Too off the beaten track due to previous multi cache taking up the whole domain so now is a good time enough to archive sorry to all of you who slid down the bank to find it!
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
Solved the puzzle whilst at the Domain a couple of weeks ago, went back on Sunday to locate the cache.
Cache had been muggled and was lying out in the open, we replaced the contents and rehid where we beieved it orginally came from.

Picked up the answers while walking back from the Heineken Open tennis to my office last week. Took me a week to find the time to get out of the office again - but a nice afternoon stroll was rewarded with a relatively easy find. TFTC
After seen the maori culture show and some exhibitions on the museum (impossible to see them all in a day), we did some geocaching in the Domain. This was not too difficult, the most difficult was to get to the cache. This will be our last cache for this year. Happy New (caching)Year!

An odd place for a memorial, but I rather liked it as it was rustic looking and unpretentious.
Bit of a scramble and bush bash at GZ, was pleased when StreetWalker called out that he had found that cache.

#2860. Needed a multi as part of our 7 cache types in a day. We were in the domain finding absent minded prof, so decided to do this one as our multi. Decided to drive to GZ. Finding a close park proved tricky. Once we got to GZ cache was soon found. TFTC.

Took the path from below to approach GZ but was foiled by 'closed for maintenance' signs. Decided to bush bash the remainder and ended up very close to the final. Lovely to see that the most recent finders are Wellington caching colleagues! TFTC.
Thi was my final find yesterday afternoon. It was a great memorial and I took the quick walk across to GZ. My GPS kept pointing me in the wrong direction, and after I cleared out the area it was pointing at I moved to where I thought it would be. A quick hunt and the cache was in hand though there were quite few possibilities to check before I found the cache. The ground was pretty dry so no problems there. Covered the cache up and I was on my way. TFTC!
Didn't find it but enjoyed the trip anyway. In Auckland from Sydney for a conference and took a nice walk over to the Domain. Great afternoon with cricket, soccer, runners, walkers, cyclists and all very green. Found WP1 and headed off past the very impressive War Memorial. Got near GZ and really had second thoughts about going in there. Did it anyway with the mental mantra - no snakes, no spiders. But just didn't have the nerve to look really thoroughly. Never mind - I enjoyed the walk. Cheers.... Gaztek
Yikes. Pretty muddy down there after a few days if rain. I wonder if many cachers are here for the rugby world cup. Pretty awesome way of seeing a place. TFTC. Tnlnsl.
A great little multi completed during a morning cache wander around the domain. Calculated the final with any problems and cache was a quick find - great to see an ammo can . TFTC!
Quick solve, off to the final. Jeez did it tough to find the cache. GPS misbehaving under the tree cover, so looked for the hint. Found it in the end. Took a bit of mud and tree home... TFTC.
The start of a wonderful day. We (together with dh1saj) want to go for the 7+ challenge cache today. So off we go.
This was our number three a multi. And what a cache. It did cost both of us a slip and dirty trousers hihi. Nice find. Specially in this wet weather. Took TB, left TB. Last TB not there.

#3 on our way to the 7+ a day challenge.
At least the final is recommended to be done at "no rain last night" conditions. It was quite slippery in there....
Have done it together with MarMis.

Early morning walk through the Domain. Amazing to see the variety of actvity at dawn in the location and the sunrise/lights in and around the Museum. Found cache and dropped off two geocoins, recorded coin was not there.
Great hide, good sized container!
Bag was ripped so replaced it and added more dessicant sachets.
Added some nice swag items for the next person to find the cache (Geocaching bracelet and Geocaching metal pin)

Great cache and great little walk. Turned it into a round trip with the lads to do some maintenance on one of my own caches. Took a flute and a dog. Left a maze and a parachute man. Also dropped a TB and a GC. TFTC!
Found on my free day before the Crowded House concert. Good times!
Was a bit difficult to find but got there in the end. TFTC

After getting the answers at the first waypoint I first did the Wherigo cache nearby before going to the final location. Found the cache quickly. Nice walk through the Domain.

