Second time lucky Kept coming back to the same place Couldnt work it out then had a thought And the prize has been secured. Thanks to the previous finder for offering some advice. TFTC
After a long slog down and very long one back up, I found a container secreted away but didnt have a log only a stone.Advised this was a decoy and that a cache is placed nearbychanging to didnt find, and will try again later.Photo as evidence decoy.
Found it! I noticed this one hadnt been found for 18months so I decided to give it a go first up today. A fairly steep descent down to GZ however not too bad if you choose your path. Cache was located quickly and in good condition! Dropped a TB I realised I had been holding on to for a couple of weeks, hopefully this cache gets some more visits soon. TFTC!
Good co-ords meant easy find in the likely spot.
Been 18mths since last find.
Cache container and log book in good order.
Thanks for the steep decent and arduious climb back out.

Last cache for the day, I have drove past this one a few times but decided today to pull over. I parked up and made the shirt walk down the steep hill, an interesting rock face/bowl here that many wouldn’t know about, I made my way over to GZ and spotted what looked like a cache opened it up and nope that’s got nothing in it, a bit more of a search and the cache was found nicely tucked down and in. It took a bit of fiddling around to get it out, the cache and contents are all good
Today I met up with Davidwazza at Mt Crawford to complete some caches that required a bike, we particularly focused on the area around the Big fat series. After having lunch I was spent and decided to head home and find a few caches along my way. All up 30 finds for the day.
Thanks for the cache

This hill was a very steep hill, definitely had to let my ankles rest after climbing down and then back up this hill, awesome spot that I didn't know was in this area, thank you
Nice Sunday afternoon explore. We believe we found it, based on earlier comments, but as previously mentioned, the cache is empty
I’ve been wanting to get to this cache for ages. It was touch and go with the descent! Found the sneaky hide after a bit of a search. TFTC and for the exercise! Puff! Puff!
The descent? Fairly tricky.
The find? Not too bad.
The retrieval? Virtually impossible! I eventually came up with the goods after improvising a tool from the local flora! Note to self: add a grabbing tool to my caching equipment!
A great cache! Thanks!

Out getting my cache fix
A rapid descent, trying not to think of what may sleep in the long grass...
Found the recently fallen log mentioned in previous logs.
Looked higher.
A neat little hide was found. Left a Travel bug for incentive to come visit this spot.
Ascended slowly.
Thanks for bringing me here SA_ParrotHead , and thanks for another fun smiley

Scored some serious unloved on this one. The half of the tree stump it was in is now further down the creek as it moved with my weight on it. Luckily the dork
Managed to jump out the way before it tipped and slid. The frog just moved enough so the tree just clipped his steel cap. Cache relocated to the part of the tree that is still upright.
Thanks for the cache SA_ParrotHead. Found on 6 Dec 2017 at 10:34 pm. Find #5517.

A little adventure with Anymules and Moneydork tonight, ventured down to this one by torchlight and arrived at GZ, looking at extracting the cache when the part the hide was in decided to fall over and roll into the creek, making a easier retrieval, lucky the rest of the hide was still intact, found a suitable place to put it back. Almost two years since last found TFTC SA_ParrotHead
Approached from the south. Very end was kinda steep but managed ok. Actual hide was a bit trickier than anticipated thanks to the clever hiding piece which blended in really well. TFTC
TFTC - a favourute point for you and one for me for not giving up - looked in that spot 7535465 times before I finally realized something shouldn't be there - saw rabbits and a beautiful location !!! Thanks again - great cache
A nice climb down. A good hide which deserves a fav point from me. Thanks SAParrotHead.

