Area has been cleared.. All that is left now is just a tap.. No more trough... However there is a wine tasting on now. So not all is lost
If I'm in the correct area there has been some work done in the area. Looks like a grador had leveled quite a bit of area here and the cache may have been lost. All I saw was a tap near a corner of flattened field and a roped of area for the horses, nothing else there.
first one on our 'all the ones on the hwy from canberra to wagga' hunt.
were a few workman muggles, but they didn't seem to care...probably use to people hunting around =)

Found this one on the way to Canberra, No muggles nearby so it was a quick easy find. TNLN. TFTC
2 worker muggles were nearby - one got curious and came for a chat. He thought I was checking the water quality. Intrigued. Big guard slug protecting cache.
Muggle workers nearby made this a challenge. After signing and returning log we were then approached by a different worker asking if we had lost anything.

17/07/2010 10:38 Found: with Little Red Shoes and a new cacher yet to be named. Have been meaning to sto for this one for a longtime, go past twice almost every day. As others have mentioned, cache contents are a bit wet, but log is dry.

Found by harry_stamper with PR&F, The Empire and The Lone Random on 28/6/10 @ 1.15pm.
4th of 12 for the day on our way to "sunny" Canberra.
With a muggle within eye-sight of us, careful retrieving was in order.
No horses to contend with, but lots of mud which both PR&F and The Empire can attest to!

Find number 3 out of 11 on the first day of our Canberra Invasion 2010! Had to do a U-turn after driving past the entrance, when we were in, there were a few muggles around but they didn't bother us. There were no horsey's to be seen at all, there was some horse poo which PR&F stepped in (up to the ankle), making her two pairs of socks wet! The cache is wet, I tried to sign the log with something that is legible.
Our thanks to The Sundowners for the cache.

#4 of 12 finds on the first day of our Canberra Invasion.
The Empire made the find for this one. It was very muddy around GZ and the log book was very wet and could do with replacing.
I remember stopping here with my Mum and Nan when I was much younger- we stopped to stretch our legs and so I could cross the bridge.
Thanks for bringing us here The Sundowners.

Got to ground zero. Think i know where it is. Decided it's not worth getting as filthy as would be required to fetch the cache
Container is completely water logged, whilst it does add to the authenticity of the find it makes it difficult to leave and read details, perhaps leaving the notepad in a plastic bag might further protect it.
A first Mother and Daughter find!! Very impressed with ourselves for working out the GPS!! Good fun and got some great photos. TFTC
wet, wet, wet

Yes indeed previous cachers are correct in their sumaries of this cache,
and now you can add stinky, soggy, smelly, runny, cow poo flowing into the "not waterproof" cache container.

Next time I come through I will bring a replacement log and container - like those who were here before me I found it so soggy I didn't even open the box.

Armed only with the co-ords and cache name having done a route query for the trip "just in case" we stopped somewhere with a cache, this was a nice easy find during a quick toilet stop with not a muggle in sight. As I now know what previous finders have said, the cache is indeed quite wet so I didn't actually sign the log! Had neither the time or the spares to do some cache maintenance, so hopefully someone else will stop by with a new logbook on their way through. Oh yeah, and this was our first NSW cache as well! Thanks Sundowners!
Unfortunately, as mentioned earlier, this is a very sodden cache. I managed to etch a 'G' on the paper before being too grossed out and replacing it. Most amusing cache name/placement though!
URGENT! Cache is situated in a puddle.
Wet is an understatement for the condition of this cache!

As per previous logs, this cache is wetter than the river under the footbridge we crossed over to get here.
Added a log sheet, but had no plastic bag, so it too will be wet by the end of today!

Found with Indiana08. We could only etch or imprint our names into the sogging wet logbook. Unfortunately, we didn't have a new ziplock bag with us, so decided not to leave another piece of paper. It might soak up a bit of the water, but be quickly as useless as the other papers.
Anyway, thanks for showing us this place.

