Out enjoying a nice walk in the sunshine in this beautiful area. A miscalculation saw me scrambling straight back up the slope to get to the cache - lucky Im still pretty nimble for my 52 years.TFTC Freddo

An unplanned drive up to a spot I didn’t know existed was rewarded richly in stunning panoramic views, beautiful wildlife and a well stocked cache. Thanks Freddo for leading us here! Seems this one has had no love for some months. Sketchy spot with slippery shoes, but!

A bit of a scary slope but amazing view!

Out and about exploring today, and found this amazing view. Checked to see if there were any caches nearby to mark the spot for prosperity, and would you look at that, peanuts.

Unbelievable view! Thank you

Wound my way past lots of very flash fancy houses to a spot I thought looked good to access this one. I was 70m away and then had do do some precarious walking to get to GZ. Glad I didn't fall off the cliff. More fantastic views, super cliffs and another Frog cache found. Enjoyed visiting the amphibian nation today. I then had to negotiate my way back to the car. Arrive back in one piece, mission accomplished. I shall return with geohusband and hound to enter the mine and pick up my silver.

Fluffymaxi and I were finding the last few virtual gems needed for the Mystery at the Museum souvenir challenge and targeting caches needed for other reasons also. This one also filled a gap on our Jasmer grid, so was on the target list.
We were pretty much on top of it just before we made the find.

Well that one has me puffing. Follow the line of agapanthus and you will surely find a cache. Well almost, it’s down that slippery escarpment. Cache container full and in good nic. Thanks Freddo

After the local EC, we wanted a bit of a walk but the path nearby was closed so we opted to get to the top with the car, enjoy the view and get this cache.
It had been raining a lot, the ground was slippery and it was very windy. I took a lot of precaution to get down to the bush and Mr. P. found the cache.
Thank you Freddo for taking us to the view!

18-Aug-18
Well a surprise leave pass meant I had the whole morning to go caching. So I arranged to meet Anymules for breakfast and to then take on a couple of wherigos that had been on the to do list for some time. Cool Off course there are always a couple of other caches that just had to be done whilst in the area too. Razz

Surprisingly this was one of the other caches we did whilst in the area. Surprised As if this could be in the area of anywhere. Wink But is was and up the slippery slope we went until we came to a very large slippery and mostly vertical rock. And of course the GPS advised that we needed to be on top of that too. So around we went and then back again until we were indeed on top and there we found the cache. Smile Sat down and admired the views. These views won't be available for peanuts!

**Thanks Freddo for this cache. ** Big Grin

This lone green spot on my map has been erking me to go get it for ages [:o] Today is the day I went to go grabski, it being a beautiful sunny 21oC day Wink Many people were walking and hiking. I remained out of sight whilst I was at GZ of this lovely elevated spot with views to die for. Pics were taken that's for sure [^] Wink SL at 11:20 on Sun 13 Aug 2017. All good and dry inside the cache [^] TFTC Freddo Smile

Where do we start with this one, we started from the path and climbed. Uhm, not where we thought it may be, so we expanded the search area. Hubby took on the more challenge based areas while I sat on a tree and made suggestions, that's my job isn't it?
In the end I decided that I needed to take a more active roll in the search for the cache. Now I saw a rock that did not match the colour of the surrounding ones, perhaps there and it was. We left taking red dirt and leaving blood fair exchange we say. SL TFTC and the views

Last of four found during a short hunt just a bit south of home.
Came from above and risked the slippery slope to get to GZ.
Thanks for the cache Freddo

Found after a quick scramble up a steep hill from the lower track - signed log

30-Aug-15
We were in the area to knock off a rather difficult Wherigo, and decided to keep going onward to this one. Two of our party had already found this one, being an older cache, so routes were suggested and after a steady climb we were at GZ, with Munja getting hands on this one first. Thanks for the amazing views on a cool winter day and TFTC Freddo!

Took a long lunch to find some peanuts. There were trees for life workers near by spraying weeds but I don't think that they even noticed me. Lovely views from Gz photo attached. Thanks Freddo for another one.

