As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache [red]within the next couple of months[/red], just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Hi Great Pink Hunters,
Is it time to let this one go and archive it[?]
It will always be a memorable find though, taking three attempts and Bek being the one that located it as we were about to give up a fourth time.
Cheers

Checked and cache was still in place, but as the camo needed replacing we have picked it up - will return soon
Found a burnt stick in a tree but not the cache. Coordinates added to 30 and it seem to be the place for cache ...
Took my geodaughter and Muggle Dad looking all about. Numbers add to 30, but just couldn't see it. Started getting dark, will have to revisit
Had to double check the numbers as it was not adding up to 30 for us.

Out for the night with Everlasting and Trail06.
Having previously tried this one and not being able to find it I thought I should be right with 2 previous finders in the car.
We got to gz and I walked straight up to it. Cant believe I couldn't find it before.

Had a few hours spare while the wife and inlaws spent all my money at Harbour Town, so off I went to escape.
What looked like a nice simple multi made my head hurt with all the wordiness of the maths, so I moved on.

Great cache, much appreciated. The sums worked out, and the nice newly renovated cache was found without a hitch. Surprised to see that it hasn't been found for more than five months! Took TB to move it along. Thanks Great Pink Hunters.
Given the cache a fresh coat of cam and dropped off a travel bug that has been in my possession too long.
Riding around on the bike this morning I was happy to find my self in the thick of the battle to have another try at finding this cache
I redid all the calculations and ended up pretty much where I did last time I searched
But alas, even widening the search a bit I still came up empty handed
I am pretty sure I am in the right area despite the lack of elderly muggles again this morning

Well - we double checked the maths with the instructions and kept coming up with the same coordinates, which didn't quite conform to the hint. We didn't end up in a back yard - we were in an appropriate location - but no luck with the cache and a bit reluctant to spend too long looking, given it was unlikely we were in the right spot. Not sure how else to interpret the instructions.....
Being a bit of a history buff myself, I was interested to see the name. I could *nearly* get all the answers without seeing the plaque, but not quite. Decided to go search for 'Buzz' before finding the final location, which, funnily enough, was deserted. I thought that with it being New Year's Eve they would've had people preparing for the night, but it wasn't the case. TFTC. Took coin.
After some hints from C4 that we had the correct GZ on our last attempt we tried again but still no luck. Thanks for the hunt though.
I thought Maths was my strong point - it is but reading the cache details obviously not. After having a reread and some changes to my figures I found myself at the right GZ and not someones backyard.

Did a little research on the net and solved half the co-ordinates and estimated the other and arrived at WP1 with a Google Earth printout showing the likely “hideâ€. Checked the information on the memorial to confirm my calculations and then made a quick easy find.

I enjoyed completing this cache with its informative plaque before making our way to the appropriate GZ. I had to be careful with the maths as it is easy to make mistakes on this one.

It's easier when the cache is in it's proper place, near a reference point . Found it straight off this time. The camo is starting to look a bit tired now though.

Lost the battle, won the war, with many thanks to the Calumphing Four. It appears as both the Mrs and I both separately DNF'd our own cache following the works in the area , and a wider search by them found it just before I replaced it. The cache contents are intact and it has been repositioned to its rightful, original spot. Thanks again Calumphing Four. Game on and good hunting. TGPH
A sailor went to see, see, see
To see what he could see, see, see
But all that he could see, see, see
Was the bottom of the deep blue C!
Thought I'd give this a go after seeing Calumphing Four's note. Read the plaque carefully and gathered some numbers, then set out for GZ. No greyhaired muggles here today, but the neighbouring establishment was full of young whippersnapper muggles! I had a bit of a look around up high, then read the hint and looked down low, but didn't find anything resembling a camo'ed cache. Managed a reasonable hunt before the area became overrun by young muggles.

Today was a red-letter day, finally eliminating this "Closest to home unfound" cache.
Knew where GZ had to be from previous visits so didn't bother with the GPSr just had the mini's help in the search.
After a search we were starting to get that dreaded DNF feeling, but Bek had a look where I'd looked and suddenly said "I've got it Dad". High Fived her then retreated to the car to sign log and let the minis pick through the contents.

Not so hard this time around after a previous DNF. Fortunately the Grey-a-robics were facing the other way! TFTC

What size shoes do you wear? Checked the cache this evening at 19:45. Snug as a bug I'm afraid. No maintenance required.
About 2768 of conmbined muggle years of age prevented a thorough search, though I will be surprised if it is found without a replacement. Will I kick myself?
My first visit ages ago failed, and subsequent times I have been past the muggle factor has been too high. Revisited today and nobody was around, quickly found they I must admit to getting a hint from Freddo the other day. Another close to work cache knocked off at lunchtime

Great multi! Got the calculations correct after a few tries and we were on our way! The coordinates were almost exact and found the cache quickly. Fortunately, no wise old muggles around to keep us from collecting the cache!
Found at 21:35. Part 1 was easy, although I felt conspicuous taking notes from the plaque while two dog-walkers chatted a couple of metres away.
Part 2 took me too long. Initally my GPS had me in the wrong spot which was visible to the neighbours, and who all happened to be outside watering their gardens. Went and did a nearby cache. I lived near here on Hobart Rd when I was in years 1 and 2 almost 40 years ago, so drove past my old house, and some of my friend's houses (Michelle Nankervis, Michelle Ralph, Cathy Blight, Susan Vasilev - why is it I only remember the girls?). Enough reminiscing.
Went back to the cache, found it quickly this time. Great camo. No swap. Thanks for the memories.

Found the first waypoint no problems, did my maths to get the second point. Using the additional hints, plus some double checking, I'm pretty sure my coords are correct... but I couldn't find the cache. Is it still there?

