The Terrain* is perfect for this cache, Doesnt need to be adjusted. If cachers think this a 4* they need to get out more haha
Quite a trek to find this one. Thankfully having experienced Wal & Ol with us, we clambered up thru recently flooded terrain to find the treasure. Wal & Ol brought replacement container. Thanks for bringing us to this amazing place but the Pyr Mountain dog missed out this time as he tired early and returned home at lunch time.
This was the first cache we found, so we have a soft spot for it! Took Pony1966 for a walk/climb, and replaced the container (now that we have a few hundred under our belt, I reckon this should have a terrain rating of at least 4! The second climb seemed harder than the first time!)
Today we set off to clean up a few off the southern caches before attending the Halloween event, was a great days caching with quite a few finds. TFTC
Out with 3LG caching our way towards the Halloween event down south.
A cold miserable day after the lovely spring weather yesterday.
Not the best days to walk and locate this cache.
With rocks and high grass had to watch every step.

bones made a physical visit for his D/T grid and to test out version 2 of his bag ( attaches to my backpack )
Our first cache, with Caching The Joint - the Pyr Mountain Dog certainly enjoyed the terrain! We'll go for another climb in a few weeks and replace the container.
If this a difficulty of 2 and terrain of 3 I aint doin' 5's...
This is actually pretty tricky so wear runners or hiking boots, its quite steep and slippy.
The clue is subjective. There are different types of flat.
All that said, a great spot and nice hide. My first timer colleagues Wal & Ol found it with the help of their mountaineer dog but I'll take the glory. They are hoping to go back soon with replacement container.

Love any opportunity for a scramble. Nice hidden spot here.
Cache is in desperate need of attention, looks like a rock fell on it and split it in half.
Danke.

Good climb. Was a bit of a climb through rocks though and would suggest caution is you are not experienced at climbing.
Had looked at this one before and decided it wasn't one to do alone. Today I had the company of KiwiOzzie so thought it could be worth a shot. A scramble down one side and up the other soon had us at the right spot. Log book found out in the open alongside opened container. Managed to put it back as well as possible (larger container is in pieces scattered across the cliff face). Now to get back out of here. TFTC. 10/02/2016, 19:37 Find #1374
Let's do a bit of caching suggested AnyMules. Of course I jumped at the opportunity. Then he parked near a gully. "We'll do that one so if I fall you can help me." I think I must have a screw loose, but I decided to give it a go. Surely it wouldn't be that bad! Well, I made it to the cache, now just have to make it back to the car lol. TFTC 10/02/2016 7:37 pm Find #1009
found it with jacknor on a weekend of caching 85 finds, 2 dnf, 2 game piece tbs, and the bat key. went down the valley and jacknor stayed about 1/2 way down then I climbed up the other side to the cache to hear " its right there " from jacknor ( on the other side of valley ) when I was 1 metre from cache. as if I cant see a medium cache. I reckon its a t3.5 but my favourite cache in hallet cove area
found on a caching weekend with sir_spectre. a couple of ladder caches Friday night, 25 finds sat, 55 finds sun and 2 dnf for weekend
After 10 months I was back here with rod81w as my backup and rock climber extraordinaire.
Had another good hike in to GZ through grass that was a lot longer and higher than I remembered from last time and today there were dozens of black cockatoos squawking and flying around as we walked through their habitat.
Got close to GZ, rod made the final ascent and at last the log was signed. [^]
Thanks for the cache Gwyndigo.

Co ords led me straight to the cache. Just getting to it was the fun part. Started down low and had to climb up a very slippery and shaley cliff, great view when you get here though. Oh and did I mention the " TRIP" back down much quicker though not recommended, probably easier not to trip, but climb down. Tnlnsl TFTC Gwyndigo
Suscoe's 14th find of today as we continued our Adelaide wanderings.
A beautiful Winter's day was emerging with a mostly clear sky and a gentle breeze.
What a great Saturday after a cool start.
All was quiet as Suscoe walked to GZ.
What a fun cache and a necessary find for us to complete another square in our date hidden matrix.
All was good at GZ except for the burn cigarette but in the log book. The previous finders I hope were not geocachers, a small hole was burnt in one page thank goodness no other damage was done.
Thanks to Gwyndigo for placing this cache in such a splendid spot.
A favourite from us.

Tftc! Bit tricky to get to with a broken wrist!
But after some scope work.. Made it!

