This will not be maintained and a pity someone thought a throwdown was a good idea.Given that ongoing maintenance was not going to be happening.

Christmas trip to Adelaide 2023. Day 8. Blackwood Day 6. I took a trip from Blackwood to Lobethal today. The main goal was a set of LABs, but in and around the district I had plenty of opportunity to find caches at Balhanna, Lobethal, Charleston and Lenswood. One of them was even a DNF I had at the beginning of the year. I finished with a second set of LABs at Lenswood on their great little pioneer walk along a creek. The day finished with a fantastic lamb pie from Balhanna bakery before heading home for the day.I was sure I had done this one many many years ago, no idea why I did not log it at he time. Today I only found the remnants of a sistema. It would be great if some of these old caches were adopted to others, but that may not be possible anymore. Thanks for the cache voogoofish45189.11 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2019 Jan Watch Me A#392**Albida**

FYI Mr Voogoofish passed away back in 2015. Mrs Voogoofish hasn't logged in since 2017. HFL Grand Final, along with others in the series were archived back in 2013.

If the cache owner is no longer active, I suggest it is time for this one to join the caches in the sky.If we all threw down a mint tin when we couldn't find a cache, no one would ever log a DNF, caches wouldn't receive maintenance, and others couldn't place a cache in an area where one previously existed. Many thanks.

25-Nov-23
Returned today with extra information on where the cache was but it looks like this one has gone missing.Went back to the car and grabbed a minty tin and put in a replacement to keep this one alive.

Unfortunately this was too good for us today.

With my geosister H423L for a caching day before heading to cairns tomorrow. Worked this out but unfortunately could not find. Not sure if it was up in the structure but there was a game of cricket happening and the box had people in it. TFTC

I've driven past GZ about a million times, but it can be difficult to find a time when no one else is around. I know where the cache should have been, but I couldn't find it. Spent a bit of time de-cobwebbing, but no luck was had. I'm aware the CO is unfortunately no longer contactable, so I'll place this one on a watch list.
But... We heard a pair of Boobook Owls calling to each other as we got out of the car, which always gives me a huge smile, so thanks to Voogoofish for bringing me to this spot

No luck here after 30mins of searching with 3ppl looking. Looots of webs but no spiders fortunately.

Staying in Mount Barker over the long weekend with iluvtrekking and caching the surrounds. This morning the geo-husbands decided to do some of the summit hides while Mrs ILT and I caught up on domestic duties and went for a walk in town with the pooches. Thanks voogoofish

Been trying to get this one for a while. When I come to the location it’s usually pretty busy and I don’t want to look around for too long. Came here today on the way home to give it another look. Found it in the first place I looked. TFTC

Today was reserved for geocaching after a busy day catching up on chores yesterday.
Up and away by 9am it was a glorious winter day perfect for a drive through the hills and on to Manum.
Had planned a route to collect various caches and ended up with 35 finds for the day.
Had a great day out. By the time I finally got to Manum it was 4pm the light on the water was beautiful.
Time for a couple more caches on the way home before the sun set, these short days are a geocaching killer.
Thanks to all the cache owners for placing and maintaining these caches for my enjoyment, muchly appreciate it.
Solved the problem yesterday and made a nice quick spider web find at GZ. TFTC

Taking the scenic way back home to Adelaide giving me the opportunity to grab a few caches along the way.

Lots of potential hiding spots and lots of spider webs to negotiate. But eventually found in a logical place.

Thanks for the cache voogoofish.

As per OZGrumpy before, I’m not sure if the coordinates gleaned from answering the questions are now the endpoint of this puzzle - I’m assuming they are because of multiple names in a log.

4pm on a wet Monday is a good time to do this one - I’ve approached at a variety of times up to now and had to just keep driving.

PS: the resident spiders are not giving in that easily.

Thanks for the cache voogoofish. I did the puzzle last minute this morning before leaving home. I turned up at the oval this morning with no one there. I mean who would be, it was just after sunrise. I do a bit of poking around amongst the cobwebs. Wow they are fast, these were apparently cleared only 2 days ago. I grabbed a stick and removed a whole lot of webs to use my camera to see in the hidey holes. Booyeah, a mini container.

