In town with CaptainVimes for a work event (hers, not mine) and to find a few caches. Quickly located after spotted the object of the hint. Thanks for the cache Freddo
Have been sitting in a set of coords fifties cache for so long and never hit around to lookingTonight the CO happened to be holding a World Frog Day event a mere 7m from my final, so the opportunity presented itself for a look..and found in the first place I looked TFTC
Find # 11924On a brief work trip from the National Capital to Adelaide and I have a list of caches to collect in very little time Couldnt believe my luck to land this trip so soon after the MEGA so I can collect even more counties and add even more variety to my stats Picked up the trusty hire car on arrival and off I go. Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few hours of caching fun after work each day. All caches expertly located, retrieved, signed, and replaced. Only one cache guardian on guard here today. Sadly the second guardian has been relocated and only residual evidence of its visible. Thanks Freddo for Garcon? Pourquoi est la grenouille en mon souffl!
Literally two hops and we were on it a bonus cache on World Frog Day !Nous, les escargots, devrions avoir peur d'un lzard mais pas de celui-ci Merci Pour La Cache (MPLC) Freddo & Cheers Paul & Fab'
I was once on a cruise and escargot ?? was on the menu so I decided to give it a go. Lets face it, you shouldnt knock something until you try it. Well all I can say is, Freddo, you have nothing to worry about. I will not be eating anymore of your family members!Carpooled with doineedthis to attend the nearby event and hopped over to sign the logbook that magically appeared ??TFTC FreddoKeep smiling ??
Boy? Why is the frog in my souffl!
Day 11 of our Great Leap Forward leap year Mega trip of 2024. Caching today with Albida33, Joolay, Kittykatch, isopeda ,Barb2e, and GLISS! Signed as SALI-24 South Australia Leap Invasion. Always wonderful to be travelling across the country enjoying the amazing scenery and caching along the way. Main focus for this trip has been to tidy up the last couple of counties needed in Victoria and make a serious dent in the South Australian ones. Plus a few days in Adelaide enjoying the mega fun. A hot dry trip this time around. You can definitely feel the suns bite. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches so we can enjoy the game.

Adelaide Leap Day trip. Day 5. Things are getting under way for the Leap day activities. I am seeing more and more logging by interstate visitors. Today started with a breakfast event in Norwood at a very early time. I was surprised by the numbers who came along. I then took a bit of time to visit some caches in the area before moving on to two other caches I failed to locate on previous visits, but which I gained a hint at todays event. I was very happy to meet up with Domsky at the Turtle cache where we combined skills and finally located the cache. This is a cache that has taken me a few goes to get sorted out. In December I had my first real look for it and did not pay enough attention to some areas apparently. I asked for a hint this morning and was given some important guidance. Even then, things were very well hidden, and I did not see the spot when going one way, but did from the other end. Thanks for the cache Freddo45584.7 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & June 2020 Stay on the Path A#417**Albida**
Well that was an interesting way to get info for a cache coordinate. Funny.Nice cache hide too.TFTC
Caching karma in action here. I helped James0116 with a Freddo cache that he was struggling with, and in return he has helped me out here. Not only did he save me the terror of having to actually go inside Burnside Village Shopping Centre, but also from having to learn any more French than the ten words I still remember from primary school, although now its eleven because grenouille keeps cropping up. Having a previous finder on site sure cuts down the find time. Thanks for this multi Freddo and bonne anne to you.
Great hide!! Was great to find a cache that has been placed almost 20 years ago!TFTM!
This one took us much longer than it should have as we were looking where the terrain rating suggested. Once we widened the search area, the find was quickly made. Thanks for bringing us to this interesting location with the placement of this cache.
Once we worked out what we needed we set about searching. When we eventually made the find, we realised that this was an old cache and so the D/T didn't match what we would use today. Thanks for placing this cache and bringing us here.
I looked in a few spots but came up empty. Upped the terrain rating and found it neatly tucked away
Spent a week in Adelaide. Thanks to all the Cache Owners for their contributions to this recreational activity.
It took me a little while to locate the hide at GZ. I circled the area a handful of times until I stopped and noticed an obvious hiding spot. It was then that I realised I could have found it straight away if I had circled in the opposite direction. Helpful hint. Thanks Freddo!

After an early morning event I thought I would head into Freddo territory and find a couple of caches that had been solved, a new trad and a multi that I couldn't find last time I looked. [^]
I have had the final of this one for ages and the first time I looked I couldn't find it, because I was looking in all the wrong places...duh.
Today after translating the hint it all made sense and soon after arriving at GZ I had found the cache and stamped the log. Great to get that one done.
Thanks for the cache Freddo.

