Well the weather forecast wasnt much chop, but the reality is that it turned out to be a fairly reasonable day So I tackled this cache for a very pleasant meander around this area. An enjoyable cache, and something different.Heres a favourite point first a great ideaTFTC

After a very enjoyable and successful evening last night, solving puzzles and exchanging caching stories, this cache was returned to be top of mind. I collected the audio file in June 2022 and it has occupied some space in the cloud ready for today.

I got up and had breakfast, did a few chores then decided to bake some scones. For that, I needed some sugar, but there was no need to visit the neighbours as there was plenty in the cupboard. But I digress.

While the scones were baking I listened to the podcast and made a few notes to make the task in the field a little easier. No, I wasn’t cheating, just ensuring my success via technology, and making sure I was not going to be outdone by unclear skies. Soon the notes turned into a recipe far more complex than scones, and a fantastic plan was hatched. The podcast was transferred to my phone for use in the field (second hearing), the map was indelibly impressed onto my brain, and the running sheet was printed for use in the field. I can sometimes mess up the field notes, so any help here is a bonus.

I headed out early with about 40 minutes up my sleeve for the field activity. The audio goes for 32 minutes, so I should have enough time. I parked near the cluster, the major density of waypoints then ventured in. No need to count the seats, I have scrutinized these before and had already penciled in the answer for this one at home. Quick check, yep, spot on.

I made my way around the waypoints collecting information, finishing with waypoint X. Waypoint W is no longer available, but I made some daring assumptions and got a plausible number that suited said arboretum. But something wasn’t quite right, GZ was off yonder way, even GSMs don’t venture to be that far away. So I packed up the notes and headed off to meet my parents on our usual timeslot for a Sunday. During which time I sent a message to the CO to find out where I had gone wrong, and a prompt answer came back, indicating I made a mistake with a number I thought was solid. A quick check of the photo from that waypoint and I was spot on. I must have had the wrong tree from Lebanon. But I digress.

Heading back to Adelaide the skies cleared and I ventured into the arboretum again. I found GZ tree and the obvious spot, which proved a little tricky to access. I used a pose more commonly seen in a climbing gym and gathered the container. It was wet and the log sheet was mush. The baggy had succumbed to the elements. A brand new book was collected from my bag, together with a super tough bag I got on a flight in 2009 and has since been keeping some earphones safe. Repurposed, the book looks safe in the double zip lock bag. I wiped out the inside of the container and ensured everything was dry and lid on tight, before putting it back where I found it.

This cache is a ripper, and I can only imagine the lengths the CO went to in building it, let alone the shenanigans that has transpired for past finders. Today this task is much easier with current tech, but I enjoyed the challenge just the same. There is a wide selection of genre’s in the music, you have covered many bases there.

Thanks TeamAstro for this cache, it has been on my radar for a long time and I enjoyed the experience. FP left for your viewing pleasure. Find #8426 at around 5pm

Lovely day for a wander. Was worried I wouldn’t be able to reach this one but some natural TOTTs helped and the wet cache was eventually in hand. TFTC

Hopped out with Jack and Sebastbat to join with Mr froghoppin for some caching around the city and suburbs. A big day out for us country types. So many cars, so many people, but yay... so many caches!

Had walked around here a few years back. Had listed to the dulcet tones of Mr Astro and the amazing musical collection of tocatta and fugues and more again recently.
Today walked dtraight to the point and had the height we needed between us! Thanks son Razz

Thanks heaps to TeamAstro for hiding and maintaining this cache on our SA geo game map Cool

Moving around each and every day finding and signing using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck WinkCoolBig Grin Plenty of that actually!!!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*

Please do stay as safe as possible when caching.
Keep a lookout for bogs, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for any old bugs from alpha to omega !!! . [xx(]

Try to keep Travel Bugs as the only bugs you share and pass on Big Grin
Now everything's opening more - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!

Heaps of appreciation of all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting Cool

Thank you for reading all this addition to the log word count!

