This cache has not been found for years. I believe it was a casualty of a control burn. I found a blackened GZ about 2 years ago and the only sign of a possible cache was a spring binder which I assume had been a log book. I have personally tried to contact the cache owner to no avail.
Couldn't find this one... The photos pinpoint where it is but simply cannot find...
It is about 2 years since this cache was found, I suggest it be maintained or archived.
Could not find it with three looking. But enjoyed that part of the park I have not been too. So win win for me.
Given the length of time since this one was last found, perhaps the owner could give it a check?
This was my second attempt, hunted for about 30 mins, couldn't find any trace.

not quite sure if this cache got burnt in a controlled burn or is very tricky the owners might need to check this one. but we didnt find this one.
I had never visited this peaceful part of the Park.
There has been fire, presumably a control burn, right up to the trees and GZ was black as black.
I suspect the cache was a casualty

Having trekked from the far west of the park this wsa to be the most easterly point on the trip. All the way up the hill but need to go further. Some 4.5 star terrain awaits in my search for a little guy named Snorgdelf. Touch warm for the lilys at the moment but it's obvious they would be profilic in the winter months. TFTC jsknicholson.
...reliving the 50th birthday bushwalk some (mumble) months ago...such a restful spot before tackling the climb back up Berri Werri Track...

We parked by the remembrance plaque and read all about the Japanese cherry trees, before setting off across the boardwalk. Left Percy the Penguin TB. TFTC.
A very tranquil spot and the perfect place to finish my trek around Belair.
Thanks for the cache, jsknicholson

What a great place! Met some other cachers while visiting my travel bug. Dropped off Harry Bow Bear TB. Gained quite a nasty leg injury on a nearby log. Oh well! Geodad picked the right trail to go on but came a few minutes after me. I had to make a 90 m descent down the hill! TFTC
We definitely approached this from the wrong direction... after making our way down the hillside, the cache was in hand.

it took an enjoyable walk through the park to find this one with team canyonero
Found after careful searching, no snakes around today thank god. Sl left small toy and took the TBfor a ride around rAdelaide. TFTC
Easy find in an amazing area! Definitely need to come back with a camera when the lillies are flowering!
Found on a day walking around Belair. Stunning location, I felt bad tramping through the lilies. No pencil, so I put 3 tears in the bottom of one of the pages.

I took the athletic approach for this one. This is actually one of my favourite places so it was nice to come back for a visit.
It was a perfect winter's day today so we decided to have a nice walk in Belair National Park. We were very lucky and spotted 6 koalas on our walk. One of them we could nearly touch (see photo).
GZ is indeed a lovely location with some of the lilies already blooming.
I forgot to bring a pen and there was no writing implement so we couldn't sign our name. The geodaughter loved the Pink badge and we left a footy memorabilia.
Thanks jsknicholson for bringing us here!

Beautiful little valley I'd never been in before. Bit of fun with the slippery hike back up to the road! TFTC.
I really enjoyed the walk to the cache- it was such a perfect day, with no one around. Even got a few blackberries out of it TFTC.
Having failed dismally while searching for another nearby cache, this one was what was needed to fill the void. Some nice lilies around, but they're rapidly being swallowed up by the hated blackberries. TFTC.
Foudn this one after 10 mins of searching. A nice quiet corner of the park at 7:30pm. I rode my bike down, but the trek back up to the top of the hill was a hard one. SL. TFTC.
For some reason kept going the wrong way on this one - totally my own terrible map reading and also maybe cos I was dragging the reluctant geoteen along with me. Once I started following the map we went straight there! To see a man we had met earlier on the trail, who asked us if we were still 'hunting' hmmmm .... anyway waited for him to leave and then found it fairly easily!
Saw my first ever snake on the way back, which I found very exciting - apparently geoteen didn't lol ..
Sat lock was a bit dodgy under the trees and kept moving a bit but was dead on once it settled down.
Left Holden Keyring, Took Commonwealth games coin - TFTC SL

Spent the day caching in the park coming in from Upper Sturt so had a lovely walk to GZ. An easy find before taking a rest in this lovely part of the park before continuing onto the next cache. TFTC
A nice walk to the cache on a track used by many muggles for exercise. Took a golf ball and left a "party" ball. Tftc.
found today with saggybaggyelephant while searching for another in the area. great, GREAT place here. got a good walk in and the weather was fantastic.

