Not living nearby and the cache has gone missing a couple of times now so best off remove the cache.
I think this needs to be offline for a while until I can get there and check whats wrong. Don't forget 6th June - the next ransit 8.30 am, hope its a nice day...
Had a tiny problem working out the coordinates for this one - just as we arrived at the plaque, a couple of kids started climbing over it. We politely asked their mother if we could photograph the plaque & she obligingly removed her offspring for a few minutes .
Sat down nearby & used the photo to get the information needed & work out where I needed to go. Found a likely looking spot & had a look, no cache.
Bikerbuddy had found this cache on a previous visit to Goulburn, and when I didn't find the container, he had a look in the spot I'd just checked. He confirmed that I had the spot where he had found the cache in January 2011 and that it was no longer there. Unless the hide has changed in that time, this one looks to be gone & should be checked out.
Thanks anyway SWAGgers, it was a nice park, the Transit is a fascinating subject & we had a good lunch nearby .

Worked out the co-ords fine - checked everything made of metal. I'm not sure the cache is still there - any one able to give a second opinion?
Found WP1 and worked out the coords for GZ but found muggles right where I think I needed to be.
We decided to give our new caravan a test run this weekend by taking a short trip to Goulburn, doing some caching as well of course. We got to WP1 and found the required information and worked out the final co-ordinates. We headed to where they were and found the place that matched the hint. We looked everywhere and came away empty handed. We came back later in the evening to have another look but there were muggles seated near GZ. When we drove out the next morning, the same muggles were still there - let's hope they aren't cache thieves!
Could not find this one today...either well hidden or not there! Shall try again another day.
#245 found in a wonderful park that has been visited on numerous occasions before today this was a common stop off point for the convinces in the area. What a great little multi on this day 50 of my caching odyssey and day 19 of a multi a day for 30 day challenge.
The arrival at WP1 coincided with the arrival of a couple of local kids and they soon went about there fun and games whilst I gathered the necessary information and did the sums. Once the sums were entered and the GZ coordinates it was off for the walk. Arriving at GZ noticed a number of people using the location to shelter from the damp weather we were experiencing today so walked around and noticed the obvious GZ hiding spot. Without checking the GPS I soon had the cache in hand and was trying to sign the log but alas it was too wet and could not even get an impression of the pen on the log.
So soggy wet log returned to container and the cache returned to the hiding spot and another success recorded.
Thanks SWAGgers for the great location.

At first when i got to the waypoint, i was lookoing at the plaque on the top and had no idea what to do. when i relized how blind i was not to see the other plaque, i quickly solved the little puzzle and was on my way. (you might need to change the clue for the second waypiont soon!)started on my way and the gps was seeming to lead me out of the park. i didn't want to leave the park since i was on a strick schedule, so looked for things that fitted the clue thinking that my calculations were wrong. searched here and then looked to another part of the park and saw another thing that fitted to the clue even better! found the cache with a very wet log but fight on the correct co-ords! (dont you just love that feeling when the co-ords are bang on!)TFTC!!! love this park been here heaps of times on the way to melbourne!
Interesting short multi. Due to the presence of two `tortolinos'
we had to come back an hour later to pick up the cache. Log is
totally wet and needs to be replaced.

Arrived here early to avoid muggles, the park is beautiful and always full of people, great to see people getting out and about enjoying themselves, however not when I have a task to do ! So early call paid of, did duties and signed a very soaked log. Need a replacement.. TFTC
Found on my way to Sydney for the MCBC raid. Loved doing this cache, great spot, I loved the conservatory. I now know more about Venus. TFTC
Passed though Goulburn many times, but never taken the time to stroll around this lovely park. Lots of families enjoying some lovely spring weather. The gardens are beautiful. TFTC SL
Ahhh, a multi for change. Collected in info in some rain and then returned to the car for the calculations. Then I had to go out in the rain again because I had written down the wrong interval. That corrected it was a matter of moving the car a short way and making an easy find. Enjoyed connecting with this event which ended up with the discovery of Australia and finished with a nasty final meal for our Captain.
Thanks SWAGgers.
Thanks SWAGgers.
Found after lunch on a ride to Goulburn for the day. A nice little multi that stretched out legs! Thanks..
Did this cache with fellow cacher have not done one of these before it was fun working out clues and following them great fun TFTC.
I found this cache a while ago but for some reason has not come up on my log as found. It maybe be because I used my iphone app to find and log.
Thanks cool-rose.

