A nice winter day spent with [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) heading up into the hills and stopping at a few wineries during the Adelaide Hills Winter Reds event. There was a bit of geocaching in between our stops. We managed to visit Stirling, Lobethal, Balhannah, and finally around Uraidla.
Read the previous found logs, and used some old images to guide us, but still couldn't find. I suspect the old cache is still around the place here somewhere, but after prodding and digging around, we couldn't locate it. A CO visit may be warranted given the length of time and various DNFs before us (including us also!).

Aaahhh that'll be a nope from me after driving through area... Pulled over as far as I could but not happy with proximity to road... Maybe I got the area wrong? Checked a few things nearby but was it??? Anyway, still in uniform, does t bode well for climbing through bracken.. Back another day
had a bit of a hunt about here between the interested muggles in their swish cars but failed in our search . Will be back to try again another day...
Found out with GeoGrandma & Geocousin, two lovely friendly dogs & large kangaroo. TFTC TNLNSL Great Camo
Found out with Geo Grandma & Geo cousin a friendly dog came to play. Took a while to find Great CAMO . TFTC TNLNSL Saw a very large Kangaroo.
Had just had the most amazing lunch over the road at Mount Lofty Ranges winery (must do). Knew what we were looking for, but too much scrub and left disappointed. Thanx
Found on a warm day in the hills cleaning up the last drive-by traditionals in my 24K SE quadrant.
Reasonably quick find thanks to good co-ords AND the spoiler photo
Heavy duty plastic had holed and was damp inside. Dried with hanky, log not too bad. Rolled bag instead of folding, think/hope this will help keep the water out.
Thanks for the cache Geo_Stik

Thanks for the cache Geo_Stik
Took a while, but found it after meeting a friend at Crawford forest. Think some searchers might have thought the telecom pvc cover contains the cache as it was dislodged from its intended position. Please note the telecom cable access cover does not contain the cache. cover replaced as best I could get it.
Cache found TNLNSL and removed soggy old log book that had started going moldy. TFTC

After collecting the harvest cache at Lenswood & driving around the back blocks of Forest Range, this ended up to be quite a tale when I stopped here.
I parked right next the cellar door as it was safer and was greeted by the door dog, not sure if the dog was friendly I wound down the window and asked the dog if he would kindly let me out. He responded by waging his tail at me and then eyeing me for food. I had to be the bearer of bad news & explained that I had no food. No matter, the smell of my dogs on my clothes reassured him that my intentions were friendly. That was okay, but then he intended in giving me the once over, but I wasn't staying put for that long I was here to cache.
He then wanted to follow me across the road, firmly telling him to stay as I marched across the road. I guess his version of stay was one sheep, two sheep, three sheep. I turned around and there he was, he intended to tag along. He went off sniffing and I continued to search, the GPS was leading me around and around. The dog would come over to help, but he just got his head in the way.
Ten minutes of this interesting game of cat & mouse and we heard a male voice call for Lofty. I tried to explain that the dog followed me, but the owner was more interested in catching his dog, as 'Lofty' was back-peddling fast. So I helped him catch his dog and I could get back to my intentions. After getting a good reading from the GPS I found a likely object.
Thanks Geo_Stick & Lofty for unintentionally helping me locate the cache

Had a pretty good look for this one but it eluded us today; even the spoiler photo didn't help us
whilst the Rogue hit the bike trails at Fox Creek I did a few nearby caches. This was the first. The GPS under the trees was taking me everywhere. In the end it settled down and I looked down at my feet. Maybe it is under there? Maybe it IS there. Very good hide Geo Stik. Worth a fav point. The log has turned to pulp as plastic bag torn. Put a replacement log in some heavy duty plastic in there. Might want to come and collect the old one.
Walked around for about 10 mins on this one... GPS was playing games with us.. in the end we found it with the help of the logs... sadly the log is wet and will need some attention..

