I needed to stretch my legs and this looked like a good place to do it. An interesting location and an interesting cache hide. TFTC
Away for some R&R out one of our fav campsites and out today doing some caches. An interesting spot and some great history! TFTC
As if getting to the GZ wasn’t hard enough, there was then the mystery of opening the container. Problem solved. TFTC.
Decided to do a day trip to Morgan, Mt Mary and Bower area for a day’s caching which included the Tour Down Under series. Manage to get 55 for the day which is a personal best. Had a fantastic day looking around. All caches were in good condition unless mentioned otherwise. TFTC
Spent a pleasant day's caching up around Morgan, enjoying driving the backtracks, visiting old cemeteries, local points of interest and some scenic locations. Interesting old cemetery that I spent a while to roam around. Thanks for the cache Bowz2!
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.
(HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do.

An early morning was planned with gridge98 and LíB heading north to grab caches along the way not knowing where we would end up. We had a fun day and found ourselves in Morgan for some lunch before heading back via some out of the way caches that we all hadn't been to. [^]
Made a little detour out to this one for a quick find. Everything is very dry even in the middle of winter.
Thanks for the cache Bowz2.

A rugged place to spend an eternity. Cache container brittle and cracked. I enclosed it in a plastic bag to keep it out of the weather. Not likely to get very wet!
Found on a great day out caching with CPwanderer and hevwalker. The weather was perfect and the company even better.
I really love visiting these out of the way places and learning about the history.
This is another location that I never would have found without geocaching.
Our early settlers suffered hardships we will never know as is evident by the young age of those buried in this little cemetery.

Found on a great day out in the mid north with Gizmos Gang and hevwalker!! We started in the Brookfield Conservation Park ..... worked our way up to Morgan and across to Burra via the backroads near Worlds End. We then ended up in Hallett as the sun was setting. Absolutely perfect weather and we did some outstanding caches, saw some great scenery and visited some historic spots.
Interesting spot!!!
Interesting spot!!!
A caching trip up North with CPwanderer & Gizmos Gang today...great weather for it...
First we grabbed the cache & signed the logbook...I had rested my phone while doing the honours...it fell down between the wire fence & the post...retrieving it was a scratchy affair...
Once the cache was back in position we took some time to look at the couple of graves in the cemetery...oh so young...as many were at that time...I can't imagine how hard life would have been...
Thanks Bowz2 for bringing us to this location to discover a hidden treasure...

So glad we made the effort to come out to this cemetery, the hardship and lack of water etc is so hard to imagine. Cache was found after the IPad decided to settle . Thanks .
Found as a part of TheKellyGang, writing this as a genaric log as I was a part of TheKellyGang and am now out on my own.
If you do not agree with this you are more than welcome to delete the log.

Miss GG and I wanted to make the most of this beautiful weather, so we put some caches on the GPS and set off for a day of caching, sight seeing and photography.
We clocked up some KM's and saw some great sights, took some nice photos and had a good laugh..
Sorry for the generic log, we tried to add little notes for them all, but some times you just forget.
We found the cache with no dramas after finding our self's surrounded but shrubs and no cache in sight..
As we got back to the car, Miss GG yelled something, somthing !@#$ SNAKE!!... as I saw a very black snake slither away from the car....
SO A WARNING TO ALL!! Snakes are in this area... be careful... make plenty of noise.. stomping you feet is always a good way .. They are just as scared of you as you are of them :D
Thanks for the cache Bowz2:D

Darknstormy and i wanted to head out for a big caching, photography and sight seeing day while staying in Morgan for the weekend and this one was found in our travels The finding of this cache was straight forward but walking back to the car minding my own business i walked and at the last minute saw a snake right in front of me :O so as you can imagine there were a lot of expletives that came from my mouth and made Darknstormy pick me up way down the road as there was no way i was hanging around this location Great cache and thanks Bowz2

A quick and easy find while on a drive out from our camping spot at Morgan Conservation Park. Thanks for the history lesson and for the cache.
These places always tug at the heartstrings, when you think of all the hardships that these pioneers suffered. Their reward was sometimes only a marble headstone.
Still! Where would Geocaching be without people who lived in such remote places like SCHOMBURGK and the unfortunate children that died so young.
Still! Where would Geocaching be without people who lived in such remote places like SCHOMBURGK and the unfortunate children that died so young.
Always fascinating to visit the sites of long gone little towns like this and wonder about the people who lived and died here and then faded away with virtually no evidence left that they were ever there. TFTC
Always look forward to being in Bowz2 cache territory, and this one did not disappoint, as per usual
After we found the cache and were considering our next move, a local pastoralist, John Lindner, stopped for a chat. Turns out his family had been in the area since the late 1800s and owned a large pastoral operation - Wonga Pastoral, with around 16,000 sheep and 1,000 ewes per year.
He pointed out the pile of rocks to the north of the cemetery was once the school and church building, with the local priest having to come from near Burra on horseback to conduct services. He said there used to be about 50 families in the area, which is hard to imagine these days, although there are plenty of ruins to support the fact.
After pointing out the differences between saltbush, bluebush and blackbush, he went on his way to check some bores.
A great cache with some local real history thrown in for good measure.
Thanks for the cache Bowz2!

