As I haven't been able to get back to this cache for a while I thought I'd archive it and make the location available to someone else.

Hadn't been disabled on Friday when I loaded this one to the GPSr

So no we didn't find it either

02-Sep-11
Seems the last few visitors have had no luck. Hope you all enjoyed the views anyway. I'll get back there and check the cache out soon.

01-Sep-11
Spent about 30 minutes looking around with GPSr going all over the place with no success, even in the obvious place. A nice drive with my 4WD. TFTC.

Looked everywhere! Gps says it's in the field but don't assume that's the case....?

**Update 24/04/2011**
With 5 of us looking (Geowife, 3 Geokids & I) we called this a DNF after 5 minutes of searching before heading down the hill to McLaren Vale.
**End Update**

I looked in hollows, I looked in the grass, I looked under logs and in the leaves above....

Sadly no show of the little brown jar but I'll have another go tomorrow morning and see if I have any better luck! I had thought it would be an easy drive by but sadly no cache was to be in hand.

Today we did a huge challange and achieved 178 caches in a 24 hour period starting at gawler on a bicycle at midnight and finishing at the mclaren vale in a car 24 hours later. Sweat, blood and laughter was part and parcel to find a cache every 8 minutes for 24 hours. We found this cache and thankyou for making our challange possible. We were assisted in our challange by emily~angel & dennisC52, Thanks guys you did a fantastic job. We had a ball and were very tired in the end, maybe I'll not cache tommorow hahaha.TFTCSL TNLN you should see our track from the GPS 320km driven in total for the day with 185 caches visited.

28-Dec-10
Find 168 of 178 for the day. Started at Midnight this morning with the Nxy challenge, and continued till midnight tonight in a 24 hour caching hunt with McKee Clan on our bikes, and then joined at 3:30am by Emily~Angel, swapping our bikes for a 4WD, and finishing at Maclaren Vale with 178 finds for the day for McKee Clan and I, and about 120 for Emily~Angel. Had a ball, but was glad to hug the pillow in the end. See the McKee Clan log for more info.

PS: I'm definately not caching tomorrow!! (I'm paving instead...)

Approached from the West and continued onto the 4WD track in my 4X4 making this cache a drive by. Because this cache has not been found since August, the lid sealer had stuck itself onto the jar. I had quite a job to prize it open but eventually got there. Took in the nice views before continuing the final 600m on the 4WD track to Range Rd. TFTC

31-Aug-10
Wink Interesting 'summer road only',
As we searched, a pristine 4wd came by to ask,
"How deep are those holes?"
I hope he made it up the road without getting too dirty,
...but I doubt it!!!
TFTC and the hunt, great views around here.

13-Aug-10

Found this one easily with our 4WD. Such a lovely spot, we took out our chairs and had our picnic lunch admiring the view. We had to position ourselves so that we could view the panoramic scene. Swapped Smokey the Koala with a snake.

It was a lazy Saturday afternoon so I thought I would find some almost local caches.
I was rewarded with a beautiful view just as the sun was setting.
Easy find if the trees do not get in the way of the sky.

6th find of the day and 1866th total find at 11:30.

It's not often that we get to go caching this far from home, but as we are both very fortunate to have a couple of weeks off - - -. By good planning or design this cache was on our list.

Great views, found marker pen near the cache. It wouldn't fit so we took it.

Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing (Screwdriver wouldn't fit)
Thanks Team Spanner for the cache.

Found on our day down south. We came in from Clergyman's Hollow, so did the entire length of the track. No problems for the Prado but may need to come back on a rainy day to check the cache.

Took the safe option with the AWD and walked into this one. An enjoyable stroll too thanks Team Spanner.

Excellent spot, nice easy find. Goe son was learning to drive today. Turned down the bumpy track and followed Rex.
Couple of good puddles right across the track created some concern to a new learning driver.
Found the cach and he even managed a 3 point turn to back after. Beautiful view, I wonder if I could buy a 1/4 acre just there to build a house on. TFC -TN - L Aust. Penny 1962

More like 'look Honey we are about to drive near a cache, can we do a quick detour, pretty please'.

Loved the drive in, not 2WD any more.
Easy find with a big smile from the little Miss.

07-Dec-07
Approached this one from the southern end (top of hill) in my 2wd car and was wondering if I would reach a spot where I couldn't go any further and then I would have to try and back all the way up the hill! But thankfully enough I reached the cache easily, and then kept exploring further down the hill and found the rest of the road was brilliantly refurbished and a easy drive pretty much right up to the cache! Didn't come across any jackass's!
Great views in this region!

Felt like I was in Jackass driving an unruly 2WD station wagon down the summer track, after rain...but the track was in okay nick. Sensational view in the late afternoon and a creatively placed cache. Nice one. Left the swedish chef and took the camel toy. FAnks folks,
Maux Faux and caux.

Cleverly hid cache was found and did our swaps all while enjoying such a wonderful view. Thanks for bringing us to this place. Want to come back when it is greener- maybe we can see the namesakes of this cache- they are just so cute. Smile

Great road in from the top. Muggles in a shinny new 4x4 coming uphill looked like they were going to get it muddy for the first time!

08-Dec-05
Finally managed the time to get to this one whilst out doing 'Grape Day Out'.
Had tried once before from other end of road, not a good idea without a 4x4 geomobile! Road from West is very good, most of the way. Stopped and enjoyed the view, before doing a 15 point turn to go back down the hill!
Left a patch, took a matchbox limo.
Thanks

26-Nov-05
Could have named this cache 'Summer Track Only'. The Cruze didn't have any trouble handling the track, neither did the 'roos we saw. Cache is a little cramped at the moment, but managed to take a soldier and leave a cow finger puppet. Thanks Team Spanner.

14-Sep-05
Easy find with luvery views.
I walked down from the "main" road. In fact I could have driven, it is a very good track certainly not 4WD only when it is dry.

Found by Mary & David at 0930. Great views along a very civilised 4WD track. Rosellas, crows, magpies and sparrows were all on duty but, alas, the jackasses had Sturday morning off. Took parrot finger puppet, left mondo doll. The cache was nice and dry despite all the rain. Our thanks to Team Spanner.

08-May-05
No Jackasses or roos, but the sheep were very talkative. Been here many times before, hopefully the 4wd track will improve during winter Twisted.
Took a frog and left a finger puppet.
Thanks Spanners.
PS Glad you were allowed to do one cache today!

01-May-05
A fairly simple find once I got the GPS out of battery save mode! Nice quiet location with good views, took a Wilpena sew-on badge and left an SES keyring. Then on to tackle the 4WD track to the east. Cheers Team Spanner.

We parked the TeamBaggyGreens 'garbage bin' at the top of the hill - all crammed into the GeoCruiser and headed down the 4WD track.
In the end it was an easy find even though we found a 'decoy' hiding spot first! Smile
We took an eraser and left a stamp.
PS No Jackasses today - just cachers.

25-Mar-05
We had to park the "Wheelie Bin" Rubbish Bin how rude!!...and piled into the Team Langy Geocruiser. An easy find and the great view made it even better. T Erasers & Singapore keyring L Shrek Stamps & Giant Bug.
