Description
Boundary TS1100
Official name of this Trig Station as per NSW Department of Lands is: Boundary.
Serial number is: TS1100.
Last Inspected on: January 6, 1983.
Elevation is: 189 metres.
This trig involves parking on the verge of Mona Vale Road but be careful as it's a busy road. You can then follow the power line service trails right to the trig. Once you get close and at the pylon, look carefully for the track continuation. No need to bush bash if you're clever
To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself.

If there's an easy way to this trig, I didn't use it; me in shorts and plenty of scratchy stuff and invisible, very sticky webs. I came across a circle of stones about 10m NW of the trig, which I thought could have been the old cairn, but there were many more, of a more typical size, right next to the pedestal so I'd probably just found an old campfire circle.
Other than faded black paint on the vanes, the trig is in good condition, erect and with nameplate intact. Not bad after 38 years.

Fun little bush bash through wet scrub. Nice to find and open clearing and a trig in good condition.
Another trig originally found in the 80's but being re-found to get some current photos. It was after sunset - 1805, but not too hard to bash on in to the bush. All good with the concrete pedestal trig.

Having been near here previously I knew the easy way in via the bush track and electricity pylon. Found at 12:21 pm.
Parked a bit further west where there was more room to pull over, and walked back to the service trail. But really the service trail doesn't get you much closer before you need to bush bash than where I parked, so I made the direct return to the car that wasn't that overgrown anyway. Another one that still has vanes on it.
Did this cache the hard way... starting from a parking spot 1,500m away to be precise! Today I was polishing off my GeoSportz requirements and needed a 4 pointer for the 1,500m so purposefully set out a longer walk than needed. This trig is a little hidden coming from the road but there is an easier way from the back... that requires walking further
Still in good nick with a nice shiney name plate. Also GCA Cache #499!

We were clever enough to follow the power line service trails most of the way and then didn't notice the track continue at the pylon so had a bit of a tangle in the scrub before getting back on track!
Further up from Mole Trig was this one. I drove up to the complex and then came back around and parked as much off the road as I could with about 70m to go. I did the bush bash to get to GZ and a bush bash it was. No tracks and thick trees and bushes. Once I found the Trig though, all was ok. Took the photos and found a better path back to the road. Cool hidden Trig.

I almost missed the trail and had to reverse up to park at it, then the trail itself was easy to follow but partially underwater today.
However the trig was easy to find and I was able to get the required photo and return to the car before more rain set in.

This was the first of several trig finds for me this morning on the bike. A quick scramble up through the bush from the break in the traffic island handed me this fine trig. Its in good shape, including the plaque.
Found this with pjmpjm the first of our Trig hunt for the day. This is still in very good condition, after a short stroll on the electricity service track to the trig. Permanent Marker 39745 is right at the foot of the trig.

Found this together with rogerw3 at the beginning of a major trig-hunting expedition in the area.
We walked in from Mona Vale Road on a service track under the power lines and located the concrete pedestal immediately. It's only about a 120 metres stroll to GZ.
Photographs will show the present condition.
Right next to the trig is a NSW Survey Permanent Marker, No. 39745.

I'd seen this trig on old parish maps and had a vague look for it some time ago without having decent coordinates. Having purchased some topo maps recently I got a better idea of its position relative to the power lines and spotted the trig from Nearmap and Google Earth.
Today we parked as far off Mona Vale Road as possible (still a scary road) and bashed our way under the power lines to find a service track. Made our way to the trig and found it in excellent condition with vanes and plaque intact and a survey mark hatch at the base.
A very pleasing find. Looks like the remains of the original cairn nearby.
The next finder might like to bring a large screwdriver or lever to inspect the hatch as we didn't get a look.