How on earth did you find this place? This is awesome!! For urban caching in the burbs, I really enjoyed exploring around here. TFTC guys
Thought we had done our daily excersise with our last find. Why cant hiders be kind to us older farts ??? Very clever hide though, just about to claim a DNF When one last possibility came into grab hold and bingo. SL TFTC
We attacked this one after ding Elizabeth High. Not a smart move. Loved the History and views.
Of course it was in the last place we looked. TFTC

On our tour of Australia via Oz Mega we are currently staying nearby but today we had to take the GeoCruiser into the panel beaters after some damage at the Mega.
So now in our LOAN Geo Mobile it was time to see what we could find. Trying to make our way to the phobia series but tomtom took a wrong turn imagine that [:(!] Anyway we found ourselves near this cache so stopped to claim a smilie here.

I love these old areas, hidden away from view full of history. I imagine that when the quarry was operating, Adelaide town was a long way away, and the nearest homes were in Salisbury.
Took a little while for me to believe what my GPS was telling me, as I tried to look in the quarry (safely of course). But after a while I worked out it was hidden elsewhere at a safe and sensible elevation.
A relatively easy find as it was the first place I had a look at.
Thanks for the cache, SA Parrothead.

Having dropped or left my notes for some other caches and my phone and all sorts of stuff between home and somewhere else, this was the closest cache in the GPS to my daughter's violin lesson.
I headed off and found the start of the track which fairly quickly turned into a cliff. The dog and I then collected a million prickles and a significant sense of snakes in the area. The cache was easier than I expected being in the only place I looked.
On the way out geo-dog nearly got a rabbit, but I wouldn't let him chase it over the cliff.

This is fairly close to work and so tonight, having left work at 6.45pm and needing to pick up muggle son from his nearby work at 7.30pm, I thought I might try Rock Bowl for my daily cache!
However some of the logs had me tad worried about how steep this might be [?]
I was quite happy , as I worked my way to GZ, to find that it really wasn't that bad after all [^]
A nice quick locus cache event and then, as I stopped to take photos, I was rewarded with seeing a rabbit up the hill and a pair of very colourful birds (possibly even parrots, which seemed very appropriate) flying around

I didn't know which way to come at this one... so I did it the Darknstormy way... straight down and full pace...
walked right in to a spider web with the little critter cm's from my face... so if you heard a loud girly scream it wasn't :p hahaha
Got ya :D log was little damp

Don't know weather or me approached from the wrong way but the terrain was too steep for my girls!
We came to do this cache a while ago, and after walking along the trail a bit, realised that it wasn't going to lead us to the bottom, and with littlies in tow, decided to leave it for another time.
Today was that time. A easy descent down like a mountain goat, a walk though a forgotten place, and a very wet cache later, we had out smilie for the day.
Now... to just walk back up the hill. [B)]

The cache was in a obvious spot, and well camo'd, but the cache container was in a plastic bag, which was full of water with the log book in the bag. No way of signing the log book (and not sure why the book was in the bag and not the container), so I signed the bag instead [^]

This has long been one of our closer to home not founds that has stood out in the middle of a sea of smileys. We had actually arrived near GZ some time ago intending to take our new geopup for a walk but he would to get down the hill in one piece and we didn't want to carry him on the slippery terrain so we left it for another day. Finally, today was that other day.
We admired the bowl (initially thinking the cache would be there), then went on to GZ. This was another of those occasions where the cache was in the first place we looked and if only we had of looked better we would have found it then instead of going on further away looking for the cache. Finally returned to our first spot and quickly found the cache.

Very treacherous and tricky. Like a mountain goat. Swapped lip gloss for penguin.
A few minutes to spare before picking up the kids from school meant that I was finally able to pick up this cache. It has been on my closest to home list for so long, but it has never been one that I have wanted to do with the kids.
Today with clear skies and no rain I ventured down the hill In what I think was the hard trek down - took me a little bit longer than I expected to find the cache, I circled around GZ trying to work out what I was missing, then finally spotted the hidden cache. TFTC TNLN

Our second attempt, well sort of, at this one. Last time we didn't get anywhere near GZ as our legs were still hurting from a rather long walk the day before.
No such problems this day as we took a slightly circuitous route down to GZ. Once there we made the find far harder than it should have been. Eventually geoP made the find, quite a nice hide!