Found it second time. Great fun looking for it.

16-Dec-14
Beautiful place!

01-Feb-14
What were we doing out here today? 40 deg plus certainly made it much harder to scale the slope. Too hot to hold onto rocks and grass making the terrain all the more difficult. A great spot and some great photos. Don't forget your camera if visiting this spot. TFTC

First of all it is very convenient that you have the correct footwear because I was wearing flip flops and it didn't work out that well! A beautiful little ledge! TFTC

10-Nov-13
Found with CJ and this afternoon whilst on a drive through the Adelaide hills and visiting with family.

We'd been nearby doing some higher DT caches and thought we'd go for a walk up into the hills for the views and to find this one. CJ read out the description and after a decent little climb we found the GZ location . Fortunately there were no muggles around to bother us near the GZ at this time of the day.

Anyway, it was a great afternoon to chase down South Australian caches. Thanks Freddo for your cache. We really liked this one. SL TNLN TFTC

Am I likely to come back here other than to find another cache.......not for Peanuts. Actually, the humble peanut is not actually a nut, it's a legume. What does this have to do with this cache?? Nothing!! TFTC Freddo.

14-Jan-12
Found with our friends gherkominator on another fun caching day!

I think we approached this one from the wrong side (just after finding "Sparrows Hidden Treasure". Some went the straight up the cliff was and some took the windy path route. (And some did neither and waited at the bottom)!

Apparently it was a really good cache with lots of items in we wanted to swap, but the swag was left in the car!

We may return (from the other direction) to do some swaps and show the lazy geo-people the cache.

Found with our friends Jeffeddy on another caching day... approached this cache from what seemed to be the wrong direction!! Jeff geo-mat found quickly once they got there! TFTC!!

NUTS! [8)]

Talk about heart rate escalation! Work shoes on steep grass surface, near cliff face = frightened chilli.

Careful does it around here. Funnily enough, I saw the same two ladies pacing it out beneath me as I saw walk past the mine opening as I was looking for the previous cache ... I held back my impulse to wave and shout "hi" lest I start sliding down this hill.

Nice size container and HEAPS of swaps!

Lovely day walking in the winter sun, with picnic lunch nearby. Gorgeous locale for a cache!

10-Jul-11
This one was a bit out of the way, but it was a quick find once I reached the GZ.

Thanks, Freddo!

Decided to pick up this cache whilst doing the morning MTB cycling run, as I knew this spot and it is a great way to get to Mt Lofty.

Came in from the track below, which made for a slippery ascent [xx(].
An interesting view, but difficult access Twisted. Easy to understand why people like to live around here Cool.
Took keyring. Left dice. SL.
Thanks for one more Freddo.

Found via a short detour on the way home from work. *Recommended* for the great views, although I wouldn't recommend doing this in leather office shoes with little grip. SL. TFTC.

Day 218 of non-stop caching.

We arrived at gz today to discover a cache in much need of maintenance. The log, lid and swaps were strewn about the cliff top but no sign of the container. We did a little tlc on this one and replaced the container and log book. Have hidden it where we thought it belonged (matched coords given too). Cache is all good to go for the next finder, but Freddie, it might be a good idea for you to go verify the location Smile

Second find of the night with Bek-theraccoon. Found the cache (the bits that hadn't blown away). Replaced container, log, swaps, and stash note. Freddo it may be worth double checking our placement. BTW great view. TFTC

18-Sep-10
We definently found this one true to its terrain rating! I think we made it more difficult for ourselves, once we were on the right side the cache was obvious, just a matter of getting there!! TFTC Smile

10-Apr-10
Some good navigation skills needed for this one.

What shrub? Its rocks or trees around GZ. TFTC

Didn't have the energy to go to work today, so went caching instead. Quick find after a few slips and slides on the dry grass. The cache container is damaged but pretty sure it was still mostly dry. Great view. TFTC.