Found relatively easily. My sat lock was being a bit flakey, but it was faily obvious where it was going to be.
Stunning spot though - looking forward to going there when the lillys are in bloom!

To think we were here about 18 months ago and didn't even know there was a cache nearby. Left Pirate Pete too.
Loved the lillies. Nice stroll down to GZ. A bit harder on the way back to the geocar on a hot day. Thankyou for bringing us to such a gorgeous spot. TNLNSL.
Cheers & TFTC!

Took a wrong turn before turning on the GPS and went for a long hike up the asphalt. Not to worry, I needed the exercise. We found this cache with my Mum and her beagle Gretal. This is the most beatiful cache locations I have visited so far. Lillies are out atm and it is lush, green, beautiful and peaceful. TNLN Thanks for the experience.
Great spot. Found after a few minutes. Took wizard card, left a coin. TFTC, Cheers, Sheplaw.
What a beautiful area of the park - in all the years of visiting Belair I haven't been up this valley. So thanks for leading me here. We visited this cache on our mountain bikes and then took off up that very steep slope!

from the last car park, take the low road, not the high road and you'll get to cache much easier !

A great spot to sit and relax, though there aren't any flowers out at the moment. I took the long way in, and the short way out, so now I know the easy approach.

An easy walk to GZ and after a short search Mrs A. located the cache.
The lilies were just starting to show through. The periwinkle would make a spectacular show when in flower. Incidentally, I saw more lilies on the return walk when I wasn’t looking at the GPSr every few minutes!

What a pretty spot, out of the way and very quiet. The avenue of sequoia trees is looking great and the lillies are starting to come up.
Fantastic sequoia trees at this spot. Thanks for introducing us to this lovely corner of the park that we didn't know existed.
The new track linking the cherry blossoms to the sequoias is lovely and made the approach to this cache easier than we expected. No lillies in flower this time of year but the magnificent avenue was still there to be admired. Took nothing, left wibble bucks.
I love this spot - always a worthwhile destination for a run, and now I have Wibble dollars to show for it! Satloc in the valley was getting very dodgy in the late evening and in the end I followed Mr & Ms Wibble's footprints through the lilies. Took: Wibble dollars, left: two-for-one drink vouchers for the Agnes Waters tavern. If anyone is going to Town of 1770 in Queensland (seriously nice place) they can use these.
What a great place! Managed to park 350m away, and then a beautiful flat walk! Great cache to end the year on! Tnln tftc.
Found on the bikes with nephew at 8pm. I remember back in the 70's when all the cherry blossoms were here. Still a nice spot though, TFTC.
The new path to the GZ area (over the bridge and along the boardwalk) wasn't on our maps but was a very pretty walk with a fair bit of shade and definately better than following the road.
This just goes to show that you can go to a place for most of your life but never see all the thing that there are to see. I had no idea the Japanese cherry blossom memorial was here .

Took the high road came down on the low road. Lovely walk. Took gc. Thanks for the cache.
The gps led me on a merry dance initially and the tracks through the lilies didn't seem to make any sense. I was forced to back off and try a fresh approach from a different direction. Homed straight onto the cache that time. + Rocky High TB. T4TC.
Found at 12:20. My map didn't have the path going all the way, so I took another steeper route. The GPS decided to send me 50m up the hill, then changed it's mind and sent me down again for a quick find.
It is unfortunate that there is a distinct geotrail of crushed lilies to the cache.

The Lilies are in full bloom. The area has been tidied up due to the official unveiling of the plaque close by. The cache is in good shape. Thanks for showing us another beautiful spot.
My husband came with me to keep me company at Belair Natonal Park for the day. We enjoyed our walk. We admired the beautiful valley. Thanks for sharing with us.
Thanks jsknicholson for the cache.

What a beautiful valley - thanks for 'taking' us there. Geo baby (22 months) whinged all the way back up the hill - but it was truely beautiful and worth the complaints.

