We came along Planet Arabury road so thought we better visit this location as not a lot of other points of interest with cordillo downs still closed to towing. The first dune a bit of fun without putting into 4wd
Day three of my Three Corners tour, visiting all three of Queensland's remote western corners over 12 days. The plan today is to visit our first corner - Haddon's corner and camp in the dune nearby. As far as distances go, today was a short day so we were not in a great rush to leave Windorah. So I took an early morning pre dawn walk around Windorah. Indeed, I managed a full lap of town. Along the way we stopped for some smoko at JC ruins before turning south and then west again to Haddon's Corner. After snapping a few pictures to celebrate, i wandered over to find this cache. Once down we headed south and made a memorable camp in the sand dunes for the night. With all the recent rain, the wildflowers were in full bloom. Some more light rain overnight dampened our enthusiasm for a quick start and slowed our pack up the next morning. Next stop is BirdsvilleMany thanks Mac & MissusPete#7,984 at [12:48]
Log was a bit tight but we are really happy to visited this location (with a few flies)After camping at Coopers Creek we headed off towards Innamincka. We are supported our mate who ran to Darwin via the length of New Zealand, Tasmania and through Geelong, Adelaide and Alice Springs (@curlyrunsnz).We are heading back to Adelaide via Longreach after warming up in Darwin. Mac & Missus, I found Haddons Corner today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Day 24. A last minute plan had been hatched to make my by way to QOGM. Very little planning had been done but a very rough outline was in place and it was going to be a day by day trip.I continued the journey home, tagging on with posums for a few days. After spending the night at Betoota, we set off south towards Haddons corner and Innamincka.First ever visit here. Enjoyed the couple of dunes and then hopped back and forward between Queensland and South Australia. There has obviously been some recent rains out here as there was some surface water and boggy areas. Great fun and another corner ticked off the list. Thanks Mac & Missus for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you planning a trip to Victoria? Check out some of these caches on the nominees list for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards. The shortlist is available [here](https://coord.info/BMC8QYR)
Well my trip up to QOGM started a couple of weeks ago and after taking the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there. So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so after heading west and making it to Longreach time for a break from the travelling. So after a couple big days out to Stonehenge, Isisford and Ilfracombe, The Tritonz and Roaming Howie finally joined me and we did the puzzle trail. Then a fun first muster day to Muttaburra and back then a great tea event and a few more caches.A trip to Stonehenge and back again for them. The second muster day and boy what a busy day as there was a lot going on in the car with everything we had to do.Collect trads, look at photos, find some forks and then some property numbers as well. The Mexicans as we were called teamed up with a couple of other cars The Morris and Pool Pool to have a lot of fun over the radio.Well all the caches have been found and after another great dinner event QOGM has officially finished. This was my first QOGM and I had a great time, but all good things must come to end and today I must start heading towards home but Im also taking the very long way around back to Victoria.Roaming Howie is joining me on this section of the trip and the area is all new to him. After spending the night at the Betoota Pub we set off to head South down the Arrabury Rd towards Innmamincka.I have been here before but that was pre caching so the Pub and the 2 corners was the reason I headed this way.Nice not towing and crossing the dunes was easy and there was also water lying around after some recent rains.Signed the logbook then found the cache and signed that one retook. Thanks Ian Mac TFTC.
Finally got this one off the list. We parked the van and car prior to the sand dunes that were about 2 and a half kms from gz. Thought it would add to the experience to walk in. We had a tail wind and the flies loved us. Trying to huff and puff over the dunes and not swallow flies pretty difficult . Found the cache in excellent condition and we had a good look around at the plaques. Thanks Ian for placing this cache all those years ago. Fav point alloc

It was a good experience about outback. We arrived before dusk.

Another cache in a brilliant location ticked off. We had a lid that suited the cache container so added a new log page and ziplock. We removed the berocca tube since everything is servicable again now for the next adventurers.
We are headed south to Innamincka killing time before QOGM 2023 at Longreach. Tftc

Found!!!! We just had to do a detour on our trip to birdsville to pick up this special cache. Found easily and cache in excellent condition. Still plenty of water lying around and the sand dunes added a bit of fun. Tftc
We are travelling from Adelaide, visiting Parachilna, Coward Springs, Eringa Waterhole, Mt Dare, Dalhousie Springs, across the Simpson desert to Birdsville, Innaminka, down the Old Strezlecki Track to Lyndhurst, a stopover in Mintaro and home again.
We found this cache ( a tube tied to a bush) with a clear plastic lid that crumbled and fell apart. We didnt have a lid that would fit, so I have placed the log in a Berocca tube just underneath the tube and covered it in rocks. I was not able to contact the CO at the time and now see that they havent been active for many years. Due to the age of this cache, I have replaced the container and hope it lasts a few more years.

