Found whilst in Penrith for the long weekend.

08-Sep-20
Out trigging with Sophoutloud today on a mission to take over Penrith. It was a beautiful warm day and we were surprised how many of these trigs had survived the urban expansion of Penrith. They were all found in varying conditions from as perfect as the day they were built to pretty broken and covered in graffiti. Such a nice old church that has protected this trig perfectly good to see Clan Minotaur

#GA2966 - 11:55; Day 2 of a big bonus caching adventure in the Blue Mountains with Sol de lune. After a quiet night in Katoomba, we are heading back down the mountain for home. After a stops in Springwood, Glenbrook and Lapstone, where we did some serious bush bashing, we we back on the flat when we stopped off to grab this trig. Parked out front of the old church and despite the sign on the gate which wanted it to be closed, it was open when we arrived, so we left things as we found them. Grabbed a snap or two and headed off again. TFTT Geocaching Australia Very HappyClan Cerberus

Out caching with.... GeoDirk! After waking up too early today he was doomed to go caching with me today. After 14 puzzles, 4 trigpoints, 4 traditionals and one multi, we had a slushee. It was a win!

Last one for today. Trigpoint that is. After taking the snap I had some small talk with the person inhabiting the house.

Geocaching Australia (GCA) Cache Find Number 1340. Found during a work trip up to the Penrith region.

Another work trip up to the Penrith Region, and this time I decided to mainly concentrate on GCA Caches - and again mainly trigs. Early starts means early finishes which gives me some time to drive around collecting the trigs and trads on my target list. Today unfortunately it was quite wet - lots of rain about. However that didn't stop me and once I hit the road it didn't take to long to get to the next stop. Once near the trig of course it was a quick stop for the required photos, then it was off to the next one. Photo of the trig and church attached. I really enjoyed exploring the old church here !!

Another nice trig to add to the collection. Really enjoy finding these in all sorts of odd places, including the new CORS type which seem to be popping up in every country town plus the big cities.

TFTC !!

Great spot to visit with the old buildings. An easy trig to walk to.

12-Mar-16
Not hard to find and the trig can be seen from the road.

16-Jan-16
It was not too much further along the road to this trig point after finding '1000 hides'. I am affiliated with the Uniting church and knew of the existence of the site but not the trig. Stopped and took my happy snap.

30-May-15
found while doing some of the Heart series near the Regatta Centre. Towards the end of the day we came to this trig to find a group doing bell-ringing in the bell tower in the church. What an interesting time for it.

I love these things when they are up close. The gate wasn't locked, but I didn't feel comfortable going in.

7 trig day for the Heptathlon and this one made number 7. We didn't really have to find this 7th trig but I was very glad we stopped here. Very interesting location and well maintained

On a trig run for the geosportz Heptathlon event today with strike-a-light. This was our last trig on the list and what a great spot! The church is so well maintained and it's very picturesque here with the water behind.

12-Feb-12
Doing a nearby Traditional on the way home from a weekend in the blue mountains doing the Bmpt. I spotted this trig. So had to grab it. Nice and easy noone around at the church. Well worth it!

13-Aug-11
At last I made it to this Trig it has been on my to do list for a long time.
A pleasant walk from Penrith Station to the lovely Church, and as I got there i thought that it was all in vain. There was a Church function on the grounds with dozens of children. Well let's face it, Old Man, Camera. Young Children, not a good thing!
Well I figured I might as well ask, found an Lady with an official looking name tag and before she could say no, I politely said "Thank you, I will only be a minute" and went for it, no child was harmed during this exercise!
A nice Trig complete with vanes and name plaque.

Quick find before we went to the Regatta centre for a bike ride & picnic today. Wonder what the old tower is, a bell tower maybe?

08-May-11
We were locked out from this one, but we could still take the photo from the road.

04-May-11
I've came out here for hiding a gnome, came out for a new cache, now and newly posted trig. Another nice trig and all intact. A bit of a view to the lakes.

03-May-11
Yes, this trig is still in place and, in fact, in very good shape.

It wasn't ideal that I reached GZ only after midnight, on my way from the Blue Mountains back to work in Dural. The trig and its support post and vanes are located on an interesting historic site, just behind a lovely square stone tower.

No vandalism was evident. The side name plaque was intact.

My photos are poor, but I was lucky to get any images at all -- using only my iPhone camera and a little torch.

But a great trig to find.

Thanks to rogerw3 for re-discovering it.

'Three Thumbs Up' for the historical setting.