Just one of those magical, sunny, still days of autumn. I had the world to myself in the late afternoon as tracked in the hard way. Took dino TB, left eTrex venture Tb. Thanks jsknicholson, I have enjoyed both your caches.
Took the geokids on a walk today in great weather. Looks like Parks are putting a new path through to the Redwoods. Took the Geocoin and left Dino TB.
I have had this one on my list for a while and today finally made it to the cache.
We picked an interesting approach. It6's funny going up to go to a valley.
Still it all worked out in the end and the ride back on the bikes was excellent.
Dropped off the TOL coin

A nice and easy find. No swaps. Thanks for bringing us to the nice location and the cache.
An interesting down hill journey to retrieve this one. Boy am I so unfit. Took a golf ball and left a shark. Thanks.

Hmm- not sure we found the ideal way to get to this one- but then- maybe there is no ideal way. I suggest that waypointing your parking spot could be helpful though.= we ended up on a different track from the one we had come in on. Left a lobster measurer(not that anyone will need it right here) and took a great whistle (really loud). Those who heard whistling in the park- it was us, not a fire siren or the train.
A bit of a stroll to get this one, and yes the lilies were in flower and very pretty indeed. Satlock wasn't brilliant down there but found it after a few false tries. TNLNSL.
Previous undated log was by a muggle dog walker who found it. Thanks jsknicholson.

I had intended to leave this solitary one in Belair Park until some more appeared, but as I was heading to one of the Trivia caches it appeared on my radar only a kay away. What the heck, I thought and so parked on Sheoak Rd and did the quick dash in to get it.
The area around GZ was absolutely stunning, and I can see why JSK wanted to show us this place. Nice one
Swapped an Egyptian figure for a Roman one. No lilies near the cache but I did pass some on the way in (pic)

Found after a bit of cross country short cuts. Nice spot TNLNSL . Noticed the lillys are just popping up out of the ground again TFTC
Another one down on a very successful day in Belair NP. There is a (very steep) road going in nearby, it is no threat to the cache, but it will be interesting to see if that road will be public, and if so, if the muggle traffic increases.

A very picturesque cache location, but we all felt pretty stuffed due to the long walk from the nearest carpark. Our attempts to find a shortcut on the way back failed miserably, and resulted in us climbingjust as much and travelling a lot further! TFTC.
Nice stroll down to this pleasant location.Saw a couple of koalas on the walk down.Picked up Geocoin. Will move it along soon.
Nice walk down on this very warm day. The temperature dropped several degrees by the time I'd reached the bottom. Lilys were very much past their prime with their leaves yellow-green lying flat on the ground or draped over logs. Dropped off Albida 20 2006 Mar Signal Geocoin. Took Ngendo TB. Thanks for the cache jsnicholson. Cheers!
Lovely stroll to a beautiful cache. All fresh and clean after the storm last night. Still plenty of flowers to be had, although you would have to say they are past their best.
Walking down I passed a happy camper coming out. I reckon it would be a lovely spot. Not last night. The camper was sans shoes though!!
Love your work. Excellent cache.

Just about to head towards GZ when we heard a vehicle and lo and behold a ranger appeared. She stopped to chat and said that they don't very often see people in that part of the park. Klem thought quickly and said that we saw the lillies from the road above and thought we would come and have a look. She told us that she had sprayed poison higher up so we promised not to stray off the track (with no intention of going 'further up'.) Once she was out of sight we headed to GZ - by this time we had lost sats and had to wander around till we found them. We left Australia Geocoin 2006 and a snake and klem bear and took wildflower seeds. Thanks jsknicholson for bringing us to this delightful spot and also we loved the appropriate logbook.
Great excuse to buy plants from the nursery in there. There are starting to be quite a trail to the GZ. Cheers
Our 2nd for the day as we cycled around the park. Rode halfway up the hill and looked at the GPS. It was pointing out to the left and we thought that maybe we had to go in on the firetrack at the bottom, so rode back down again. That track had a dead end, so up we went again! Left the bikes on the side of the road halfway up the hill and scrambled down. Beautiful spot with the lilies in full bloom. Well worth the effort to get there (and we won $2 with the scratchy). Like the log book!