Checked back in on this after more than a decade. Had replacement box, but the log wouldn't fit in it. Cleared junk, added more swaps, back in 2025!
Nice view from down below, as I started towards GZ wearing thongs I thought I would head back and put on more appropriate footwear, but I didn't, made it to GZ and my thongs break just my luck lol, TFTC and a nice little scramble up.
Cache could do with some maintenance

A quick find once i got to the spot. The container is a bit broken but the log etc is ok. I enjoyed the trek. TFTC
Not really a DNF as I didn't make it to GZ. I got oh so close, but just couldn't make the last 10 metres or so as I was by myself and didn't fancy a fall...how would I explain why I was scrambling around rocks in snake country by myself. [?]
Tried a few different approaches but didn't quite get there. Will have to come back again with backup.
Thanks for a nice little hike though Gwyndigo.

Walked along the wrong side at first before crossing and crabbing along the right side! Climbed down and made the very quick find! The dogs across the valley made me wonder how strong the fence is because a pit bull was barking like crazy and actually throwing itself at the fence!
Found It!
Once at GZ finding it was easy. Getting there was another story...
I came in from the bottom and went out the top. If the creek had been any higher up I would have got wet feet...
***Watch out for the massive bee hive in the tree just below GZ***

Had to come back after the phone GPS was bouncing all over the place. Armed with the Magellan this time made it a much simpler find. Great little spot once you manage to scramble up there. Never would have thought to venture down this gully otherwise. Left a few pens, Signed Log. Thanks Gwyndigo
One of seven caches found on a days caching with Kasyn and Gaardigy. TFTC was a good climb up there
Followed the path with Roffer, and scrambled up the rocks to GZ. Even the dog managed to clamber up! Thanks for a nice big cache.
This was the last of the day, big mistake, we did not realise that this one needed a little bit more effort. We managed to circle around this one and checked it out from all angles to decide which would be our best approach. With a scramble here and a slip and slide here and there we managed to arrive at GZ. The cache has not had a visit for quite awhile but it was found to be in good condition. SL TFTC
a school holiday caching run help find this one today .it was a challenge and lots of fun.
sat back n watched the mountain goat aka Nat0507 climb her way to gz... tftc

Work theme swaps for me on this one wouldn't be very handy considering I work in a bakery so TNLN. Always like a good climb its gives you a good work out I should take more note of my phone gps though instead of making assumptions on the hint but.... still came across GZ after a good scramble What a great hide [^] TFTC
Sweet climb. Felt a bit sorry for nifty.jaye as she was climbing up after me and got a few facefuls of dirt!
I came in on the opposite side of the gully. Found my way across the creek and up the other side. Came in too high so had to climb down and around all the time
looking out for snakes. Found the cache signed log and replaced. It was a bit of a climb and could have ended badly but glad it didn't.

Certainly deserves its terrain rating! We were wondering if we had missed an easier way in but on arriving at the GZ it was obvious there wasnt!! Thanks Gwyndigo for the hide!!!
Well I though that the terrain raiting on this one should be a bit higher but then I am realy a new comer to this caching sport and I am not young and energetic but i did swear and curse while getting this one but then its what ceocaching is all about well done on the hide TFTC
Yes, just another day at the office swam up a crocodile infested river, wadded across a flesh eating fish infested river, jumped out of a helicopter, walked through a wall of flame that was created by carcargenic chemicals and of course slid naked down a scree slope just to reach this cache. Now all that I have to do find my way back to the car park.
TN left TB for the next person.
Oh! by the way did I mention that it took 200gm of feral camel meat laced with 3mg of Nembutal to stop the dogs across the valley from barking.

Access was a bit tough for a creature with webbed feet, but then that's the nature of evolution, you can't have everything (but hey! you should see the water fall of my back) took keyring, left yellow car.
The GPS was a bit flaky but finally settled down and took me to the cache in the end. The trees down in the river bed were full of Monarch Butterflies, a fantastic sight.

Coming in from the ponds downstream, a great little park that we really enjoyed strolling through. Got to GZ (sure it was more than 3 star terrain and had a look around with no joy. Mrs TiedyeSmileys with her wounded wing was struggling a bit on the slope so we called it quits for today.

This was one that has an interesting approach. Watch out for loose shale! Previously looked for it on the wrong side of the ravine and in the end worked out the side but ran out of time. Took an ambulance (and hoped it wasn't an omen) and left a dinosaur. Tftc and nerve wracking exercise.
Found on a day out of the office. After having a week from hell it was nice to be out in the open, and not being under the pump.
The dog across the way started barking when I was 50m away from GZ and kept barking until I was out of the gully, I hope it had a sore throat by the time it stopped.
Thanks for the cache, and challenge, Gwyndigo.