This is where it gets confusing for me. There is no instructions for a final GZ as per the description, however there is a log book which has been signed be lots of people. Ah well, follow along I guess. I have signed the log book and claimed the smiley. Thanks again, nice work on this series.

Whilst in the area knocking off Multi's i just remembered i had this, long ago, solved Puzzle burning a hole in my GPS or beginning to Big Grin so i ducked in to make a quick find but most definitely NOT in the 1st place i looked.
It, literally was found some 5 minutes later in the absolute last place i could have possibly been hidden in going on the hint provided.

Cobwebs? Believe me there were plenty of them, but now there are literally none.
Arachnophobics needn't fear a thing and just may wanna come grab this one once solved coz "It's Safe" all 8-Legged activity has been evicted ha ha Big Grin
{There were grumpy Daddy-Longleg spiders crawling all over my hands and arms, i was wiping webs off me for about a minute, seriously lol. They are harmless and don't bother me one iota [^] in fact they are quite cute ha ha Big Grin}

SL at 10:52 on Thursday the 30th of July 2020.

The cache and contents are dry-ish. Added moisture munchers to keep the log dry [^]

Today with COVID-19 requirements still in effect, and with jesswrigley wanting a rest day at home, I decided to head up to the hills to do a couple of OTD series that hadn't been found for some time. These were the March OTD series, followed by the November OTD series, just around Mannum.
In addition, I stopped off at various locations to run along the trails and in reservations/parks to do some fitness. I enjoyed the journey out and about, and made stops in Charleston, around Tungkillo, Palmer, and Mannum. Mannum was a great little spot next to the river, and keen to return in the future to explore around here further.
It was a cloudy, coolish day that helped provide solo motivation at jumping in/out of the car so frequently.

I had been at this location previously in 01/2019 with a DNF, and a subsequent finder had visited the site after me to confirm it was missing. It just so happened that Brad&Janet visited the location before I could act, and they replaced the container on behalf of the CO. It was good to have kept this cache alive.

So today I returned to convert my frowny upside down, and after a few minutes of searching, the cache was found. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks voogoofish for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

22-Jan-20
found with mogni before the Welcome TDU Cachers 2020 event. Last time i was here it was gone, since it has been replaced since then i found the replacement cache. At least the next finder won't have trouble with the cob webs, since i removed them all.

22-Jan-20
On the way home I stopped by this cache as GZ was deserted, the cache didn’t take to long to find.

This evening I headed out to oak bank for an event and stopped to find some caches before along the way and a few after in the general area.

Thanks for the cache

24-Sep-19
This morning we found ourselves in the area and stopped for a coffee at a nearby bakery. While sitting we solved this one and then after finishing coffee we went to find it.
At GZ there were a number of logical hide sites but no luck. We made a PAF to a previous finder who remembered it well and was able to describe the container type and the exact location. Which was empty.
The dilemma was obvious to us. As this CO is no longer with us the only options were replacement without permission (impossible to get) or archive.
We elected to replace it in the correct spot with an identical container. It may or may not last.

16-Jan-19
No luck from me today. Looked at various spots, but unfortunately the cache wasn't found. May need to source some hint from a previous Cacher me thinks.

04-Sep-18
Actually needed a couple of goes to find this one. Not sure why as was looking in the right places.

01-Sep-18
Last weekend a footy match was in full swing. This made a stealthy search all but impossible. Today, there was nary a soul to be seen, and I quickly located the hide.

Thanks for the cache, voogoofish!

but no luck today. A few muggles coming and going interrupted us at GZ too.
Thanks for the challenge voogoofish
will place on the watch list and return asap!

Decided to make the most of the last of the good weather and head off to knock a few off the solved puzzle list. It looked like half the town was at the oval today - and a Tuesday at that. Nevertheless, I was able to make the search and find without drawing too much attention. Thanks voogoofish for the puzzle and the cache.