I started working on this cache back when I first started geocaching back in 2008. Several re-do visits later and I was still stuck with 2 digit values that I couldn't work out how to resolve. Facing the prospect of returning for a third time, I contacted the CO to at least find out which numbers I needed to revisit. He was lovely enough to share the GZ location with me - I was only one digit out! So fast forward to this evening and an opportunity came up for me to attempt the cache. I spotted the likely location, and lacking a TOTT I managed to grab the cache cover and use that to gain the crucial last few cm. The cache itself is in pretty good nick and the log sheet has actually dried back out, so it's looking OK. Thanks Astro for the cache and the help! Smile

During a previous visit home, kayakviking and I had wandered around, finding all the answers, however didn't have the appropriate tott. Today was the day to finally locate the cache and turn the spot into a smilie. TFTC

TFTC from the Kayakviking!
ANVIC and I finally got the chance to pick this one up when I was back in town having done the sums a while back.
Dried out the logs and bag in sun and tried to keep up out of wet.
All good KV

Very unique multi in one of my favourite places close to home. Was overcast today but the place was empty. Incredibly peaceful.

Unfortunately the peacefulness was completely ruined by the questionable music choices used in this PodCache. Just had to be strategic about when I muted.

The walk around was lovely and like others I had issues with a few of the values. Figured it out by trial and error in the end and made the find after some searching at GZ. It took me a while as I didn't try hard enough in the obvious spot the first go.

Cache is soaked and log is unsignable unfortunately, might need a more waterproof container.

Thanks for this one!

A fantastic little multi this morning and enjoyed walking around, I loved the bee hide out and thought it was a great idea. I’m glad I am tall and could reach this, great for these old caches to be still around. TFTC

Cache #2142. Second find today.

This Sunday afternoon, we went to Waite Arboretum for the open house. Why not try this cache as we have some spare time?

Downloaded the MP3 file last night, as the preparation for today's cache hunting.

Parked at the car park, and walked to the list location. Start playing the MP3 file, and enjoyed the walk.

Had trouble with C and W, but that is close enough to find the final location. After a short search with no clue, I realised that there's one more step. At the real final location, I noticed something odd. Went back to the car, and took a folding chair (very handy tool). With the help of the tool, I got the cache container in hand.

Container is fine. Log sheet is mouldy. Still signed the log sheet.

Thanks for the puzzle cache, TeamAstro.

14-Feb-19
After an unpleasant day at work it was good to get out in nature to walk around the vastly different variety of trees to get the clues, whilst listening to the MP3 (which is a cool idea). The Dragon Blood tree was really quite impressive.
Like Owl I had a few difficulties - went to the wrong tree at first, couldnt find the floating mans year (is it missing? - but guessed the number anyway) and finally found Hughs seat (must have been the 10th seat I looked at after checking them all out!). My final adjusted coords didnt seem correct (yup I somehow goofed "C") but a PAF to the CO put me on track and the cache was eventually found. Fav point for this cache - particularly the lovely area and the audio, which made it quite unique and interesting. Thanks Astro!

18-Aug-18
Owl has been meaning to do this cache for ages, but after meeting the CO at an event got inspired and headed off. Prior preparation helped, but she still managed to a) find the wrong tree, b) get the wrong information from a man, c) are there two sundials and d) Where is Hugh? A PaF got her the right answers and then Hugh turned up. Some natural tools helped at GZ, as Owl's aren't that tall! A fun cache and a good excuse to explore an area Owl hasn't been through before.

Very much enjoyed this cache, on such a beautiful Adelaide winters day!

03-Jun-18
Was studying caches and saw this audio "podcache" that looked like a nice 1-2 hours of walking around the Waite Arboretum. Today was the perfect exercise to explore this one as was one of the most beautiful winter weekend days in quite the while. We were prepared enough to download the audio from home, and set off on our bikes to the venue. There were a few waypoints that had a little struggle, but otherwise all the data points and calculations were done without worries.
We still think there is a problem with W's value, but isn't hard to work out what it should be. Have checked in with the CO to discuss.
A great morning explore, and found the cache in good condition (some signs of dampness). Luckily had the bike to stand on to reach. Many thanks TeamAstro!

Today e.gregory1 wanted to do some more multicaches and asked me along. It was a great day for it. I enjoyed this one - worth a favourite point. Thanks for the cache.

04-Apr-18
Today I spent a good part of a beautiful autumn day travelling around Adelaide with EsromL, primarily to complete a few multis.

I had a listen to this podcast a few weeks ago and decided that it might be easiest to record the instructions as notes before visiting. In retrospect, I think it was the right thing to do, although I did re-listen to part of it 'in situ'.

It didn't take us too long to find the cache, which was quickly signed and replaced.

Thanks TeamAstro for an interesting multi. A favourite point from me for the effort you have put into this one.

