stopped by this trig having taken a hike out on the near by trail for a traditional cache. On the way back took a short bush bash to reach the trig. The pedestal is okay but the poles and vane lie in the bush beside.

The map suggests that there is a track just a short walk up the main trail that will take you to the trig, but I couldn't spot it. I gave up on this one last year because the bush was so thick, but today I persisted...and it was well worth the effort. The old trig would have looked magnificent in its day.

On a 'gong escarpment trig road trip with rogerw3.
A brief stop for the GA cache and on to the well cared fire trail to Southend ... there is the brief, hard and no doubt scratchy way off to this trig, but rogerw3 had some cunning nous and quickly sussed a better way.
The trig's tripod mast with vanes has toppled with rust and age but the cairn and nameplate remain. Well worth the walk, for although the tripod has fallen they are not all that common (or at least not for the 'mushroom)

Out and about on a Trig hunt with Whitemushroom.
An easy find with minimal bush bash if you find the right access. The tripod with mast and vanes has rusted up and fallen over but the pedestal is in good condition.

A nice easy walk from the road and then a short section through the scrub to find the Trig. The base is in good condition however the mast and vane section are on the ground nearby.

No MTB today, so I made the nice and easy walk from the gate and the bushbash on the last 60 meters!

Found by Pi and a couple of mates.
We stopped to log this TP on the return leg of our mtb ride around Dharawal today. An old trail leads away from the 10B trail right up to the TP so there is no need to bush bash to this one.
TP has seen better days. The concrete base is fine but the large structure that sat over it has fallen down.
Cheers,
Michael.
