Last of the trigs in Duffys Forest. Easy to find a metal plate when it is conveniently framed but a ring of rocks from the old pile. I wonder why this one was dismantled?

Cool old trig, updated the DT as it's not wheelchair friendly and takes a quick poke around to find. Grabbed as a 2012 cache for the summer scavenger series!

After a DNF on this trig on Sunday, 23 October, I was keen to come back and get a Find, and some photos.
BTW FYI, First found @ 1244, Monday, 17 October, 1983 - from my Trig Stations log book of the 1980s. I didn't mention a PM cover, so probably just photographed the rock cairn, which was in better condition. This was one of x 17 found that day! (ALL on the Hornsby 1:25,000 map)
I agree with GeoOz944 that the coordinates are out a bit, as I was looking on Sunday 23/10/16, intensively at the original coords of S33 41.112 E151 11.038. But being 1900, and the sun about to set, and I was still wanting to get some Survey Markers for Waymarking, I thought it best to head off.
This Sunday I had the advantage of being aware that the coordinates could be out, and sure enough, I found the cairn about 16 m away from where I had been tapping around in the bush. The metal lid opened easily with a tool. Found @ 0934. With EVA T.S stamped on the bronze rectangular plate screwed onto the square lid of the cast iron PM box. Found the location pin - a little loose.
Hopefully a Waymark soon - along with some others in the vicinity.

For some reason I hadn't yet found and logged this one and nearby Sandy despite living in Terrey Hills. So with an hour or so to spare I set out. By my reckoning the coords are about 8 metres out. I found it by spotting the rocks from the depiled trig. a virulent nest of ants was in residence but the pin was found under the biting hordes,

After a morning exploring around Terrey Hills, I decided to nab a few trigs before I headed home. First off was Sandy, then I set my sights on Eva. Poor old Eva is not looking her best, but it is good that there are at least a few remnants left. I found the box protecting the pin wide open.

Election Day today so I needed to escape the hooplah. Not much left of poor Eva with the cairn mostly dismantled. At least someone has had the decency to cover her locating pin with a box - the surveyor's equivalent of a chastity belt that I was unable to open.

This one had been on my radar for quite some time, it took a while to figure out how to get there, train from Lithgow, train again to Town Hall and then bus to Terrey Hills near Mona Vale Road, then walk 6.5km to the Trig.
All good, kept waiting for it to rain but it held off till the end. The remains of the cairn are easy to find, the PM Cover Box was only partly covered since Yurt cleaned it a few days ago. I came prepared so had no trouble opening the hatch, the old brass locating pin is right there as is the name plaque. Trig co-ords were spot on.
Great day out.

I hadn't realised this trig was still there unfound until today so when I had some time up this way this afternoon I headed into deepest darkest Duffys Forest. Parking at the end of Anembo Road I discovered it was a horsey place but open to the public. There was a horse trail to the left of the gate and it was a quagmire. I kept out the mud and followed the track some 150 metres to GZ. Didn't see anything promising but then headed off the track and found a circle of stones in the classic cairn formation albeit with the centre removed.
I thought there might be a replacement pedestal but it was only when I lifted a rock in the middle to find the locating pin, if it were there, that I found a PM hatch! It wasn't sprayed yellow so may have been 'lost'. I didn't have a tool to open it so I can't give the PM number but subsequent finders can do that.
This was a nice little find. Glad to discover an old style trig which doesn't involved a 2km bushbash. They are getting harder to find in Sydney!