I know where it is but... the spot was occupied by some muggles keeping out of the wind on a cold day. Next time!
Found during a caching raid in Goulburn with StumbleTrip and Red_V. Great little park. Large amount of muggles running around due to a Fire Rescue NSW and RFS information day. But we managed.
Found with Edge Creeper. Lots of muggles around but used my stealth fast ninja moves to quickly retrieve from GZ, log and return it without being spotted lol.
Manage to do a few while in the area. Great little park in the centre of town.
2nd find of the day with the kids in tow. Had a great time in the park while working it out. TFTC
Time for another short break, this time on the way back from the snow. Navigated to the start with an iPhone, having left the GPS in the car, and took a photo of the plaque expecting that I would hunt this one down on another trip, after I'd done the maths. The hint was all I needed, however, to identify the likely resting place of my 50th find. Thanks for the cache and the history lessons.
This is the 1020th cache find for WazzaAndWenches and the 16th for today.
After a few days of holidays with the Wench and the Wenchette I think I have earned a break away on my own. Of course I'll have to look for a few caches along the way
This is the third time I've been to this cache and the first time I've been able to search without muggles sitting very close to GZ.
Finally I had a chance. 8pm on a Friday night. Dark and quite cold. Not a sole in sight and plenty of time to retrieve the cache, sign the log, and return the cache to its hiding place.
Thanks SWAGgers

Plenty of mothers and children playing in the park today, collected the information required and made the calculations for GZ. Arriving at GZ two muggles were sitting within 2 metres, so off I went for a walk down the main street, bought some lunch and headed back. Upon arrival again the muggles were still there, about an hour had passed by now surely they would leave. I sat and ate lunch and had almost decided to leave and try again in two weeks on my return trip when the muggles up and left. A small window of opportunity opened up so I took it and made the find. TFTC
Thanks for the interesting info and fun park to visit! Waited until teenage muggles left before retrieving cache. SL TFTC!
Nice cache in a lovely part of town. Educational for the kids and me. Met a cacher from Wagga I think, Frogger??? Sorry been too long since the find. TFTC
Rplaced the container with a new one. Hopefully this will be a waterproof enough. Thanks for all the finds. Cheers
Hi there guys
the log is mouldy and wet
the cache is getting wet where it is and is not water tight.
needs some work
people can still log their find but its pointless putting a new log in because its only going to get wet again otherwise i would have done a bit of maintenance myself whilst i was there.
cheers

From the clues we quickly found the cache.

Its a beautiful well used little park.

Thanks I will be down that way next weekend and have a new continer ready to go. Sorry for the untydiness.
We first tried this one en route from Albury about a month ago. We made bad calculations and missed the cache. This time our calculations were still pointing us a bit away from GZ but we found it this time. The geodog had a wonderful time playing with a beagle.

Nice and easy Multicache for our first attempt at a multi.
Kind have worked out the location of GZ before tackling Cache, but WP1 was an interesting read.

Had to deploy a child cacher within our travelling party to retrieve this one.
There were a few muggles in the area, but who would notice a child "fidgetting" at ankle height - right?!

Thanks SWAGgers for the great little multi cache in the middle of an enjoyable park to have a walk in. TFTC
We set ourselves a goal to get all the caches in Goulburn on our way through to Canberra, and we almost did it. This was the only multi in Goulburn, so we were glad to get it. A nice easy find and a pleasant park. Didn't know this history. Thanks
A simple multi in a park I've been to many times over the years. Some older people were nearby but were none the wiser that we had retrieved the cache, signed and returned it. TFTC
Looked yesterday but there were 20 lovely local youths sitting close on GZ. Maybe another year.