This was a good but painful cache to find . Our gps sent us everywhere and has to look at our phones to read some logs. Very wet logbook though TFTC
Found It!
Had a bit of a look around then peaked at the spoiler pic. I would never have found it if not! Very well hidden!

We found it, but we found it had no pencil and the log book was soaked. A very good place to hide a cache. Found after a fabulous Christmas dinner. TNLN TFTC. Cheers.
after being out and grabing a few caches with Mrs scoobster and her getting upset because Mr scoobster had found all the caches we went too we came across this one after a bit of looking Tardis turned up and saved the day pointing out the cache and even better no Signature by Mr Soobster at last we made Mrs Soobster happy what a task.
Well my GZ was showing me the way , I just didn't believe it
I should listen to my GPSr more
Thanks Geo Stik

I think we looked everywhere but where the cache was lifted every bit of bark looked in every tree unstill another Geocacher stopped and gave us a hint and there it was. TFTC Geo_Stik
A well cammoed cache had us searching for a while but with many eyes it was soon found TFTC
Found with a small group of adventurous geocachers the day after the 11/11/11 event at the Thomas Hill Study Centre.
Our final cache before returning for the Remember to being the pot for tea event. A quick find with many pairs of eyes.
Thank you for the cache Geo Stik!

Found with a fun group of cachers filling in an hour or so before dinner time back at Flippers Event nearby. Its so easy when there's a few of us. A great hide. TFTC
not so quick find out with a group of cachers.. not sure why we all struggled to see it.. ????.. but loved the hide.. dont normally see one 'that color'.
went to sign log.. and found mrs scoobster had beaten mr scoobster to it earlier in the day!

Dropped in today with Royds16 to give this one a go on our way to the 11/11/11 event nearby.
It was Royds16 who had the GPS and eventually made the find.
Another nice Adelaide wines cache.
Cheers and happy caching.

found with ACME_caching on our way to the come remember with me event, it took a few minute before we made the find as my GPS was a little off. tftc.
Enjoy.....

Found this one on our second attempt. Thanks for CPW for some hints of what to look for. A sneaky hide indeed. Found this on they way the the Come Remember With Me in Mt Crafword forest. SL. TFTC.
We had tried this one ages and ages ago with no luck so thought we would give it another go while we were in the area today. Once again, we started with no luck. The Geomutt was no help, there must have been possums up the trees as he just focused on the trees. In the end, Mrs TiedyeSmileys found it after finally dragging the geomutt out of the tree hollow and after Mr TiedyeSmileys walked right over it a few minutes earlier as he pushed through the bush. It was definitely more easier to spot from the direction of approach that Mrs TiedyeSmileys took.
Glad to finally tick it off.

This one had us poking and prodding around for a little while and also ducking for cover when a muggle stopped his car very close to where we were. Found it after he left. TFTC
In light rain I ventured in to get this one! Took far longer than expected but got it in the end. Log was dampish but still usable. Thanks Geo Stik for the hide!
This one took some hunting for but we eventually spotted it. Thanks geo stik
Just about to give up because of Winery muggles when we spotted it. TFTC . BTW poking a stick up the hollow tree only upsets the mosquitos.
After searching for this when it was a multi a couple years ago, thought we'd give it another try .
The weather was bad, but the rain held off long enough for our search today, which ended up being quite quick [^]. Another nemesis found!
Took pendant. Left marble. SL.
Replaced the bag, which was damp and drained the water from the neatly camo'd cache container .
Thanks Geo Stik.

Found with Cached and Gayle Flipper on the wet and wild Saturday of the Spring Break event, nothing was going to stop us girls from nabbing a few finds - nice hide, fitted in beautifully today - TFTC
Found this one in about 5 minutes which surprised me after reading some of the logs. Definately need to read the hint carefully as it's well hidden in the scrub. TFTC
Found by Mrs O and JadedOptimists. A clever hide that took a while to find, but it took a woman's look to located it in the end. Probably a hide better suited to the suburbs, with that camo TFTC.
Found with O'Cholio. Definately didn't expect to find that sort of camo in the bush. TFTC
Had a good search around the GZ that we had in the Oregon, but came up with nothing.
Now looking it would seem that we had the GZ from when this was a multi, and it's shifted slightly, so we were actually a little bit off.
Shall return.

