Logs

26-Mar-10
We searched in the place we left the cache and was surprised to find it wasn't threre even though this is a very unlikely spot for anyone to look. The cache was always in a difficult spot to find but we can only guess that some wayward mutt led his owner to it.

15-Dec-09
Archived for lack of maintenance and communication.

12-Sep-09
We stopped by today, and unfortunately it looks like the cache has been muggled. The hefty rock that had been in front of the entry to the cache is gone. Even with the rock removed, it's hard to imagine that anyone would just stumble upon this cache though. The trees and plants in the area have been pruned, so in case a park employee somehow found the cache and was nice enough to replace it, we looked for quite a few metres along in both directions from GZ. We came up with nothing however.

P.S. Two "Needs Archived" logs seemed like overkill, so I reposted with a note.

11-Sep-09
This is the closest Cache to my place but having read the logs I wasnt too hopeful as its not been found in nearly a year and there were a few DNF's after that. I'll message the last finders Pip and Robbie and the Owner Two Dogs but unless one of them can confirm it is still there or will be replaced soon I think it should be archieved Sad

10-Sep-09
Had a decent 15-20min search expanding from the road to about 20m the other size of where my GPSr said it was. No Dice Sad Archeive requested.

28-Apr-09
Like previous finders I spent around 15 minutes poking around the obvious spots with no luck Sad

Day 318 of non-stop caching Big Grin

Lots of keen eyes looking for this one but no luck!!! Spent about 15mins hunting but decided to move on to do a few other caches. I hope it's still around, i'll be back again for another look.

11-Apr-09
Searched long and hard, couldn't find it Sad Lots of possible locations, but no luck.

Bring the aeroguard for this one, we got eaten alive.

14-Nov-08
Racked the whole area for a while before giving up, as the rain came and some juvenile muggles walked past in the drain, shouting disgusting comments. Nice park, though I don't think the cache is here.

26-Oct-08
Smile Searched around - cross checked co-ords rummaged around some more - but it illuded me.
I shall keep an eye on the log to see if someone snags it - then I shall return.
Please note I am male and often can not find obvious items in the fridge much to the frustration of Mrs Oz-scott therefore my inability to spot the cache is not surprising.

20-Oct-08
There are a lot of newly planted bushes in this well kept park. Luckily our GPSr took us to within feet of the cache, and Pip found it in the first place he looked. The cache guardian (a fuzzy caterpillar) was directed elsewhere. The cache is in excellent nick, but had a bit of water inside, so dumped it and dried it out. The logbook was damp, but still in good shape. Not so lucky were three swag items: a CD, a mini calculator, and a deck of cards - all damp and with a great array of differently coloured moulds growing on them. We left a light stick, kids plastic flute, and a crocodile; took the three moldy items (to dispose of), and signed the logbook. Thank you for sharing this nice area and for the cache 2 Dogs!

Got a bad feeling this one was disappeared. Dropped by for a quick visit on a windy Monday evening. No luck, but fun to explore anyway.

No luck with this one despite a fairly good hunt. It didn't sound that hard, cache blindness perhaps.

17-Jul-08
[Fairly quick find, always look for something that looks out of place, and sure enough....... log is damp and needs some maintenance TNLNSL TFTC]

26-Jun-08
Quick easy find during a lunch time quest.

TFTC TNLN SL

Cache is in dire need of some TLC and is very bare. Shame as it is in such a lovely area and so close to another main park.

Ahoy the 2 dogs!!
It be a while since I looted a 2 dogs cache. Thanks for a nice cache...

25-Jun-08
Needs some TLC. Log book is vey damp and the inside of the cache was very wet.

04-Jun-08
Found in the rain in my lunch break.
GPS got a bit muddy but cleaned up well.

The log book was damp (but not wet) and hard to write on with the lead pencil but otherwise ok although the zip lock bag was torn down one side so not sealing out the moisture.

TNLN signed log.

Thanks for the cache.

01-Jun-08
I found the area quickly and even touched the GZ but passed it by when my GPS pointed away.. then after a min or two found my self back at my first guess.. doh.. except I reached in a bit further to find the container...
unfortunately I didn't have geodog for this trip.

note : Logback is a bit damp and should be replaced before it gets too wet.

Thanks for the hunt..

Had tried for this once before but no dice. Today thanks to a tidy up in the bushes the likely spot revealed itself straight away. Watched a very odd gentleman riding his bike down the nearby stormwater drain and then meandered back to the bloopy mobile.

25-Apr-08
this one took a bit to find, but at least the council had cleared out the area, so there werent too many spots too search

Nice hide - just well hidden enough. In company with GeoKebab, The Chauffeur and The Engineer. TNLNSL TFTC.

28-Jan-08
Our last cache of the day and our first dnf. We did pick up lots and lots and lots of bugs, farmers friends and other assorted prickles though. We weren't having much fun looking so we gave up. Maybe another day.

A quick crawl through the undergrowth and what do we come up with, the Cache of course.

14-Jul-07
Found it while on a break from the State poker Champs nearby and didn't have any trouble finding it luckily. Had to dash back to the club for more action, so TNLNSL.
No luck at the Champs, but had a good streak at Star City later which paid for our trip.
Dropped a TB so it can be picked up by a local today.
Thanks 2 dogs,

It's nice that this cache is along the bike track, we cycled all the way from Marrickville but its a very pleasant ride.
Quite well hidden but unlike its sibling "Trolls Delight" this one didn't escape the sharp eyes of my 6 year old cache hunter. TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache. Team Vainui.

15-May-07
Easy find

14-Apr-07
I've never seen so many burrs! I tried hard to avoid them but still picked up several hundred of the things. As for the cache, I found it quickly and was then faced with a trip back through the burrs where I picked up several hundred more of the things. Took geocoin to move onward.

