I am disabling this until we can confirm that this cache is or is not missing. I am happy for someone to adopt this cache and place it in their obvious spots but until then 198 cachers have found this in its original spot, spikes and all.
We were disappointed not to find this one, especially as we were not continuing up the geocacheing heroes trail. We found all the information and the spikey GZ, so believe we were in the right place but gave up. A further hint is required or place the cache in the obvious place where there is cover but the vegetation is less damaging.
Did the maths twice, as the paperless caching mode does not show carriage returns.
Two answers, one beside the track! Found a spot matching description 14 and 20 metres away.
But without a real hint (ie. beside / behind rock, fenceside, top or GL etc) and several stabs in the belly, decided this was an unfriendly hide. Certainly not a place I would hide a cache.
Struggled to find any other spot to match that might be cache friendly, and with junior muggles nearby we called it quits.
Enjoyed the engine, and the history info. In excellent repair.

Had the wrong numbers at first, didnt think I would have to cross the tracks. Re did the sums and found the spikey hide, a huge lizard scurried away as I signed the log, hope it wasnt a snake, quickest cache replace ever. thanks.
Followed the clues and reckon we found where the cache had been hidden but no luck today.
On a trip to Adelaide we stopped off and found a few caches.
What a great way to spend some lovely October days.
Thanks to everyone who has hidden geocaches for us to find.

Heading out with Aussie M&M for a maintainence run and fill in some gaps on the Wandering Heroes Trail. Stopped for a snack at nearby bakery and sat at the table to work out GZ. Two teams, read the clues several times and still came out with two answers. Walked to the two GZs and no luck at either. Thought about where we would hide a cache and made the find about half way between the two GZs! We did plenty wrong but still get the cache!! Thanks SUEDENHARR for not placing it on the train!
Found on a caching trip with Brisal5.
Nice cache to do whilst we devoured an early lunch. Blood was drawn in making the retrieval, but satisfying none-the-less. TFTC.

Reading through the notes I see a few people have already commented on the spikes. Other then that a fun cache. No Choos though. Tftc tnln

Fabulous series, well done to all involved:
Dunko and I have been watching this series grow for a while, the plan evolved over a meal or two sometime ago. Now to do our massive SA power runs, Dunko flew in, I did the drive over with the push bikes needed for one run. What a huge task loved every tiring moment of it.

Slink1 and I have been watching this series. Now to do our massive SA power runs, I flew in to meet up with Slink1 and he like always was really organised with everything we might need for the task. What a huge task and we loved every tiring moment of it. Thanks to all.
What a Multi to remember. Did the sums, proceeded across the tracks, and then realised we had a problem, came back to find my GPS on the ground, and I hadn't even realised I'd lost it. Then proceeded to GZ, where the cache was extracted by bogonghazy. I enjoyed the Multi, and it's great, but there are so many other places close by that this could be hidden. It really is dangerous.
Found on our way home from SA, thankfully Sully1 and I had time on our return trip to do a few missed multis. The GPS had us crossing the tracks initially because of a glitch, and when we discovered that, we returned to find Sully's GPS on the ground, she hadn't realised she'd lost it....Phew.
Now onto the cache. Those bloody spikes kept jabbing me as i tried to search for the container, please consider moving it. Despite that, it is a great multi, thanks again SUEDENHARR

I love straight forward multi-caches! GZ was a few metres off, but previous logs helped out. Was worried I was going to get scratched up but once I had it located there was little pain
What a great multi, quick find & an awesome places to hang with the kids for a bit
We keep running into old steam loco's on our road trip from Brisbane to Adelaide and here was another fine example.
Collecting the required info was straightforward but finding the treasure made us wonder whether or not we had made a mistake. Our perseverance paid off and we were soon on our way.

My second (or maybe third) go at this one. After midnight so nobody was around to disturb us.
All I can say is OOOOOWWWWWWW... this cache drew blood. I assume that means i'm looking in the right area, just the wrong spot.
Will be back again to/from the powertrail to have another go.

Got the clues then got the point. Lady Geo was tougher than me and she got the cache. Thanks for a challenging situation.
As we arrived early for our meet up to do the wandering heroes trail we decided to have a look at this one. What a great train and lovely park. Yep, those spikey plants sure can be nasty. The cache is in good condition. TNLN TFTC
Found GZ without the help of the original location. Figured it was a place i would hide a cache. TFTC!!
While the geokids played I was able to slip away.
Easy calculation and then the phone took me on a wild goose chase till it settled down and I located GZ, found the cache quicker than I thought.

Found in the company of the Chief (Dad) and the Walenators at the very beginning of our SA adventure. A good way to get my driving hours up! TFTC
Wal an I did three multi's today and his was the last.
What a great example of a bygone era and a modern version went past while we were there.
GZ was a bugga with extremely sharp devices everywhere.
Just as we were about to give up, I finally spied the cache.
Thanks suedenharr

I love Steam so this one had to be done, Once the numbered where crunched the final GZ was calculated and we were off, but it took a little while before we found the cache. Thanks SUEDENHARR. TFTH...SL...TNLN
Sneaky hide, took 2 goes to find this one but with pirate rock with us we found it. TFTC
Excellent cammo! We were looking straight at it and still didn't see it.
We tried this in 2006 on our way to Sydney to live and now as we migrate back to Adelaide we had to have another go.
TNLNSL - thanks for the cache in one of our favorite landmark playgrounds.

