare and Burra were booked out this weekend, it would have been nice to have booked into these interesting and quaint little rooms.

Called in on the way back from Mungaranie to check out the cache. All well, thanks to The Morris for the repair work.
Initially looked on the wrong side of the wall....but to view the cottages, you need to be on the other side!
Thank you for your cache. A little tricky to start with but managed to get our act together albeit in the rain. Gemini7
Found on Day 4 of The Bucket Trip travelling from Renmark to Port Pirie. Cache was saturated and mouldy. We dried it out and added a tiny notebook to the sheets that have already been added with some silica. Tossed out the contents which are all rusty and mouldy and placed a few items in. Boy it was cold and windy today but we all needed the walk. TFTC
This cache really needs replacing.... It has obviously been drenched in the recent rains and everything is very mouldy and wet.... TFTC
Found with Ferny and Nhoj by starlight. Tysonium, who had found it before, waited for us in the wrong spot....
Found it no worries. The log book is pretty damp and mouldy. Unfortunately we were unprepared. TFTC miray
Found with the geofamily on the way to the Flinders Ranges. TNLN, TFTC. Contents quite damp and some mould starting to appear.
Sorry I didnt have spare log book to replacement. SL. Thanks miray for organising the cache and hunt.
Love old brick fence.
Love old brick fence.
Was rambling in Burra for their annual Antique Fair so thought I'd better find a cache. Sure has been wet and mouldy - still damp. Use older logs as clues. TNLNSL TFTC.
Found with Wombat Warriors 1 on our SA Trip, this cache needs some TLC as needs urgent maintenance, its rather wet. Thanks
Got all scratched up accessing this one between passing muggles. The old log's full of black mould; we felt it's not really our place to go disposing of old logs, though, so we left it. New one's ok. TFTC.
Looked for quite a while on the wrong side of the wall. Looked all over the wall for loose stones before thinking outside the square - and there it was! Had a great time in Burra and on the way to & from Adelaide via back roads. With a friend Adam from UK. Still wet even after a long hot summer. Nice location MIRAY. Thanks for the cache.
Found this cache on a trip to Adelaide from Wollongong via Broken Hill then back again through Griffith and Canberra. The date of our visit might be off. The contents of this cache were very wet. We dried them out a little but they were still wet. TFTC
A quick find, yet cache was extremely waterlogged. Could not sign log as it was too wet. Drained water from cache and replaced. This one will need a bit of maintenance.
A relatively easy find, was a cloudy day so the GPS was a bit unsure of itself at times, we were on our way up to the Horseshoe TopEnd property to enjoy some 4WDriving with Sherpa Bash. Who put that wall in the way????
Yes contents still a bit damp.

Saturday, 2:30pm: Let's go to Clare for the weekend!
Saturday, 3:00pm: Leave town
Sunday, 7:00pm: Home!
Somewhere in the middle: 35 caches!
First on the Sunday morning. With Clare all full up, we made the trip out to Paxton Square. I love Paxton Square. Always have. It's a great place to stay in a great town. Anyway, wandered up to GZ with a cup of tea in one hand. Gotta love that!

I love caches that have been around for 5 years, and you can go back and visit them 3 years time, and see your name still in the log book
Re-Found this cache on our impulsive caching run to the Clare area.
Unfortunately clare let us down, and didn't have any beds free anywhere for the night, so the Paxton Cottages saved us. We stayed 100m from GZ, allowing Anja to make the find at 9am, with cup of tea in hand.
We returned to our cottage to sign the log. The cache is still in great order, and will survive another 5 years there.

We hunted high and we hunted low, we hunted around and we hunted slow. We hunterd and we hunted and we hunted and we hunted, but couldn't find this easy cache. Was it there or has it gone, was it us or is something wrong.[xx(]

Found lots of goodies in cache making it very full. Needs a new book & pencil needs sharpening. Being on foot I did not have anything with me to rectify this.
We were temporarily stuck with this as the size of the cache threw us. We thought a 3 would be bigger. We discounted looking there first, but in desperation gave it a go and there it was. TFTC and visit of Burra. We stayed overnight in the Paxton Square Miners Cottages which come highly recommended... eatmorchickin and Stigglepot from Brissie.

Took a little while to find, as the sat lock wasn't real good, and the 22month old was having fun exploring the local area and distracting us.

This one took a bit to find with the GPS putting us about 10meters away from the hiding spot.TFTC This cache needed a new book but sorry we didn't have on with us.
Was able to park nearby and this provided the cover needed to grab this cache. TFTC.
A quick find. Mr S made the comment that he thought miray would have been drinking coffee or red wine rather than beer. Missed you guys at the June event this year with the coffee maker!
Thanks miray

Took a horse and left a bracelet. Have stayed so near here it isn't funny, and never went for a walk to find the cache. Can't believe it. It won't happen again that's for sure.TFTC