Your clues are a bit to obvious and I instantly
knew where it was without doing the first part.
Thanks though, easy cache.

I enjoyed the brain teaser at the first clue but knowing the second clue, it is blatantly obvious where to find it without the need for WP1.
A very tricky cache to get your hands on as people were everywhere. I had to sit down for some time in the area before getting to it.
I recommend a night mission for this one.

Found it after a bit of difficulty Due to a piece of gum left in it it was covered in ants and what seemed to be mold. Left daffodil chain and took nothing. Also wrote name on own piece of paper as the one supplied wasn't usable. Great place
Third find.... after the bike pedal ate Lion's leg (ouch) [B)]

Stuck in Goulburn for a day. What better way to spend it than caching. TFTC.

Passing through this park on the way back from the Victorian trip I knew I had this one to do. Having stopped here every year since childhood for a toilet break and a Bryant's pie I'd worked this one out in advance, knowing we'd stop here. Of course on arrival I couldn't find the coords I had so took a punt and found the cache in seconds. A slight cheat but not so bad as I'd done the homework. Signed and replaced despite muggles. Thanks!
Found on our second attempt. Like others have logged our first attempt was prevented by muggles.
But this time muggle free - well almost.
Thanks for the challenge.

Had to go and have a coffee man was sitting where the plaque was came back and success TFTC
Once I found my way to GZ the first time, there was someone sitting right next to it. This was also the case for the 2nd attempt, and the 3rd. I live in Wollongong, and I don't drive by this often, but it took me over a year to finally sign my name in this log as the 4th time, there wasn't a muggle in sight.
Thank god.

Nice wander early this morning for this one, but not early enough - we spotted other cacher foot prints in the dew!!!
It was chilly, but the wallk around the park warmed us up.

Wasn't sure how i'd go with this Multi being around 2am and less than 5 degrees, i'm so glad we solved it quickly and actually got it right first go lol, TFTC.
Yay. The muggles there sure made it interesting. Definatley had to use stealth mode for this one. Especially when there are muggles sitting next to cache eating lunch.Great fun!! TFTC
Visited for some maintenance, renewed the container - just like a Scotsman's kilt, all in perfect working order.
Sorry about the condition of the micro cache, I will make sure I repair things at Easter time, so in the mean time please be patient and disregard the log. Cheers
Found by allrounder with Bevejo and I looking on. There was no top to the container and so I sacrificed a youth beyond blue wristband to keep the paper in there. Maintenance visit required! Good coordinates - spot on in fact. TFTC.
Found this one with Fore! and allrounder after a round of golf at the local course.
GZ was quickly sorted out and we were on our way. Spotted by allrounder very quickly. Needs a bit of maintenance.

Only contained a scrap of paper (no log) and didn't have a lid (which is why the log would be missing!)
Found @ 2:51pm with Fore! and Bevejo after playing pennant golf at Goulburn Golf Club
Calculations were quickly done with a short power walk to the cache. The container is missing its lid and we have no idea how the scrap of paper remained inside!
We added some more paper and secured it inside via a youth beyond blue wristband - this cache is in desperate need of maintenance. Thanks for bringing us to this location.