11-Mar-07
Parked in the carpark and crossed to the other side.
GZ was quite overgrown and I wasnt appropriately dressed.

GPS was acting a little screwy so without a solid fix I wasnt going to venture right in.

Still picking farmers friends off my shoes.

Dropped by as I was in the area to do a coin swap. Man, the crows feet are bad now, zillions of the little buggers!

25-Jan-07
Found by Mary & David at 1730. Didn't need our own dog here, as the neighbourhood ones announced our arrival and commented on our progress. A great place to play with your best friend. TNLN, but dropped off the 'Busted!' geocoin we brought from Wagga. Cheers, 2 Dogs!

Hmmm. No luck on this one. Spent about 30 minutes searching, but had no idea where it could after the obvious places came up blank. I need to try it again with another frame of mind.

1st of the 10 Bike Cache-o-rama caches on the way to the airport. Came to the location, looked around a bit and it soon was found in an obvious spot. Another good hide by the 2Dogs!

I'd had a couple of failed attempts here, but this time found it in the obvious spot. Nice to see the river flowing fast.

Our first find in Australia. Pleasant afternoons walk along the cook river from Stubby Holder and the Red Flash,s place where we are staying. Brought Alien Explorer TB from New Zealand and left in the cache to continue its exploration.

Had been here briefly before (like for over an hour!) and the geogods still sent me to the same tree....then suddenly the gps jumped and pointed further upstream ...bingo... 'mazing what you find under rocks these days..or was that a lump of concrete? Hard to tell at 9pm on the first night of winter. The sad news is that all the farmers friends, which all previous cachers have loved so much, have all gone (temporarily).

05-May-06
Slipped out at lunchtime for what I thought would be an easy pick-up.
Looks like all the farmers friends have recently been removed by council however no luck finding the cache. Co-ords were drifting a bit so I'll try again soon.

19-Apr-06
Trying to locate the correct side is the trick here, eventually we did.

Thanks 2 Dogs

19-Apr-06
Farmers friends were in abundance, full bloom with there little black seeds, co-ords spot on. T/N/L/N/S/L. Thanks for the hunt The 2 Dogs.

I headed for the trenches to get a good bearing on this one. Once i was close i went straight into the bushes only to stumble across the cache. Contrary to all I'd heard this was a nice easy find in a location where I'd previously done a 2-Dogs cache. TNLN Thanks

02-Apr-06
Have ridden past this many times. Great hide and very sneaky! I'm still picking off the farmers friends, hours later but had I been smarter it would have all been uneccesary.
Again a very well stocked cache, jam packed with goodies. Sat down in the April sunshine to log my find, very peaceful as I was not noticable from where I sat but could see lots of activity only meters away.
Took micro cloth ,Left erasers.
Left Loosy Goosy TB
Once again thanks 2 dogs for such a well thought out cache.
I really enjoy doing your caches.

My 2nd attempe at this one found it easily and manage to avoid most of the farmers friends this time, don't know why I didn't find it the first time
Thanks for a great cache

Found this one with Shadow! as our 3rd of 3 for the day visiting Sydney Olympic Park from the ACT to go and see the "Amazing Human Body" exhibition.

Coincidentally, Shadow! and I both reached our milestone of 50 cache finds on this very cache. I was very quick to congratulate myself!

The mosquitoes continued to be in fine form in this location too as we headed back towards the airport in a round-about fashion.

A good hide, with the GPS having it pretty dead-on. TFTC

Took: sunscreen sachet
Left: insect collectable cards (to go with the mozzies) and somethign else that I can't remember!

5 of 9

went in here with a bit of pre warning about the famers friends.... turns out they ARE JUST AS BAD as everyone says, i was covered in the buggers. (and all for no good bloody reason)

was about to call it quits on this cache as the gps was moving around a bit and i just ould see where a cache would be, but with all the moving the GPS kepot pointing to one specific area so i figured i should look just a bit more... and low and behold.. THERE IT WAS so i signed the log and left cursing the farmers friends

29-Jan-06
Only had first page of clues so abandoned this one after 45 mins of looking around. We suggest whoever tries next takes a "whipper snipper" or a machete. Gave the gps a couple of tries but still couldn't locate the breakfast. Come to think of it, didn't even see a dog!!! Will try again and comforting to see others had difficulty too!

Cache #5 @ 4:57pm

After looking for an hour in the hot sun and covered in spider webs and farmers friends i wasn't a happy chappy, but i knew the cache must be here somewhere as it had only just recently been found, then out of the corner of my eye i noticed a shine, i think you will have much more luck finding this cache if you go in thinking of it as a Diff 5.

TNLN

spent an hour picking the farmers friends off.

19-Nov-05
This is one of those spots that you depart heavier than when you arrive. The farmer's friends are thick on the ground at the moment.
Not sure why I didn't see this before. I looked all around this spot. It's there alright. This time I perservered with the GPS a little more carefully. Fortunately the co-ords are spot-on.
TNLN. Thanks Dogs.

24-Sep-05
I scoured the area for about an hour but couldn't find it. Even thinking 3 dimensionally didn't help. May need a hint on this one - if it's still there.

11-Sep-05
looked every where, council has been around the area. may need to check if still there

11-Sep-05

We tried, twice today, once before trolls and once after the trolls. Got us beat this time, but maybe not next time. It's probably there, somewhere.

11-Aug-05
Guessed the hiding technique fairly quickly but looked inb the wrong spot. A more thorough search soon revealed the cache. Now off to visit the trolls.

Left Soccer Player took Poncho.