Pulled over to have a look, when the owner of the house over the road arrived as well.... He asked if I was okay, and I said fine, but he had that "I wonder what's going on" look. He didn't ask any further, so I didn't enlighten him, and instead left it for now.
Out on the road again today and grabbing the caches I passed on the way.
Tried guessing where it was but had to get the GPSr and it was spot on. The log was saturated and needs replacing. TFTC.

Found the cache, and a very wet log book, after five minutes of searching. This chechy hide was located after the GPS'r as placed in my pockect and I let the eyes do the searching.
Have to say that you cannot get much more water into the cache which quite surprises me! Needs replacement log.
Cheers from the Posspet Boys

Finally I will log this cache as found although I couldn't write in the Log as it is more water than paper. I searched and searched and then relied on letting the GPS find it for me. What was that there? Got bitten by an ant in the process.

Due to WP1 continual problems with WP1 I have converted this to a traditional.

Checked today and WP1 is missing, in fact the entire structure is missing. As this is the second time this has happened I may have to rethink the hide.
Couldn't find WP1. I wonder if the coordinates are correct as there has been no roadworks near this location for years and GC says it was replaced 3505.8 feet from it's previous location. Seems like a long way to me.

Found at 18:15.
The bad news is the hide for WP1 has been replaced. The good news is it has been thrown into the bushes. I moved it up just off the road, only a metre or two from it's original spot. That was the easy part. I then spent well over 1/2 an hour looking fo the cache. I eventually gave up on the eTrex and used the Bluetooth GPS, which has considerable help, but I still called a friend for more help.

Went to WP1, looked high and low but no luck. Will return to check this one at a later date. Need to study the logs a bit closer I think
Spent a long time at WP1, but found it eventually (great camo). Must agree with Nibs regarding its location .
At GZ, was tempted by the obvious structure, but couldn't open it. Probably just as well, after reading Parrothead's log.
Sat. loc. was rubbish here, but after 1/2 hour of searching, gave in and went to find some other caches [B)].

Well the lads and I did not have too successful of a day today. We certainly could tell that lots of people had been in here looking for the cache but couldn't even use this to help backtrack the cache. This was our last cache of the day and WP1 was too clever for us and the boys lost interest after 10 minutes or so as it was much more fun to have a stick fight! We'll try again some other time.
Well another visit in daylight and a better result this time. Glad I didnt go with checking out the tempting item as the co-ords were spot on.
Well we found the first waypoint easily enough.
However we had no luck at the second point. I was a bit put off by all the logs of people being accosted and there were lights on and we were searching late at night.
Couldnt find anything at my indicated GZ.
Something about 17 metres away kept pulling me back but if it was there I am never going to find it as I dont want to be responsible for the outcome if I have made a mistake.

Found with a little help from my friends and then went across the road to celebrate with a wine or two! TFTC
Brilliant camo at both waypoints, especially WP1. None of the other three I was with had seen a hide like at WP2, so I had an advantage there. Little wet, but log ok. Went across road for a sample afterwards. TFTC
Just as well we had the brains on board to help today. Tricky one. The pinot is apparently very nice- but not to our taste. We'll stick with the cab sav and shiraz as often as possible.Left a blind mouse
Both points were clever hides, especially #1. I do question the need to put it there however, given that there are literally a million other places it could have been put that AREN’T on a narrow, winding road with very limited (and dangerous) parking opportunities.
Found the cache easily, as it looked slightly out of place. The winery owner didn’t bother us at all, but we got out of there as quick as we could anyway. Cheers.