Quickly found. There is only one place it could be. Removed the plastic bag. Hopefully the log will dry out in the box.
Took off lid of a nice and dry outer container to expose sodden yukky contents. Didn't even attempt to etch my name. Maintenance is desperately required.
Will log this as a find, I suppose we managed to etch our names into the sogging wet paper, but this cache needs immediate attention.
On our way to Oz Mega...from Brisbane to Wagga Wagga, via Canberra. What a quaint little town. Found the cache easily but unusable log. In company with Gunnie69.
Thanks for the cache The Sundowners. Cheers, svn07

My 1300th find unfortunately, I was unable to put my name in the log. Heading west to Wagga Wagga with Svn07, I thought about leaving a sticker but it would have been sodden within a couple of hours.
Cheers Sundowners.
Cheers Sundowners.
No one around to foily searching today. As the previous finder has noted, the contents and log book are saturated. Just managed to scrawl my name but impossible to read it. Maintenance definitely needed, so I'll bite the bullet and post a needs maintenance log too.
Couldn't sign the log as it was water loged - all the toys are slimy, will log a maintenance note, you can visit but don't expect to be able to sign. On a lighter note it is in a very cool spot and favourite stop over in and out of Canberra.

I've attempted this a few times but as GZ was occupied couldn't get close until now, but err perhaps log book was left in the Trough.. I think the log book is starting to ferment, I did my best to write on the book but only manage to smesh it into the page, so really ..really needs the disabling till container is replaced etc..
Positioned the vehicle at the aforsaid watering hole. The cache is very wet and still smelly.
Found it this am.

Cache is thouroughly soaked and seems to have been for some time. Needs replacement and possibly relocation.
Found this one after dark but sadly it was in a very poor state. Cache was saturated and bugs had made it there happy home.
Couldn't sign the log due to the state and Geodriver asked what the smell was when I got back in the car.... ewww.
Loved the area and the hunt for the hide but the water seems to be constant now, may need to either repair the area or move the cache.

Hi, found the cache, however, there has been a lot of rain in that area recently and the cache has suffered. Everything was water logged so we couldn't write in the log. We emptied all the water out and removed the slugs.
Good cache location and it was fun to find.

I've left a Geocoin to tempt more cachers to come this way - however the log is full - so may pay to bring some paper.
Thanks!

Went for a walk over to this one and spotted a couple acting all wierd trying to hide something, G'Day Team Viking, nice to meet another team at the cache.
Great hide. Took some determination to find this one. Forgot to bring pencil - so didn't write in log. Left scratchmarks instead.
The cache name and the hint told us all we needed to find this one.
While performing the duties, another couple came along: Team Young at Heart. Nice meeting you!
Took nothing, left nothing.

Wasn't difficult at all, when we finally got a chance to look for it without too many muggles about.
We cheated and got there early whilst all the campers there were still asleep. No-one came out to see what we were doing, so all was well.
Thank you for the challenge.

We think we found about where this one is, but when we were there, people and horses were all around, so we'll try again another day.
We are the family that Gunnadoo was visiting when they did this cache.
Just happen to be talking to them on the phone when we got to GZ.
It was bucketing down so we cheated and asked them for a clue as we really didn't want to get out and look in the rain.
Spent the next 5 minutes trying to decide with them what was the front and back and probably would have been easier if we just found it ourselves. Doh.
Any way got the cache thanks for the hide.

A few muggles around so had to be stealth on this one was not exacly too sure about where to look after searching briefly the item which it might of been around, i did eventually reach in even though the description said we should need to get wet. Guess what. You don't have to lol, another search of the area and cache was in hand. Log book was full so put in an Emergency Log book.

Nice hide. Took me a while because I didn't have any doco, just the location on my GPS. I did try some underwater activities. I walked with Geowife. I couldn't have covered with car but no muggles on a weekday.

Very handy spot to stop as I needed some baling twine to replace the cracker on Aislin's stock whip as she's rapidly wearing it out. There was an abundance of it growing on nearby hay bind trees.

After my last attempt of this cache being muggleville. I decided lets go back and try again. Out with the geograndmother roo as she wants to be called (my mum). This was our first stop for the day. Parked the geomobile and mum said you go for this one, and id wait here. Got to gz not using the gps and could look abit easier this time. Found quickly and replaced hooray got you TFTC
Found this one after stomping around in some poo for a bit. I reckon the old GPS must start cutting laps when the batteries are low. This stop saw the batteries run out on arrival, the back up batts start out flat...and the back up back up batts only last as long as it took to find this one. Not to self...buy new batteries first stop in Canberra!
