Gallery of log for The Rogues Gallery
Walked past today. Never seen it here before.
GC478YP NAVIGATING CNS - Cairns, Queensland
We were on one of our caching/camping trip collecting D/T combos not available at home. Our log for this cache reads..
"# 957 C+2M Annual Camp/Cache trip north.
Last year we did this trip before christmas and spentt a couple of days working our way up the coast. We made it to Cairns but only overnight and had to head home. Unfortunatly, this time we only have two days so intend to go straight to Cairns with limited diversions. We are hunting quality instead of quantity. He identified 10 caches in Cairns and surrounding areas with D/T combinations that we are yet to find.
I remember when this cache was published, and I remember emailing Walter to let him know that I had solved it the day after it was published. I don't know if we got First to Solve but it doesn't really matter. The co-ords have been saved on our notes for over 9 months. Time to go claim it.
This was to be our last for the night, but ended in disaster. Firstly, no torch meant search by phone light, making following the needle all but impossible, but it wanted me to go into the mud. Then a bird above displayed it's displeasure of me being there. Must have been a bird the size of a dump truck by the mess it left on my neck and shoulder. Need a shower.
This morning, Monkeys wanted to focus on Munzee and the swimming hole so this was our first stop before we prepare to head home. Walked straight to GZ and made a quick find."