Chilling out before a big weekend
Thought I'd walk up the hill, round the bend
A precipitous spot
And I got rather hot
But I found it, I logged it, pressed Send

Great views. Found it nice and easy. (see pic)
Thanks Freddo for the cache. Smile

Found the cache at 1.50pm. Lovely view - also lovely day too. No swap, SL. Thanks Freddo for organising the cache and hunt.

As I approached this one the earworm started "Slip sliding away....". Thanks Freddo, great views but it's a long way to walk to the shops.

Find 650 My Way Without a GPS at 1.30pm
Easily found with a reasonably accurate Google Earth image.
Took Nothing
Left a $10 Keyring
No muggles today checking if I was using a GPS.
Thanks to Freddo for the cache.

Found it in the dark with Badooleoo and t3h, after it had been raining! About 30 min after we found this it really started pouring down!

24-May-09
I insisted on getting closer and when I zeroed into the spot darksidelemm and t3h came down. I eventually found it soon after.

17-May-09
Wow I didn't know there was one up here I must come back!

I have walked up here from the bottom a couple of times in the past and yes I have done it at night too Razz. Its quite a good hike!

Found with Racing Stripes during an evening's caching adventure. Coming from the top we then walked all the way down on the path, and then climbed straight up from the bottom - whoops.

Easy find, TFTC. Good views Smile

Found with Justcameron, we tried to make it harder by taking the long way up, but what a magnificent view! TFTC!

Firts Cache for the day. Be careful of the bee hive close by.

21-Sep-08
At first my GZ was pointing elsewhere but then it was only 2 metres out once it settled
Took plactic toy and Left keyring
Thanks Freddo

Arrived just on dusk but had a torch. Easily found but you need to be careful in the dark - it is a long way down. TFTC.

31-Aug-08
A good one to do to warm up on a windy cold sunday. Loved the view and the location. Took the gc. Thanks Freddo

16-Aug-08
Little shonky is allergic to Peanuts, so I left her home this time. Interesting approach in wet grass, slippery slidey I must have made a funny sight, not that anybody was watching. Left a geocoin, and came home with wet, dirty pants.

01-Mar-08
At WP1 for Adit up I was considering tackling this cache on foot by charging up the hill. Discretion won out and the geomobile tracked around to a much easier attack point. At GZ the arrow was pointing at the obvious location based on the clue, but knowing Freddo I knew that it that would be too obvious. Cache was eventually found (suprisingly there was poor sat-loc here today)and the visit logged.

Thanks Freddo

09-Feb-08
We had a go at this one. Got 30 m. below it and then 30 m above it and then decided, as Shakespeare put it:

'The better part of valour is discretion; in the which better part I have saved my life.'

Thanks anyway Freddo

30-Nov-07
Fabulous views from up here! I imagine Snoopy would love to set up his kennel here, and dogfight the Red Baron in the skies above Adelaide.

I should have worn better shoes for this cache, as I ended up slipping over, and sliding the last couple of metres to the cache. That was fun, though getting a bit close to the edge!

Took: TB
Left: tape measure keychain

Thanks Freddo!

16-Nov-07
rough terrain in thongs!!!!

Found by The Surfing Mongoose and The Alpha Mongoose. Nice hide, hard to get to!! Watch out if allergic to bees as some bees have set up a small swarm nearby.

23-Sep-07
Took a little while to find. GPSr was telling me GZ was a little to the west! Ignored the GPSr and found it within minutes!

Would love to live up here! Better buy X-Lotto!

Took keyring. Left nothing, sorry!

Thanks.

16-Sep-07
Very cold, very windy, and occasional sideways raindrops. The locals were staring incredulously out their windows at us carrying a baby in this weather. She was wrapped up like a bug in a rug though and thought it all so funny.
Mum & Bub left final approach to me. Good spot.
Left a keyring, took Livistona Australisis coin.

16-Sep-07
Made this a much longer walk than it needed to be. Good exercise. Last bit was tricky with slippery grass after the morning rain. Very windy up here, but still good views. At least it was easier returning to the car.

Left geocoin. Thanks Freddo

My first cache. Great views of Adelaide!