Thought I would walk home through the Domain today and try for a couple of multis. Second up, this memorial hide. I had given this a go last week based on some internet research. However, one of the dates proved to be a little out and the other significantly out. Back today to get the information from the correct source. With a slightly twisted ankle I thought I would collect the information and come back another for the find. But, with hot new coords in the GPS off I went to make the easy find. Grabbed a couple of TBs. Cheers for the cache!
Rich and i looked for a good hour for this. The waypoint isnt where the geocache is but maybe near it. They were filiming the worlds biggest loser and that didnt help. Then I upset a whole lot of bees down the bank and now have a swollen ankle >< totally retarded
Completed this one after attending Tramper Ted's teddy bear flash mob event this morning. Loved the history behind this one and the way it was tied to the final hide. Left a signature eraser and 'Dodge M80' TB. TFTC.

At our visit of Auckland we found this cache. This cache brought us around a bit and showed us some beautiful buildings. Thanks for hiding. TFTC!
Really nice multi-cache, the required dates were hard to get as a large tent was over the site. Quick search and cache located. Good big size container. SL TFTC
Was watching some cricket nearby and realised that the plaque was the start of a multi and couldnt resist a chance to get four different icons today so did the maths (wrongly to start with) and walked back over ground I had already covered earlier.
Very nice to find an ammo can in the center of town. TFTC

Found before attending the 10-10-10 Event. Used the stay out of the way and let others leave method to locate the cache . TNLN SL TFTC
A nice walk in the domain and a great cache to introduce a friend to the art of geocaching. TFTC
Our first find for the day before the 10 10 10 event in the Domain. Found this with Hastingus in NZ, after a long search. TFTC
Found this one with Cabhassett before attending the 10 10 10 Event. The cache took a bit of searching for but found it in the end! TFTC
boo i didn't find it, all though I came close. I solved the clues did the maths and was only 30 feet away when my muggle friend arrived to meet me at the front of the museum i had to give it up and I came all the way from Scotland and sadly won't have another chance. I'm off the the South Island tomorrow and then home at the end of the that trip. Sadly i had Scottish TBs to drop of too. I will have a couple of hours in AuckLAND before i go home any ideas for an easy drop off?
Turned up in the domain for football practice - no one else did other than ic_q and angeshirl who had no choice as she was with me. As I was planning on doing this one anyway and had come prepared we instead went on a leisurely walk through the domain. Calculations were done without too much drama and the cache was found nice and quickly. Nice start to daylight savings TFTC
Lovely rainy day, not getting wet shoes and pants, gotta hold my bag on my front to keep it dry. Get to GZ and find easily, First actual ammo box cache I have found, Love it, Awesome spot. Pushed my way though the bush with my umbrella up, broke off one of the little white ends, the begining of the end. Caching spree #27
I had planned to do this the other day but got held up looking in a hut for far too long.
Found today in between showers of rain, which made the bank a bit on the slippery side.
Managed to get in and out without being muggled or falling over.
It is amazing how much rubbish there is in this bush.
A great spopt for a cache. Thanks. TB out.

My second attempt at this multi after a long time. Found myself back in a familiar spot that I am sure I searched well last time. This time I must have strayed a bit further in the right direction as I spotted the cache at last. Nice one. TFTC, Biggles.
Did the first half of this cache on ANZAC Day and finally found the final today. My first ammo box find! I got confused trying to close it TFTC!
Brought the bikes along to cover a few other caches in the area on such a gorgeous day! The final was easily found but we did watch a couple of 'odd' characters enter the same area after we vacated.... We don't think they were cachers.... Should have spotted the CITO advice in the previous logs before we got to GZ as the area could do with a couple of contentious cachers to help with the rubbish there. Thanks for the excuse to cycle around the domain.
Found under old log after quite some time searching in bush. Good site for CITO. [BYO Bags]
Thanks for cache and also for interesting coordinate arithmetic RH.

good hiding spot. looked at a couple of trees before finding it.