I tried this one last time I was out this way with no luck.
That day was muggle central and no hope of finding it without being spotted.
Today the place was empty and the numbers were calculated and the cache was found.
Got pricked several times in the grab and replace process.
Cheers and happy caching.

Easy multi but we hate those prickling plants...searched a while before Ms Bushies2 found it. Thanks SUEDENHARR.
First cache find officially in SA. Damnit found it this morning after a great night's sleep at the Riverside Hotel. Got prickled putting it back. On we go to Kangaroo Island. Also found with Muggle Wen. TFTC TNLF SL
We attempted this cache in late February/early March. The information at WP1 was found quickly but we could not find the cache at the final waypoint. We returned today, ignored the precise coordinates and searched using the hint and information fom other logs. We were lucky - after about 3 minutes, the cache was spotted. TFTC Suedenharr
Nice multi but it took us a while to find it. Ouch Ouch Ouch.
Thanks SUEDENHARR for the cache.

[The Wandering Heroes series complete(ish) it's time to turn tail and head for home. Just have to pick up some caches on the way of course.]
[We did the calculations and headed for GZ, geoD was able to spot the prize from outside enabling him to reach in and grab it without being] prickled
[It's becoming really hard to find a spot to sign so a new log book could be in order]

A quick multi. It took us more time to find the cache. It wasnt where it was meant to be. Met another cacher returning it GZ as I stepped back around from looking for it. No wonder we couldnt find it. Nice to meet you .... fellow geocacher!

Found on a late night adventure with Mr Squiggle and Hallett Bros. GPS we used wasnt greatly accurate but with a bit of guess work we found it
Didn't have a gps so we guessed the location a bit but prevailed. Hurt a bit putting it back. TN L: cats eye marble and Canada badge
First multi-cache. Had trouble without a proper gps but came through with the goods.
Had to be a bit sharp with this one and in more that one way.I can understandhow the Allchins got their numbers wrong but then again a majority got it right including me.Very accurate hint, tfth
Read the hints and logs so guessed GZ accurately, but did the calculations to narrow the search.
Got to the point more quickly ( and oftn) than we may have hoped!

Had no success with this one, but will recheck our sums and hopefully better luck next time. We did however enjoy our lunch in the nice park.
Stopped for a meal break, good hide (suggest a bit of work on the camo paint)

After solving the clues thought I was wrong because so many of these things are hidden ON the train. So glad it wasn't. Found by Mr M without gloves but take them if you have them handy, hehehe. TN Left TB. TFTC
Enjoyed lunch in the park then grab the cache. Watch out for the mozzies at GZ.
An interesting exhibition and info about the "life" of the train engine. Only a few mini-muggles about. The final location was nicely on the side so the distance to the nearest little muggle was about 50 metres. Those spikes however. Tnlnsl. Thanks for the cache and the info.
stopped there and notice few muggles was there but I take the photos etc.. then in car and worked out..
when I arrived GZ and oh no. I hate this one.. got hurt my finger.

Found on a stop during a drive to Melbourne. At previous cache with cacti, one of our team (Craig) had an infortunate accident with falling into the cactus bush and requited a trip to hospital. Luckily not the case again today :~)

to do some caches, with Rokz, on a visit through the Upper South East.

Certainly a quick multi if you read the cache notes and the logs.... only one place it could be!!! Avoided the spikes but was glad i'd kept my reading glasses on as i'd hate to get a spike in the face .... boy!!! the tips of those spikes sure are solid!!! Thanks for a great little cache.... and so pleased the thing wasnt actually on the train as train caches and myself dont seem to get along!!!
Nice easy one for early Sunday morning before any muggles turn up. Didn't need the band aid. TFTC

After a short search found with Apty on our way to Crane2's Bratwurst, Brezen and 50 Cranes event. I used to love playing on these types of trains in playgrounds. Signed log left Butterfly traveller
Mundoo and I are heading to Crane2's 50th birthday event in the Murray Sunset Nat Park. I've driven along the highway many times and probably only been into Tailem Bend town twice I think. So many of these old steam train now high and dry around the towns of SA. Thanks for bringing us here. I didn't quite calculate the final co-ords 100% but looking at logs and the hint, I soon had cache in hand. No bandaids needed. TFTC.

A nice park in the back of a town we’ve really never stopped at before. Calculated incorrectly to start and crossed the tracks. We recalculated and began to go back. We’d just commented on this being wrong because you could have trouble with trains, when a local following us tripped and knocked her head badly on a train track. We provided some aide, before moving off successfully to GZ. Also spotted before having to risk injury on vegetation. Left sausage dog. TFTC
Even being careful I got a prick and was lucky I was wearing glasses or may have lost an eye! Nice Choo Choo, was going to meantion the log but thats been done already! Thanks, but be careful people, super sharp!

Found on our way home from our Oz Mega adventure. As usual, I did the work to get us to GZ but on this occasion I was happy to stand back while Boxer retrieved the prize - which he did without being too badly injured.
We decided to linger here long enough to eat a delicious Cornish pastie from the nearby bakery. Thank you for bringing us here.

Our first find on the way east to the mega event. Managed to come away mostly uninjured after extracting the cache! TNLNSL.
After a bit of discussion, we came up with an interpretation of the instructions that gave some feasible coordinates. The cache was quickly spotted by Mrs Wibble, and then it was just a case of avoiding the spike trap protecting the cache. The bandaids are a nice touch