31-Jan-18
After doing the hard yards yesterday a gentle stroll to GZ with only the sounds of the birds for company I soon had the cache in hand. Thanks for the PodAdventure - I had a lot of fun.

30-Jan-18
I needed something to de-stress after work so located a nearby multi that didn’t involve darkness (either the late night variety or underground variety). Podcache had a few favourites and not only could I stretch my legs but I could get out the new AirPods for a run. Had fun strolling around in an area I haven’t strolled before. It even involved music to my ears. Finally I made it to the final final GZ and spied a likely spot. A quick trip back to the car to retrieve the only tool I had. Not enough for my 5’3”. I’m gonna need a bigger playlist. So tantalisingly close. I’ll be back.

29-Nov-17
Having looked at this cache icon on the map for quite some time now I finally decided to give it a crack and was able to make better progress than I originally thought. It wasn’t to much longer that I had a plausible set of final coordinates in hand and I was making my way to gz. Once there I had a pretty good idea of where I was meant to be searching and after a little while the cache was in hand and with the log signed I was on my way.

I am not a fan of your music selection!

I have started doing a few more multis recently. This seemed like an interesting one to try. So I downloaded the MP3.

BTW I am not a fan of your music selection!

I listened and listened and made notes at appropriate places.

BTW I am not a fan of your music selection!

An interesting place with spots I had not visited.

BTW I am not a fan of your music selection!

Did I ask "Where did you find that music ?" yet?

BTW I am not a fan of your music selection!

Eventually I had some numbers and then I had some more numbers.

BTW I am not a fan of your music selection!

And finally I headed to a GZ where there was a really obvious hiding place which I confidently accessed. Oh, this one was not a fake!

BTW I am not a fan of your music selection!

So look elsewhere and eventually I decided it must be there. And it was Smile

BTW I am not a fan of your music selection!

A bit of wetness inside the container and a slightly damp log but the bag had largely done its work. Signed the log and sealed tight and replaced as found.

Finally I can turn off the d@mn music!

And just to show I am not that prejudiced against your atrocious choice of music, you can still have a favourite point.

BTW I am not a fan of your music selection!

A photo of X not marking the spot is attached

Another great Pi day adventure. Met the usual list of suspected at the morning Pi event and discussed plans for the day. AnyMules and I had planned for a walk in Morialta but when Firesafe stated he need this cache to complete his D/T grid the plans changed. Cool A happy bunch a me, AnyMules, Firesafe, Doctor Owl, Muff1 and AndyColumbia converged on GZ for that cache. Now where seeing we are already here! Decision made. Morialta out, walk around Glen Osmond / Mt. Osmond grabbing caches in. Unfortunately as AndyC was with child they decided not to join us. Razz Well that was the morning. ! After lunch we split again with just Me, Mr. Muff and Anymules heading over to grab a few around the loftier sections above Waite whilst we did the multi there. Razz
But first there were a couple of ones just below that needed collecting. I had been here once before and tried to get the podcache on my phone. Epic fail. So that part was done back home knowing I would be back some day. Today was that day. [^] GZ was just that little bit out of reach. Twisted Do we walk back to the car and get the portable telescopic elevation device? No teamwork made for an improvised step. The cache had been buried under the camo for a while and it had turned to compost. The cache was located and cleaned. The inside was wet but the log in the sturdy plastic bag was very dry. Smile So I decided my handkerchief would be getting a wash tomorrow and for now it made a great tea-towel and we dried the inside of the cache out. Razz
Thanks TeamAstro for a very different cache. Big Grin A FP from me.

Met up with sir_spectre to get a cpl caches. After a previous DNF this looked like it was going to elude me again. Had to wait a while whilst spectre did the multi luckily i had a cold beverage in the car Smile. After searching GZ and finding nothing we expanded our search to a few other spots and still no luck. A call to the ASTRO helpline confirmed we were correct and permission given to replace the cache. Thanks Astro for a interesting multi

for about the 4 time this year I didn't do over time on a Friday ( busiest day of the week ). Got a call from rod81w and made the detour to the reserve. Went for a stroll around and ended up where we both thought the final should be. Rod81w made a call and permission to replace was given. you are looking for a Tupperware container just bigger than the palm of your hand.

After trudging through Black hill today decided to stop off here. No such luck. I shall return. Cheers

14-Dec-15
This was frustrating ... but fun at the same time!

