Logs
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there currently staying on the outskirts of Hamilton decided to go for a drive around the outskirts of Hamilton & clean up some Adventure Labs & caches this was an easy find, cache container was easily retrieved, log book signed & replaced pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS #5,750 for Us!
Night adventure with Bear2024Cache #20 for the nightCouple in a car in the carpark watching us (we think) but the late time we were out made it very dark so easy to hide in the nightStarted looking at the wrong tree before adjusting search and quickly foundSigned and returnedTFTC
**XX** MMMMMMMDCCCLXXXVII: Traveling from Auckland to the Waitomo Caves and Hobbiton today. Quick walk in the park while stopped for an adventure lab stage. TFTC
Out caching around Taupiri with rattll on a hot afternoon. This park was an oasis of shade! Soon homed in on GZ, although we spent a minute or two checking out the wrong spot! Easily seen from the correct angle. All well in the container. Thanks for keeping this older cache going, fills in a hole in my Jasmer grid. Tftc!
Got a bit closer to the river than was necessary then realized I didn't have to almost take a dip to find this one. Only a couple spots left in the log TFTC
After a couple of red herrings, located this one in the midst of also completing the nearby adventure lab.Needs a new log. Able to sign it today by writing small. TFTC
This is one of my favourite picnic spots. We discovered it years ago and I always stopped here on my way to Taupo. Now the new Huntley by-pass has opened we haven't been back until today. Heading home from Hamilton we wanted a quiet coffee and slice of cake, and a quick wee, so came around here. Obviously managed to park as close as possible to the cache so I found it whilst Daddypig got the picnic stuff out.Had just made coffee when it went dark and started to rain again.
Nice spot, but something fishy going on. A few cars around, luckily out of sight, but then a cop parked up so that no one can leave? I explained my presence and was allowed to pass. TFTC!!
After a week of with a head cold I needed some fresh air and so with today being a lovely late winter\early spring day I set off to loop round to Taupiri and back.
It's only now I'm logging this find that I see quite how old the placement is. Eighteen years almost.
I hope it gets to last a while longer yet as there has been some recent pruning very nearby.
Thanks ABCDF4 for keeping this one alive

Now that was a prickly one. Once you have the tree your set - but it’s not the obvious one. Take note of the riverside
Log was too wet to sign. Found with mr gogoguise and kids. Had some great food at Hopin stopin cafe
Arrived after the last of the daylight had gone, so quite a bit of a challenge to find. For a while was fixated on following the hint, When I realised other people’s waist hight may be shoulder height for me adjusted accordingly and lo and behold, it was there. Thanks for the cache!
Up at Taupiri today completing the two ALCs, and I saw this trad. A great little spot, TFTC
Yet another cute spot I have frequently passed and never knew existed! For a tall person with a high waist this clue was spot on
Labour Weekend has historically been a minimum 3 day Team SEAC all out adventure so a little while ago I started planning some fun for us. After a walking day yesterday, today was a driving one and more about the numbers and clearing out an area we have had our eyes on for a while. Ended up being a massive day (left home around 8.30am and got home at 1:40am!)....it wasn't called a Mega Mysterious Weekend for nothing. Enjoyed the fun with friends...just like the 'old' times.
Easy find when you have the right tree (which we didn't at first ha ha)
Thanks for the cache

In the absence of a MEGA event this Labour Weekend, Keylev had spent some time planning a Mega Mysterious Weekend for members of Team SEAC (a group of cachers from south and east Auckland who often cache together). Today's plan was to head south and find as many caches as we could around the Huntly area. In the group today is HeMaLuDy, Stik-a-Crane, NurseDr, Keylev, UncleSamNZ, Liverkiwi. Logs were sighed SEAC or Team SEAC to save space. It ended up being a long day and a bit - leaving the start point at 9 am and returning home after 1:30 am the following day.
As we completed the nearby ad lab we decided it would be foolish if we didn't find the trad too. A nice quick find by torchlight

Day 2 of our Labour weekend caching mission, and also happens to be a significant day for me yearly...... Our group decided to head down Huntly way for a good variety of cache types and then head inland and back up to Auckland.....some of use a little jaded from the impromptu high elevation gain hike yesterday, we eased ourselves into search mode.....
Signed is as SEAC to save logbook space and allowing us more time to enjoy the area which surprised us as to how many scenic places are hiding in Huntly....
Thanks to all the CO's for hiding and maintaining caches here.....and to mother nature for the awesome weather we had......
Grabing some intel for adv.labs and decided to get this one as well....last time I was here people were parked up nearby, so decided to leave till now....

I’d planned to drive from Huntly to the GeoTour WC about coal mines - but the bridge closed just before I got there … such is life. I headed south instead & came upon Taupiri where I stopped to do an AdLab series & came upon this cache near one of the stages.
Thank you for maintaining this cache ABCDF4.

Stopped to have dinner in the park thought we would take up the opportunity to grab a cache while we're here
Stopped here as it was a shady spot to have some lunch. Checked the phone for any caches and one was close by. Well camoed so took a bit of spotting. TFTC
Found this cache yesterday however the lid is screwed on so tightly i was unable to.open and sign log. Will log as a find when im able to sign log. Will get a stronger friend to come with me.
Stopped off to take a leak, checked geocache to find this one nearby, took less than a minute to find, but smiled when I spotted it!
On a ladies weekend to Hamilton with Supernanny, Jag50 and Nette1234. A nice quick find here
Quick stop here on our way to Hamilton. Found the cache exposed so tucked it away out of sight
Found on our drive from ngaruawahia to auckland. Very cool park with all the fruit trees. Thanks for the hide
After visiting our son in ngaruawahia we called in to grab this cache on our way home. Nice little park. Thanks
A nice quick find on my way north. Good to find a nice old cache, particularly one still in great condition. A nice park, though surprised to see it so deserted on a nice day in the holidays. TFTC.
Vacations 2019 - Road trip trough New Zealand
With Geoesposa, this was my 50th anniversary. 16 days, 4200Kms and a few hundreds smilles after, i was sure i saw nothing....
I liked everything, the friendly and civilized people, the way the country works, the roads and especially the natural beauty of New Zealand.
I fell in love....
I decided to go back in 5 years, I easily see myself living my last days somewhere lost in any stunning scenery of this wonderful country.
With the itinerary studied at home, the caches were the ones that were in the chosen places, and a few used to stretch the legs. It was decidedly not the most important on this trip. Of all the visited, only half a dozen did not appear, all being in good health except two or three.
I will use this generic log, not for disrespect of the owners, but due to the amount of caches visited. Here the majority of caches serve to show something beautiful (as it should be), not giving importance to the container.
My thanks to all the ownwers who, allied to the natural beauty of the country, have made this vacation unforgettable.

First find on our way to Auckland. Compass wandered around a bit but not too many logical places to check. Tftc
