Description
A Trig Point is a virtual cache which requires a cacher to locate the Trigonometric Station at GZ.
A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of four metal legs or concrete pillar, resembling a navigation beacon. It is also accompanied by a metal disc, which is located directly below the center point of the tripod or on top of the pillar itself.
To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself. Long distance / telephoto type pictures are against the spirit of this cache. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.
This is the oldest trig station in NT according to some of the signage here.

Great Trig Point.
Flew into Alice Springs and met up with my fellow intrepid team members Sol de Lune, Albida33 and LuckyL10n for the start of an amazing trip throughout the Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales and eventually back to Canberra. The Red Centre Experience is the main attraction of course, but also on our agenda are a lot of GC Caches, lots of trigs, as well as plenty of GCA Trads, History and Virtual Caches (and maybe the odd beer or two ??!! . Go Clan Cerberus !
Another trig for the trip. Enjoyed walking arounf the Telegraph area. Really nice views from up here. Also a bonus with the trad up here as well. Photo taken. Then it was back in the car and off to the next one !
Another trig added to the dragonZone list. I really enjoy finding trigs and also the new CORS that are popping up everywhere !
TFTC !!
Made the climb to see the view.
