A great park and playground, but not one of my best cache hides. Time to let someone else have this 150 metres.

Found this one after a long search.
I started out exactly where the GPS said to look and came up with nothing.
I expanded the search to 10m and still nothing.
It was not until I crossed the creek to check out a likely hide that the find was made.
Great park for the kids but maybe the co-ords need an update.
Cheeers and happy caching.

Uh, it's still there, the container has now lost its lid but it's still there.
In for a looong day of caching in the company of mtbikeroz.
Nice park, might wanna come back here over Summer.

Thanks MtnLioness & Black Bunny for confirming it's still there. I have some time up my sleeve and will fix it up soon. Cheers
After several unsuccessful visits, we found it fairly quickly this time, by ignoring the GPSr and using a bit of logic, as well as looking on the northern side of the creek. Log a bit damp and full, and container rusty. Thanks, The Barramundis.
After several unsuccessful visits, Just a cacher & I finally found it, and fairly quickly this time. Back to the basics of ignoring the GPSr and using a bit of "if I was going to hide it" logic
Thanks for the cache The Barramundis.
Thanks for the cache The Barramundis.
Could need a service call one day. The log is filling up and I had to flip through a few times to find the last entry date.
Tin is starting to rust a bit too, and might start degrading faster over winter. Should be OK for a while.

After DNFing the nearby cache, I wandered over here for a consolation prize. A dog-walking muggle nearly followed me all the way round the oval, but I made it without incident.
This one was obvious to me (this time). A bit of a scratch and a scrape and I signed the log.
Off to work with at least one for the day.

Great park, could find it initally, actually I did find it but didn't think it was the cache, so climbed the rope "castle" and came back and checked it, oooohhh a log, it must be the cache..... Now back at the park trying to lead the mini-me away.
Had been past once before in fading light. today after a brief search the cache was soon in hand.
Thanks for the cache Barramundi's!

A nice walk through the park lands to the cache. There was a cricket match near by and a few muggles picnicking but out of sight and a quick find was made. Thanks Barramundi's.
Wasn't confident about getting this one as there were a few muggle kids playing but upon reaching GZ there was nobody about. Spot on coords had the cache in hand quickly. It was just as well because as I was leaving 4 car loads of muggles arrived and started heading my way. TFTC
Found at 17:00 on the way home from work - after a short walk in the rain. This is indeed a great park, when Toddler Tardis is old enough to walk we'll be sure to visit this place. SL. TFTC.
I spent another couple of hours of caching in the eastern suburbs as my little cousins wanted to go out to find some treasures again. Good thing for them is that it's near a playground (as many caches in this area are) so they can also run a muck afterwards. GPS was spot-on, before I know one of the girls already had the cache in hands. TFTC, very nice area with a playground 2.0!
Found it easily, this is a very nice park, thanks for bringing us here.

Easily found today, Christmas eve, as the park was deserted!!! Merry Christmas and TFTC!!!!
Found as a part of Team SaintsMadHouse and now that the kids have grown we each have our own accounts to finddd geocaches with separately wherever we go!Great park to find during an afternoon of playground caches. kids loved it, easy find and log, took tiny teddy bear and left coin and tiny beads.
Had tried to find this one once before but had to abandon the search because of the council workers busy right near the GZ and me in my work attire seemed a bit out of place especially as it was spitting with rain but today no problems it was right were I thought it would be. The kids enjoyed the park. TFTC

Easy find with 4 very keen geokids who had lots of energy to spare after rain called off sport! The creek wonderfully full and they all ended up a little browner and wetter than when we came!!
Almost an adventure driving through the car park with all of those roots pushing up the asphalt there. Luckily no mini muggles around today.
A quick find, then off for more.