Found at 10:21:00 AM(t) GAFF1.
After a longish drive we managed to drive right up to GZ with our van in tow - easily going over those two sand dunes just before arriving at the "corner". Not sure that a 2wd can get in there - not even by going around the track that by-passes the biggest dune.
Thanks Mac & Missus.
Feedback: We were looking for a "regular" but found a small tube attached to a bush.

I have done quite a bit of travelling within Australia but most of it was throughout the various gemfields. I have always wanted to visit all the 'corners' in Australia and on this trip, we will manage to visit three. Thanks to Team Crackers and Micaparamedic for letting myself and Papi4506 tag along on our way to the Townsville Mega. Thank you for placing this cache.
I can't express how pleased I am to have made it out here. This, as well as the other corners, are at the top of my 'bucket list'. To top it all off, there is a cache here, so another way to mark our journey. Thanks for the placing the cache out here.
Travelling with micaparamedic, papi 4506 and geoturtle 37 to Townsville for the mega via Birdsville.
We weren't sure what the roads would be like coming out here and we were really pleasantly surprised in the great condition that they were in as we traveled from Innaminka.
We enjoyed the last two dunes on the way in as they were a nice change from the generally flat roads we had been on all day. Our normal practice is to head to gz to grab the cache and get that out of the way before going to checkout what is around it.
Today was different as we all headed directly to the corner post and took the mandatory photographs and also signed the visitors log as we paid our respects.
After that we headed off to gz where the GPSr led us directly to the cache hide where we needed a TOTT to get the log book out. After adding our names to it we rolled it a bit tighter and it should now be a lot easier for the next finder.
Many thanks Ian Mac for placing this cache here, a favourite point from us.

So we got to Haydens corner I had no idea there was a Geo there and I had no Internet we did sign the book and leave a little cow in the visitors box I hope this is good enough as a log if somebody finds the wheel lock could you please add Cows11 the 23rd of the seventh 21 I’ll even post a photo
Visited this corner of QLD and SA and found this cache whie there.. This is the frist state corner I visited with 2 more to go. on my list. TFTC.
My lack of preparation on this one cost me a find here. WhytKnight had a photo but no coords. After hiking up the hill we combed the desert to no avail. I suppose it is an excuse to come back and visit again but boy it is a long way from home,,,,a long where from anywhere!
We’re currently enjoying our outback trip with the aim of doing the two ‘Corners’. This was our first Corner.
We were expecting the roads to be a bit busier but there’s not much traffic at all.
Good coords made for a quick find but cache lid was broken and brittle. We had some lids in the car that would fit so the cache now has a new lid. All good here now.
Thanks for the cache and adding more fun to our visit to Haddon Corner.

Found, must be the most remote cache I've ever been to. TFTC, all is good out here.
Nice hide. Had to run back to the car which was pretty much interstate to get a pen! TFTC!
Found and logged this cache in 2016 Aussie trip and just realised it was not registered.
I remember The wild flowers were wonderful displayed across the landscape
We camped near the cache snd we left stats to shine over the magical scene
Hope many other people enjoy their adventure to Haddens Corner

We've been wanting to drive the Strzelecki Track for a long time so a window of opportunity came up and we were out the gate!! We travelled up the Birdsville Track and down from Innamincka. Had a great time caching and admiring many views of the outback. The only casualty was the windscreen which had a close encounter with a rock on day 3. Got told in Birdsville that it wasn't bad enough to freight another up. Luckily it made it all the way home with the help of duct tape. We found some great views and historical places thanks to geocaching.

The original trip was a loop with one corner. The final trip became a loop with 3 corners. This was the first corner of the trip. TFTC
Happened to be driving past so grabbed a couple of caches while in the area. TFTC.
Easy find, our third corner that we have travelled to in 3 years! Only one other group out here today. On route to Coongie lakes. TFTC!!!
On the way to the Big Red Bash I decided to garb a few on the way. A nice little walk from the corner.