Sinfully devious! I think I would have got there in the end, but must admit I had some divine assistance. Was your sibling forced to join the ministry to compensate for your misdeeds??? Thanks Geo_Stik!
Way back in April I found the first waypoint of this cache, but I was heading the other way and I was late for an appointment. The second waypoint has been burning a hole in my GPS.
The cache was soon ours after we got over the mud and the nearby trench. Nice views and a pretty drive. Thanks for the cache.

Cool wpt1. Clever.
GZ was more like a crime scene. (pic)
Clever again. [^]
Big disappointment though.
See pic – all that effort and not drink.
Cheers and clears – TeamAstro!!
Well, I still got tin, if you count the previous 2 finders as joint bronze!
3rd time here over a period of a few months... Thought we were pretty good to find wp1 so easily the 1st visit too!
I think we have something to do with 'in the bushes' and 'Telecom poles'! Whoops.
Just goes to show that muggles can be very sneaky, because we never saw him near, yet he saw us?
Anyways, found it eventually this time. Must admit I had got a tip at CCC Event.... Mustve stepped on it last time!
A lot of activity around here, yet co-ords were spot on, once you find the 1st waypoint that is!

On our way to Team Ermalesh's for T and thought we'd give this one a go, found WP1 no problems at all. GZ proved to be a little more difficult as a concerned muggle from across the road came to check on what we were doing as he had noticed a lot of activity in the area recently! Seen people messing with the posts. Fortunately geo-kids provided us the cover of needing a toilet stop. Sat lock in the area was a bit wonky so had to project the cache's position from the road. Claiming a joint Bronze on this one with Team Ermalesh. TNLN as nothing would fit, TFTC
Found 14:30ish. Met up with Chizbeki at WP1 to attempt this cache again. I did come here when it was first published but the GPSr had me all over the place, so had given up, I thought I had logged a DNF but obviously had not. Mr and Mrs C must have been waiting for a while before I arrived and had already found WP1 so sat back and smirked at me looking again, this time I had the micro in hand in minutes . On to GZ where 3 adults and 3 geokids searched for some time looking high and low for the cache, we must have looked rather suspicious as the owner of the winery came up the road to find out what was going on. Its funny how the truth just didn't come out, he somehow bought the story of the geokids neading to the visit the bush to relieve themselves (Yeah, it takes three adults 30 minutes to toilet three kids ). He mentioned that some sundays ago there were some people in the same area looking suspicious, and he had found them opening up near-by telstra posts which made him very worried, maybe he thought we were terrorists? . With sat-loc very flakey at GZ we were just about to give it away, when we utilised a bit of basic angulation to narrow our search. Noticed a funning looking .......... and had the cache in hand in moments. TNLNSL. TFTC and look forward to the next installment. Joint Bronze after all these months with Chizbeki.
Called past today to check on the status of the cache, As there have been no logs for a while.
Its obvious there have been many searchers, but no logs [?]. Please be careful at WP1 as there seems to have been some damage done while searching.

Aghhhh....
I must have been staring straight at the cache on my first visit to GZ and didn't even notice it!!!
Not only is this cache clever & cruel but also very devious all the way along - I thoroughly enjoyed it
Thanks Geo-stik, Left a little silver corkscrew.
Cheers

Geo_Stick may have placed this cache, but the mobile phone carriers will be the winners. It took me three phone calls to the stick line to realise that I was hopeless. I'll happily bequeath my FTF honours to anyone who can do this without a hint. It's both clever and cruel! When you get to the locations you will find a myriad of spots for a hide. It's in none of those.
Congratulations G_S on a devious hide. Remind me to smack you over the back of your head when I see you.

There I was just quietly inspecting the bush when who should pull up but JackHenry. We joined forces and eventually located the sneaky little hide at WP1. Unfortunately that was about as much as we achieved!
Despite spending about half an hour searching GZ we came up empty handed
Another sneaky hide?
Cheers