This has been known to be a bit difficult to find at times, but I'll check it out.
Out for a night caching raid with Paris Laura, this was a very dark park at night for two lady caching alone, but we tried anyway to no avail, got tree litter in our hair and the stupid old dead tree nearby wouldn't stop creaking spookily !!
Out in the dark with MtnLioness we attempted this one but alas one of many DNF's for this area. Will try again another time in the day time.
Could not for the life of me find this cache! Geovoluntold group couldn't see it either. Please check up on the cache to make sure it is still there or provide more hint please.
me and 20 others where all looking for it. we looked for around 30mins after finding the ? made with rocks. believe that this cache has been muggled. please check as i dont think that a 1.5 star should be very hard to find for 20 people.
Why ohhhh whyyyyy did we find this one so hard on all the other attempted visits...we can only blame muggles or so many occasions..the rest of the time - we have no excuse.!!! Easy find on a quiet monday afternoon

Wow! What a great area and so big.
Lots of sports fields and play equipment.
Never knew the area before this visit.

Started out on the wrong side of the drainage. Finally decided to use geo-sense instead of satellites and made the find. Tough one!

Kids playing in the creek restricted our search somewhat... back another day.
Revisiting a DNF from earlier in my caching career, can't work out how I missed it now! TFTC
A change of focus for my ride to work saw me hitting the eastern suburbs this morning.
Haven't found a Barra cache for a long time. Duly Found and Signed on a very wet log book.
Me and Johnrkenedy have visited twice now and can't find it. Looked pretty thoroughly. There are some recently removed trees in the area, so we're wondering if it's been accidentally removed? Either that, or we're not looking hard enough!
...update December 16th....we went back and looked harder. Cache was covered by bark 'n such. Strange dude smoking a cigarette across the creek, but he didn't see us.

Found it after a bit of a search. Started at this location but obviously didn't look hard enough the first time. It pays to be persistent. Will come back with the geokids one day.TFTC
In the park where we used play with our daughter many years ago. Found by friend Mark on his first geocaching expedition. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Found on the Keeping Ahead Tour 2009.
Finally! after 3 or 4 trips to this cache, I've finally got it.
Thanks

Thank you to Squizzie19 for replacing the log book, and also ADV, CJb70aus, skippypom for still looking.

This one is still here. Someone has been kind enough to put a fresh bit of paper in a waterproof bag so all good.
This should be listed as still active as the lopped tree has not effected the hide.

in a lock-seal bag. I reckon that you can reactivate this one. TFTC

Glad I didn't read the logs on this one (usually the other way around) as I did find the cache and fairly quick too, after a small conversation with a dog muggle to pass the time until she moved on.
Logbook is saturated however so I signed a dry leaf, which are plentiful here, and popped that in the cache.
Nice park, TFTC

Sounds like I'll have to find another spot. You can still enjoy the playground...
Yes, the recently lopped tree makes one wonder. Two good looks now and nothing to show for it. What is it with the caches in this suburb? Or is it me...?
GPS all over the place, looked around area: one tree lots of hidey holes lying on ground - council vs termites. recommend visit and possible archive or replacement.
it became too dark to see by the time darksidelemm and I got to this one so I had to leave it. No doubt darksidelemm will come back for this.
A nice park, which we didn't spend long enough time at.

After threading my way through the roadworks, I approached this one from the tennis courts and found a good spot not too close to the equipment. Thanks.

This cache was found as part of my City and surrounding suburbs invasion. Thanks to all who placed caches allowing me find nearly 200 caches in 7 days.
took a bit of persistence but in the end found it. Well hidden so you really do need to look hard. We almost gave up. Lucky we got a stick and poked around.
This was another one I just couldn't locate- had a good look around though and this was a fantastic park.
An easy find in a park I know quite well. My army unit has the right to the freedom of the city of Burnside and this park is usually where the parades are held before we march off down Greenhill Rd to the council chambers for a shindig.
This was done last in Sept 06 but I think another one is planned for this year.
The log sheet was a damp soggy mess so I took this to dry it out and replaced it with a new sheet.

Last find for the day. Muggles were all over the place but we got it without being seen. Didn't sign logsheet - it was too wet and falling apart. Tried to dry it, but is still pretty damp. TFTC! It was in a great spot!!
Foraged around and found it at night. It is a little waterlogged and the log needs either drying or replacing. TFTC
