Gallery of log for Podgers
I did an early morning run to the end of Kings Tableland Road to McMahon's Point and Battleship Tops. I was last time down this way in April 2015 and I had some unfinish trigs to do that in 2015 I looked at and noted some information on them. I even kept the paperwork on these trigs. So today it was time to complete these trigs along this road. It was a coolish November day which was good as it helped in achieving the find. Back in 2015 the bush was very thick from track and I noted in my notes as I was here in the early morning and it had rained the night before that I going to get very wet pushing my way through the thick bushes to trig. So, I left this one and moved onto other caches – trigs in the area. Between 2015 and now 2018 there has been a bush fire here and this has dramatically reduced the density of the bush between track and trig. The problem now is you are bushing your way to trig through burnt bush so you are going to come away a little black after completing trig. I have looked over the photos from 2015 to now from other cache people and it is very nice to see after the fire they did some maintenance and a good coat of paint here, very nice to see that. So, in the end it was very nice to complete this trig as I completed the near by trigs in 2015. It is just a shame that it doesn’t have its vanes anymore. It is interesting that it looks like there is 2 sets of vanes here, I wonder what the back story is about this. Once again thanks for the walk and the amazing view near here.
