Description
Conder TS?
Official name of this Trig Station as per NSW Department of Lands is: Conder Old.
Serial number is: TS not allocated.
Last Inspected on: January 23, 1975.
Elevation is: 629 metres.
Another interesting trig, the original Trig Plug is still there to be found in the center of the remains of the original Cairn Type Trig. The new Steel pillar type trig was put in place on January 23, 1975 when the original cairn type trig was unpiled uncovering the original Trig Mark.
Logs
Camped up here with some work buddies, pretty cool spot. Its not to bad getting up here

I didn't realise there were 2 trigs marked while I was up here but luckily I took some photos of the old platform so I am able to log it.

Picked up the rock in the centre of the depiled cairn and grabbed a stick to do a little digging. It wasn’t long before I found the copper marker.

As rogerw3 has written in his log, finding this 'old' trig next to the 'new' one was a fitting end to an afternoon of long walks and tough climbs to various trigs.
Conder Trig was the third 'double' of the day and the most difficult to reach. (See our logs for Conder New to learn more!)
I put a rock over the location pin of this one, which is in the centre of the remnants of a stone circle. Trig experts will recognise this site as the remains of the old 'de-piled' trig that pre-dated the present one, and which has its own separate TS number issued by the NSW Department of Lands.
Thanks to rogerw3 for re-discovering the correct coordinates!
We were ready for a roadside cappuccino at Bilpin after our exertions to reach the two Condors.
Another 'Four Thumbs Up' for adventure, surprise of discovery, and total exertion . . .

Ninth and final trig for the day's trigging with pjmpjm. An unexpected find but a rewarding one, I spotted the center of the old Cairn remains and started digging but stopped to take my photos of the current Trig Station next to it, pjmpjm made use of a local digging tool (stick) and uncovered the original Plug in all it's glory.
A fitting end to an amazing day.