Took the geokids for a walk on the weekend and between some whinging and complaining due to the heat, I led them to the wrong cedar. Ah, what difference can 3 decades make? A lot! We picked up the rest of the answers, but I needed to go home and stock take as it was obvious that my final coords were way off. Even though we were not rewarded with a find on the first try, the two dragon trees were a hit with the kids!

Came back today and with a couple of kookaburras laughing at me, I made a quick find.

The sign for the correct cedar was completely covered in tree debris on the ground. No wonder I was led astray! After one almighty slap on the head, I returned it to a hanging branch so its clearly visible. The cache was also on the ground, so I returned it up high where I think was the most obvious location.

Anyhows, two nice walks around Waite, a visit to some interesting trees and sculptures I didn't know were here and another smiley.

Found It!
A nice little wander around the trees as I listened to Astro and his strange music on my Garmin Monterra. Some rather strange trees in there too! With the exception of C, I found all the waypoints without too much trouble. The sign I found for C gave a GZ in someone's backyard so I took a guess at what C should have been and got a GZ the looked good. But despite an extensive search of GZ no cache was found so the Astro helpline was called (I think this was the 3rd time we'd called each other today). He confirmed that I was at the right spot and told me exactly where the cache was meant to be but the cache wasn't there. So a new one was sourced from the back seat of my car. I didn't have the small sistema so instead a berocca tube that CPwanderer accidentally gave me a while go was used.

By day's end I had locus cache'd 33 smileys Sad and had 3 DNFs Sad
All in all, a fun day out and some cool caches were found Cool

What a gorgeous place this area is! [^]
We wandered around, crossed a creek, dodged muggles and enjoyed the sights, smells and sounds of spring then capped it all off with a cache find.
Doesn't get much better than this!

It was a perfect spring day,
as Locus cache & I eased our way down Cross road.
The Waite Arboretum was fairly quiet,
as we navigated our way over creeks, through grass and around trees.
We soon discovered that there was a shorter way, but on such a lovely day what was the hurry?
Thanks TeamAstro for the adventure Smile

25-Aug-13
Had done bits of this over a period of time so it was good to have a few spare moments to finish it off well done Astro

20-May-13
Almost a year since this one was last found. It has been taunting us as the nearest un-found cache to home for a while. Wandered about the Waite Campus over a few lunchtimes picking up the odd clue here and there and coming across some very familiar places Wink. Eventually found the original GZ, a nice big tree MissMoo has taken a liking to in the past as a hidey place when we have explored the arboretum (but we weren't the muggles, honest!). Lunchtime today Geodad wandered down to make the find and get the smiley. The skies were remarkably clear Smile. TFTC TeamAstro!!!

08-Jul-12
Finally went and got this cache after getting all the clues a few months ago. This a really nice and quiet area, except for the strange young guy that was singing loudly (and badly) while standing around with headphones on. I hope he wasn't singing to Astro's audio file for this cache because that WOULD be a hard tune to carry. TFTC.

10-Jun-12
A great day for a stroll through the Waite grounds. Thanks TeamAstro for a fun afternoon adventure with the family. The final cache search had us scratching our heads......until we listened more carefully to the instructions...then a quick find. TFTC

09-Jun-12
Ahh, those dulcet tones. Had me seeing stars. Actually not the best day to drag Miss 5 around, being 10deg and overcast, but she loved seeing and feeling the different leaves, cones, bark, statues, etc... Got a little waylaid with Y, but did the required leg and mind work to find GZ, at which point I forgot the hint, but eventually found. Hooray. Thanks TeamAstro and congrats on the 10,000 finds.

07-Apr-12
Sneaky ... but you can not hide from me forever !

05-Mar-12
Thankyou Team Astro for helping us with this cache. Back in March you put our name in the log book as we did the very enjoyable excercise but the cache was missing at the time. We have been meaning to visit the site since then and see for ourselvers before logging it, but still to this day have not had the chance. So I have finally decided to log it anyway and get this one on the board (and a favoutie point for you of course) and at some stage we will go back and find the cache for real!

Thanks again Team Astro for something very different and a nice and very educational walk amongst some amazing trees and gardens.

We really enjoyed the adventure.

TFTC!

04-Mar-12
Finally got around to doing this one and thoroughly enjoyed the meander through the grounds with quite the variety of musical accompaniment. The slates had me confused for a bit - if you count 11 you're in the wrong place - but the music, rather than my GPSr set me straight here. Loved the artwork scattered through the grounds also. Eventually made it to GZ and found what I was looking for after broadening my search a little. Thanks for this one Astro, loved the concept and worth a favourite.