07-Apr-17
No luck for this one.

18-Jan-17
After attending the Welcome TDU cachers 2017 event I found 2 Smile caches on my way home and this was the second [^]

Finally managed to stop here tonight, while there were no muggles around at all and make a pretty quick find of this HFL cache [^]Cool

With the year winding down I decided to head out to Woodside and Verdun to grab some more caches to go towards my 1000 for the year total. A quality day was had with a total of 31 finds being made. This was the second of many quick finds with Ismartis while on our epic day of 102 finds, 1 DNF and one placement of a cache. A great day with lots of great caches. This was a quick solve ready for the day. Finding the cache took longer than it should have, nice to have a challenge. Tftc

This one has certainly survived the years! Geodad is from across the ditch, so question 1 and 4 were in right his field of knowledge, and the interweb soon helped with the others. The answer sat in the GPSr for ages.

First day of the school holidays brought Miismoo and Dad up into the hills for a visit to the Big Rocking Horse and the Chocolate Factory in Woodside. This cache was a nice detour on the way home. There was a posse of muggles at GZ on arrival, but a nearby playground took up some time before they cleared out. We made the find after a few minutes searching. No cobwebs today fortunately!

TFTC voodoo Fish! Here's hoping for a similar score for the All Blacks in the World Cup rugby final in a few weeks

Some research and we had the required answers. The coordinates generated looked plausible but we were not over confident as there wasn't a coordinate checker. Today we went to look for the cache and after a short hunt, the cache was located. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks voogoofish for the puzzle and cache.

We needed our stealth gear on today. A delightful granny was doing laps of the oval so while she had here back to us we hunted, the rest of the time we sat. Not sure what people would think of us if there was anyone watching. We must have look like a jack in the box. SL TFTC

Owl was heading home the long way, as most of the roads to her house were closed. She decided she might as well make the most of the ride to find a cache she'd collected the information for ages ago. After clearing away large amounts of cobwebs, she finally found the cache behind the thickest cobwebs in the last possible place. That's Murphy's Law for you!

10-Aug-14
I needed a puzzle cache for the month of August, and since I dont get to cache much these days I checked out the puzzles in the area while I was here today. Did the sums before the trip and was rewarded with a smile and a souvaneer for my efforts.

Kids played on the playgroud, hubby kicked the footy and I found a cache - win/win for all of us!

29-Jun-14
This one has been on my hit list for a long time, particularly since I used to work down Mt Barker way and would frequently travel past this area. Even swung by when I first started caching a few years ago, but there were far too many muggles around at the time. Today no such problems presented itself and after a quick search the cache was in hand. TFTC voogoofish!

Had spent the day with Doctor Owl caching along the Amy Gillett bikeway and I called in here on my way home. Big Grin
I had found all the required info before leaving home, so headed in to find the container at the first waypoint. Had a bit of a search where my GPSr was pointing, but nothing there, so extended my search area a little and after a bit of a search I found what I was looking for. [^] [^] Luckily there was no match going on today and no muggles around. Big Grin It would be impossible on game days. Wink
Took note of the coordinates and headed off to find GZ. Found the cache, but the log is wet and the container needs maintenance. Managed to sign the log and replaced everything.
Thanks for the cache voogoofish. Smile

Today our plans are to cache Victor Harbour with earthlight & the x trailers picking up caches along the way, we didn't quite make it that far as we kept stopping to grab some of the many caches along the way, all told i managed 67 with no DNFs the weather held out for us today with slight drizzle towards the end of the night finally turning into heavier rain, gwen from the x trailers hit her milestone of 5000 finds tonight and it was smiles all round, it was a great day had be all and another trip is already being planned to get to Victor with no distractions on the way (yeah right lol) Google is such a wonderful thing when you need answers, worked out while we have lunch and today there are only a couple of muggles in the distance so we had no problems with being muggled out. I thought the caches around the Adelaide hills might have got a little more attention with the nearby Mega Event this weekend. Sadly, it does not appear to be the case... What a shame as the drive through the hills is fantastic and a much better way to break up the trip from Adelaide to Murray Bridge... Ah well, their loss, Ghostgums, Kaisho53 and I were thoroughly enjoying our journey and caches along the way... [^]

Things were pretty quiet at GZ except for some campers in the grounds. I initially thought three of us might look suspicious moving in to GZ, but everything was fine and once in location, I quickly spotted the container... Smile With a convenient banch in place for business, we added our details to the log and I tucked it back a fraction deeper in its den to keep it out of sight... You can't be too careful... Wink

Cheers voogoofish.

