Since the flood through the area, the bridge has been washed away. This is an area we frequent every year and plan to reinstate the cache. Since it will not be till October, we are archiving the cache.
The bridge was washed away with the heavy rainfall. Will attempt to place a hide nearby soon.
After a bit of searching around we realised after checking the associated photos that there was once a bridge here. Sadly it is no longer, we suspect with the large rains this area had in December that the bridge was washed away. The surrounding water level marks are well aboce where the bridge would have been. So we guess that this cache has made its way downstream somewhere and is unlikely to be seen again. Suggest archiving.
On a visit to SA with fitzy_1965 and Sol de Lune purely for caching (no relaxing allowed!!).
We left Adelaide at stupid o'clock to hopefully have a huge day
We finished the APM series and now we're onto a whole load of traditionals that lie before us.
Another nice quick find. TFTC!!

Quick find, log signed and we were off yet again.

Well, no water in the creek today, and the farmer was heading out, so we had this to ourselves. Geo-Mum was walking around looking for it but had no luck, so after tagging her back in the car to look after the sleeping kids, I walked right up to it, so to speak. - TNL badge, SL - TFTC.
We gave the bridge a good try out - especially with Mrs CF again (unsuccessfully) racing the littlest freak for the find. A great spot out in the countryside - would have been interesting after heavy rain. TFTC.
Found this cache at 3:45pm while driving around in our 1926 Dogde tourer while being on a Dodge Bros Vintage car rally for the week and also doing the "Bay to Birdwood"run on the Sunday.
It was lovely driving through the country side with everything so green and lush then to come across this delightful little swinging bridge, that had plenty of water flowing under it.
TN. Left: Blue cup cake.
Thanks Emeryco for the hide.

Lots of water passing under the bridge and over the road.dad pointed and the kids went and retreived the cache.tftc tnln sl.
We were staying at a B&B in Tanunda and as soon as we settled in, we went hunting. Geomum wasn't too keen on the bridge as it moved a fair bit as geodad crossed it gingerly. Very, very nice hide and good fun. TFTC.
Nice easy find, approriate name! [^] on the way down there were lots of young rabbits running along the side of the road.

Then used my head and looked the only possible place it could be.
Waited for local farmer before retrieving and placing back.

Fun hide, I didn't brave the creaking-sent little-Geo instead!!! Zeroed in on the cache quickly.
Monday was recovery day to get over the Scouts Rally SA and spend some time in the Barossa picking up some caches.
Quick find but wouldn't like to do it if there was water flowing. TFTC.

Just as I was going to start searching the property owner came home and gave me a puzzled look.
She was keeping an eye on me from the house so I left it for another day.

Semi-impomptu caching while in the area with a friend. A relatively easy find in a nice rustic setting. Don't think the cache would be findable in real wet weather. No pen, so couldn't sign the log.
No swaps.

Cute little bridge. Wonder what the locals think of people pulling up there to go walking over and under that bridge.

A nice day caching after dawn service, this was our 21st cache for the day.

Thanks for the cache.
Took photos and showed incredible interest in the bridge as a couple of cars passed. The bridge definitely creaked as I crossed, but still seems sturdy. Found cache without drama. TNLNSL. Thankyou for organising the cache. Cheers!
Enjoyed the name to this one. We looked a bit suss to the car passing by, three grown men furtively standing by the creaking thing. Grabbed and logged after they went away.
Thanks emeryco.
Maybe it was just me, but I am sure I saw a sign up the hill that referred to the name of a vineyard with the initial CKG. Anyway, a delightful little valley with an ancient couple of logs performing bridge services - and yes, creaky covers it! A quick find, sign and away. New log book required soon though, thanks emeryco.
2358. Now for the correct log. And we crossed the correct logs I guess. And yes, there is creaking. Under my weight probably a bit more than a little creaking. Luckily it did hold, although my compatriots wouldn't get on the bridge while I was.
I'll leave RexTrex to add his interpretation to the capitals.
The log is fairly full so may need to keep an eye on.

It had been raining hard and the creek was flooding the road creating deep fords throughout the Barossa.
However I could just drive through this one in the hire car after collecting this nice easy cache.

Love old bridge - mr snapper found the cache before us. SL. Thanks emeryco for organiaing the cache and hunt.
A surprisingly robust structure, I didn't hear any creaking (apart from my knees) while I was crossing over. Our ancestors built things properly in days gone by. Thanks for bringing me to this location emeryco, this beats the .... out of hunting for an eclipse tin under a bush in a small suburban park.
new log book needed
wet one to find on a wet day, fun though. our GPS was a little out and we relied on clue.

Our 5th cache for the day with daughter. (She found it before me this time) Nice location, nice hide. Swapped A pixie pic for a 50c piece TFTC [^]
This cache took the little ones awhile to find while I was hobbling around with a sore foot. One of the little ones had looked twice in the right spot, he must have been in too much of a rush to find it and over looked it. One of the other little ones went back over areas already searched and found it. We were sure glad that there was no water coming down the creek, great spot for a cache though.

Young Grom liked leaving his mark in the muddy bank here and bouncing on the bridge. We saw its twin as we were continued driving around the area! TNLN, TFTC Cache #384.
Rocky Glen Grommets and crane2 enjoyed the opportunity for a photo shoot - great location - we enjoyed it and so did Bob Grom (photos to follow) Took a duck to put in our Duck Crossing over on the Yorke Peninsula and left a funny man.
When GPS works you tend to find things quicker in this case we took a bit but found it in the end. TFTC
Since we were in the very close area for a wedding the day before, at Seppeltsfield, I thought that I should take the chance to grab this one.
With A still having the hair up (and done very nicely) from the day before, and full make up, I'm sure it would have been a shock for the guy that drove past us in a tin can sounding car!
We negotiated the pot holes on the road in, and left ourselves with only a short walk to GZ. A bounced around on the surprisingly solid bridge whilst I took care of the logging. A rather interesting spot for a bridge, that doesn't look like its see water underneath for many years

This one had us stumped for a bit as our old GPS needs retirement. and could only get a 20m fix on the location. Nice hide. Will see how the geocoin has travelled to this location TFTC TO SL TN Left a shoe lace

Alot of traffic for a dirt road every time we went to grab or write in the cache a car seems to pass but we got it done in the end. TFTC

The bridge does creak and it is wise to watch your footing but there is sometimes a slip on the way to success.

I wonder if the people up the hill have noticed the interest in the creak at the creek. It’s like a high pitched frog with a creak instead of a croak or is it maybe trying to warn people of the waterway... ‘Creek! Creeeek! CREEEEEK!!. Don’t worry though, it’s only ‘needeep’! Ha, ha, ha