04-Feb-12
Why have i left this one for so long? It was one of my closest to home caches that i had not found... I guess when i started caching i couldn't see any easy way to take the audio with me, but today i borrowed my brothers iPhone and we walked around and had a good time completing your nicely constrcuted cache.
It was a mistake to have not looked at it earlier!
No trouble with any of the numbers and appreciated the repetition of some of the important statements. We appreciated the time and effort you had put into the cache and thought that it was a good way to show off the variety the waite has to offer. Thanks for the cache teamAstro! Smile

Thankyou Team Astro for something very different and a nice and very educational walk amongst some amazing trees and gardens.

We really enjoyed the adventure but we and our our friends gherkominator could not find the cache. Pretty sure we had the right spot (including your adjusted co-ords). The number of slate slabs threw us a bit though.

We really want to complete this one after all the work to get to this point.

21-Sep-11
Nice one to do especially while we are in the area and staying at the Brownhill creek caravan park. Thanks TeamAstro (hope you are having a good holiday)

04-May-11
Everyone else has written a lot about this cache, I'll chip in a few words too.
Done! I took a couple of days to do it over lunchtimes, so it was pretty relaxed really. The slate coordinates had me off for a bit, but a bit of perusing the logs got me on board. And I never saw the gate, even though I remembered the dog when I went back today.
A bit of poking and prodding and the cache was in hand. I didn't take the pathtags that were there; left for people who collect such things.
Enjoyed the music apart from "my silver bell": I can't stand that one. Bach's Toccata would have been fine the whole way through for me.
Thanks, I had a nice walk. Caches like this should remind us "it's not about the numbers".

25-Apr-11
did with a group of cachers who wanted to the podcache.

A great idea, downloaded the file onto various bits of equipment, not such a good idea as we had five or six versions to listen to all at different stages of the music, so confusing, we enjoyed a great walk through the area to GZ, no cache but Waite there's more and with the adjustments and a disturbed Squirrel ( possum ) the cache was signed by a team of cachers TNLN TFTC Team Astro

Been planning this one for a while.. and finally got everyone together to get us all motivated... unfortunately Mrs scoobster was struck down with pneumonia two days before heading off, and Mr Scoobster was coming down with cold.. but that didn't stop them.. off we all headed... antibiotics and all... arrived at gz to start the adventure.. a few late arrivals and we were soon off !.. a beautiful walk... lots and lots of versions of Astro talking...lol.. the guy was everywhere... ! learnt a lot about history, trees and the gardens... loved it!
Got to final destination... found cache and all was well..headed back tot he car where the scooby mobile catering service kicked in... drinks, sandwiches, chips and dip was had by all.
Thanks for this wonderful cache Astro.. loved it!

Well we've eyed this one for a while but needed a prompt from the Geo family to go get it, well attend a nice little gathering of the clan to take a wander around grounds within ears shot of several versions of the Astro file, grabbed a few happy snaps and was it a success... darn right it was, another smilie to the Flipper&co tally-ho file. Thanks to the prompts from the geofamily, and the great company as always guys, oh and thanks Astro for the POD Cache, now we'll have to go practice a whereigo thingy so when we get over to the states in July we'll know what we are doing.

A beautiful day for a walk with friends. There were frogs, flippers, squeakies and scoobsters. The Geo-clan walked up and down collecting the clues. At one point we had 3 or 4 versions of the podcast going which could get a little confusing, but we made it in the end, and survived the diverse array of musical tastes from the Starman.

There was a little possum guarding the cache and keeping it warm, but it wasn't so keen on squeaky's hand so ran up the tree. At least we know the cache is being guarded 24 / 7.

Thanks for an entertaining cache, and a the educational walk.

Day 265 of non-stop caching.

Today I did a podcache and a chirp cache.
The past meets the future.
For now I travelled back in time to the good old days of '06 when this cache was the funkiest thing going around.
The music, well it took me someplace else too.
Been here before but not for some time.
Nice hide Smile

Had a fantastic day following this podcast to the podcache Smile.

Messed up some of my answers on my first trip and missed the cache by one poke of a stick!

Thanks to TeamAstro for all his help in setting me straight. I know he must have longer legs than me though cos I never quite got to the locations before he was off again. Really enjoyed this type of hunt and going to have a search for some more.