Lovely Walk, bit tricky as lots of places to look. Container broken, not sealed well so bit wet. Still able to use log but bit damp. TFTC
Headed out north with Honeysucker to start clearing the area above Grand Junction Road.
Easy walk down but a little harder back up. The wet grass did wash the mud off our shoes. TFTC.

now we have the 100 find trackable we are just getting around to logging it through.
Ouch ouch ouch, prickles right the way through my socks and shoes but another smiley here, thankyou.
Went down there the long way, and managed to get out by going straight up. Plastic bag is doing it's job of keeping things dry. TNLN. TFTC.
Finding the best way down took a little while. Sometimes the shortest way is not the best way.
I considered replacing the container with another one that I brought along, but I couldn't achieve the same attachment method as the one that already exists, While the cord is used to secure the container, it will be ok. The container has a little bit broken but this shouldn't be a problem as the log is in a plastic bag. Thanks for the hunt.

Nice wonder have to come from the right direction or go at your own perial? Took car left one eye. The cache is not sealling and the container needs replacing. Hinge broken will not stay shut. TFTC
Last one for the day, steep walk down if parked in nearby spot. Wasn't hard to find, clever hide. The container cannot be properly closed though, it's pretty much up to the the attached string to hold it together. TNLNSL TFTC
No problems with the sour sobs, scotch thistles could be nasty though. Easy going down, hard work coming back up.

Beautiful valley, bit slippery early in the morning, little green car was tough to fit back in ...
Our first cache for our friend today. She lives nearby and had no idea about geocaching, she has been converted. The container could do with replacing but it was an easy find after the tricky walk down. Only had coke to drink when we got back up, water would have been better. Took the magnet and left a mini car. TFTC
Found@14;30. Well we've had this on our radar way too long, interesting spot in the suburbs, only one nearby Trad. micro to go. Took the long way down and the short way up and the soursobs do make it interesting finding good footing.
Container does need replacing though I did come up with a technique to how it together for now. I've given the log book a new ziplock and removed a large toy lizard. Thanks for the mini-adventure for P (F away on a girls w/e @ Pt Elliot).
Cheers 'scargoes (P)

I promise that I will be out doing a maintainance run just as soon as I get out from under the June Event.
This is a gem of a location. Thanks Parrothead [^].
We brought a couple of spare caches with us but none of them would have fit in the hidey hole (and the cache wasn't really in a bad way - yet).

Had a quick look from the top the other week after doing Down Hill Run, but decided I'd had enough Down Hills after that trek. Called past today, and soon found it wasn't as far down as I though it would be. Thankfully a quick find in the end as there was potential for this to bring back memories of Foxbat's Revenge.
Signed log and added some postit stickers in to cache. Undid string and used it as best as could to hold cache shut, but definately needs a new cache.

Cache container needs to be replaced. Clip seems to be lost, so probably can't be repaired and although log book wasn't damp, there is potential it could get soaked.
Unfortunately I didn't have a spare cache in the car I was in today.

we couldn't locate this one and the GPSr gave us a potential area of 10metres which didn't help. Think we may need to work on our fitness before any more terrain this steep! Thanks anyway!
Mrs O'Cholio decided this one wasn't for her as the terrain was too steep/snakey, so the intrepid Mr O'Cholio threaded his way down the hill amongst the tiger snakes known to be in the area. He eventually found the cache after looking at its location three times and not seeing it, before taking the relatively easy way back up the hill (directly towards the fence). TFTC.
I certainly took a steep way here and a couple of weeks ago when I had a torn calf I would have left this cache well alone.
I picked up a load of grass seeds on the way out too.
Thanks

Thanks to SA Parrothead for the opportunity to venture deeper into this park to find the cache. I have bushwalked here before and was disappointed all the existing trails are dead ends. It would be nice if it was developed into a linear walk with an additional entrance.
A great hiding spot that was difficult to locate with only a Google Earth printout and no visible reference points.
Could the next finder please take along a spare long shoelace and do a little maintenance.