This is our first corner find. What an adventure. We are travelling with FelixII to Birdsville and the Big Red Bash. So a detour was made to visit Haddon’s Corner. We have just loved the outback scenery on our journey. The vastness is breathtaking. Thanks for the cache and giving us an extra reason to visit this unique place
We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Heading to Birdsville for 2018 Big Red Bash with El_Peregrinos, we unhitched and left our caravans at the turnoff before continuing down to visit this great historic spot. Nice to have this one off the bucket list.
Lovely warmish days, and freezing nights, but what about those FLIES!
Took quite a few pictures before continuing our journey.

Great to finally get to Haddons Corner - its been on my bucket list for a while. Just Surveyor-General’s Corner to go! Thanks Ian Mac for the cache.
The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 4. Having spent a quiet night in Eromanga, I headed west again, after a detour to Quilpie for Fuel. Windorah for lunch and onwards towards Birdsville, stopping for the night at a deserted Haddons Corner.
I was almost carried to the cache by flies, but the current cache is fresh and in good condition.
Thanks.

Found at 11.00am whilst touring the area.A beautiful and remote place. We had no problems negotiating the 2 sand dunes within 1km of cache, even towing a caravan. There is a bypass track on the larger dune, didn't use it though. A great spot for a cache. Thanks K&M
On a very special road trip to celebrate Gonefishen07 Birthday at the Birdsville races along with Hearse068 and THTSGLD.
After much searching and deliberating it was decided to place a replacement. It would be such a shame to lose one from this wonderful historic area.
Thanks Ian Mac for placing a cache here and gets a favourite point from me

Found while on a girls road trip that consisted of Hearse068, BorisB&Natasha and THTSGLD. Like the previous looker we spent sometime looking after 20 mins of the 4 of us looking we decided that it must have been taken. We as a group decided to replace this cache with a Preform attached to bush at GZ to stop animals taking it. Will send you some photos of cache and placement. Hope that is ok with CO if not you may delete our logs. After my second visit here I don't think I will ever get the chance to come back here. So that is why we replaced it. TFTC Fav point added
Found with GF07, H068 and BB&N. Heading home after an awesome time at the Birdsville Races to celebrate GF07's 50th birthday. Good times. TFTC.
Three of us searched for about 20 minutes each, but without success [B)].
Read the logs overnight and 2 of us came back next morning for ½ hour each, but still couldn't locate the cache .
Too good for us . We'll keep watch to see how others get along .
Very interesting to read that this corner floods .
Thanks for getting us to look Ian Mac.

Tagging along with the "Rats" on holidays has it's advantages, not only do we get to see our cool country but we also get to do a heap of caching as Dad just can't help himself and has to stop at every cache he can.
Heading across Australia on nearly every dirt road possible we stopped and found your cache as part of our adventure and for that, I thank you! Sorry about the log being a "cut n paste" but tthats just because we stopped at so many caches.

The Rats and mini rats found this cache as part of our Purposeful Meander across Oz where we visited every mainland state in 8 weeks.
Apologises for the late log in some cases but we are only just catching up on our logging now that we have arrived back home. Your cache makes up many of the great memories we now have from the adventure. The faceplate style log doesn't detract from the experience we had finding the cache.
Thanks

Found from our very quiet overnight camp spot. Off to the Dig Tree tomorrow. Cache all good. Thank you lan Mac
Today we did a loop around this area camping at Cadelga Ruins and then heading off to Haddons Corner. A 700Km trip over the 2 days, fantastic views and amazing journey!!

The SA_ParrotHead team are heading to Haddons Corner via the Strzelecki track the home via the Birdsville Track.
This is the last corner post I have to find and has been on my bucket list for a long time.
I went to Poeppel and Cameron Corners with Beakers Bunch & Mogni and Surveyor Generals with Nibs, Burtons and Young Einstein.
Mrs Parrot is coming with me this time to complete the set.
I have search all corners of the SA state for this holey Grail. I now have the set.
My final corner and this is one very happy Parrot.
Thank you for having a cache here for me to record this.