What an amazing cache. If you come in from the north of the cache it makes the whole experiance more enjoyable.
What a shame D didn't have the right type of shoes to climb and leaving it all up to M and J.

Quite a trek to get to this one. We ventured up from the coast. On the wrong side of the creek initially (glad to see some water in the creek).
Great view back towards the dam. TNLN SL.

Our adventure cache of the day .
This is a really nice spot [^]! Had lots of fun getting to and from the cache.
Came in from across the creek and didn't hear from any dogs this morning .
Took TB and letter opener. Left dinosaur and ambulance. SL.
Thanks for bringing us here Gwyndigo.

I parked on the wrong side of the gully and went for a walk at the back of some houses in the process disturbing a couple of really bored Border Collies who barked all the time I was in their sight, including when I was across the gully. I made my way down over the creek then up the other side scrambling as per the cache description. I finally found the cache, signed the log and left a bunny TB. The dogs finally stopped barking when I was nearly back to my car - phew!! TFTC Gwyndigo.

Our firts find for the day and what a way to warm up! Getting a 7, 5 and 2 year old to the cache and away again was clearly WORK! We left a golf ball and lego block as representations of our work. Took a police badge and rubber ball. Also left geocoin - The Bounty hunter to begin his travels.TFTC.
Came in from the Conservation Park...good walk for a Sunday afternoon...

Nice scramble, Gary found this one with Hayden. Nice security dog that likes to Bark!
On seeing that there was a walk, and it was hot, we were a bit dubious about looking for this cache but decided to have a crack anyway. Mrs O quit when the going got tough, but Mr O pressed on and climbed his way to the cache, wishing he got to to work in an office like this! TFTC.
I try not to think of the office when I am out caching, not that it is a bad place as they let me go interstate caching!
Anyway I took the direct route in and out of this one and soon had the hide. Nice views down to the lake.
Thanks

I came here from conservation park. The scramble would have been more fun in a bit cooler weather. Now it was only exhausting - but I made it to the cache and the box was fortunately immediately found. I returned along same route that I had arrived. On my way to Hallet Cove station I saw the alternative route to the cache. Shorter but too steep for me. This was my last found in Australia on this trip.
Indeed a nice pond with lots of birds. I stayed low as long as I could and that seemed to work well. A dog up the hill watched me as I signed the log. Happily I left the office behind several years ago now, thanks Gwyndigo.
Enjoyed the walk throught he park and past the ducks on the lake. Went high early and had to climb down to the GZ, not my finest moment. Absolutely loved it and so did Geo daughter who made the find.
Took the bandage and left a 2gb memory stick, promo stick with product info. You can just delete that and use it for whatever you like. TFC Excellent fun ! Cheers.

Found after much scrambilng, and didn't get spotted by the neighbour across the way who was playing with her dog.

The trick with this one is the approach. Tried one but looked a little wet with a creek crossing. Tried another one and an easy find. TFTC
We really enjoyed scrambling around in the rain. I loved this one TFTC Good hide. My elevations were way out of wack.I must fix it.
We had spent the day helping a mate move into the district and thought we would knock this cache off while we were there. Had a bit of trouble finding the best access road and in the end it was on the wrong side of the valley. We scrambled down, crossed the creek and scrambled up.After short search the cache was ours. Thanks for the adventure and a great cache hunt. It was touch and go a few times and we seemed to create a few rock slides, but it was really really great fun! Thanks heaps!
Enjoyed the scramble with j jnr late in the day. Eventually found it. The info in the hint put us off to start with. tnln tftc
We enjoed walking along the river but I was glad that I did not climb up. Of course Everlasting did it for us.

Three of us enjoyed drive the car for the day. Phew! I enjoyed climbed the rock no swap. Thanks for organising the cache and hunt.
Nice walk down the side of the gully, and there was some water in the creek in the bottom! Enjoyed scrambling around the rocks in the sun.
Not a difficult find, but I'm not sure I would like to work here today, a bit hot on the rock.
Anyway we aren't thinking about work, we're caching!
Thanks, Robmc.

We probably chose the hardest way possible in and out of this cache but we found it and that's what counts. Thanks for the exercise, the views, and the cache. All good.
Had a great time climbing around on the rocks. Finally found it when we were just about to give up. Left a highlighter and a heart (I'm a nurse who does office work) and took Dr Spock
What a lovely spot for a cache! Loved the view from ground zero and took a nice break while looking through the goodies in the cache. Took the platypus travel bug and a little tupperware container (that was so cute) and left the live long and prosper travel bug (Mr Spock will love the view) TFTC
Stood and watched months back as diesel69 found. Finally returned to log for myself. Creek flowing well.

Left small tupperware container