After Molokov's DNF, rode around to check that it is still in place (there's been much muggle activity leading up to xmas). The cache is safe and sound at its gz. Good Hunting.
Found at 4:30 PM Sunday. Good time to get cache, very few muggles around. Week days could be a problem. Simple but informative hide. Excellent camo'd cache with relatively simple calculations to find.

Came back today to pick up the Key to the City TB which I forgot when I visited on Saturday.
Came back again, re-read the plaque, re-did the numbers and went to the new coords which lead us exactly back to where we looked before and we found it. Don't ask. TFTC
Don't worry about the last DNF I posted. I was standing right on the cache last time! Great camo job. Took Jeep TB. Forgot to grab Key to the City (d'oh! - that is the second time I've done that - Unlock the Mystery is going to be hard work if I keep that up!). TFTC.
Lost the coords from the first atempt so redid it all only to arrive at exactly the same place. This time it was a quick find. Having done the same camo on one of our caches it will be interesting to see how long it lasts in this location. Left Jeep TB
Returned to the sceen of the battle this evening and without the effects of kamikazi miner birds the cache was quickly located in exactly the same place I was looking last visit [^] Liked the camo job as well

Thought I'd check the cache this morning after another DNF. Still there. Dropped off the Key to the City TB after waiting for the wise old muggles' bus to leave.
Read the interesting plaque, calculated the numbers, wandered off to what I thought was GZ, but no go. Like those before, double-checked the numbers, but still led me to the same place. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, so I'm going to leave this one for another day.
After a number of possible solutions, one seemed to be correct. Boy there is a lot to read on this shiny sign, esp after 5:30pm when the sun seems to be at the exact angle to reflect just right into your eyes. Think I read it 4 times. Or was that 5?
Followed the arrow to what could have been the spot. No miner birds though, so I was a bit concerned. Do I need to re-read the Coral Sea lesson again? [B)]
After barking up the wrong tree for a bit, I eventually got it in the end. Luckily there were no muggles present, not even the L'presedente, as the star rating would make for 5 terrain if they started shooting. Though these blokes are used to that. So what does 5 stars on the shoulder mean?
Nice one GPH. Clear skies from TeamAstro.

well where to start with this one. was going to do it the other week, but it was MIA so didnt bother
Standing at the plaque, concentrating on reading i heard someone walking nearby, the footsteps were coming closer, i looked up to see who it was, looked back down again, took a double take and realised that it was parrothead. I thought something must have been up, as at that stage i was only reading the plaque, so its not like i was doing anything dodgy, thanfully it was parrothead.
We spent a few mins reading the plaque, doing the calculations, before retreating to our cars to shift them to what we thought was GZ, and grab our GPS's.
After 5 minutes of wondering around hopelessly, we returned to the plaque to re-check. still got the same answer.
another 5 minutes of wondering around, before we both reached for the numerous helplines. Posspet gave us a bum steer, hurtle didnt answer, skippy gave us some slightly cryptic clues, which helped, but still left things wide open
After a process of elimination the last one we tried was the right one. Cache was well hidden, and the camo added to our problems. After being about 100m out, we still never really figured out where we went wrong, but we got there eventually.
Was tempted to take the team hurtle mfs patch, but thought i might leave it for nibs, since they are no longer available. Passed the TBG's aussie geocoin onto andrew, after picking it up at 'its all there in the code'

Just thought we would check tonight(7.30pm)cache is still in place and the minors were not around at this time.
No problems with the first location or the math. Arrived at a deserted GZ to see the likely spots that were real and then proceeded to unsuccessfully search for about 20min while being continually swooped by miner birds. All in all a very unpleasant experience

Got the details from the first location I think. The daytime visit would be problematic until at least after the chanel 2 news at night when I think it would go quiet around here.

Cache found! Location had been moved, now back in original position. Tip - because of the high muggle visibility in close proximity M-F 8:30am-5:30pm and Tuesday evenings, attempts should be made outside of these times. 1st Saturday of the month may be problematic also. Good Hunting.
was going to stop and give this one a go, but then thought better of it, considering the previous couple of dnf's, and the hangover which wasnt allowing me to think straight/quickly

[xx(] Confirmed that the cache has gone. Will recreate and place at another position in the area shortly.
I found it odd that we were to do two caches today that were placed almost on top of two old “Enigma†ones. This one used one of the waypoints of the “Coral Enigmaâ€. The other one was “Percy Bewareâ€, using one of the same waypoints as “Enigma 2â€.
Anyway, we did the calcs, made a mistake and ended up searching for about 25 mins in the wrong spot. Eventually decided to check our maths, and discovered an error. With new coords we went to another GZ in the vicinity. Two items that conformed with the clue were located, and I felt sure we had located it. But they turned out to be genuine and once again we were left scratching our heads. Departed defeated

Having done the original Coral Sea one along here a couple of years ago thought a lunchtime visit would be in order. The plaque was easily found (though the playground is to the east), but the coordinates led me to a pubclicly accessible but perhaps slightly unlikely area. Checked the very few available hiding spots I could see within a bit of range without success. Will keep an eye on it, it's close enough to return to. Thanks for the excuse for a drive away from work!
I too had problems finding cache. the oldies were looking outside the window, I'll be back

Just like Richary the Stanleys were unable to find the cache. We also noted that the playground is to the East. Trying all of the possible south alternatives, we dismissed the 2 that led into the backs of private properties and concerntrated on the 2 across the road. We were still unable to find any sign of the cache so we will monitor the site and return another day.

Well, after returing from the Barossa,we logged on, only to find that the Pink Hunters had hidden their first cache, so we were off again. After returning to GZ1 for a re-read of the data, we finally got the correct GZ2. Looking Looking Looking and not prepared to give up, we finally made the big discovery! Very well hidden!