Beautiful arboretum too, never taken the time to stroll through the whole area before.

I did also find the coordinates slightly out for the slate clue and found winterdragons coords to be good.

Thank you so much TeamAstro for a days entertainment - a guided tour, interesting facts, music and even a cache thrown in at the end Smile

With nothing better to do today, I figured it was time to go and have a crack at a PODcache. Loved the concept. Got a strange look from a gardener as I proceeded past with Astro's voice blaring on the iPhone. For some reason my downloaded file stopped at 8 and a bit minutes, so it was a mad scramble to download on the go. Wasted a good 10minutes doing that, but better than a 45min drive home empty handed.

Had a couple of hiccups along the way. The first being the slate question...luckily I had observed the correct pieces on my random wandering, and an audio clue put me back on track. Got to the end only to botch the final calculations. But that was soon corrected and cache was in hand, along with a highly sought after game piece.

Took TB. Left GC. TFTC Astro. Very enjoyable.

I've had this on my MP3 player for a long time, but every time I was going past I seemed to be in a hurry to be getting somewhere else. Well tonight I was here on a mysterious mission from a secretive patron of the festive season, and once that was completed, I had no excuses for putting off the podcache any longer. So I followed the clues, and only really came unstuck when I followed Astro's coordinates for WPT Y, as I wasn't quite sure where I was meant to be going. I found myself at a tree with one piece of slate under it - so for future reference that's not the right place, and not the right number of pieces of slate! My coordinates were closer to S 34 58.162 E 138 38.000, but YMMV.

I had a great tour of the arboretum, and finally got to visit the Dragon's Blood tree (dracaena draco) - what an awesome name for a tree, and it's the tree in the Waite Arboretum logo!

Found the cache at the final coordinates okay, as it was half exposed. I couldn't seem to get it covered well on the ground, so I assumed that it was meant to have been placed up a bit higher, and put it up at arm's length. Hopefully that's right [?]

Took nothing, left a TB
Thanks & clear skies Team Astro!

Dropping off the lovely Podcacher.com geocoin.

Really enjoyed the walk on a beautiful morning. Yet another area we didnt really appreciated until we started caching. Laptop on the pram was a bit cumbersome, but survived the trip and allowed us to enjoy the soundtrack. Cache was out in the open so was placed back under the obvious rock. Thanks Astro

A great cache to finish off the day. Loved the walk around, manged to lose the trail once when looking for the rocks but found the rocks anyway. I notice that the old bowling green/tennis court area is no a labyrinth. Cool. A fair few muggles passing near the final location but all was good with a bit of a wait in the shade. Thanks for the great cache.

We have been going to do this cache for a long time but for multiple reasons hadn't got around to it. Today we were cleaning up caches in the area and after our jaunt up Wild Dog Glen decided to move onto flatter ground. Had some technical problems at the beginning using a very cheap basic mp3 player but once we got on a roll we began to move along quite nicely. A lovely walk aroung the aboretum. Particularly enjoyed some of the garden sculpture, and also the music to walk to.

Thought we were at gz but were not having a successful hunt so rang the owner's helpline to be advised it had been moved. But wait there's more! A bit like steak knives. Listened just a little longer and got the calculations for the final gz. Once there made a quick find. Left a path tag.
Thanks Astro for the enjoyable walk, music and interesting information.

I used to work at the Waite Institute and came down this way for a run quite often, or spent some time wandering the rose garden. I thought that I knew the area well.

I enjoyed this tour so much that I went around twice. Truth be told, I miscalulated somewhere along the way the first time around, the error wasn't much but enough to throw me off the scent. Thanks for the walk TeamAstro.

Found My Way Without a GPS on my way elsewhere.
I had collected all the clues on a self guided through the trees months ago.
Confirmed the final location close to my original parking spot and returned today to find and log the cache.
Was that the Southerners practising Tug O' War on the Waite Ovals today?
Thanks to Team Astro for the technology based cache.

This one has been on my list for my previous two visits and finally got at it today. After the rain the grass was pretty wet but not too bad. Nice to cross it off.

This was cache # 12 of 45 for the day, in the company of Alansee on our five day long weekend Adelaide caching Bonanza. This must have been the pre version of werigo, mutter mutter mutter, a great area to visit. My thanks to TeamAstro for the cache.