I had no problem solving this one being a Broncos fan and a rugby supporter. A couple google searches for the answers to the ping pong questions.

We arrived at GZ to find some muggles camped nearby for the night but the cache was well shielded from their eyes and minds, wouldn't say that if a game was on though. After a quick search Gunnie69 came up with the goods.Big Grin

Found on Day 1 of the pilgrimage to Murray Bridge for the Mega event. Today I was with Gunnie69 ad Kaiho53 as we made away along the Princes Highway, stopping at Cleland Conversation Park, Mt Lofty, Belair National Park, Stirling, Mt Barker, Balhannah, before arriving late in the day in Murray Bridge. Big Grin

Thanks voogoofish for the cache!Big Grin

Great hide. Took us a while to find it, The grandkids weren't much help (4 of them a 7 year old, 5, 4 and 2 year old) they all went in different directions, looking for the treasure. One down the creek, one up in the score box, one heading for the playground and the one up a tree. What fun, what a miricle we found the cache and got all the kids home safe and sound.

Find No. 248. Found with FUF009 at 3.50pm (SA time)
On our holidays to follow the Tour Down Under in South Australia, we decided to hit a few caches in our spare time around the tour route and along roads nearby.
As I had completed the puzzle before Christmas for this one - it was one we had to do.
Took quite some time to locate this one but we were not going to let it beat us. FUF009 decided to be brave and search through the cobwebs (glad it was him - because I wouldn't) and there it was. A nifty little hide.

Out for a couple of quick ones with Mogni between work and tea. Soved the puzzle and went to the grounds. Junior training night. Started searching with them training at the other end of the ground. Clue correct...eeew Twisted. After grabbing a glove ran my hand everywhere and covered myself in cobwebs. Had to use a torch to see the hide in the very last corner (of course). I love all the big ball sports although my favourite sports are played with much smaller balls (golf and tabletennis). Found WP1 after avoiding a muggle who was taking the pre-season training a bit too serious.
I also discovered some cachers thought WP1 was the final stage as the piece of paper with the final coords on was signed at least three times. A short walk later and another name was added to the (correct) log book.

After a breakfast of Strawberries and Pancakes, washed down with a glass of Bubbly Red in geoP's case, we continued on with her Birthday Cache Hunt. geoP had done the leg work and found the first WP but the final find went to geoD. Could'nt find this one. Pretty sure we had the right co-ordinates as the hint totally made sense. Gave it a good 10mins of searching. Maybe it's been muggled, or a super hide?

29-Aug-10
I couldn't work out why this cache was showing as unfound, I was sure that I had found it last year. A quick visit today shows that I was here 9/10/09 while on the Bicycle SA Annual Tour. I must not have noted the visit in the log that I was carrying with me at the time.

I'm logging the visit at todays date so that previous milesones aren't upset.

This one was along a detour to the shops on a Sunday afternoon. These days there is more incentive to go on errands as one can find caches on the way which may somewhat "round about" to the planned destination. A nice hide for the WP and final one. Two muggles kicking a ball were hampering things somewhat but they did not seem to take much interest in what I was doing and left before I located the caches. Took a dog and left a pink golf ball. Thanks voogoofish for the hunt (though I'm almost 4 years late).

Had to outwait a council worker muggle who had picked a nice shady spot nearby for lunch. Geokids were happy playing football on the oval while we waited. Glad to get this multi done before the HFL series is phased out. We have thoroughly enjoyed the ones that we have completed thus far.

Cheers & TFTC!