Just a note, the dunes were ok to drive over with a van as there is a 2nd track off to the North on the 1st dune you come too. Sorry Team Thommo

I'm not a dishonest person and I know I would only be cheating myself but I have to admit there was a strong urge to log this as found. So bloody close but no cigar. Corner country was high on my bucket list and as a new Cacher it tied in really well with this years family trip to Birdsville. After getting to Cameron Corner yesterday and realising we could save a day on our tight schedule and make it to Inaminnka before sun down we busted the cap on our water tank in our van. We made it to Dig tree last night and nearly got blown away with the over night wind. Today we had a free camp night planned halfway to Birdsville, hubby who is sick of the Gibba Ginbas wanted to go the other side through Cordillo Downs ( I must admit I would have liked to see the shearing shed) but i insisted we should go this side to Haddon corner - so we got to the 15km sign and off we set. We had heard mixed reports about the road - we got to the Dunes and hubby as me to check how soft it was as he didn't feel like dropping tyre pressure on the car and can like a good Navvy I jumped out and took a look - whilst walking up the side he and the kids drove up - The Landcruiser did it with ease - I was stoked (soon to be short lived jubilation) he stopped at the top and we assed the other side - quiet sandy and soft - we would get down but would we get back up with the van on and high tyre pressure? He was just about to say we will dump the van off and to the last little bit to the corner and then a big bunch of loose wires caught our eye under the vans axel. Sure enough after further inspection the electric brakes had been ripped out. God damn bloody rocks! The decision of backing down and making Birdsville today has been made for us. I looked in the direction of GZ whimpered and like a good navvy/wife jumped back into my seat and set off. We passed a car a few km down the road I must admit I though hmm wonder would the give me a lift to GZ and would my family wait for me here? Of course I couldn't do that! Luckily the van still handled quiet well and we have made it to Birdsville. TFTC a proud DNF for this one I doubt I'll ever be back I'll have to get someone to sign it for me! Cheers from TeamThommo
Enjoying this great outback adventure on way to Fliders Ranges via Strzlecki track. Wont be back this way in a while I reckon & would u beleive that my GPS wouldnt work at this critical point. Lookaed in all the usual places but no luck. Uploaded a pic of proof of visit. Hope you allow this as a find. Cheers R
What great people the early surveyors were (coming from a current surveyor!). Hard to imagine how difficult there early exploits were. TFTC
Found with Lodessa following earlier Poeppel Corner find, so both ends of the Pieppel Line. TFTC
A rugged and exciting run across the French Line from Dalhousie. We were astounded by the sheer effort the early explorers and surveyors took in mapping a rugged and unforgiving country.
Cheers and thanks for the cache

On the Great Endeavour Rally with Swellerfungus, There is no better way to spend a week. Lots of people in the area, however we were able to grab the cache, sign out of the checkpoint and keep going on the rally.
I am taking part in the 27th Annual Great Endeavour Rally with two mates, one of who is a fellow geocacher and part of the KJTJMJ team, in a 24 year old EA Falcon. We are travelling from Brisbane to Warwick, Noccundra, Cameron Corner, Haddons Corner, and back to Brisbane via Bundaberg. This have me a chance to get some caches along the way!
Today saw us at our second corner today after leaving Cameron Corner this morning. A long drive with some very enjoyable and challenging rallying!
After placing the car for the obligatory photo shot we headed off for the cache. Fortunately the rally checkpoint was not too close so we could remain covert. Cache found soon enough. Signed log and left pathtag.
All in good condition with the cache and contents . Thanks for placing one in such a great location. I think the terrain level could be increased a tad given how remote this place is! Great spot though!

Bean here before but didn't find the cache that time but we found it this time. This is our 2 nd attempt to get out to this location this trip . Out of cordillo Downs station the spring on the Trak Shak failed so a bush repair was made using the 1/4 of the spring we had left and a block of wood and then limped into Birdsville so parts can be ordered. We are stuck there for a week with parts on its way the last one they had in stock .
Found no worries after driving up from Cullyamurra, road in excellent conditon. Thx Mac & Missus for the cache. Only surveyor General's corner to go to complete the corners.
Found by Mrs MATSTA while he fixed the camper brakes and water tank outlet. Camped the night. Nice and quiet!!!

Stayed here the night after arriving after dark. The cache was easy to find once the sun came up. What a wonderful place, in the middle of no-where.
Oh, the tings we do for geocaching. My son Jeremy and I were visiting my parents in Maryborough QLD from Sydney. We opted for the scenic route via Broken Hill, Cameron Corner, Innamincka, Augathella and then to Maryborough. Haddon Corner was not too far out of the way, and had a cache, so off we went. Came up the Arrabury road, and exited via Windorah. The Corner itself is a very out of the way place, but great to have gone there.
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache Mac & Missus!
best wishes,
Wal & Jeremy

Almost a drive by on the cache find for us today as we didn't want to exit the aircon of the car until the last second. We were on our way to work near Windorah and this was only a few km's off the track.