No 12 today on our Goulburn cache hunt with BLACXV. Took 2 visits for this one, the park was teeming with people during the day. TFTC. TeamAJKW
Black Bunny had already done this one so they provided support for my first attempt at a Multi. Plugged the co-ords into the GPS and off to GZ for a quick grab. The log is full so will need to be replaced. SL TFTC

What a great park. As the GEO kids ran of some engery the math problem was completed. Now armed with the new co'ords we where of for the hunt. At GZ stealth was required at a high degree as there was a group of young muggles near by. but still it was not long before GEO wife had it in hand
Thanks for the hunt

Came through on way to Wollongong on the 4th and collected the gz info, but could not even think of getting near gz!
Today, I got close enough to see where it probably would be, going by the hint. Went for early lunch and another cache I missed on 4th also 'At The Park'. Came back and swooped on the cache.
Only to find it sodden and in serious need of some TLC. Did not have the right replacement sheets, so will log a Maint Required.
Thanks for the cool park, at least gz was not actually on any play equipment, else it would be a dnf today, as the park is overflowing with midget muggles.

After having solved the calculation at WP1, we approached GZ, but had to leave it for later, since a group of teenage girls were sitting chatting away on the exact spot.
Came back later in the evening, and managed to get the place for ourselves a few minutes.
Thew log is wet, and needs replacement.

Very pretty part of goulburn to explore in. Found the first waypoint and the final cache location without issue, although the muggles were a bit inquisitive. GPS had us wandering around for a while until it decided on a reasonable fix.
We had a friend accompany us on the journey, and was very impressed with the train tracks.

Great multi area as I never really had walked through Goulburn before. Got the co-ords really quick and "tied" my shoelaces to get my 15th cache for the day. On the way back to the car had to pop into the local chemist to get hayfever tablets as a day out in the country was taking its toll. TFTC!
Found in company with Royston. Nice little multi and the first for Royston.

A late night grab on this one. Had to be careful of the canoodling muggles. TFTC.
Park was full of muggles today but this did not pose a problem with 3 kids in tow. Cache found quickly log signed and returned.tftc
Just loved this cache. Very educational and interesting and a bit challenging too. Multi-muggles near GZ but managed to swoop in and nab it when no-one was looking. SL TFTC Cheers, Gaztek
I grew up driving with mum and dad from Canberra to Goulburn every other weekend to visit my grandparents. I don't get to Goulburn too often now, but this multi reminded me of the times as a kid playing on the old equipment at Belmore Park. There used to be a slippery dip that I swear was twice as tall as any other one I used to play on.
Anyway, enough reminiscing. Some quick calculations at GZ (interesting info on the plaque too) and a short walk to the cache for a quick find. No muggles on a Tuesday at 11am so no problems there.
Cheers, and TFTC.

This is my first cache. It took a while to find because my GPS decided to take me for a walk around the block before directing me to the cache.
Found at noon. We figured it out about 1 ½ hours earlier but had to come back due to a couple of ladies sitting down. In the end a quick find. TFTC / TFTH / TNSL
Our last cache in the Goulburn township. Have had this one on the radar for months and today decided we'd go for it. Big crowds in the park on an unseasonably warm August day but the area around GZ was deserted so retrieval and replacement went smoothly. TFTC.
Got to waypoint of this one and saw the number of muggles and said oh no how will I get this. Walked straight up to the waypoint and got the information needed with my mum. Went back to the car and worked out gz . A short walk going oh no all these muggles. Got to gz and saw that noone was looking. A quick hand and had the cache in my hands TFTC
Ah, we discovered the trick to this cache - come late in the afternoon when there is a large chill in the air There was one family only braving the cooling day when we wandered through the park and found the cache with no problems. It's interesting to see all the remote places that took part in these sort of events in the past. Thanks for an interesting cache
on previous visits to here there were too many muggles, we stoped on the way home from holidays to give it a go & amazingly there were no muggles in this area of the park. Grabed it quick & went on our way. thanks
Found it at 0930hrs on second try. Too many Muggles on Saturday afternoon for a proper search. TFTC
I had an interesting time looking around this park & taking some photos for possible waymarks, but unfortunately I did not find the cache. I'm pretty sure I was looking in the right spot & could search without being disturbed, so I wonder if the cache has gone walkabout (or I was just blind!). I even wandered back to have another look when I realised I had missed one of the possible hiding spots. Oh well - maybe another day. It sure was cold today - a biting wind!
