nICE LAKE. vERY PEACEFUL SPOT. nO LUCK WITH THE NEABY CACHE, BUT i'm not here for the cache.
We were in the area doing the GeoTour, and made a point to look for this trig whilst here. Reminds me of the ones we've found around the Walgett area....
Staying in Creswick for a few days. Out and about caching for the day. Lovin' life, coffees and caches, waymarks and photos, taking the roads less travelled.
Does it get any better than travelling this great land of ours?
Stopped by to take the obligatory photo after the prerequisite coffee.
Thanks Geocaching Australia for a chance to stop and stretch the ol' legs, enjoy the views and take a photo or two.

First GCA, knew where it was as soon as l seen some previous finders pictures as l had been here earlier this year doing some geocaching and had stumbled across this same spot. Sorry for the bad picture in the dark but its my phone resting on the mark with the torch on kind of lighting it up as l took a photo with my friends phone

We were staying at the caravan park nearby so this was a nice easy walk by. It also gives a couple of options for the Scavenger Hunt as well.
#GA1954 - 08:05; Day four of a caching mission to Victoria with Sol de lune. After a big day on the road yesterday going from Creswick to Mount Gambier and back, the plan for today is a more leisurely drive to Learmonth, St Arnaud, Wycheproof then through Beulah to Brim for some silo art and on to Warracknabeal and home again via Ararat. This was our first stop for the day and once we found the right track in, the trig was spotted on the approach. TFTC Geocaching Australia

Headed off on a run through a few areas I've been before, but stopped off for this one as we started. No problems and the photo's were soon snapped.
Thanks for the trig...

A quick find on the edge of what used to be a lake, but no water anywhere to be seen!
Today we came to Learmonth to look for a cache and noticed this Trig Point. Two photos have been added to the Gallery: Mrs y'stassie standing next to the trig point; our GPS next to the survey marker.
And I was worried the map was indicating the TP was in the water...

Long time since this one has had a find. In a top spot and loved the colourful town sign as you enter. Thanks.
It was a wet and miserable day, why not find a trig point on the way home from Avoca
Not much to see with this one.

Grabbed this TP today while I was on my may home from Ballarat. well to be honest I was looking for one of the "TP" stands with the black discs on top. and thought I had the wrong Co-ords some how but when I had a closer look on the ground I could not believe it. This is my First Trig Point find WITHOUT one of those big frames over it. (will upload photos later)
Found this one at 11:30, along with its GC partner, while on the way up to tomorrow's bushwalk in Wyperfeld NP. A very nice place to stop by .
Thanks tigersden.
Thanks tigersden.

Roaring Ford's first GCA cache, we knew it was there but were looking for a GC.com cache, which we didn't find so we're claiming the consolation find.
Friends have bought a house that backed onto a deep dry grass filled depression, that deppression is now lake Learmonth (Again). Up side is they now have lake frontage, downside is the rising water caught out a lot of the nesting swans and flooded/covered the nests