Found this one completely by accident! Was on my lunch break and decided to take a stroll through the arboretum, trying to find some gumnuts for my cubs to do crafts with. Was walking back up to uni after getting followed around by a pair of very insistent magpies looking for a feed, stopped to look at an interesting spider web and lo and behold! Sorry i didn't do it properly, but thankyou anyway! TNLN

Really enjoyed this cache, got a bit bamboozled (and wet) at times. Two magpies wanted some of our "healthy" snacks. Loved the music selection & commentary.

Found with Racing Stripes. Interesting and different cache - kind of like the music. Thanks for the afternoon's walkies.

24-May-09
found 5.10pm on a wet & rainy day.
Thanks Team Astro for the "Clear Skies" warning, wished we had listened Red Face.
Did my first ever cach in this place many years ago & after 4 years number 200. What an achievment, approx 1 every week. Sad - commitment [?].
Thanks again Astro & we will take note of your weather warnings in future.

Went to find this one at about 1am and realised the location was only open for visitors from dawn to dusk. Another time!

Nice day for a walk.

Got there in the end.

Did see a nice boab tree that made me think I was back in the Kimberly. Wonder how long its taken to get that big and how hard they are to grow down here. I guess global warming will help out.

This has been my closed unfound multi for a few months, but I was waiting (get it?) for an anniversary before I attempted it. So today is the day, and my 800th find. Ducked out while little shonky had her afternoon nap, and ran into a few (quite a few) ducklings. Loved the music to cache by, I'll have to take an ipod caching more often! Thanks Team Astro, very enjoyable.

The co-ordinates for the waypoint YY i found were incorrect.
I took the liberty of writing down the co-ordintes that i found were correct.
These are 3458.160-13838.002

20-Aug-08
Found after about an hour (after a couple of mistakes) in a great location. Not too sure about the accuracy of the coordinates for waypoint YY. Found with Acosador who should publish what we think the coordinates should have been.
Anyway we found it in the end and TFTC, a very interesting multi.

20-Aug-08
Found it after a while, some of the co-ordinates were incorrect so it took double the time that i thought it would.
Nice cache anyways and great location.
I got the help of Perseguidor.

This one probably took longer that it was supposed to. My original calculations put me into Springfield on a roadside but knew that wasn't right. I had gone to 2 wrong trees at the start so recalculations and found the cache after an hour. Spent 4 years of my life studying here and never ventured into the trees while there. TNLNSL

Accompanied with Everlasting and Joan. We enjoyed wandering around the beautiful garden.

Thanks TeamAstro for the cache.Smile

Found the cache with Lava12 and Joan, we all enjoyed wander around the park. Thanks Team Astro for give me the final coords due - we couldn't hear the music... No swap. Again thanks to Team Astro for organising the cache and hunt.

Had this one loaded on the iPod for a while, and it was a very pleasant stroll around on a beautiful day. I even liked most of the music, being into a bit of chillout stuff myself. Lovely walk to find the cache at the end. TNLNSL, thanks TeamAstro.

Nice stroll through the park on Easter Sunday Arvo. Took a while longer than expected , probably around an hour or so. But then again, we were'nt in any hurry. Spent some time searching around a tree, Then #2 geokid decided to have a bit more of a listen to the story. Then found the alternate location pretty quickly. TNLN .. Thanks.

Had this one ready to go for a while and finally got there today. There was as much variety in the music as the trees.Wink Our first cacluation of GZ seemed wrongSad so we had to recheck waypoints until we found we had picked a wrong tree at one stage[:(!]Red Face, so reworked the maths and got it.Big Grin Took TB's and left a GC. Thanks Team Astro for an enlighting afternoon stroll.[^][^]

Not many people around as we wandered all over the place. Saw the damage from the fire - it's a bit of a shame, poor trees. Hopefully most, if not all, will recover.
Took Day of Triffids geocoin, left "Zhunmen, China" diabetes TB. TFTC! It was fun. Let's have some more podcaches down here.

Had a great time rambling around finding this one, even if I did irritate Dylanja by pulling the earphones out every time we walked. Can't say I'm a big fan of some of the music thoguh, Astro Smile. Left Radiation TB, as radio waves seemed kind of appropriate, and I'm unlikely to be near a nuke plant any time soon.

This was an experience, seeing all the work in this area. When I was a local this was not open to the public. I could have coped in a house like that. I really likes the Dragon Tree.
