Made A New Account Found It On My Old One TFTC

17-Sep-10
Knew the cache had been archived due to problems with it, but also knew it was still in-situ as others have logged since (although they wouldn't have been able to sign the log book).
Finally going past today and found that the cache wasn't just waterlogged, but had been muggled, with contents strewn around by the creek.
Found the lid, pages of the logbook (which I'll try to dry out - email me if you want it), broken pencils, a plastic logbook bag, a rusty pencil sharpener, and some other stuff which now looked like crappy rubbish, but I suspect was once swaps. Base could not be located, but I suspect it has floated down stream.
Gathered all the bits up, along with some other rubbish and removed; and since removal has been binned.
An interesting little spot.
This will be the final smiley for this cache now.
Thanks Team Willy Wallies and Scouts_Honour for your original placement, I'm sure everyone who came enjoyed the little spot.

Thank's i,riblit at least the vegetation will have a chance of recovery now.

03-Dec-09
In order to log a cache the log book must be signed.
My earlier note about maintenance has been ignored.

25-Nov-09
Didnt record in log book as the cache has been damaged by water. Needs attending to.

18-Oct-09

24-Sep-09
Found it relatively quickly, but needs maintenance. Completely waterlogged (including log book).
Creek ran a 'banker' above hight of cache earlier in week.

01-Sep-09
Found on August 7 but didn't log the find then - just the fact that it was wet and soggy. Couldn't sign log.

29-Aug-09
Wet wet wet. Needs new log books and maybe a care instruction on how to put the log awat to keep it dry.

Hide was fine with a layer of water in the container which would not have hurt the swaps but damaged the logs.

TN LN could not sign the log as it was wet.

The cache is rather wet, log book is unreadable as its full of water. There was an inch of water in the bottom of the cache

07-Aug-09
Found it ok but unfortunately container has water in it and everything very soggy.

21-Jun-09
Easily found but the cache is completely soaked and needs attention (as per other logs). We drained out the water but thats only atemporaryfix.

18-Jun-09
Came along with my son and my daughter
To find this cache all filled up with water
Some muggle was careless
Just lights-on-upstairless!
A maintenance log now I oughta

18-Jun-09
Some mug has pulled this cache out, had a look and left it with the lid off. Completely filled with water. Everything totally soaked, new log book will be required, old ones still (just) legible. Drained and replaced the cache where it looks like it had usually been hidden, but it needs attention.

18-Jun-09
We have been watching this cache for a long time & is in serious need of maintenance but neither of the owners has been on since 2008. The location of the cache is also causing damage to the local environment each time it's visited as it's on the edge of a waterway. We have tried to contact both owners in the past re this cache without response.

Walked along the riverbed before remembering something about a geohighway in the logs, then saw the location straight away. The trail and cache location have become pretty well-worn over the years. Covered the cache with some leaf camo after tucking it back into the hiding spot. TFTC.

The creek was bubbling away and was quite deep near GZ so I was careful not to fall in Smile
After a couple of false starts I eventually found the correct way into GZ and began my search for the cache.
Found without too much poking around I'm happy to say Big Grin
The inside was a bit wet, but the important bits of the cache were still dry Smile
I signed the book and removed a few items that were never going to recover from the drenching.