We were hoping for a track that led to the cache, but our hopes were obviously just fantasy. Bush bashing followed and an Australian explosive charge ammo box came out. We wondered where that came from, but more importantly, what happened to the explosives
Info quickly gathered at WP1 on a quite Monday afternoon. Input the finals co-ords and drove to a nearby parking. Headed into the bushes and found a lot of the "fallen". Got the right one in the end. TFTC
ound the info quickly enough. Bit of a hunt at GZ but stumbled on the right fallen eventually. TFTC.
We bit of problem getting to final as didn't have suitable shoes on, thankfully it wasn't a wet day. This was my 11th cache for the day and 300th overall. - smart badge, + large marble TFTC
Made our way to the plaque and noted down the necessary information so we could work out the location of the final. Quick find at GZ with the help of the clue T4TC.
Got half done when babysitter rang telling us she was over it, but we will return!
Nice straight forward multi, must admit I sent the kid to find the final as the terrain was a bit steep for the older one. TFTC
Lovely day for caching, lots of mid winter sun.

loved the ammo case container & it was exciting to see the NY geo swag coin & dog tags. We didn't have anything to trade so just SL. TFTC
Nice cache (good to see a real sized cache in the city!) although pretty slippery - suggest not taking the most direct route... In 9/11 geocoin (seemed kind of appropriate) Out Violins for Dummies (there is a need...). Left the puppies due to carrying constraints. Thanks for a fun and informative multistage.
Found along with Kiwicouple.
Spotted the waypoint across the way and headed over to gather the necessary data. The final threw us for a bit, but in the end came up with the goods.
Thanks.

An interesting waypoint - did not know it was here. Gathered the information, did the computations, and headed across the park to GZ. A nice hide in a less used part of the domain. Thanks.

My first multi cache - nice and easy which is what I wanted. Found with Roobi, nothing in, nothing out. TFTC.
Found with Boy4Life. A nice walk in the park on a nice autumn afternoon. Great to see a nice big cache in such a busy part of the big city. TFTC.
#555. Fun cache. Nice multi and hide. The sound of bag-pipe filled the air tonight.

We were sure about the coordinates for the final but couldn't find the cache. Due to the local insect population that tried to eat KrazyKat alive our patience didn't last long enough.
An easy multi to finish a day of successful caching in Auckland. We enjoyed the evening stroll through the park, watching the people doing all sorts of sports. TFTC.

A lot of people around on this sunny day, but to get the cache was no problem

Nice walk in the domain to find this cache. Mozzies had a field day at GZ, which wasn't too easy to search because the GPS just didn't want to play ball under the trees and there were quite a few fallen ones. But we spotted it, signed the log and traded TB's. This one, Merv, just arrived back in NZ and wants to head to the Waikato. TFTC!
The first part of the cache required cooperation with the 'xmas in the park' workers as the plaque was secured inside their compound. No trouble after this. TFTC
Despite there being several 'fallen one's around' we managed to locate the cache.

I was on Auckland Explorer bus and search for this one on museum stopover. Cache was in perfect condition & easily found.
After a nice day in the domain and a visit to the museum, we had to do this one - must admit we did not walk all the way!!
Did not think there would be such a secluded spot with all the people about today!

Good Fun. I wonder what people thought when we they saw us struggle up the bank on to the road!!! Took TB
This is what caching so much fun. Great little spots you get taken to and the things you see.
Found WP1 easy, made all the calc's and then headed off the shortist distance to GZ. That is a great building you go past to find the cache. (Photo's to be added later)
At GZ, managed to get down the slope and cache was found within a few minutes. Great spot away from any muggles.
Left 2 x TB's, Took 1 x TB and thanks for the walk & cache.
Cheers
