Logs
Found with rogerw3 today, after a 5km round-trip walk. The GeoBuru2 just couldn't manage the 'fire trail' at one point and so we had to leave it behind.
Much of the trail is very nice, however, and we had a pleasant walk with many views.
Trig is in pretty good condition, with its plaque intact, apart from the vanes.
Joint 2TF . . .
5 Thumbs Up for the adventure . . .

Out and about on a Trig day with pjmpjm. We parked at the start of the track and walked to the trig. Great area well worth a visit. The mast has gone but the vanes are hanging in a nearby tree!

Well, what an adventure!
Set out with All Strung Out and after a short track drive off the Wolgan Valley Road the GeoReindeer was baulked at a set of boggy waterlogged crossings. Abandoning the Reindeer, ASO and and the 'fungus set off, with a gingery stepped crossing over the ruts to a short distance further a decidedly unfriendly awd track that rose up, and up up with knee deep ruts. A stagger up, with the realisation there was 3 km to do ... but the track, after its initial 'reach for the sky' settled and it was a clock race with a fast setting sun to reach the GZ coords.
Along the track, off on a side track, over some scrabbly stone ... and then, wonders of wonders, a pristine, white trig (sans vanes alongside) all aglow in the last day's golden sunshine rays.
Wow, well worth the effort for a old cacher ... the youngster did ok, but I look forward to his son dragging him out this way 25 years hence.
A BONUS too ... a FTF (well, seriously first to log I guess) but a gem to have in the count.