Met a nice farmer Mr Lindner who told us some of the towns history. Very interesting. Tftc
Hard to believe there once was a settlement here. Thanks for the lure to this interesting site and good hint.
What a place of significance, Bowz2 this should be renamed to be part of your, The “ALONE OR LONELY” series of Bowz2 caches. very historical TFTHSL. Cheers diggers09
Got to love the abundance of historical cemeteries, Found no worries TFTC
Found neatly packed away . Jumped the fence cause missed the gate. Poor Sidney almost gone 100years next year.
On our way home from Burra. We love being detoured to soak up the atmosphere of such places. Obviously faming on this side of Goyders line was a hard ask. Fascinating country. Took the TB that has been here for some time. SL TFTC
A great reason for a cache, to bring us to this placid location.Cleaned out the cache of some unrequired sweets and LTB,tftc.
Interesting little cemetary down a short dirt track. We took a wander among the grave stones before "thinking outside the square" on this one and finding the cache neatly hidden under some rocks. We TNLN.
Found the cache today at 2.45pm with beanie

Found at 1225. I've been travelling around this area for many years but never new this tiny cemetery was here. Great Hide.
A detour off the highway well worth taking [^]
Nothing out here except a lonely cemetery with two marked and several unmarked graves.
The headstones that do exist are fascinating to see
Meanwhile somewhere down the back I found the cache
Interesting to note the olde sign on the olde west gate has the spelling "Schomburgh".

What a desperate place to try carve a living from the land - what were they thinking? Nice place to visit though. Almost gave up looking as nightfall descended and the sky began leaking but persistance paid off.
After checking out the area prior to another visit I noticed that I had missed logging this one Actually found on April 13 (last Easter on the way to visit some friends.

What a lonely place, and not even a find for 4 months and it isn't that far from the open road. No swaps today. Cache is still in good dry order. TFTC
A lonely cache in the middle of nowhere, and I can imagine it didn't feature heavily on teacher's location preferences. Took the Kettle TB. TFTC.

Didn’t manage this one yesterday, so had to backtrack. Ended up changing my whole plans for the day as I stayed on this road. Took screwdriver and left gift box earrings. Accidentally took logbook with me too. Only noticed it on the car as I was rearranging my backpack. Glad I noticed it then instead of 50 K’s away! Visited my Round Tuit Coin, which is helping me to keep track of my caches. Find # 79 and first today.
Just looking at the desolation of the area, we had to wonder that there were enough children to warrant a school. The pioneers of this land were a hardy folk that you cannot help but admire. Better them than me . Thanks for showing me this little out-of-the-way failed enterprise. Cheers
These people were crazy as well!! But I suppose it was better living here than where they came from back then!TFTC

Found by Roma and Max.
While Roma was browsing amongst the artifacts in this venue we still can’t believe we were muggled, out in the middle of nowhere, or so it seemed!
As it turned out the owner of the properties son was waiting for his dad to arrive droving a large mob of sheep and he literally frightened the wits out of Roma while Max was logging our find. He was an amiable chap and not at all interested in what we were doing here but much more interested in telling us some of the history of the area and how, back in the 1800s the government had allocated 400 acre lots to the original settlers and how this proved to be not enough to survive on and all but his ancestors had failed over the years and now they were the only ones left on all this land!
We left one of our signature Mondo Figurines for the cache and took an Octopus as a memento.
Thank you Bowz2, for what turned out to be a very interesting history lesson!

What a fascinating area. The only named graves in here were of Schrapels - the last mail contractor in Australia Plains operating out of our Post Office in Eudunda was a Schrapel - will be interesting to follow up on that historical link. Saw 2 lots of wild goats on the way out here. T spy glasses and screwdriver, L toothpicks and glow in the dark frog. Thanks Bowz2 for bringing us to this place.
A remote place with an odd name. These places could almost be a theme for this trip. Thanks.

Managed to get the soob sideways on one of the wet clay roads leading to the cache area. The heart got pumping right there and then. Now I know I am doing a Bows2 cache.
Drifting event happened twice. Second loose was even bigger. Reports are that the back wiped out a small tree. Read small bush.

We had fun driving to this one.
It was wet and slippery and we were almost overtaken by a caravan at one stage.
Some guys on motorbikes assured us the road ahead was OK I bet they had a good laugh after we on ahead.
I think we could provide a very interesting track log for our approach to this one.
Took a sword and left doggy figure.
