Gallery of log for Museums

18-Dec-14
The Ulverstone Local History Museum had its origins early in the 1980s when a group of interested volunteers came together to preserve local history. As well as many exhibits collected from the area, buildings from the wider community were identified and moved to a site in Main Street where been the site for a garage and workshops. The relocated buildings included a school, gaol, navigation beacon and part of a railway station. The museum is a very worthwhile place to visit as it does give a good insight into the history of the area. The photo added to the Gallery shows Mrs y’stassie outside the museum.