Wow what a great weekend I just had; a very nice weekend trip to Adelaide with the family and I got to meet a few cachers as well. Absolutely enjoyed Adelaide, the walk around town, the people, the laid-back environment, the layout of the area, the friendly cachers and the great caches too.
Day two of my trip and I was allowed to go out on my own for the day and cache away. I set myself a list and I wondered around down towards rundle mall, grabbing adventure labs, earth caches and anything along the way. Some nice hides and some fun ones. Some strange looks from passes by at points but no one stopped me at all. Adelaide is definitely a place I want to come back and visit again.
I got a call from James who asked how I was going and if I would like some company for the day. Why not, and with a drive around town we got in some caches that he also needed for the day. We went up to North Adelaide and the skirted around the parklands of Adelaide. I then was dropped off so as I could make my dinner appointment with the family. Thanks for the great afternoon James.
This was our next cache. A nice puzzle and one that took a while to collect info on, I finally got the checker to agree and today to collect. With the log signed and cache replaced as found, we were then off to grab another in the area. Thanks for placing it here and the continuing maintenance.

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Started this multi yesterday while B was at an appointment nearby and I had some time to kill. Finished part one quickly and was about to head to GZ but got the message that I was required back at the specialists room. So the find would have to wait.
This afternoon was grandkid collection time and it was close enough to GZ to make a detour. Parked nearby and wandered over to GZ, or near enough given some logs indicated the calcs were a little out. As I neared GZ I spotted something worthwhile investigating, and that I vestigation revealed the cache. Stamped the log and then replaced as found. A great finish to the day.

What a great lot of fun finding this . Our first find and a great way to exercise. Lots of husband and wife interaction on following and interpreting the lat longs.
Took us a while to see it but finally got there.

First location was easily spotted after delving into the depths of my childhood memory. The find at GZ itself was a little harder and required the extra step of 15 minutes of us getting over our feelings of self consciousness that were holding us back from searching properly. Soon after though, the cache was quickly found by JJ after a recheck of the first location we had looked. TFTC! Sabo + JJ second names in the new log!
I think this was the second time in my life I have been in this shopping center. I found the cute clue and after gathering wp1 of M-SEZ cache I drove to GZ. Coords a bit off but no big deal as the target was easily spotted. Took two attempts to get my hand on the cache. Empty book, gotta love that. Thanks for the cache lizard Freddo
Found it! Log book was drenched and the zip lock bag was full of water... cleaQ
ed it up slightly, but didnt have a replacement for the log. Still signed it though. TFTC

Merci Cher Freddo. I had been sitting on the coordinates for this one for some time. Today, I returned to make the find fairly quickly.
So initially I was thwarted by a big steel gate barring access to the shopping centre, had forgotten the silly trading hours in this state. I remember another time this happened and I attended an event in the car park here. So onto plan B. Once that was accomplished back to the gates which eventually opened.
Then wandered around wondering where the dastardly frog could have hidden the coordinates. Would have been much easier if I had just read the instructions on the cache page where the instructions were spelled out in plain English.
The frog-let was found (did you really bring a number stamp into the shopping centre and graffiti a frog?!!), quick calculations done and back over that road for the 3rd time today.
At GZ (very quiet today) I once again had to attempt to think like Freddo and suddenly an aha moment, cache discovered, log signed and the cache replaced.
Garcon? Pourquoi est la grenouille en mon souffle indeed??!

With a few minutes up my sleeve, I mosied on over to WP1 to see if the final was close enough for a look before din-dins. Once I'd found what I was looking for, I keyed in the coordinates for GZ and decided that it *was* close enough (despite being in the wrong direction (well, sometimes you just simply have to remember Gordon Gekko's motto )).
After a short stroll to my calculated GZ, it wasn't long before I had the stash in hand at 18:10 and I was back on the way to exercise the other type of greed.
TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Freddo.

This was the talk the other day and not being able to find the first waypoint the clue was given, at GZ today and I had to pull out the wildcard and use a PAF, oh well know thats sneaky I like it, I like it very much.

Lots of different boxes to fill in in SA...a top priority is filling in Hidden Months and this one filled a spot for the Eskies. A little circling before Kestal spotted the hide as the sun was on the rise. TFTC Freddo.
After quiet a bit of planning over the last month or two our list began to take shape. On the second we headed towards Victor Harbor after grabbing a few caches around the suburbs. This was find number 17 for this trip and after a little walk around GZ we spotted what we came for. TFTC Freddo
Chooo ooo - found!
I remember trying this one last year... But GZ was in the opposite direction that I needed to walk - and it was very hot! So I left it. This year I had the car. And after confirmation by the CO that I was in the right spot - I made a quick find! Thanks Freddo!

