We used to have an Olympic Sports Stadium in Kialla, but sadly it is now closed.
The next best thing I could find is Olympic Avenue here in Shepparton.
We have had a few fine Olympians in our region, but so far no monument has been put up for them, other than the local Sportsman's Hall Of Fame, and it encompasses all sporting personalities, not just Olympians.
Sheppparton hosts a lot of sporting events, especially lawn bowls, and will be holding the World Beach Volleyball competitions early next year..
