Driving up to the public viewing platform with JJCC and the family, we were expecting to see a lonely looking neglected concrete pedestal, but when we rounded the corner the trig was standing proud on the horizon. The concrete pedestal has had a new lick of white paint, nameplate is intact and now sports a new pole and black vains. Also on the pedestal is a dedication plaque for the opening of the viewing platform. Definitely well worth the detour from the main road.