After a previous visit with a DNF, and recent loggers commenting with a necessary comment from the CO, I too then relegated to asking for a nudge from the CO. We actually checked these animals in detail during our first visit, with no luck, but quite impressed to see the cache location. It's almost like they did build this on purpose for this reason, as Freddo mentioned to me haha.
Don't know how you manage to find these hidden locations, but nice work. Did find this to be roughly 10 m away from where GZ wanted me. Cheers and a FP for this cool location. All the while people in the building next door staring out...

I did the first part of this one quite some time back, but it was never quiet enough at GZ to do the second part when I had the inclination.
Today looked perfect. I was in the area to attend a nearby event and almost no-one was around. After searching for a while I was joined by spinmistress and Muff1 (who had found it before), but between us we just couldn't locate it.
A discussion with the CO at the event prompted me to return later for another look and I soon had the elusive container in hand.
Thanks Freddo for the cache.

A visit to this one this morning left me wondering. Then when I caught up with Freddo at this mornings event it all became clear. Thank you for the hints. Revisited this afternoon and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC.
Awwww.... throwing in a few french expletives here. I tried everything at what I thought was GZ, maybe I transposed something or was just having a 'boys look'. Glad to read I havent been the only one. 2 x PAF and loads of hints.... NUP.
Was very keen to make this multi my Freddo #101 smiley, but it wasnt to be today, despite the windows being free of workers. Lots of locals trotting past, they would have been laughing at me, my monkey and my coffee, bum up doing some gardening and with my head in...... well you get the drift. Another public holiday maybe....

found with rod81w and getnict. Found wp1 months and months ago while clearing out this area while on a streak but due to muggles smoking near gz never got to look for it. Figured I just come back at night. We all looking around for it and getnict found it finally. I looked there before but I guess you needed a bright torch not a phone torch.
An animal has decided that it needed a little dinner and has chewed a hole in the lid of the container
We looked and looked but as we had an event to head to nearby we probably spent more time checking the sundial instead really looking.
After the event we headed back and this time with a little bit more concentration and approaching from a slightly different direction we saw something that gave us the 'aha' moment. This was good and the cache was soon retrieved from it's hidey spot. SL TFTC

Enjoyed this petite multi despite no find.... Lots of Grenouilles et lézards at both locales but sadly nothing for me to seal the deal today. Thanks anyways.
Solved the puzzle, but couldn't find the final cache unfortunately. Hopefully it's not in the bushes as they aren't much fun to find.
The first part was found a few years ago but I couldn't locate the cache. Today Hill2Sea and I tacked the cache and it was found eventually, under the guise of photography and drinking coffee by GZ. I had fun doing this one, thanks so much for the cache!
A simple multi they said. Well the first step was okay but the find at the final location was less so.
Why is it that I don't think I have ever had to PAF at a 5/5 GZ but this is the third time (at least) I have had to seek help on a 1/1?
Perhaps my brain is too highly tuned?
Although I am sure Janet would say I have perfected the art of the "boy look".
Anyway our name is finally in the book and another missing month has been added to our Jasmer grid.

After attending Freddy's event nearby, this was a 'compulsory' find.
Quite straightforward.
I love the petite grenouille at WP1. And the other thing at GZ.
I thought "This'll be easy on a Saturday being December 31" but there were watchers but I employed the "Don't try to look suspicious, just blatantly find it" method and I don't think anyone really took too much notice.
Freddo est la grenouille du chocolat.

An easy little multi while exploring Burnside with Clare007. The people in the windows were too busy in their own work to notice us today. TFTC
I collected the info while shopping nearby and then wandered off to log the find. Thanks Freddo.
We saw this multi near the year end event, and thought to check it out. Husband opened up the page and was like, what's all this? Well, after some google translate, we still don't know what this is about. Some pictures helped give us some directions though...
Today, while on the way to the event, we saw some "grenouille". That must be it! But which one? So many are hopping about. After we had our go at Freddo (lots of questions about his cache and some others), we went around searching for frogs. It's not easy to get close to them, when so many children were frolicking near the frogs. We got the number, and moved on.
At GZ, cords didn't help quite as much as geo sense. Found the cache, signed log, and put back. Still don't know the reference of frog in toilet though.
Thanks for the cache, Freddo!

