Description
A Trig Point is a virtual cache which requires a cacher to locate the Trigonometric Station at GZ.
A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of four metal legs or concrete pillar, resembling a navigation beacon. It is also accompanied by a metal disc, which is located directly below the center point of the tripod or on top of the pillar itself.
Trig points are generally located at the top of hills or points of prominence in the landscape. Many provide unique views and challenges, with some being difficult to get to.
These points were regarded as valuable to surveyors, providing reference points for measuring distance and direction, and assisting in the creation of maps.
To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself. Long distance / telephoto type pictures are against the spirit of this cache. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.
The original collection of trig points has been sourced from Geoscience Australia and may contain inaccuracies.
Please respect local laws and regulations when searching for trig points. If you believe that a trig point is located on private property or in a dangerous location, you may archive the cache, by clicking on Log this Cache and place an "Archived" log on the Geocaching Australia website.
If you feel that you can add to the description of this trig point or adjust the difficulty / terrain ratings, please feel free to edit this cache and amend the information suitably. Vandalism of the cache description or other information will result in your account being terminated.

Saw this one standing tall next to the road and quickly whipped out the phone to get a quick snap.

Quick stop and snap for me here today.
Alas it is looking a bit worse for wear.
First time I've been along here - and a bonus trig along the way - nice !
TFTC !!
Conscious of the truck I’d finally managed to get past just a few kilometres earlier, I jumped out & took some photos quickly, then got back on the road as fast as I could.

Pity GCA does not have a caches along the route feature like GC does (or does it?)
Anyway, a welcome reason to stop and pick grass seeds out of the socks/shoes - as well as a chance to be bugged by dozens of grasshoppers/locusts in the process - I was still finding them in the car 2 days later.
and it is a long way back.
It is a good place for a breather. When I saw the black disk rising like a moon over the horizon I knew I was going to pull over for a minute.
I thought I had seen a trig out in a paddock earlier but it could have been my eyes playing tricks. Later I saw a few trigs that materialised into cabbage tree palms.
Waymarking refers to this as Ti Tree Lake.
This bump in the Sturt Highway has always signalled the end or the beginning of the crossing of the Hay Plain.
Todays crossing was wet !!
Yes it was raining cats and dogs and damn cold too.
I just bet it was a bit warmer on the other side of Hells Gate just to the east
With a trig point to log today I risked getting the geomobile bogged (again) and stepped out onto jelly-firma.
I took the photo as quick as possible and retreated back to the warmth of the car
Pics to follow.
Thanks

I got a real surprise while on my way to the Mega Event in Wagga - the Hay Plain is as flat as a billiard table, but I gues there must be a slight bump now and then and they decided to stick a trig marker on this one. It's only about 1m inside the fence, so I decided to grab a picture and log it.
Very flat around here, so surprised to see a trig, and of course had to stop for a quick photo op.
Thanks.
Gotta be one of the easiest trigs to climb up to.
TFTC and the elevation.