First deciphered the co-ordinates a long time ago but didn't find the required amphibian at GZ. Was discussing this cache with Dr Owl as she drove past for future exploring but NOOOOO she had other ideas. A quick turn left, passenger (me) near miss on whiplash and she parked the car and insisted on no time like the present! So as it was very quiet day and no one around we walked along the wall, perched and made the find. Job done. Thanx
C'est Magnifique!
That's it no more French.
Di and I , along with two with of her girl friends , went to mutual friends book launch in the old Z Ward at Glenside.
After we went to the Village for lunch and as she had shopping companions I was left to read the paper until they had finished.
I settled down next to this nice fountain and thought I should check C:Geo to see if there were any caches nearby.
Well I was practically sitting on top of it.
Arrived at waypoint two to find that I was not alone, well they were behind glass, so I just made out I was interested in the trees, flowers, butterflys, mosquitoes, anything and soon found something that was out of place.
Filled in a little time and did not have to go through the," That's nice dear " and "no it makes your bum look too big".
I lie, I am not game to say that.

Always wonder why brisal5's GPSr sends us off on wild goose chases while in somewhat public places. Loved the final after brisal5 led us Australiana, luckily mostly in the bushes until the real hiding spot was found by mogni. Next time I am bringing my GPS.... Thanks for the souffle, very nice,
With mogni in town for Pedal Prix weekend, Aussie M&M and I caught up with her and set off to do some caching before the big event.
I had got the elusive first part of this multi whilst visiting the dentist some time ago. I had walked to GZ but thought I was too exposed for a day time find. . mogni however is not so shy and boldly walked around the structures at GZ despite there being people seated by the windows behind. Pretty soon she was seated and ferreting out the cache. Thanks Freddo for the hide.

Oh my god it is freakin hard to navigate with two geo cousins in the back seat screaming for water and food to add to the fact they are both under 3 in age!
Found the magic little frog yesterday while little two year old Olivia carried on in the background delighting in the wonders of plastic balls and water ( how funny little people are though we were all like that one day! )
So with the magical number in hand we set off with absolutely no idea whatsoever where we were supposed to go!
( ooh I regret that decision so much now! )
So with not much time left we have it a miss!
But the next day we returned hanham36 two babies and me the perfect geocaching Combo ( not! ) so this with a general idea of were we were supposed to go we got close and this time all of us even seven month old margot knew we were there and soon after some searching the cache was found and soon was signed and replaced!
Thanks Hanhan36 for being able to speak French which enormously contributed to being able to find this cache!
A huge TFTC on behalf of hanhan36 and me for this wonderful adventure and a amazing cache!

Found with 2011*turtle. We loved the placement of the required information, but when we went to the coordinates even though we could see where the cache would be it was impossible to retrieve without being seen. Returned a few days later in the evening and had no problems. TFTC
I can't speak French but I got by anyway. Freddo, I see you have been tampering with little frogs you naughty amphibian. Nice locations as this is the first time that I have ever gone into Burnside Village.
Second location is great and I was slightly terrified to retrieve the cache in broad daylight, mid-week.
Anyway mission accomplished, enjoyed the adventure and favourite point given. Thanks Freddo, you cheeky frog.

We were in the area for a hot chocolate at a nearby cafe when we decided to tackle this cache. The geokids had fun at WP1 where geo-son got himself a little wet so we found the magic number and moved off quickly. At the final our gps had us diving around in the bushes. We almost gave up when a likely hidey hole was searched about 10m away. Cache found! After a DNF earlier in in the day it was nice to get one on the board today. Thanks for the cache.

Zut alors!! Je ne lis pas le français! Je ne parle pas français! Je ne comprends pas!
MM+2 eventually decided to visit the listed coordinates. This despite the fact we feel compelled to boycott this establishment because of their support for the cruel and heartless torture of poor defenseless gum trees. Seems the guillotine would have been more humane than the equivalent of water-boarding this this plant got. But I digress......
We found the species of frog we were after. An interesting specimen - seems to have mutated from a tree frog I assume. Then the required number insertions were done and we were off to GZ. Had a look for a while but couldn't quite work out what we were looking for and left empty handed. Back again today and the GPSr took me back to a familiar spot, then I spotted it! Suis-je aveugle? Zut alors!! There were some "viewers" in place, but they weren't interested in someone wandering about talking on the phone, so I was able to sign and replace with no difficulty. As the previous finder said, cache is damp, but log is fine. Merci Freddo, merci beaucoup!

Had a go at this one more than a year ago (way before the unfortunate death of a certain tree) but was thwarted by muggles staring through windows. Today (a public holiday) was the first real chance to explore the GZ. I was pretty certain where it was and found in the first place I looked. The container was full of water but the plastic bag kept the log book dry. Thanks Freddo.
